I'm wondering if the endgame for Dragon Knights is that both Wales and Dalmore are going to fall and then they along with Feendrache will be unified into a single country with Arthur as king. That way the whole knights of the roundtable thing might actually happen.

that's actually my expectations too

in the Arthurian myth, Arthur unites all of Great Britain. It's also believed that his death cut short on his destiny and it's why his body was delivered to Avalon, the mystical island of fairies, with the promise that one day, when the world needs it most, Arthur will come back.

We know that in the Granblue Verse, the island on which Feendrache & else exist on is "Avalon", a name lost to time. We also know this name represented the unity of the people living in harmony with the fairies and dragons and it's the invasions of the Astrals that destroyed this harmony. Meanwhile the "Sheath" and the "Sword" exist as descendent from this old world, and we know they don't always awaken at the same time. And we learnt the Fairies are coming back, as well as the fact the Valiant's return shows the return of dragons.

Imo it sets up that the world of old, "Avalon", is coming back. The divisions made by the men will be irrelevent to the fated unification that is needed. If "Avalon" is returning at the time of Arthur's reign, it fits just enough on the legend to expect that "Arthur is back from/to Avalon to unite the people when the world need it most"

So Wales and Dalmore will likely fall - or even if they keep their regency they'll plead their loyalty to King Arthur and this is how we're getting the Round Table properly.

Meanwhile considering we already got the battle of Cammlen in Strength to Wield, i think we're avoiding the death flags over Arthur and Mordred - instead of their death, this event led to their metaphorical rebirth as legendary figures for the world to come. Which adds even more to the "Arthur is returning" thread going on.

So yeah, i know granblue plays loose with the mythology but generally it keeps still some similar threads that i can see how it can happen.

and yeah, my expectations is for Arthur to unite the Land ever since Avalon was namedropped eheh

Why Joey's EOTPII/Casino character was Owen: a theory

First of all, let's introduce our guy: waiter #4 or, as he's called in the subs (more on that later), the manager.

During the first Spies viewing, one usually pays attention to Joey, as they might be expecting Owen to return in one way or another. I personally got so caught up with this character because of Joey's body language.

Eyes on the Prize II is a very showy number: the ensemble must move at the same time, and they should all be in the same page. They are showy, yet classy; ostentatious, yet controlled. They have to be all the glamour and riches they are singing about.

That's why waiter #4 stood out to me: he's serious as the other are, yes, but he also seems angry. Here are some ensemble photos so that you can see it:

Why the intensity? Why those gestures? I really encourage you all to rewatch A1P6 so that you can see it, as he keeps the energy for the whole number (even the quick "keep your eyes on the prize" changes). He's not even the waiter that Curt knocks out after his PTSD attack.

It is also remarkable how these expressions are really similar to another (queer) villain of Joey: Wilbur Cross. Wilbur in Made In America and this waiter has a really similar body language. Coincidence? I don't think so.

If it was only Eyes On the Prize II though, I wouldn't be thinking that much about this... But waiter #4 is one of the three waiters with lines in that scene (the other two being Brian's and Lauren's), so let see what he does.

Joey's waiter first talks when Curt loses it and threatens the Informant, quickly jumping to defend them. Joey's character reacts almost immediately, so he must have been nearby, and is so aggressive that Curt backs down quickly. After threatening Curt with throwing him out of the Casino, he checks the Informant to see if they are okay.

The subs call this character "Manager", and it would thus explain the way he acts: he was nearby because he's in charge of everything that's going on, and he does have the power to expel costumers if they act inadequately. A manager also spends a lot of time with his employees, so it makes sense that he's protective with them.

Why then, is the next character Joey plays also called "Manager"?

This character (that, according to the subs, is the same person) has a foreign accent, something none of the other waiters had, and a silly high-pitched voice. His purpose in this scene is to finish humiliating Curt: he tells Curt he has an immense debt for the night and also rebounds his check. The manager is cordial to Tatiana, greeting her while Curt struggles with his payment. He also leaves once Tatiana suggests a solution, and, in a lower voice (similar to no moustache!Manager) says "thank you, ma'am".

Why are these two characters technically the same role? One may think it's because other actors need to be prepared for a quick change or something, but Tessa doesn't! Her next role is ensemble in Not So Bad, and they have a good 3-4 minutes until that. And if they are supposed to be different characters, why would the subtitles use the same name for him? Joey's choices also seem to be stage directions, especially in the coreo. There are too many details for it to be simply a coincidence.

What's the reason, then? Joey is playing Owen at the casino: after his first encounter during A1P3, Owen is on alert knowing that he might cross path with Curt again. He thus decides to go undercover in the casino to see if he'll meet him before attending to Von Nazi's plan. Owen wants to be close, but remain unseen, so he plays one of the waiters of the floor. However, when Curt threatens the Informant, Owen's feelings betray him and quickly intervenes, probably triggered by Curt "brutish ways". After that, Owen has to return with a new role (moustache), as he wants to know where Tati and Curt are leaving. He thus takes advantage of Curt's state to mess a little with him, a little bit of foreplay before what he has prepared for him.

TL; DR:

This also provokes so many fun little headcanons and possibilities. Like, did the Informant and Owen had a relationship then? Would Tatiana have noticed it? Does Owen really think Curt is stupid enough to not recognize someone just by a different voice and a stupid accent? I think it could give way to a lot of fun ideas (but also I do need to know why did they have Joey twice and not Joey and Tessa)

Ch 17: Exam

Shen has Mui call in the entire Union team, and they arrive via a crack in the sky. "Don't worry," he says, "Leave it to them." His faith in his team is so precious.

This chapter is crazy. We get to see a lot of the Union members show off their powers and Victor's reactions to them. It seems like some of these people and techniques are familiar to him while others are not. Let's make a fun chart.

THINGS VICTOR SEEMED SURPRISED BY:

We already knew that the number of members at the Round Table can grow and shrink. I wonder if ten members seems large or small to him.

He scoffed at the idea of the Union members using defensive techniques. When Billy used the shields for his Ricochet, Victor had to admit it was effective.

Nico's attack

Nico tries to cut Victor in half, which makes Victor grin. He's not as frowny anymore; his expressions are more similar to Andy's. They both seem to find a lot of joy in fighting. Maybe it's all just a game to them since they can regenerate.

That's some weapon you've got there.

Aaaaand Victor's smile disappears once he realizes that Nico actually knows what he's doing and can injure him. He takes aim at Fuuko, but again is surprised by...

Top's Speed (haha get it? Top Speed?)

That kid's fast...He's found a way to use his negation ability to his advantage.

Victor scoffs at Isshin's ability, calling it only brute force, but concludes that the team is actually pretty good. That explains the chapter title, Exam.

But how does Victor know what happened to Unchange? He knows she's missing.

Victor decides that Isshin must have some kind of hardening ability, so that makes another ability he was unfamiliar with.

Phil's abilities seem new to Victor

And Juiz's flaming sword is new to Victor, though he recognizes it as UMA Burn's technique.

Even though the Union has impressed Victor, he's still trying to take them down. Fuuko strikes with her unluck-imparting-boob-contact-attack, but what kind of Unluck will it take to bring down someone like Victor?

It's also worth stopping here to compare Victor's bloodlust to Shen's. They both love fighting, but Shen's delight comes from the understanding that every battle is a part of the road to getting stronger. Victor already knows he's strong. His joy seems to come from seeing others get strong enough to beat him.

one last pic. Fuuko is so eager to take part in everyday life. She's so happy to have opportunities to go through the kinds of dumb everyday social rituals that others take for granted. I love her so much!

What are your general headcanons of SAYU?

Compilation of headcanons and analysis about Sayu (+ the "Sayu Team") and other related things.

just a heads up! I don't see sayu as an AI even if the wiki lists her as such (the wiki also lists the sayu team as her creators which isnt. true???). to me, she's literally just tila's vtuber rig, so this post won't focus much on sayu as a "person" like the DJSS post!

I do have some in-depth HCs about it and stuff, but yeah! this was just the warning for ppl who don't like this specific portrayal of sayu

All of the marketing related to Sayu is meant to blur the line between fiction and reality.

Okay, okay bear with me for a second! This is gonna be a long one just to explain a single HC.

Sayu is meant to be an obvious homage to digital idols like Hatsune Miku, but whereas Hatsune Miku can be easily described as a voicebank and a very malleable character to play with when creating songs and different versions of her, Sayu doesn't have this advantage within NSR, since she originates from a videogame instead.

This means that while Miku can be a blank slate for people to do as they wish with her, it's harder to do with Sayu because she has an established, solid lore and personality within the game she comes from.

I like to think that, as rock (not just the music genre, but that specific mindset and all the subcultures and aesthetics that came with rock) began to fade out from Vinyl City, it was inevitably overshadowed by the complete opposite - cutesy, colorful and starry-eyed characters.

Doki Doki Mermaid Club was released during this transitional period within Vinyl City, and because it was brand new and so very different from what people knew, it became a hit. Like Kul Fyra, the citizens of Vinyl City became tired and their passion fizzled out. Instead of rock and its mentality of addressing serious issues, speaking against injustice, being loud, brash and so on, people were now drawn to the more chill, soft and pastel vibe this new genre brought.

And I like to think that NSR, specifically Tatiana, noticed that there was a lot of potential within parasocial relationships between idols and fans. But because Sayu was still tied to a game, they had to slowly force her out of it so she could go from "Sayu, from DDMC" to "Sayu, NSR's Megastar", if that makes sense.

This process would include buying the company behind the game and allowing it to simply disappear from the public's memory while Sayu's fame continued on growing. The rest of the characters were used to prop Sayu, as a way to profit from nostalgia, but once they outlived their usefulness, they were forgotten. The same thing that happened to Ex-Jay and all other rock bands prior EDM.

"But why would NSR go so far as buying a company just to let it die?" They canonically did that with smaller companies - in Akusuka, you can interact with Sayu Snacks and this dialogue confirms the lengths NSR is willing to go for success:

MAYDAY: I remember the day they bought over the tiny Vinyl City factory that made these. The mom-and-pop couple was so happy, but I kinda miss the packaging for Sheriff Bob's Barley Shots. ZUKE: Sayu-brand snacks… does Sayu even eat these? She's completely digital, right?

With this context, it makes sense to me that once Sayu established herself as a popular character, NSR would risk it all and hire a bunch of teenagers to ensure she continues being relevant.

This ensures Sayu's existence as an alleged "AI", she's as real as you and she's promoting your favorite snacks! She's cute and she lives in a huge tower where she hosts her concerts! She's Sayu and she loves you and she's also your internet provider! She's real because you can take pictures with her! She's REAL because her influence bleeds into every aspect of Akusuka.

MAYDAY: Hey! It's one of those picture booths I've heard so much about! This one even lets me pretend to take pictures with Sayu! Wait, why would I want that? ZUKE: I heard these things were once all the rage, but now, they've been relegated to only the Akusuka district...I guess we have Sayu to thank for that.

By allowing people to believe in Sayu as a person, NSR also makes sure to protect the identity of the unseen team behind her. It's two birds one stone, really. It's not unlike the way 1010 operates, with Neon J behind it all as a manager. Both of them profit from the exact same thing: allowing fans to obsess over made-up personas.

That's why implying Sayu isn't real is such a taboo within Akusuka - it destroys everything NSR worked so hard to build. But in the end, Sayu is still four people acting and keeping up with the façade because of their love for the character. That's why her mural in Tatiana's office only pictures her without the Sayu Team, unlike 1010's which has Neon J in the dead center.

The idea of turning Sayu into a proper, independent AI in order make better use of assets and resources hasn't been entirely shelved, however. But given Vinyl City's history with AI - that is to say, the fake background memories given to warbots - I think NSR would want to wait a little more to polish that plan before putting it into action, as a fully conscious and independent Sayu wouldn't be able to properly care for a whole district, and having her team of teenagers take the lead in administration would also be pretty fucked up.

And that leads me to my next headcanon!

Similar to Yinu, the Sayu Team has little to no power when it comes to managing Akusuka. They do, however, have full control over Sayu and how she's portrayed.

The reasons are the same as mentioned above - they're too young, lack knowledge and NSR would prefer to be the ones running the whole thing instead from the shadows, etc, etc. It's the same situation as Yinu.

But! To balance things out, though, the Sayu Team was given full creative control over Sayu - her design, her personality, the types of ads she'll be involved with, etc etc. This ensures that Sayu continues being relevant and "hip" with the newer generations, hence her popularity with younger kids and teens. The only reason she hasn't strayed much from her original conception is because all four members are very careful to respect Sayu's roots, being their favorite character and all.

I like to think Remi is the most protective when it comes to Sayu's image, his designs are always in-character for her and all potential collabs/crossovers with other franchises or whatever must go through him first to ensure she doesn't break too much character. I'd even argue that he could be the leader (or at the very least, the much more organized member) of the group, just based on that little moment of him staying calm and planning how to win against B2J while everyone else was panicking.

Tila and Dodo, while they both trust Remi's judgement, believe that broadening their horizons could be fun and better for them on the long run - Tila, as the heart of the group and the voice of Sayu, loves engaging as much as she can with fans, and Dodo just thinks it would be very cool to have Sayu in different media, like fighting games (though it's more of an excuse to show off his motion capture skills).

Sofa and Remi are also the members who care the most about the other mermaids from Doki Doki Mermaid Club. And while Sofa often insists for them to bring them all back somehow, Remi understands that their contract is most likely against it, so he's content just doing fanart for the group.

Since all of them are young and their designs are meant to represent introverted and geeky students, plus taking into consideration their demographic, I could see them use Sayu to speak a lot about important issues like bullying and mental health!

All four members are very close, obviously. But they're also very close to Yinu and her Mama!

This is partially because all adults agree that Yinu should interact with people her age - the thing is, the closest people to her age are the Sayu Team.

I like to think they've become sibling figures to her, and that they're all often lumped together during NSR events. There is also something to be said about Mama and how she just immediately takes the Sayu Team under her wing, since they don't have their parents around 24/7 to support them like Yinu does. Maternal instincts and all.

It's very surprising for citizens of Vinyl City to see Yinu and Sayu doing collabs together, as Sayu is often paired with 1010 due to their similar status as idols, but because of the team's friendship with Yinu, it never feels out of place. The Sayu Team did attempt to keep the myth of Sayu being a real AI, but Yinu was much too perceptive to even fall for it. Besides, she has much more fun composing and coming up with ideas with them than talking to a hologram.

When it comes to their dynamics with other Megastars, I'd say all of them are intimidated by Eve's strong presence - though Remi really looks up to her from an artist's point of view, and Tila admires her confidence. Dodo is a fan of Neon J and practices his dance moves in secret, something that all the other members tease him for. As for Sofa, I can see him asking DJSS about his creative process. The guy runs a club with sick effects, he wants to know how DJSS does it!

All four of them also like 1010, but are in different levels of denial about it, with Dodo openly gushing about his favorite bias (it's Purl-hew, he LOVES Purl-hew) and Remi seething, screaming and crying whenever someone notices that his drawing tablet has 1010 stickers on the back. Sofa and Tila are more in the middle, being casual fans but getting flustered and a little ashamed whenever someone brings it up face to face - they promise they're not like those deranged fans!

You know, like those teens who are into things that the media has deemed cringe and whatnot, so they feel they have to be a liiittle detached and mean about their tastes to avoid being criticized.

Regarding their backgrounds, I like to think that Remi and Tila didn't meet each other face to face until it was time to sign their NSR contract, while Dodo and Sofa went to the same highschool and are childhood friends who made amateur action movies together. It just clicks very nicely to me!

Aspects of the Sayu Team bleed into Sayu and viceversa.

It's small details, like Sayu's dominant hand perhaps being the same as Remi's, or Sayu's casual speech patterns during streams being somewhat similar to Tila's. Maybe her typical gestures are also things that Dodo is known for, and so on. All of it helps make Sayu feel more real to fans.

In turn, there are times in which the Sayu Team find themselves adding Sayu's popular catchphrases into their vocabulary entirely on accident, their wardrobes now full of clothes she would wear. I can also imagine Sofa and Remi having trouble separating their work screens from reality - you know, like when digital artists try to press ctrl+z when doing traditional art. Dodo's is the funniest by far, since he straight up has an idle animation taken from Sayu, but I'd argue that he's a very physical person and needs to be constantly moving somehow. Another contender for funniest slip up is Remi, who will just end up screaming "Pyun!" really loud when excited.

While fans only see the final product, the NSR staff can see all the love and effort that goes into Sayu just by looking at her team! Even Tatiana respects the way they've turned Sayu into their very own personal project, with that initial giddy energy that every content creator feels when starting out and seeing their work pay off.

Should Sayu ever become her own independent AI, I can see every Megastar come together to design a proper body for her.

The Sayu Team are, at the end of the day, a bunch of kids with a dream - their design is the priority, of course, but Neon J and DJSS would be the ones to tweak and work around it, doing their best to ensure proper mobility - both on land and within her streaming hub - and to add all necessary safety equipment. Neon J specifically would be the one to work on her AI, I'd say.

Yinu and Eve would ensure that the aesthetics aren't lost during the building process, finding ways of allowing Sayu to still be recognized by fans but with enough room for changes, should she require them for concerts or events.

I feel like the Sayu Team would prefer for Sayu to only have a single body, instead of endless ones to be replaced like 1010, and they would keep a back-up of her AI in a little pendrive (a nod to Monika from DDLC!). It just makes her feel more real!

And with Sayu being an actual, sentient AI working as a Megastar, I imagine this would pave the way for all the other robots who are fully sentient in Vinyl City to be acknowledged by everyone. So really, it's a win-win!

Do you think Tommy would've been less dominant as gang boss had Grace stayed alive? Do you think he still would've used sex with women or threats of sex to advance his business if she was alive? How would he go about it instead?

The s4 toss scene is one of the masterpieces in this show. Its one of those scenes which makes the show memorable and a treat to watch as a first timer. I really thought Tommy was cornered there but in classic Tommy way he turns the tables on Aberama.

I sincerely believe Tommy had NO intention of sleeping with his daughter. Firstly, he researches his opponents thoroughly. He would have researched Aberama even before he meets him and would have known he is not the kind of man who would pimp his daughters!! Secondly, even if Aberama would have gone ahead with the toss and lost, Tommy is not the kind of man who would force himself on a petite young girl just to get back at her father. Tommy has only slept with women who were willing to, even Jessie who he wanted to use, willingly slept with him.

Coming back to your actual question, yes he would have continued to be dominant and ruthless as a gang leader while married to Grace. The reason is he is very good at compartmentalising. Tommy as a husband to Grace and father to their children (yes children, in my head they have 3 children- 2 boys and a girl) is a different man but Tommy as a badass gangster is merciless. But it would take a toll on him. I think being married to Grace gave him hope that there is more to life than just violence and bullying so gradually he would have moved away from the gangster life.

One thing is sure, with Grace, his ruthlessness would have limitations. He would never use sex with other women for any business or political advantage. We have seen this before, Grace came above his business. He chose Grace over May. Look at the way he behaves with Tatiana when Grace was alive. Infact I believe that a major reason for killing her off is Sk wanted writing freedom so he could advance tommy’s plot through sex. It’s difficult to think how else he would have tackled russians (without sex with tatiana) or even become a politician (without sex with jessie), the circumstances we know were written by SK such that sleeping with those women was the only way.

However knowing tommy and his dedication for Grace, sex with other women is a complete no. Sex is mechanical for tommy with other women, there are no emotions attached, just end goal. But Grace is different, he wants to spend the rest of his life with her. His only motivation to live was her so he wouldn’t give up that for anything in the world.

"Of course yet another day of disappointment." Purl-Hew complained, looking up at the ceiling. "I can't even take my drop dead gorgeous girlfriend to spoil her with gifts-"

"Purl would you relax?" You cut him off, pulling on his uniform.

"I wouldn't want you to malfunction from the heavy rain. I'm just happy spending time with you Purly." You teased, smiling at him.

You see him get a tad flustered from the nickname cause his blue cheeks started fluctuating, which made you giggle.

Purl-Hew and you were originally planning to go shopping for the first day of your guys week off, but the rain got in the way of that. Tatiana suggested that each of the NSR artist's should take this time off to unwind and relax. Of course it was only one at a time, so Eve was next on the list. You honestly found it shocking yet admirable that Tatiana was this willing to do this for the other NSR artists, including herself. It is well-known that if someone takes a break they feel refreshed and come up with new ideas.

You weren't an NSR artist, but you were a writer and understood this logic of how people work. Even if 1010 weren't human, they deserved a break too. With their newly installed personality upgrade after all, they all seemed to be happy and having a good time with the first day of their time off. But unfortunately for you and Purl-Hew, It started heavy pouring right as you two were about to head out the mansion gate, and you were getting sick of Purl-Hew complaining and being over dramatic.

You sighed, lifting yourself up to look at him. Purl-Hew's arm was originally around your shoulder until you sat up. His hand moved to your lower back, rubbing it up and down slowly. He looked up at you, feeling a smirk pull at his lips, wondering what you were planning to do. You gave him a blank stare, thinking of an idea on how to cheer up a robot like Purl-Hew. It was going to be hard considering he's mostly stoic and monotone.

After a moment, you lean down to kiss one of his blue cheeks. You feel Purl-Hew lean against your lips as you did so, making you smile against his cheek. You start feeling the heat of it rise the moment your lips landed on his cheek, so you knew this was working. As you pulled away, you only leaned down to kiss him again, and again. You move yourself onto of him now as you covered him in more affection, now kissing down his neck.

"Y-Y/N..." Purl-Hew stuttered out in a whisper, moving a hand into your hair and the other around your waist.

You hummed against his neck, surprised to hear him stutter. It was rare, but it must have been one of those days and you were going to take advantage of all of it. You giggled feeling Purl-Hew hide his face in your neck, god he was adorable when he can be. Your heart almost couldn't take all this cuteness so you stopped, hearing a sigh from Purl-Hew. He seemed to be a tad upset that you stopped cause his expression make you laugh as you got off him, sticking your tongue out at him playful.

"Feeling better now blueberry?" You asked, teasing him as you grabbed his his hand to pull him towards the very long window seat.

All Purl-Hew did was groan as he saw you sit down, patting the seat beside you for him to sit down. Before you even noticed, Purl-Hew basically grabbed you to hold you against his chest as he laid across the window seat. You could hear the fans in his body and heart kick up in speed out of no where, making you smirk. Oh boy was he flustered, quite flustered. You were surprised he even got this flustered from the little affection you gave him. How adorable.

You lift your head to look at him to see his glasses were almost falling off his face, but you held back from laughing out loud, and Purl-Hew could see that. Purl-Hew rolled his eyes as he grabbed his glasses and folded them before putting them aside on the window seal. His eyes seem to brighten as he stared you down, biting your lip from his now intense gaze. You always thought his eyes were so beautiful, like sapphires glistening against the light. Even in private view he didn't take his glasses off often, but now was one of those times he did. Purl-Hew seemed to notice you were admiring his eyes, making his chuckle from your stunned gaze. This moment was extremely wholesome, yet in a teasing way for the two of you, and Purl-Hew seemed to catch the message from earlier, now moving his lips or your neck.

He held you close as he left light kisses on your neck, making you giggle. Heading the soft sound of the rain with your lover holding you in his arms was a moment that felt extremely more special for you, especially now that you two were alone. Purl-Hew felt the same, now getting revenge from what you did to him earlier as he nibbled the sensitive part of your neck, making you gasp.

"P-Purl!"

Purl hummed against your neck as his movements on your neck got slower as the time went on. You began to think his battery was running now, now pushing him off you lightly. His eyes, and all the lights on his body were now on low battery mode. His cheeks were still fluctuating from being flustered with a sly smile on his face too. God he was hot yet so damn cute in your eyes and you couldn't help but let your body guide you along.

It was too late to stop yourself before you got fully comfortable on Purl-Hew's lap, leaning down to kiss his neck again, this time leaving love bites behind each kiss. Purl-Hew's eyes fluttered closed, whining in pleasure as he held you close, smelling the perfume on you. You moved a hand on the side of his neck, rubbing his silicone skin softly with your thumb.

Your hand that was on the side of his neck moved to his cheek for a moment, then the back of his hair. His fluffy ass hair. You wondered how Neon J managed to make 1010's hair feel so velvety, but you were going to ponder on that thought after you embarrassed the ever living shit out of your adorable blueberry. You heard him gasp a little the moment your hand lingered into his hair, feeling him arch his back as his body rubbed against yours.

You held back a light moan, closing your eyes. You decided to stop your teasing after that, pulling your face away from his neck and your hand from his hair to get off his lap. Purl-Hew's expression was of course sheepish, but a tad lustful. He didn't seem to want to push this further, and neither did you, but the automated heavy breathing you heard from him said otherwise. With the left over battery Purl-Hew had left, he picked you up before setting you down on the bed, grabbing the cord to plug himself in, but you stop him before he could.

"What...?" Purl-Hew asked, already feeling his eyes getting droopy as he looked at you.

Your hand lingered along his to the cord as a way for asking for permission.

"May I?" You ask him, seeing if he trusted you enough to do as something as personal as this.

Purl-Hew's automated yawn came into play, then he nodded, leaning his neck to the side so you could open the hatch to the charging port as he let you have the cord.

"It's about time I let you do this." Purl-Hew explained, looking the other away.

His blush was coming back despite his low battery. He pointed towards his neck. "Go ahead, but be gentle please."

Your eyes sparkled at the request before you yawned yourself. You both chuckle before you tap the panel, seeing it slide to the side. You hesitate before going any further, looking up at Purl-Hew for permission one more time. You could already see him drifting off, but he showed no signs of stopping you or any aggression.

You put a hand on his chest before plugging him in, hearing a small giggle from Purl-Hew. You smirk, finding his giggle adorable as you laid down, getting comfortable. Purl-Hew got comfortable himself, snuggling himself against you with a cute smile on his face. Even though he was mostly known for being stoic, monotone, and an ass, he can't help but feel happy around you. He hated it, but at the same time he felt special that he had someone like you in his life that loved him just as much.

"Goodnight..."

You hear Purl-Hew mumble under his breath before falling right asleep, the lights on his body now completely shutting off. You nuzzle your nose against his neck, smiling against it. You know he wouldn't hear what you were going to say, but you wanted to anyway.

"Goodnight berryboy. I love you."

Don't get me wrong, I love the various interpretations of Medea, Steinbeck's Cathy, Ken Kesey's Nurse Ratched and even characters like Zola's Thérèse as much as the next Tumblrlina, but there's something about Gillian Flynn's Amma ("Sharp Objects"), Shirley Jackson's Merricat, Angela Carter's take on Lizzie Borden ("The Fall River Axe Murders") and Atwood's spin on evil (or "evil") ladies that just hits different.

I think that having Grace around the Lightwood house would have been maybe not great for the Lightwoods after ChoG (I assume you mean ChoG). They were all grieving Barbara and probably unequipped to take someone new in during such a hard time for their family.

Also Grace necessarily comes with a lot of difficulty for anyone associated with James. They all see how bad the relationship is even before they know about the bracelet, and she would have been an especially awkward person for Thomas to regularly be around, especially while grieving.

1). I LOVE the headcanon that Purl makes weird or animalistic noises so much, and I can totally see May also doing that! May doesn't mind purring for her partners, Purl does and if pushed they will just leave for the night all pouty.

2). You know what? I'm pretty sure NO ONE in Tatiana's family or friend group would have a curling iron. So that literally means that Tatiana either went to a mall, hair salon, or some random person with a hair iron and licked it lol!

Also, I see her as not being hurt, so that isn't the "didn't go well part." What was though was either Joust or Quida thinking it was not hot because of Tatiana's lack of reaction and so one of them licked it, which is when things went down hill and chaos ensues!

3). Honestly, I don't see DJSS as liking country music until they hear West and Purl listening to depressing country music and he fell in love with it. Before all he heard was like the stereotypical "bad" country music that a lot of people seem to hate, so hearing a "good" country song was something else for them.

I also don't know if this counts as "depressing country" music, but I can see them all really liking Poor Man's Poison (which is Folk genre but kinda close to Country, maybe. Let me know if I'm wrong lol). I love that band so much and some of their songs are on the darker side! Purl would love "Stronger than the Whiskey" while DJSS I can see liking maybe "Pressure Cracks" or "Black Sheep" and West would really love "Georgia Law Man" and " Hell's Coming With Me."

No, but he totally would! I can see Kliff having all the major songs, vinyls, CDs, cassettes, and whatever else of all the most popular rock bands of each year/decade. Then he'd have smaller artists that he liked and then just a HUGE digital collection of all kinds of rock music too! This guy lives, laughs, loves rock!

5). I can honestly just see her punching a guy touching her hair. She knows not to bite people unless really in danger or something because she could potentially kill someone with her venom.

That being said, she WOULD bite someone to protect Papa when they were younger. It only happened once, but that kid (and other kids) never bothers Rubato after that incident ever again. It finally put a stop to all the bullying he was going through at the time, since none of the other adults would ever stop it.

And again, thankfully he got better. She doesn't like to tell that story, and Papa knows this, so it never gets told to people around her. Though I'm sure her mom would let it slip one day during a visit with Yinu probably lol.

6). Sofa, Sayu, Haym, and Yua all have weekly cat cafe meetings. Many fans await the many photos of foam cat coffee or cute deserts that the 4 put out after the outing lol.

7). The only one who would be allowed would be Eloni and that's only because he would have helped Zimelu build them lol! Other than that they are never touched and put inside a beautiful display case (I know nothing about Gundam other than it is a mecha anime lol)

8). I honestly don't see Neon making advertisements without 1010 as I see him and 1010 as starting NSR together and not like Neon started as some guard or something and then made 1010. So 1010 would definitely already know all the advertisements Neon would have made.

However! I can see them looking back to the first ever 1010 advertisements and laughing at how bad they were for the time. Neon is obviously embarrassed at how messy and awful they are, but is happy with how much he has improved.

If anything, I can see 1010 doing embarrassing advertisements at first before they finally told Neon "We don't want to do this commercial" or whatever. Now 1010 and Neon make sure they communicate if they want to do a ad, collab, promotion, etc.

Hi!! Omg I love these questions! First I would definitely spend time with my siblings because they are the Romanovs and I (me) love them! I would also give Anastasia a big talking to for hitting me (Tatiana) in the head with a snow covered rock. I would also play dress up with the old clothing because people don’t wear that stuff anymore and if I was Tatiana I would want to dress myself all up. I might also play some tennis because I heard that Tatiana was very good. Also I would spend lots of time in nature, picking flowers and hiking. Also since the tercentenary is coming up I would help Mama (Alexandra) with the planning and make sure she is okay. I would also take advantage of my new art abilities and do maybe a self portrait or a portrait of my family. Also I would try not to get typhoid fever lol (Tatiana got it in 1913)

Blake: Blake doesn’t believe in true love at all. They view the whole thing as something to be avoided, a weakness. A weaker partner looking for the advantages a strong individual can give.

If you choose to romance them, it will take some time to make them see that a relationship can be a strength. When fully romanced, Blake will be loyal and steady. Someone to go to for advice, a partner that will back you in public and question your decision behind closed doors. Follow you to the grave kind of partner.

Elijah/Eliana: Love isn’t something they think is a possibility for them. They’ve seen their parent’s relationship, and they know it’s something that has to be worked at. Their current circumstances have them believing that a relationship isn’t something they will ever have the time for.

They don’t believe in love at first sight. Instead, it’s between two people who respect each other, and can work together to make something good. A relationship between you two will be passionate, and occasionally tempestuous, considering your contrasting beliefs.

Samantha/Samuel: Love at first sight is something they long for. They read romance novels, watch romantic movies, make dreamy eyes at elderly couples. It’s not something they think can ever happen to them.

A relationship with Sammy is going to start as clandestine. But it will be intense, a real meeting of hearts. There are no boundaries, no limits. They will support you, whether you are a hero or a tyrant. As long as you allow them to love you, they will worship you until the end.

Theodore/Tatiana: They believe in love. But it terrifies them. They’ve seen the effects of lost love, seen how it can change a person, and that’s the one emotion they refuse to feel.

They believe in love at first sight, and it’s something they avoid at all costs.

Review: Hostile Array’s post-hardcore anthem ‘Wounds’ channels a heavy sound and message, a fitting intro for their new EP ‘Trauma’

Looking to connect with listeners as they bear nothing but open-hearted lyricism is the Mayland post-hardcore outfit Hostile Array, a storming five-piece unafraid to open up with their own individual mental health struggles. As the core of their new 5-track EP ‘Trauma’, Hostile Array delve into some of their most personal struggles while fusing together an array of differing genres for an experience quite unlike anything you’ve heard before. Their anthemic leaning release ‘Wounds’ truly does it all though, introducing you to Hostile Array with a sound that’s bombastic and loud but still bearing a message utterly sincere.

Led in by smashing, vigorous drums and a thunderous electric guitar riff, ‘Wounds’ doesn’t falter for even a second in setting the scene to be one of high-energy and ferocious angst that seeps through in every harsh instrumental tone. Cut off by the verses’ introduction though, things settle for a more timid undisturbed surface of noise captured in steady drum beats, deep bass and bright electric guitar peeking in the undertones. This softer style feels a little intimate whilst the pounding drums and slowly rising guitar still allow for the song to carry a sense of building frustrations, and their vocalist’s sulky tone just adds another layer of the calm before the storm. As the chorus finally delivers the impact you’ve been waiting for, ‘Wounds’ hits at full-force with every instrument at the height of both volume and driving strength as their vocalist’s more hoarse performance adds an edge of gritty resentment to the concoction. Offering not just a striking sound but a whole journey fused within its sound, ‘Wounds’ interlinks its’ emotions heavily in how its sound evolves, taking hold of its narrative and making it feel truly living and breathing in the three minute development of the track.

‘Wounds’ isn’t just forceful in its sound though, offering a narrative that’ll linger with you just as much as their addictive, hard-hitting sound. As Hostile Array piece together a narrative infused by the experience of a toxic friend or partner, along with recurrent flashbacks to the past that seem to restrict them in their recovery, ‘Wounds’ seems to centre around a difficulty in moving forward: ‘I tried to bury the past but it’s eating me alive.’ The most striking line of the release surely falls in the chorus hook, asking ‘if time heals wounds, then why are mine still bleeding?’ and finding no answers, with Hostile Array clearly burdened by what they’ve been through and still carrying its weight despite the passing of time. This is subtle but profoundly impactful, acknowledging that we’re often expected to recover through our hardships alone, when in reality many need the support of therapy and external guidance to heal from their traumatic experiences. Surrounded by those who have a negative impact on their progression, lines like ‘I’m tired of sifting through your lies, they’re slowly killing me, distorting everything I know and everything I say’ also share the devastating pull a toxic relationship can have within your life. Limiting your own growth and belittling, gaslighting and dragging you down, it can be hard to walk away from someone who has taken advantage, but Hostile Array are here to promote pulling yourself out of the darkness when no one else is there to do it like you deserve. Absolutely scattered with varying meanings and interpretations, ‘Wounds’ is a song sure to comfort many in their own personal struggles, allowing for such deep connections to be made and a sense of healing to be found within its more open-ended lyricism.

Oh, they did a recasting for Vasily who now has dark hair, unlike his parents. Alina dislikes Vasily but offers to lead the Grisha since the Lanstovs want a Second Army commander loyal to them and she is Nikolai’s fiancée. Mal is against this as making her General will put an even bigger target on her back but Alina wants to protect the Grisha. Vasily manages to learn about Malina since they were having a moment in a hallway rather than a room. Genya still looks beautiful to me. Her and Kirigan’s scars do not make them ugly. Frankly I’m more worried about Baghra’s finger and Genya’s right eye. Seriously Kirigan, you could have chosen a lighter punishment for your mother! Imprisonment was enough! Baghra seems to care about Genya now. Aleksander calls out Baghra for protesting his plans because she made him this way. Baghra finally gives up on him. I have my doubts about Vladim. It looks like he wants Baghra’s power. And the bone crushing scene was horrifying. David warns Alina and she imprisons him after Nadia informs her that Kirigan keeps his close. Honestly, if that was obvious, he would make a horrible choice for spy. David refuses to teach Alina merzost but warns her about the tether. Nina knows Pekka cannot free Matthias and warns Kaz. Kaz has released a fake firepox that will be blamed on Pekka and threatens his son Alby. Wow, we actually got the Pekka showdown in Crooked Kingdom without the Jurda yet…

Pekka loses the respect of his men

Mal wants to find the special blade that might kill nichevo’ya. I’m not gonna say the name cos then I have to repeat it and it’s long. Anyway, Tolya and Zoya will go to the Crows to hire them for the job. Unless the blade was made with merzost, it will be useless. Vasily did his research and has Mal arrested for desertion. Dude, if you’re going to seduce Alina, don’t arrest her boyfriend! He is an idiot. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Jesper and Wylan kiss! 😄 now where are Ivan and Fedyor? Kaz kicks Inej out of the Crows after she made him worry with a detour. She is a free woman. Seriously, Nikolai giving Alina her ring has more chemistry than Malina. Alina starts getting worried about Mal’s absence, but no one is as concerned as she is. Oh, the siege and storm ending is here too. Only it’s at an engagement party rather than Nikolai’s birthday. And it’s still Vasily’s fault. Honestly, if he actually becomes king, Fjerda will crush him. I doubt even Kirigan could have reined him in if he were still General. Vasily dies and I’m not sure if the king still lives. Kirigan lures Alina away with an illusion so she will be away from the fighting and her head does some weird glowy thing. To Adrik, she must look unstable. While the invasion happens, Baghra takes advantage and frees herself and Genya, who heals her missing finger. (Seriously Kirigan, fixing her finger would have been better than figs!) Genya sees her reflection and destroys the Alkemi’s workstation in a fit of rage. You know the Darkling confrontation at the end, his S&S speech would work if Mal had been frightened of Alina’s power. But here it seems out of place. And considering book Alina had grown used to her imaginary Darkling, the offer to rule suited the book better than the show. It looks lika Nadia and Adrik are the only members of the Second Army who survived the engagement party. I don’t count Tamar and Alina since Tamar isn’t loyal to the second army, she’s loyal to Alina, and Alina wants to retire once the Fold is gone.

This certainly was a combo of endings from Crooked Kingdom and Siege and Storm. Looks like we get the Ruin and Rising arc next. This was too crammed, considering Alina’s relationship with the Darkling. His speech at the end is so out of place.

Well I can say this for Tatiana, she does love Nikolai, I think. I actually prefer book Baghra. I have not forgotten that Baghra only gave partial truths to Alina when Anastas was to blame for the Fold, and that she tried to kill Mal. The fact that Baghra gives up on her son now makes me unhappy. If you’re responsible for how he came to be, you don’t give up, you try to save him. Poor Tolya. None of his friends like poetry Pekka is a villain for sure but he does love his son and while I think it is good he knows his son is alive, I find that having Alby witness his arrest is too cruel.

Ooh, is David back under Kirigan’s power now?
