     Jax stands as neutral as ever, his face so blank, emotionless... Scarily so. Usually around Wes he shows disdain, annoyance, malice... But not today. There’s nothing there. Nothing is reflecting upon him. He’s just empty looking.

     A step forwards.

     “That is not how you greet a friend.”

     Another step forwards.

     “A friend who you annoy to high hell.”

     Once again he steps closer.

     And his face twists.

      “I want your fucking head.”

As soon as both their hands reached for the same drink, Volkner knew it was on. He was quite familiar with the other’s temperament, a choice to remain companions, acquaintances... Whatever they were... Completely voluntary and a pleasure. It wouldn’t be a fun day without his buddy.

Still, Volkner wouldn’t back down this time. “Sorry, what do you think you’re doin’ again? Pretty sure this was my drink I ordered, not yours?” His tone intentionally condescending, meant for a bait to get a reaction out of the other.

     Kane stands there for a moment looking utterly blank as he processes what Wes just said, his mouth perking open a little before he finally speaks.

     “You’re hired!” He exclaims, giving a thumbs up. “That were the test t’get hired. Y’had t’repeat after me an yer did kinda soooo...”

     He pulls a card out from the pocket on his pants, offering it over.

     It’s blank.

     “So now we party an’ get wasted an’ take down Rocket.”

     Shay shifts her stance a little, hands still in her pockets, head still bowed forwards, shoulders still slumped, looking as shady as ever with her hood up in the gentlest of rain. Curious, she had approached the stranger, perhaps wondering if he had money to rob. But he had noticed her and so, well... Small talk it is.

     “I don’ linger anywhere, man. Travelling’s my thing y’see. Been ‘ere a few weeks and not seen yer either. So wot is it? D’you travel too? Somethin’ t’run from?”

     No matter how much the shorter man shakes his head, Jax keeps a keen grip upon his chin, thumb pressing so firmly with the tip of it that the nail would even dig in. Upon his expression is something of a malicious gaze mixed with curiosity, an all too coy smile upon his lips. He feels as though something clicked in his mind, that he has discovered something about this guy. Yet he really knows nothing. He only has theories to mind.

     “My hands may be dirty but... Mm. I wash them often.”

     He leans his face in closer, eyes darting between the man’s own two. How curious. He does wonder the story of this little pest. 

     “What is it with you and Pokemon with an infestation of Shadow, mm? Is it a guilty conscience or perhaps you have crossed them before and simply took pity? Tell me more for I grow further curious about you.”

It was dark. Cramped, but not restrictive. Tape stifled her cries for help to the voices she heard,

She couldn't even recall what had been said prior. Some men had just approached her, stuck tape over her mouth, bound her wrists together, and stuffed her into a bag.

Something about her 'powers', sight, whatever...

But new voices, the sound of a fight- She wanted out, thrashing inside the itchy sack she'd been trapped in, her cries for help muffled but still loud.
