CJ Intro

[Character info is under the cut.]

CJ is a character that would be introduced in a hypothetical Season 3 of Making Fiends, as Charlotte's older brother who, unknowingly as to what's going on in Clamburg due to not receiving any letters or calls from his grandma or sister since Vendetta doesn't allow it outside of Clamburg, moved to Clamburg after finally being done with, according to Charlotte, "Space Camp".

CJ has the same happy and optimistic attitude that both of his other family members have, but unlike Charlotte, he's fully aware about Vendetta's intentions. Instead of telling her about it or trying to convince her of the truth, for the sake of Charlotte's fragile heart, he decided to play along with the situation, while making sure that everyone and especially Charlotte, survive Vendetta's traps.

He usually does this throughout coming up with some sorta plan, that usually seems like utter nonsense that won't work at first.

He keeps the most random of objects in his fanny pack, some useful others nonsensical. It's an ongoing gag that he pulls out objects out of it that wouldn't realistically fit into it, or the exact random object that is needed at that moment.

For the residents of Clamburg his arrival was first met with, "There's two of them now??" but eventually people grew to appreciate his efforts, making him well liked by almost everyone.

To lighten up the mood, he often says dad jokes and puns that are silly enough as to where they can at least put a smile on your face if nothing else. Sometimes he's also the "straight" man for whatever kinda shenanigans Charlotte is up to.

The main gag regarding his character is that he's a pretty normal guy reacting to this very weird town, who doesn't know any better besides just rolling with whatever new anomaly he sees today.

A giant red cat just casually sitting there? Alright I guess that's a thing now good to know.

His optimism is seemingly endless, he always finds at least something to be happy about no matter how bad the situation, but he never makes it up.

Still, not everything goes according to plan.

Not every joke lands.

He has a bit of a "saying things he didn't mean to say out loud out loud" problem.

Some social interactions can get pretty awkward when he runs out of ideas.

Vendetta obviously doesn't like him and subjects him to the things SHE finds funny out of spite since he's breaking the "No jokes." rule and probably many other rules. Usually him getting hurt in some way.

His luck generally ain't the best, he tends to get hurt on sheer accident, hence why he always has bandages on random areas of his body. Another gag would be that he gets hit with Vendetta's attacks even if they couldn't have logically hit him of all people in the room.

But, hey. He has to make the most of it since he's not getting out of the town anytime soon, so he gets up and keeps on a smile, for everyone's, and especially Charlotte's sake.

And now that he's finally here again, new hijinks shall ensue!

Just for fun (and to double my procrastination), I'm gonna share some Picrew results for me attempting to create Otto and Atticus.

Apologies on the lack of maker links. Most of them do have the artist signatures on them, though.

(Also, if anyone is in need of alt text please tell me. I've not been putting it on many of my images, but I can easily remedy that if there's a visually impaired person who comes across this blog.)

I took two images I'd made from Shenkie's creator on Picrew, sized them appropriate to each character's approximate height, flipped Atticus, and edited them to fit my brain vision of these two.

Altered: facial hair, surgery scar, and gave Otto nipples

The freckles are HUGE, but I think Shenkie's facial options for Otto gave him that perfect awkward smile to try to look friendly. Also, body type perfection for Otto.

Atticus' mischievous smirk is in character as well.

Is the para girl flag anywhere in your picrew? Or heteroflexible?

Yep, it's under the gradient part shown in the image, under the light teal colour option.

It uses my alt paragirl flag.

(Edit because I forgot)

and heteroflexible is kind of a build it yourself situation. I did this so people could mix and match flexible flags however they wanted.

So to get heteroflexible, you'd chose the straight flag for the main ball, and the rainbow middle stripe option.

I was tagged for this Picrew by @anamoon63, @bool-prop, @silwermoon-sims, @faeriefrolic and I think one other person I couldn't find in my mentions. Wow, y'all really want me to give Aiden a sword! You know he's gonna hurt himself, right? 😭

This is exactly what that fool would come up with, I feel it in my bones. It's pretty, it's impractical, it's ridiculous. The little danglies aren't silver, they're clear. They're cubic zirconia. He'd never actually use it because he'd be too busy running from whatever the threat was but he'd like to have it hanging on the wall so he could look at it from time to time. I'd have to physically restrain him from making the whole thing a solid pink. That was an option, by the way. It was positively h i d e o u s.

I made one for Roman as well. He likes bats and light bondage themes in his attire, and also he's semi-aquatic. It suits him. He would actually use it. Probably for cooking. Probably while screaming, "I HAVE THE POWER" as he slices a loaf of bread with it while his dinner guests look on in bewildered horror. Please don't actually give Roman a sword.

I almost never include Rio in these things because they rarely ever have options I feel like she would pick herself. But this one...it just had a vibe to it. I imagined Rio at a Ren Faire or something telling the booth guy what she wants and him just judging the hell out of her for how boringly practical it is.

Sword Customizer: That's...that's it? Just a plain sword?

Rio: What do you mean? It's not plain, I put a ribbon on it.

Sword Customizer: Yeah but we have so many other options. You could make it sparkly, or look enchanted, or a rainbo--

Rio: What good is a sparkly rainbow sword going to do me in battle?

Sword Customizer: You're...not serious, right? You're not actually going to fight with this, right? This is a novelty shop. For tourists.

Rio: So? It's still pointy. It'll get the job done.

Sword Customizer: I--ok, as long as you sign the waiver, I don't care what you do with it when you leave here. Just don't mention me when the cops show up. Still, are you sure you don't want to add some of your personality to it? Something to represent a special interest of yours, perhaps?

Rio: Ugh, fine. *tapes a watch cog to the handle* Happy?

Sword Customizer: I haven't known happiness in a long time.
