Okay, okay so... this au came along while I was scrolling on Pinterest for drawing poses to practice with and I came across several poses of aerial performers. So being the very normal person that I am, my thoughts went to "oh hey, this but with Lasats.... ZEB! :D" And the thought to make it into a kalluzeb au was immediately born.

First the wips:

So I'm definitely going to be changing the perspective on this first one, its just too boring to me but ooooooh do I love the expressions I drew here.

And now the idea/backstory for the au:

I think it would be an au where the Empire never rose to power. Kallus is someone trying to blend in with upper society after climbing his way to the top, and one day is invited to go to the annual Lasat aerial performerance that was happening on Coruscant by some of his companions. Accepting the invitation, Kallus had no real expectations on what he's about to experience even though it was claimed to be "a truly life-changing experience." And boy was it!

The moment the curtain raises, Zeb immediately catches his eye and he's smitten. And he just has to go see that gorgeous Lasat performer again. He ends up going to several more performances, enchanted by Zeb every single time. He doesn't have any intentions of going up to Zeb at all, being fine with just watching him in his element, out of reach, with Zeb not knowing he exists at all. Until one day he

And honestly that's all I got 😔😔 I have no idea how they'll end up meeting properly or fall in love. But I definitely know that the heartbreak will come from the fact that Zeb has to return to Lasan eventually. Maybe I'll make it into a fic one day, but it definitely won't be soon since I have other writing wips I want to focus on 😔

aita for yelling at my friend because he said bad things to my other friend, i 17 (m) am friends with 3 people in a group: 16 (f), 16 (f) and 17 (m), my male friend (lets call him mark) and one of my female friends, (lets call her sierra), started arguing and my other female friend (we'll call her juniper for this story)

so me and sierra are working hard and practicing for a show, and sierra forgets something and during the live performerance, the show ends quickly as sierra forgets something. mark gets mad and yells at sierra for the show ending early and her being shy, then sierra leaves. i quickly go and defend sierra, calling mark out on his hyopcriticak actions and, while this is all happening, juniper is sad about us arguing and sierra leaving. then i tell mark he'll never reach his dreams as hes too focused on himself and what he wants and not the others, mark leaves and so do i to go find sierra, i later find out that we absolutely broke juniper's heart by arguing.

I think Timothee’s Oscar nomination was a fluke . He got lucky about that year not being so competitive in the male category and that the Oscar’s love a “upcoming actor” revelation once in a while but his performance in CMBYN pales in comparison to the people he was nominated with. He got incredible lucky.

I agree Tom Holland is a better actor but doesn’t seem to have a good agent. And Hollywood wants to make Timothee a thing so bad. But when I heard Tom Holland was also in the running for Wonka I was confused because doesn’t he has dancing background and he seems to do better with charismatic roles. He seemed like the better option altogether.

And another thing, Timothee’s hype should’ve been given to Jharrel Jerome or Lucas Hedges, two actors that were having their breakthrough that same year but barely got any hype for their performance. And mind you, Jerome is an Emmy winner which breakthrough role was in Moonlight, but he hasn’t been able to get the roles Timothee gets offered and he is the superior actor. But we know Hollywood so.

I definitely agree in terms of 2017 being a weak year for lead actors (gosh, while I think Daniel Kaluuya in Get Out was hands down one of the best performerances of the year, the Academy hates horror, and the fact that he got a [deserved!!] nom for that role lowkey shows what a weak year it was outside of genre cinema tbqh), but I don't know if I think Timothee's nomination was a fluke per se.

I actually don't particularly like Call Me By Your Name as a movie - I thought it was wildly overrated seeing it upon its release, and have rewatched it since and just - - never especially understood the hype, but I do think Luca Guadagnino had established himself as a director the Academy was Aware Of after I Am Love's nomination in '09, and I think there's a particular softness in terms of voters for an 'American falling in love in Italy' film dating back at the very least to Audrey Hepburn's 1953 Roman Holiday and more importantly to me specifically, haha, Katharine Hepburn's sublime turn in the 1955 Summertime.

I think that particular softness directly paired up with Hollywood's realisation that there were no young male stars to pin their hopes onto, and as a result Timothee probably felt dropped into their hands as a well-connected young actor in a prestige indie by an Academy-watched director that was a minority-focused, sun-soaked Europe coming of age story. That's catnip for The Academy, not a fluke, although yeah, I do think there was quite a lot of luck involved there too, haha.

I agree that Hollywood's committed to making him happen, but I think a huge part of that is because there hasn't really been an alternative up until this year. There have been so many failed male star attempts in the last decade (Dane DeHaan, Logan Lerman, Taylor Kitsch, Miles Teller and Alden Ehrenreich all spring to mind, and yeah, they all still have varying degrees of decent careers, but their 'movie star potential' seems shot [I also even like some of these dudes!]) and he's the one that's stuck the most, so I can't really blame the industry for trying to make him Leo 2.0.

And yeah, Tom Holland's agent... Look, I'm a controversial person always in this convo because I love The Devil All the Time, haha, and think he was genuinely so good in it, but I'm baffled by the seeming expectations around that movie as a launching pad for him professionally mid-MCU as Southern Gothic is - - y'know. Pretty niche as a genre overall! His team just doesn't really seem to know what to do with him though, and keep thrusting him back into roles that are both too young for him (Chaos Walking), and do nothing with his actual talent (Unchartered).

I do think he would've been better in Wonka than Timothee, but I'm also kind of glad he's not set up to fail with another soulless and bloated Disney film that could just further reduce his options. I said it in the last post, but I am genuinely so curious as to how he goes in the Fred Astaire bio pic, especially given it has the same director as Wonka (Paul King), and two writers who between them have written Billy Elliot, Rocketman, Jessica Jones and Mrs. America. I'm also less precious than others about Fred Astaire not wanting a bio pic about himself, so y'know, I have that too, haha, but I do wonder if that discourse will come into play when the movie actually comes out.

And agreed re: Jharrel Jerome on all fronts, but it's so nice to see him have such success this year with I'm a Virgo (planning on binging that when my office closes next week!). Hopefully he's the one with the richer career longterm, and Lucas Hedges - - man, he's a wild case to me, because I do think he's talented, and he also has so much nepotism on his side (his dad is THE Peter Hedges!! He arguably launched Leonardo DiCaprio's career!), so I tend to think he's just in a bit of a slump, but who knows.

I know I just posted my Depot Agent self insert sketch the other day but I also made a pokemon trainer sona & it's going to be ultra self indulgent & based on what I think would be my ideal life

Kay & her friends from college start a theatre company in Nimbasa City! Like, an actual human theatre, not like the pokemon musical theatre.

Although it is primarily a regular theatre, they also have a black box used for a variety of events, including battling!

The Meridiem Theatre hosts a small tournament during the second weekend of every month.

Kay is usually in charge of poster design, and when not acting in a production she'll help out on any crew that needs it (usually the lights crew). Every month she switches between helping run the battle tournament and participating in it.

She also has a lot of pokemon from when she she was a trainer & went around challenging gyms, and even made it to the Pokémon League but despite several attempts she wasn't able to beat all four of the Elite Four and conceded. She went to university & found a love for theatre & ended up majoring in it.

Her main battle pokemon are Parasol (a shiny Umbreon she's had since middle school), Luce (Chandelure), Cog (Klinklang), Lumi (Alolan Vulpix), Cuil (Quagsire), and Lys (Serperior). She also often brings Cog with her for lights calls to use

‘’What triggered this piece were the mice. We had a big influx of field mice that summer in the house and in the studio ... They were so plentiful even the cat was getting bored with them ... I was sitting around the studio being frustrated because I didn’t have any new ideas, and I decided that you just have to work with what you’ve got. What I had was this cat and the mice, and I happened to have a video camera in the studio that had infrared capability. So I set it up and turned it on at night and let it run when I wasn’t there, just to see what I’d get ... I thought to myself why not make a map of the studio and its leftovers ... it might be interesting to let the animals, the cat and the mice, make the map of the studio. So I set the camera up in different locations around the studio where the mice tended to travel just to see what they would do amongst the remnants of the work.’‘

Neuman je svaku noć u razdoblju od nekoliko mjeseci snimao svoj studio  kamerama koje je postavio na razne lokacije kako bi uhvatile aktivnosti koje se događaju kada on nije tu. Kamere su svaku noć snimale oko šest sati što je na kraju rezultiralo četrdesetdvosatnim materijalom.

Snimke su u postavu  istodobno projektirane na sedam ekrana i na njima se većinu vremena ništa ne događa. Jedinu aktivnost koju vidimo su mačka, miš i moljci. Neuman kadrove koje snima vidi kao pozornicu a životinje promatra kao performere za koje je pitanje slučajnosti kada će se pojaviti i što će se dogoditi ako se pojave.

Der er ti performere på scenen i Teater Malstrøms nye farverige og musikalske show ’Showdown’, der har premiere 8. september. To af dem er kærester og spiller nu sammen for tredje gang. De hedder Trille Jensen og Maja Lyngsø Møller. Trille er 25 år og Maja er 21. Trille er fæstningsbarn og Maja er tilflytter til Fredericia. Dokumentaren Freddie Mercury The Final Act eller Det Sidste Kapitel, som den hedder på dansk, er en helt igennem fantastisk og gribende gennemgang af Mercurys sidste år kombineret med fortællingen om HIV pandemien i 80erne.

Vi får historien om denne helt igennem fantastiske mand, der stadig frem til den dag idag er en af de største performere musikverdenen har budt på. Gamle venner, hans søster samt Roger Taylor og Brian May fra Queen er med til at fortælle om hans åbenlyse seksualitet, kærlighedsliv, kampene med de ubarmhjertige britiske medier og til sidst den store mindekoncert, der blev arrangeret i hans navn og som vi var mange millioner, der fulgte i TV med musikken i hjertet og til tider tårer i øjnene. Vi ser private optagelser og billeder fra Mercurys liv, gamle interviews med ham, optagelser fra prøverne til mindekoncerten og selvfølgelig fra selve koncerten.

Den er simpelthen et must. For fans af Queen, fans af Mercury, folk der vil forstå hvad der skete, da pandemien ramte og musikelskere generelt.

Hvis jeg skal have en ærgelse i forbindelse med filmen, så er det at John Deacon, bassisten i Queen, ikke medvirker. Det er der jo nogle årsager til, men det havde nu været prikken over det berømte i at han deltog.

Své druhé řadové album 10.000 Hz Legend, které předznamenal singl Radio #1 se strhujícím sborovým refrénem, vydala francouzská dvojice Air koncem května letošního roku. Podle slov obou členů Air je název jejich aktuální desky jen hříčkou s čísly a fyzikálními veličinami, která má nás posluchače zmást a přesvědčit, že během nahrávání docházelo k zajímavým experimentům se zvukovými vlnami. Ve srovnání s debutovou deskou Moon Safari se jedná o temnější, náročnější a umělecky ambicióznější kolekci skladeb. Ovšem stejně jako před třemi lety i tentokrát jsou jejich nejčastějšími tématy svoboda, láska, pro Francouze nezbytná erotika a hloubka představující protiklad povrchnosti.

J.B. Dunckel: Ve škole jsem nebyl jako ostatní. Žil jsem ve Versailles a tam jsou všichni dost usedlí, byl jsem tehdy velký příznivec skupin jako The Cure nebo Stooges, takže jsem se dost odlišoval - Tehdy už jsi se znal s Nicolasem? No, já jsem nejdřív chodil na jednu vyhlášenou střední školu, byli tam lidi převážně z Versailles a mě se tam v��bec nelíbilo. Byl jsem dost nesmělý a celkem mimo, měl jsem tak tři kamarády. Ale pak jsem s Nicolasem přestoupil na celkem normální školu, kam chodilo dost lidí z předměstí. To bylo lepší. S Nicolasem a dalšími jsme tehdy poprvé přemýšleli o vlastní kapele. Někdy v té době jsme dávali dohromady naši první kapelu a začali jsme zkoušet, půjčovali jsme si vzájemně desky, chodili na stejné filmy a oblékali se ve stylu new wave punk.

Přibližně v polovině 90. let vydali Jean Benoit Dunckel a Nicolas Godin své první singly na značkách Source a Mo´ Wax a přispěli na tři díly kompilace Sourcelab a úspěšný výběr Super Discount. Zásadní obrat v hudební kariéře těchto sotva třicátníků - jinak učitele a architekta - znamenalo album Moon Safari, které se jako zjevení objevilo počátkem roku 1998. Po vydání této desky zažili Air pravděpodobně největší mediální pumelenici svého života.

Nicolas Godin: Nemyslím, že bych kdy poslouchal desky spadající do populární hudby. Kdybyste se podívali do mé kolekce desek, moc popmusic byste tam nenašli. Třeba i v případě takových Beatles se mi vždycky nejvíce líbily písničky, které se nikdy nestaly hity. Nemám rád Yellow Submarine nebo Yesterday a nelíbí se mi ani Imagine od Johna Lennona. Můj vkus jde mimo populární hudbu. Když jsme třeba natáčeli skladbu Sexy Boy, chtěli jsme, aby to znělo hodně divně, aby na lidi působila znepokojivě. Něco jako když v Twin Peaks tancuje ten malý muž a k tomu zní dívčí zpěv - navíc falešný. Chtěli jsme tehdy vytvořit něco divného a on z toho byl hit, chápete to?

[Nechat zahrát Sexy Boy] Sexy Boy byl vybrán jako pilotní singl z desky Moon Safari, po něm následovaly o poznání křehčí a jemnější Kelly Watch The Stars a All I Need s okouzlujícím vokálem Beth Hirsh. Ohlasy na Moon Safari byly nadšené, kritiky pozitivní a z Air se stali králové post klubových nálad. Deska později figurovala na předních místech různých žebříčků o nejlepší album roku 1998. V květnu toho roku vyrazila dvojice celá bíle oděna na turné do New Yorku, Londýna a Paříže spolu s doprovodnou, taktéž bílou, kapelou.

[Ukázka jak o Air mluví muzikanti] Když chtějí něco vysvětlit muzikantům, používají velice poetické výrazy. Když nám třeba J.B. vysvětloval, jakým způsobem hraje určitou pasáž na klávesy, tak řekl, že hraje tak, že má pocit, že létá. Takhle on mluví. Dnes po koncertě třeba řekl Justinovi: ta basa byla dneska, hm, jako nádherný koberec!

Po úspěchu Moon Safari se Air vrátili ke svým starším singlům kolekcí Premiers Symptomes a založili vlastní label Record Makers, na kterém vyšel soundtrack k filmu režisérské dcery Sofie Coppolové The Virgin Suicides a album Sebastiana Tellera. Mezitím ve svém studiu ve Versailles, ale také v New Yorku a Los Angeles průběžně pracovali na svém novém albu.

[Povídání o jejich studiu ve Versailles] Tohle je určitě sám o sobě zajímavý prostor, je mimo Paříž, takže je tady nikdo nemůže otravovat. Myslím, že právě místní podmínky jim dovolily nechat se inspirovat okolím, přírodou a tichem. Jsme ve starém studiu, kde se dá ledacos zajímavého objevit. Jsou tu dost izolováni a to je to, co si ze všeho nejvíce přáli a co jim pomohlo při práci na první desce.

10.000 Hz Legend kombinuje naivitu předcházející desky s rafinovanými postupy experimentálního rocku 70. let, i tentokrát využívají Air nejnovější digitální technologie společně s analogovými přístroji a nadále nacházejí inspiraci ve filmové hudbě, v easy listening i francouzském popu dávno minulých dekád. Na závěr letošního roku připravují Air, kteří se ze své lásky k syntezátorům upřímně vyznávají v úvodní skladbě Electronic Performeres, rozsáhlé turné. Jen ty bílé oblečky na pódiu evokující lehkost a čistotu první desky se k atmosféře nových skladeb jaksi nehodí, a tak přišla na řadu černá.
