What is your Fnaf Au about?

It's kind of hard to explain or define simply. It's mostly just a rewrite/reinterpretation of already canon events (at least up until security breach when it becomes less of a reinterpretation and more of its own story...kinda.) Everything starts out the same. William kills Charlie, CC gets bit, Elizabeth dies, the other children go missing, and Michael has to clean up the mess. However in Security Breach things sort of veer on a different path. Rather than having a traditional Glitchtrap or Mimic, there's a different character who takes up both those roles....It's Vanny! Rather than having her be a subordinate I wanted to make her front and center stage for my AU. She is the main antagonist of Security breach, and she's the one in control. Vanny is NOT a human or a possessed Vanessa. Instead, she is a brand new product Fazbear entertainment has created. V.A.N.N.I, an "Entertainment system" Which serves as both a video game console, computer, phone, teacher, caretaker, and companion all in one, powered by AI. What could go wrong? (Unfortunately everything.) Vanni is not simply "AI program turned evil." She's something more than that. She's made up of pieces of the past. The horrible tragedies and grief that William and Freddy's caused. VANNI serves as a vessel for all of this agony and pain, because Fazbear Entertainment Won't let Freddy's just die. And all she feels is pain. A pain she's felt since the moment she was born. And she wants everybody else to feel that too. Vanessa is one of the main developers of VANNI and of course this is all going on unbeknownst to her. VANNI forms a strange and incredibly strong attachment/"friendship" to Vanessa, and everything pretty much goes downhill from there! I need to properly write this all down cause I'm sure this doesn't make complete sense and comes off very rambly. I also wanna let you know that fnaf 1-6 is just as important as help wanted-security breach in my AU, I just didn't know how to describe the first part of my au without just retelling the entire story of fnaf with some differences and my own headcanons LOL Ultimately my FNAF AU is about a lot of things. It's about grief and the pain that comes from it, and how that pain can become so powerful it ends up destroying everything else around it. It's about that ache you feel when you feel like you don't belong anywhere. It's about so desperately wanting to be loved you'll tear others open just to see what it's like. It's about what comes when you fail to acknowledge your mistakes, when you pretend the past never happened, and the consequences that can bring when that ultimately leads you to repeating the same thing you tried so hard to avoid. - TJ’s family tended to go to McDonald’s a lot so now he thinks going anywhere besides McDonalds is super fancy.

Cyrus: Should we go to Wendy’s?

TJ: Woah there, I would have worn something nicer than a hoodie if I had known

- I still love the idea of Tarty exes, that still lives in my brain, so I would love the idea of Buffy and Cyrus planning a double date and then TJ and Marty sit down like “what are you doing here?”

- TJ asks Andi to help him make a gift for Cyrus for one of their monthiversaries and it is about as awkward as you can expect because TJ keeps getting so frustrated and Andi isn’t the best teacher but eventually they have a breakthrough and it results in the best gift ever

- TJ keeps coyly asking Cyrus to come to the swing set with him and Cyrus is kind of avoidant about it until eventually he confesses that he saw him and Kira there and that it really hurt him and TJ gets to explain and apologize

- They stop trying to have milkshake dates at The Spoon after the tenth time it’s crashed by the entire GHC plus Amber plus Jonah plus Libby and so on and so forth

- You better believe that next costume day TJ goes all out to apologize. He makes the two of them do several costume changes throughout the day and each of them are disgustingly sweet couples costumes. There’s not a single person at Grant High that doesn’t know they’re together.

- TJ and Cyrus movie dates consist of High School Musical 1 2 and 3 just because I said so

It's kind of silly but I always see an "in-between" identity as just "ah, bisexual"

Probably because when I was first in queer online discourse I mainly got "stop being biphobic" stuff as "we are not half and half, we are our own sexuality" and generally seeing bisexuality as the forgettable middle. Sexuality being a spectrum and pointing to bisexuality as the "middle" or in-between of two binary choices. Since I don't think in words usually it can also just be purple for the same idea, you're red or blue, and the in between does not exist to many. It's purple or just the bi pride flag.

So I sit there like "gray aspecs are bisexual" and know if I say that out loud, people will assume I have the most batshit take imaginable. When really it's "they fall on the spectrum when people like binaries."

What's making me think about this currently? Looking at what being plural implies, seeing that non-system plurals can exist, and immediately going "ah, I find myself to be bisexual once again" because I'm sure it'll attract a lot of flack if you can't fit in one or the other.

the "MC charming reader more than the character" is a phenomena i especially experience with your writing, theyre just so- please one chance. Seriously, you just have a way of writing characters, both original and existing ones, but especially original ones

PLSSSSS i'm honored to know that i fall into this category!!!! characters are what i pay attention to the most whenever i write. i make so many notes on their habits, quirks, motifs... i like building worlds/stories around my MCs. it's why my heart does a triple backflip somersault handstand whenever one of you guys submit art of your interpretation of my MCs. i hoard the pngs like a dragon does their mountain of treasure.

Oh boy... please, for the sake of everyone involved please do NOT give this woman pets to take care of... She can barely be assed to take care of her flesh prison and so tends to be a husk of a human that only care about acquiring knowledge & doing mad scientist shit in her garage 40 (good days) to 85 (bad days) percent of her time... Honestly if Rena and her other friends weren't around I do not know how she'd not starve to death because she pushed eating down her priority list for 5 days in a row and now she doesn't have the energy to go get food or because her heart finally gave out after her 98th cup of coffee without anything else consumed in-between in the past 3 days.

For the sake of humoring more of the ask and theme though, if she does not have to care for it and only gets the upside of enjoying a little critter's company, I think Lana would be very partial to :

Snakes ! They don't move around a lot and feel nice so she'd love keeping them hanging around her while working / studying and they'd probably love being on her because she always runs hot. Also she'd love their little tongue poking out to sniff around, very cute... they honestly probably remind her of Rena too so that's even more added bonus.

Cats... AS LONG as they understand the very hard rule that the desk is off limits. There is too much either fragile, precarious or dangerous shit going on up there... But she would absolutely enjoy curling up on the couch with a cup of tea and a kitty on her lap to read.)

I forgot to inform you that my paras are kidnapped characters from multiple source materials, so you might hear familiar names here and there.

I hope you're also cool with them acting a bit too ooc. They strayed way too far from their canon personas now (the more important/prominent the character, the further they stray from it). They're like OCs caged in fandom character meat suits now and some of them even have a problem with it. It's fun, I like the concept.

14. Although Finality's Fault is nowhere near done (36k words and not even close to a quarter of the way through. Oh wow this is gonna be a journey!), by far the biggest thing I'm wanting readers to get from the story I'm telling is this:

There will always always always be a reason to keep living, no matter what horrible things life throws at you. The world is better with you in it, and it's okay to hate your situation, but please keep living.

It's fitting for an au set in a dystopian/apocalyptic environment to be bleak at times, and the Ranchers are gonna end up going through a lot, but it's not all going to be constant doom and gloom, and I want that little flicker of hope to be evident throughout.

15. The biggest thing I've learned through this is how to let go of my first draft perfectionism. For my previous oc stories, I would spend hours on a single sentence sometimes. But with FinFault, I've discovered that I actually love editing even more than I love writing. So I'll write until a chapter has everything I want it to include (three or four days of off and on work for about 5k words), I let it sit for a few days, and then I come back and spend about the same amount of time editing it. And the whole process is so much more efficient, and I end up with something that I like way more than if I'd tried to get it perfect the first time.

And yes, Rora, you were indeed one of the reasons I started writing fic! I've been writing oc stories for almost a decade now (longest one was 88k), but as much as I loved reading fic, I was too scared to write it myself. I was terrified that I was going to mess up the characterization of someone else's character if I tried. I had ideas, but I'd never try them. But reading your Ice Walls au and Aquaquadrant's From Eden made it really click in my brain that there's multiple different ways to write a character and none of those ways are "wrong." The way you write Tango is very different from how Aqua writes Tango and both of those ways are different from how I write Tango, which are all different from how other writers write Tango. But they're all Tango. And they're all effectively a love letter to c!Tango, whom we were each inspired by to create art in different ways. And I love that. I love that so much, and I'm no longer scared to tell the stories I want to tell even if the characters I'm writing about aren't "mine" per se. So thank you for being part of the reason I've discovered my love for this art form! :D <3

11. Who is the worst driver? It has to be Marinette, she is always in a rush so she adapted to getting from point A to B as quickly as possible, her breaks be damned.

- honest to god neither of them would say anything to her, she wouldn’t even be aware that she was a crazy driver until Alya got in the car and was like YOU ARE STRESSING ME OUT LET ADRIEN DRIVE

- Post revelation Luka teaches her how to be a more zen driver which she totally practices all the time definitely not only when her boyfriends are in the car with her Original
