Nobbies Beach, Newcastle NSW Australia. In June 2007 the Hunter Region was hit with an unseasonal winter cyclone causing wide spread flooding along with the grounding of the “PASHA BULKER” It was feared the ship would break up as a result of the continuous pounding sea however with considerable skill and effort the ship was salvaged and returned to its country of origin some weeks later.

Ten years ago today an east coast low was smashing New South Wales.

On Newcastle's Nobby's Beach the wild waves and wind drove the cargo ship the Pasha Bulker onto the shore. And a desperate rescue effort began to save the lives of the crew.
