Crazy how the "Minato and Kotone are twins but one of them dies in the car crash depending on who you choose" theory implies that the Velvet Attendants are created/assigned to the future Wild Cards the moment they're born (or at least very young)

decided randomly yesterday that i needed to design an bunch of velvet room attendants. atlus hire me or something. some notes under the cut

so as noted with merope in p5x they've basically run out of female frankenstien characters to name attendants after so i've decided to branch out a bit

mary, after Mary Shelley-- her outfit is based off of fashion popular in the 1810s-20s because frankenstien was first published in 1818

Wilhelmina, named after Mina Harker (nee Murray) from Dracula, I'm branching out on my gothic literature, based off of fashion from the late 1890s because Dracula was published in 1898 iirc

Quincey, named after Quincey Morris from Dracula, because I'll be honest this whole thing started from me thinking 'what if i used dracula characters. wait dracula has like 2 named women in it. Quincey is a gender neutral name.' and then my friend going 'okay but if you name one quincey they have to have an overdone texan accent in the localization at least' and i couldnt get that out of my head

Annabel, named after Annabel Lee from the poem of that name, poem written in 1849 so her outfit is vaguely 1850s/40s inspired

Henry, named after Henry Clerval from Frankenstien no notes on his design just look at this little guy

Ryoji and Velvet Room Makoto AU

Makoto bargains with Nyx to bring Ryoji back and let him live life as a human.

Ryoji’s life is bound to Makoto’s.

Makoto and Ryoji are together in the great seal for some time until Elizabeth finds a way to free him.

Makoto’s physical body no longer exists, so he can’t live in the physical world anymore. However, Makoto wants Ryoji to live as Ryoji. Not the appraiser. So Makoto gives the essence of his soul to Ryoji, allowing him to become human.

Ryoji is distressed when he wakes up in the physical world and realizes Makoto is nowhere to be found. He reconnects with SEES, who are just as confused as he is. They allow him to join them when they realize that their goals align, albeit with some mistrust.

Some time after, Ryoji encounters a blue door at the end of an alleyway.

Makoto becomes a velvet room attendant for Ryoji, who begins the journey of the fool.

Makoto has lost his humanity and does not have his memories as a human.

Ryoji tries to bring Makoto to meet SEES, but they can’t see him.

Ryoji brings Makoto lots of music from the human world.

Makoto slowly falls in love with Ryoji and life again, just like how he did before.
