I am so in love that Collector lacks empathy! It doesn't make him evil!
He is just too far away from anyone else. He doesn't grow up as quickly as everyone else, doesn't get hurt that easily, his normal playing can uproot so many lives at best.
He doesn't get mortality of others. There is no shared experience for Collector to use. He could have use similar emotional background, but being feared/worshipped once again puts a distance between them. They are a complete different beings and so with low empathy and no proper teaching how to behave around the little creatures, Collector has practically no way to grasp how much different they are.
He has no care about it. He doesn’t think about it, he immediately applies his own norms and doesn’t see that this is not how it works for others.
Their pain is not like his, where he will stand up and brush away the dust, they might not stand up at all. Not that he will notice it, already moving on to the next game. Just like children pretend-die, he might see it just like that. With a stray thought ‘they will get up’ he is already gone. And what if they don’t get up, what then? Was he ever face to face with it? Was he ever forced to acknowledge that they will never get up?
His violence is ignorant, his cruelty is childish.
He is in great need of someone explaining things to him. Make him care about following the rules that others make.
It’s not like his goal is to hurt people and bring chaos. He wants to play, he wants friends. Friends that will not lie or use him, geniune ones, that’s a good motivator to actually start caring about small creatures needs.

Always Favors You
Another Sibling Danny and Jason idea!!
"Are you Jason Peter Todd?!" demanded a deep and commanding tone from the strange glowing being in front of them.
All the Bats stiffened and tensed, no doubt gearing up for a fight against the being that somehow knew Red Hood's full name.
Jason, Red Hood, decided to put on a brave front despite no doubt cursing in his head and wondering how the heck did this thing know his full freaking name.
"Whose asking." he snarled out, his hands twitching for his gun when the huge glowing knight with purple flames coming out of his helmet and cape, who was riding on a nightmare looking horse while they all had been in the cave going over tonight's patrol.
The Knight didn't seemed bothered by his response nor did he even seem to care or flinch when Batman made his own demand on 'Why was he there and who was he' or when Damian unsheathed his sword and pointed it towards him. Instead the strange glowing Knight reached to it side and pulled out... A glowing scroll? Huh. (Also he completely unnerved everyone in the room when the Knight didn't even react when Batman had tossed a Baterang when he reached for his side)
The Knight opened the scroll and spoke clearly with purpose.
"Jason Peter Todd,
You are hereby invited as a special guest of honor to the crowning of our future King of the Infinite Realms.
Daniel Phantom, once Daniel Jackson Fenton, and once Daniel Austen Todd.
Prince of the Infinite Realms, the Keeper of Balance, The Peacekeeping Halfa, the Defeater of the Tyrant King Pariah Dark, The Great One, Youngest of the Ancients, Ancient of Space, The Bridge between Life and Death.
You, the half-brother of our King, have been given the highest of honors for your past actions and will be given housing and food in the Realms and Phantom's Keep, for the week long event. Personal servants and attendants will be at your disposable and a seamstress will be on hand to tailor make your attire for the Coronation.
Signed: Clockwork. Ancient of Time. Watcher of the Infinite Timeline. Kronos. Mentor and Adviser.
PS: I shall have Fright Knight ("Me" the Knight bluntly said for a second) leave this scroll along with a personal one for you from Daniel to read over and once you make up your mind sign the bottom of the scroll.
I do hope in time you will pick the right choice Jason Todd, we of the Infinite Realms would like to reward you for your actions. After all, if you hadn't gotten young Daniel away from your father that night all those years ago, we would never had gained our Prince nor be free from our once Tyrant King.
Ah, one more thing.
The Infinite Realms will always favor you Jason."
Jason felt like he couldn't breath as Fright Knight? Rolled up the scroll, pulled a letter from his side, and held out the two items for him to take.

It is a beautiful day, and you are a horrible research transport vessel. Things are progressing as normal (i.e. it's boring) when a SecUnit pings you, lies right to your metaphorical face, and then tries to bribe you with human media to give it a ride. This is as unexpected as it is unprecedented, and the sheer nerve of it is really to be admired. There's no protocol to this, so what should you do?
Now, this is against a bunch of rules, and could be dangerous if you weren't so impressive and incredible, and you're technically an employee (and can probably rewrite the Univeristy charter at will (until someone notices and puts it back)) so those rules are for other entities.
So, what you should do is allow the rogue SecUnit with a broken governor module and a sketchy story aboard. If you check the files it dumps and find zero (0) malware (which is confusing), and it doesn't even try to trash the place or lay in wait to ambush a crew member, then you've got a good candidate!
Next, what you're going to want to do is absolutely nothing. Just watch it patrol your halls until it's time to leave. Continue staring at it while you're undergoing embarkment procedures. Maybe analyze it a little (you've got plenty of processing power to spare) when it finally sits down and starts watching media. Allow it to settle in and get comfortable while you stare at it and get further and further from port.
Now that you two are alone (intimacy is key!) and you've determined that watching media is all the SecUnit is going to do, it's time to make contact! Make sure to open by telling it it's only survived due to dumb luck, and letting it know you could melt its brain into putty. This starter will work to develop conversation naturally and smoothly, just like you've seen the humans do, and it will be smooth sailing from there!
This has been Perihelion's guide to making friends/finding life partners/fuck off Holism I had to work hard for this find your own

Spiderwebs Alternate Ending AU (part 1)

⚠️ Spoilers for Chapter 25

Basically, Heather dies in this AU
content: stabbing, major character death
· • —– ٠ ✤ ٠ —– • ·
He grabbed her wrist, with a strength that surprised both of them, and wrenched it down. He shoved his full weight into her, caught her off guard. They both went sprawling on the ground. The scalpel clattered across the floor, a few inches away.
He knew that he couldn’t win against her with physical strength. Heather was caught off her guard, distracted, so he stepped backwards far enough to reach the fallen scalpel. He picked it up without taking his eyes off her. It was lightweight, surprisingly easy to handle.
She was trying to sit up. Her hair fell over her eyes, and she didn’t see him or what he was doing. Jackie moved closer.
A sick, sweet thrill rose in him. Her gaze met his.
“You wouldn’t,” she said.
He stabbed the scalpel into her chest. It pierced her heart—he knew exactly where to aim, knowing where his own heart was beating, having seen the mass of its muscle when she cut him open. It slid between her ribs like silk. There was no blood until he pulled it out, and even then, only small beads of it blotted her clothes. A keening gasp escaped her throat. She pushed his other hand away, her fingers intertwined with his, but it was a weak resistance. He plunged the blade in, then out again, then back in, until he lost count.
She took in a shuddering breath, laughing as she let it out.
“It’s not funny,” he said. He could see the way her eyes weren’t focused on him anymore. He could feel the way her chest fell without rising again. A cold, unmoving fallow.
“I know…” The front of her sweater was becoming warm and wet. She was leaning on him. “I know. It’s only fair.”
“It’s not fair. You’ve never been fair in your life. You’re the worst person I’ve ever met.”
“You little cockroach.” Her voice dulled to a whisper. “I know. It’s not your fault.”
“Heather?”
He waited for her to continue speaking. But she would not speak; not now, not ever again.
Her body was slack over him. He could feel her heart spilling onto his chest. The blood was drying and becoming sticky, as the beating life inside her became slower, and slower, arduous and thick.
Then it finally stopped.
Her eyes were still open. He couldn’t bring himself to close them.
Dead bodies really were so heavy. It was impossible to push her off him, so he resorted to crawling out from under her. Her hand had a vice of a grip on his, so he had to struggle to tear himself away. She hit the concrete as he twisted upright and staggered to his feet.
With the scalpel still clutched in his fist, dripping blood, he walked up the stairs towards the door. He opened it and walked out into the hallway.
Sunlight spilled in from the windows. It was much easier to breathe up here, without the smell of death. It was all familiar and clean. The house was untouched, as if she had only gone away. Her books were still out on the table. Her journals, her notes, an empty plate, a blanket tossed aside, her coat forgotten on the sofa. He made his way towards the front door.
He stopped before he even touched the handle. Still, he gave the door a try, and he was proved correct. It was locked, just like the last time he came here. He didn’t know the passcode. The only person who did was Heather, and Heather…
He came back into the living room. The windows were locked, too. Maybe there’s an open one upstairs. He had not searched any of those rooms yet. It was possible.
Jackie ascended the stairs. There was a hallway, and a few doors. He picked one at random and turned the handle.
Locked. She had always been so thorough. So careful. He tried the door next to it.
It was her bedroom. He remembered the first time he was here, the abruptness of his new situation, being locked in that closet. She had intended to kill him. And where did that get her? All her cruel ambitions had been for nothing. She had ruined his life for no good reason. She had gone out so quietly, so gently he didn’t quite believe it, her eyes becoming dark like wavering candles, disrupted like broken reflections on water. It wasn’t fair. She hadn’t even apologized.
In any case, there was a window at the far wall, but it was locked too. It was a nice day, otherwise. The sun was bright, the sky clear. The bed had been made up—of course it had—and there was a cup of water on her bedside table. The single-seater sofa was still there, so he collapsed onto it while he thought of what to do.
The windows are locked. The doors are locked. She has to keep her keys somewhere in the house. He didn’t know where, though, and it wasn’t exactly a small place. And she had hidden the landline somewhere he would never know. Even in death, she found a way to spite him.
He could not go anywhere until he found the keys. And what if she was carrying them? The body would start to rot. It would smell. He didn’t want to check until it was absolutely necessary. He didn’t want to be reminded of her motionless figure on the floor.
A part of him wasn’t ready to leave her, anyway. It was comforting to know that she was still there. It was comforting to know she was at peace. She had always been restless; maybe it was quiet for her now. The pantry was full. There was food and water. It couldn’t be long until someone noticed her absence. The sun was shining and the sky was beautiful outside. He could wait. He had all the time in the world.
