He felt like his eyes were about to start twitching from lando's rambling.

Don't get him wrong, Logan loves listening to him talk about race or rumble about his interests for hours. Lando's voice had a very pleasant tome to it and the way his accent was always swirling around words felt funny between his teeth so nothing to complain about.

But it wasn't same situation, here lando was spiraling and walking in circles about how will start of the race go, like he tried to talk himself into the ground and that's. That just won't do. They both are anxious and somewhat overthinking by nature and the way their sport is doesn't help in the slightest.

And right now lando looks like he's about to vibrate out of his skin using only speed of his talking. So Logan does the only logical thing to make it stop, gets up from their bed (where they should have been asleep already), catches brit in his hands and leans to taste lando's accent himself.

It's quick but affective kiss, something they found out helps both of them in situations like this when reinforced with some realistic opinions, something like-

"ypu gonna do great. I know starts aren't your strong suits so what? McLaren is absolute rocketship and i know you have enough skills to fight back" lando settles back into himself while listening with skin feeling like it should for the first time since he got out of media pen, tries to find a proper way to hug, searching for his favourite spot to hide in. It's right where Logan's neck meets his shoulder "just don't forget to wave to me whe I'm getting lapped okay?"

Jun’ichirou glances at the people beside him. He’s had the unfortunate opportunity to sit right in between the two organisations, the Agency and the Guild. Technically, only the teenagers from both sides are here, so it’s slightly less intimidating, but still.

Except for the guy next to him who is taking bites out of a raw, unpeeled potato.

Steinbeck catches his eye and smiles, offering up the half-eaten potato. “Want a bite?”

“…No thanks.”

“Shame. You know, we don’t have to steal a tractor. I’ve got tons back home.”

Jun’ichirou blinks. “Isn’t your home, like, half the globe away?”

“Yeah. I could get Herman to fly us there really fast though.” Steinbeck decides he doesn’t want his potato anymore and sets it down on the table. “Want to come with?”

19. Vices/bad habits - Mina

I think she picks at the skin around her fingers whenever she gets nervous. That probably doesn’t sound too bad, but as someone who does this on a regular basis, without going into detail…it’s not a good habit. Your fingers will not look nice after a while of doing this. I imagine she’s tried to break this habit numerous times through various methods, but nothing has stuck. She was worried how Jonathan would see her fingers when he proposed (she attempted to stop picking when she had a feeling this was going to happen soon), but all he did was kiss her fingers and tell her the ring looked perfect on her delicate fingers (<33333). I would think up some way for her to break this, but as I have tried and failed to break the habit myself…uh…good luck, Mina! I will say in a modern AU, she comes close by using fidget toys to play with rather than defaulting to picking the skin.

Another “bad habit”, though it’s more of an instinct I think, is to always clear her plate and hoard food whenever possible. As an orphan, I’m sure she knew food scarcity as a child, and I imagine this is something she still finds herself doing, even though she has a more secure environment. This will fade with time and further security.

27. Their guilty pleasure - Seward:

I feel like because he likes recording himself on a phonograph, he would be a big fan of music. Therefore, he *loves* attending concerts, the opera, and, yes, theatre whenever possible!! He hasn’t had time lately because of his emotions, but hopefully he’ll get some time to attend soon (I say, fully knowing what comes next). I also think this is something he likes to do on his own, but perhaps he’ll be able to share his love of the arts one day with the people in his life! Or, he’ll keep it a solo guilty pleasure. You never know with Seward.

3. Obscure headcanon - Arthur

I hope you’re not mad about this, anon, but I honestly haven’t heard very many headcanons about Arthur (which is my own fault, I know, I need to branch out and read more Dracula fanfics — especially those with Arthur as the titular character). So, I came up with a headcanon based off of something I don’t think we talk about enough with Arthur’s character (although, since Arthur is such an underrated character, would that make all of his headcanons obscure? Things to consider).

So we know that Arthur went on adventures around the world with the other members of the Suitor Squad, right? Well, I think during — or even before — those adventures, he also unlocked a passion for all things ✨ cartography ✨ (for the uninitiated, this is the art of creating maps)! This man loves maps. I honestly think he and Mina (when they meet up) would totally bond over something like this! He could make her railroad maps!!! The potential!!!! I don’t think we talk enough about Mina and Arthur’s friendship (myself included) so, to me, this is a good launching point. :D

8: what happens if one of them gets sick?

Like in that one chapter where Jere is sick, Bojan would be very attentive and provide a lot of comfort. He's a no nonsense kind of caretaker so if Jere wants something that's not good for him while he's sick, the answer is a simple no. He is very gentle tho and understands that being sick reminds Jere of unpleasant memories so he's extra sweet with his angel <3

Jere might panic a little if Bojan is the sick one but composes himself quickly and does his best to help his boyfriend feel better asap. He'd probably do a lot of Google searches and cook Bojan some soup :3 If Bojan struggles to rest, he'll stay with him and verbally speak to Bojan until he drifts off to sleep♡

11: do they try to hide their emotions if upset?

I actually don't think this couple in particular struggles with that. Bojan and Jere are both emotional and sensitive and communication is a big part of what makes their relationship work so well. They're each other's safe spaces and so I don't think they'd ever purposely try to hide how they feel from one another. If one of them does attempt to hide, though, I think the other would immediately notice and try to talk it out right away

12: do heated arguments happen often? How do they smooth things over?

In general, not really. They're both very in tune with the other's emotions so it's unlikely for big fights to happen between them. There could be arguments caused by smaller things tho. For example: Jere is prone to doing things kind of last minute or taking a long time to get ready while Bojan is often anxious about being on time for things and this might make them clash sometimes. However they can never really stay mad at each other for long, there's too much love between them for that.

To smooth things over after an argument, Bojan is the one to buy flowers and (attempt) to make dinner while Jere will verbally apologize and explain his reasoning for behaving a certain way/acknowledging when he was in the wrong

15: do they always say I love you before leaving?

It's not something they necessarily pay attention to. They always make sure to say goodbye but they tell each other I love you multiple times a day so it's not a thing they specifically say before going somewhere. Unless it's when one of them is going back home to their respective country, in that case there's always several love confessions before leaving :")

17: who's more likely to pull the other in by the waist and kiss them passionately?

Hmm I'd say Bojan. He's for sure the kind of guy to do silly romantic things like spin Jere around and dip him before kissing him. Especially after a drink or two, Bojan can get really passionate and if Jere is within grabbing range, trust that he WILL be grabbed (Jere quite enjoys it tho 🤭)

Bojan is an acts of service kind of guy (getting breakfast ready while Jere sleeps, driving his angel around whenever he needs) while Jere is very physically affectionate and will shower Bojan with kisses and hugs. They're more into stargazing :P Both of them are pretty high energy so it's pretty likely that they'll end a night out by looking at the stars for another hour before heading back home

I generally don't consider much of anything to be a NOTP. There's like three tropes where I will read any pairing. However, I come close with a few in Teen Wolf, believe it or not.

Stiles/Deucalion: It makes no sense. They never even interact in canon, and we have over 100 more Stiles/Deucalion than we do Scott/Deucalion fics? Really? REALLY? Deucalion, who is OBSESSED, canonically with Scott. Like a character uses the words "he is obsessed with you" to Scott's face, and everyone ships him with stiles??? COME ON.

The way fandom treats a few pairings just makes me steer clear of those fics unless they are one of the tropes I (didn't really) mention or written by someone I know and trust. Those are Stiles/Theo and Stiles/Derek.

I really can't think of any other NOTPS? I am not fond of Steve/Tony in MCU. Just not my thing, but again, will read in certain tropes. Everyone in YOI is shippable to be in some way. Star Trek is really the same way. My bi/pan poly ass thinks every love triangle can really be solved with a threesome so it solves a lot of problems for me.

Johnny Silverhand didn’t get tied down, and if there were handcuffs he was always the one in charge. But if there was one advantage to being reduced to borrowing a new body every week it was that he didn’t really have a reputation to worry about. i did overall really enjoy elden ring… in hindsight though, i think the reason i didn’t get as into it was because as i played i couldn’t help but feel that it had a problem with cohesion. there’s so many beautiful areas and different stories and mechanics and themes and symbols, but at least while i was playing i felt like it was just too Much. there was a lot of breadth, but at the expense of depth. i don’t know if this is a general critique or maybe just a matter of it not being my cup of tea — i just feel that the story and game mechanics are pulled in so many different directions that it just doesn’t all work together in the end. there was a lack of cohesion, something i think open-world games run the risk of already. but where games like skyrim and breath of the wild succeeded by having a consistent throughline, i felt it was missing in elden ring. the game was absolutely stunningly gorgeous! i just wish there had been a bit more tying it all together.

i’d love to know more about other people’s experiences though!!!
