But Jumping Fences Never Leads To Trouble!
I’m the night auditor at a hotel with a major homeless problem. Every night, it’s something or someone new.
It’s around 11:45 and I’m forty-five minutes into my shift. This man walks in, goes straight to the TV in the lobby, and feels around for the button to turn it on.
Man: “Can I have the remote?”
Me: “Do you have a room here?”
Man: “Yes.”
Honestly, I don’t feel like being wrong in a confrontation if the man is, in fact, a guest, so I don’t question it.
Once he falls asleep, though, that’s where I draw the line. That’s it. I yell, ‘Sir,” at least ten times and flicker the lights on and off. Nothing.
So, I get up, go upstairs, get a stray luggage cart that I know makes a ton of noise, and come back to “put it up”. The squeaky mess of a cart wakes him up as I pass him, and he looks at me like I’m the villain in his story — the evil woman that won’t let him sleep on the couch in her place of business.
Me: “Sir, you can’t sleep here. You need to go up to your room or you need to leave.”
He gets up, huffs, and walks right out the door. I watch him go off in an odd direction, not out of the parking lot at all. He goes right around the building to the pool and HOPS THE FENCE.
I go right out to the glass door and stand there with my arms crossed until he notices me. He finds my presence funny. I don’t. I unlock the door with my master key.
Me: “If you have to jump the fence, you probably shouldn’t be here.”
He feigns insanity and confusion. He’s disoriented now, his eyes are squinting, and I’m no longer funny.
Man: “I was just charging my phone.”
Me: “No, you’re not. You’re out by the pool, and there isn’t a phone. You were asked to leave and you’re sneaking around.”
He sucks his teeth; now I’m just annoying to him.
Man: “Well, can I come through that door, then?”
Me: “No. I kicked you out of the hotel. You can wait right there until the police come.”
He found a way in; he can find a way out if he wants to. Then, I close the door and walk away, already dialing the non-emergency line.
He knocks on the door.
Man: “You don’t have to call the police for this! This is doing too much!”
Maybe it was, but at that point, I had to make a stand and set an example.
The cops came, and they eventually found him and served him a trespassing notice, and I got a happy, spiteful ending.
Imagine being such a POS you brag about siccing the cops on a homeless man for trying to find someplace to sleep. The descriptions of OP as not funny, annoying, spiteful, and evil fit her to a T.

one of the reasons it's really hard for a lot of intersex people when intersex topics are on the news cycle is because the public's reaction reveals how little anyone knows or cares about intersex people, including people who call themselves our allies. almost every time intersex topics are trending, the discourse surrounding them is filled with misinformation. people who only learned today what the word intersex means jump into conversations and act like an authority. endosex/dyadic/perisex people get tripped up over things that are basically intersex 101, with tons of endosex people incorrectly arguing about the definition of intersex, who "counts," DSD terminology, and so much more. i've seen multiple endosex people say today that they've been "warning intersex people" and that we should have known that transphobia would catch up with us eventually, which is an absolutely absurd thing to say given the fact that consistently over the past ten years, it has often been intersex people sounding the alarm on sex-testing policies and also the fact that many, many intersex people are also trans, and already are facing the impacts of transphobia. there is an absolute failure from the general public to take intersex identity seriously; people seem not even able to fathom that intersex people have a community, history, and our own political resources. instead, endosex people somehow seem to think they're helping by bringing up half-remembered information from their high school biology class which usually isn't even relevant at all.
and this frustrates me so fucking much. not because i want to deny the impacts of transphobic oppression--i'm a trans intersex person, trust me when i say i am intimately aware of transphobia. this frustrates me because there is no way we can achieve collective liberation if our "allies" fail to even engage with basic intersex topics and are seemingly unaware of the many forms of intersex oppression that we are already facing every fucking day. if you are not aware of compulsory dyadism, if you are not aware of interphobia, if you are not aware of the many different ways that intersex people are directly and often violently targeted--how the fuck do you think we're going to dismantle all of these systems of oppression?
if you were truly an intersex ally, you would already KNOW that this is not new, and would not be surprised--interphobia in sports has been going on for decades. you would know that we do have a community, an identity, a history--you would have already read/listened/watched to intersex resources that give you the background information you need for allyship. you would know that although there is a really distinct lack of resources and political education, that intersex people ARE developing a political understanding of ourselves and our oppression--Cripping Intersex by Celeste Orr and their framework of compulsory dyadism is one example of how we're theorizing our oppression. It's absolutely fucking wild to me how few people I've seen actually use words like "interphobia" "intersexism" "compulsory dyadism" or "intersex oppression"--endosex people are seemingly incapable of recognizing that there is already an entrenched system of oppression towards intersex people that violently reshapes our bodies, restricts our autonomy, and attempts to eradicate intersex through a variety of medical and legal means.
you cannot treat intersex people like an afterthought. not just because we're meaningful parts of your community and deserving of solidarity, but also because intersex oppression impacts everyone!!! especially trans community--trans people will not be free until intersex people are free, so much of transphobia is shaped by compulsory dyadism, the mythical sex binary, all these ideas of enforced "biological sex" that are just as fake as the gender binary.
it makes me absolutely fucking livid every time this shit happens because it becomes so abundantly clear to me how little the average endosex person knows about intersex issues and also how little the average endosex person cares about changing that. i don't know what to say to get you to care, to get you to change that, but we fucking need it to happen and i, personally, am tired of constantly being grateful when i meet an endosex person who knows the bare minimum. i think we have a right to expect better and to demand that if you're going to call yourself our ally, you actually fucking listen to us when we tell you what that means.
okay for endosex people to reblog.

Why are you talking about the discrimination you face when there's LITERALLY a completely different minority suffering worse than you?? God, you make me sick. You don't even consider other people when you post, huh? Why can't you people just shut up and listen for once? Maybe you'll stop being discriminated against if you shut your mouth. As someone raised by atheists and only exposed to Christianity through stuff like Veggietales, to this day I still can’t intellectually wrap my mind about a genuine belief in religion, as in actually believing any of that shit actually happened. Like. Literally all of the major events described in almost every religion is stuff that factually cannot have happened if you understand almost any science or even just the fact that nothing like that ever has any evidence it can happen now. And people just. Politely ignore that fact? Like I understand that to a lot of people religion is about community and rituals and not so much the actual texts, but like. The fact that magic isn’t real is entirely undeniable. Most everything in the holy texts of most major religions is stuff that we know from how science works doesn’t exist and can’t have happened. And that for some reason doesn’t bother people? They just. Believe in it anyway? I can’t understand that perspective. To me, something being true is actually important, and the fact that religions say that things that aren’t real exist says that they aren’t reliable sources for basing my understanding of the world on. Again, I understand that most people don’t think about that, that religion is primarily about social cohesion and tradition and rituals and not about whether it’s literally true or not. But that perspective is just incredibly alien to me. It’s just weird, that most people can apparently just. Politely ignore that science has completely invalidated nearly everything religion says is true, and still for some reason believe in it anyway.

A little over one month ago* I reported a bug to Tumblr Support. A pretty critical one, if you ask me. Basically, on web, you can't report a blog for hate speech anymore. Someone could be spewing the most hateful, racist, homophobic shit you've heard in you're life, and you cannot report them. If you go to report someone for hate speech, the report form autofill with their blog url. Example:
https://www.tumblr.com/staff
And... this doesn't work. Attempting to submit a report form with a blog URL results in an error. This is a pretty big issue. Not only does it make the Tumblr community more hostile, but it also means that Staff cannot do their job properly because we can't do our due diligence properly.
I reported that bug, and within 24 hours I got the typical response: An email saying they were looking into it. Guess how many times I've heard back from staff regarding that open support ticket. I'll give you a hint: It's the same number of things they've done to try and fix this critical issue:

I feel like Zelda does not recognize that her actions have consequences, which is. A very bad attitude for a leader to have, and seems to extend VERY far back in the Hyrulian royal family. You're also very right about them seeming to think that Ganondorf was too far beneath them to do any real harm. They thought they were being clever, but they failed to recognize that he can be very dangerous if he wants to be. This is entirely in a "good for her" way towards Ganondorf btw. So basically I am shaking Zelda by the shoulders and screaming "WHEN WILL YOU LEARN!!! WHEN WILL YOU LEARN THAT YOUR ACTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES!!!!"
Oh my god, right??? I mean, I'm not surprised, that kind of shit is just par for the course with royalty. They're literally born into a position of absolute power and authority, and told that they deserve it because they are fundamentally better people than literally everyone else, and all these lesser people exist only to serve them. That is the philosophical bedrock that a monarchy is built on. And in the LoZ universe it's a thousand times worse, because now we're also talking the divine right of kings (divine right of princesses in this case i guess), except it is canonically true. The literal canon says that the Hylian royal family has actually descended from a goddess, and that means they get to rule the world forever, and anyone who disagrees with them is pure evil to be crushed.
I mean, don't get me wrong aesthetically I love a good fantasy monarchy, that's just an inherent guilty pleasure of the genre. But I like them being done well. I don't want my fantasy royalty to just be the beautiful well mannered people that wear fancy clothes and sit on thrones. I like them being written as a person in a mandatory lifelong political position, and taking their duty as head of state really fucking seriously. Yeah, they're rich and powerful and live in a cool castle, but the trade off is that literally their entire life is dedicated to the betterment of the kingdom, regardless of what they actually want to do. That's the deal. You get anything you want, but you don't get to be your own person. If you don't want to do the job, then you don't get to have the privilege that comes with it. Honestly, one of the best examples I can think of off the top of my head is Riju; she's the unelected leader of the Gerudo and took the throne as a child... and took her responsibility really fucking seriously. She's been an exemplary leader in all her apperances, and she's clearly dedicated to the idea that being the head of state means serving your people above all else. She's dedicated her life to the wellbeing of the Gerudo, and that makes her an incredibly good person; she's more than earned her position and the benefits that come with it.
...And then we have Zelda, who isn't so good at this. Honestly, I'd say her main problem is just straight up entitlement; not really surprising given her environment. I mean for fucks sake, just look at how the civillians in TOTK treat her; I'm still absolutely horrified by that one sidequest where a research team misheard her instructions, thought she told them to go exploring in their underpants, and instead of refusing or even questioning the situation, they actually fucking did it. Every single one of them stripped naked, and set off to do their job in the manner the Princess had asked them to. A job that included going into monster dens. Now of course this is all silly, because naked people are funny, but if you actually think about it for five seconds, it's actually not funny at all. A group of civilians believed that their ruler ordered them to throw away their weapons, remove all their armour, strip naked, and walk into a monster den. This is outright said to be suicide. And they were actually going to fucking do it, without a single complaint or word of question. And the game's actual response to this is just "wow, it's so great to see how everyone's so devoted to our princess! this is a really heartwarming story". No game, I do not consider it heartwarming that a group of civillians were immediately willing to throw themselves to a pointless, agonizing death for no benefit other than Zelda's amusement. Not that she actually told them to do it, but the misunderstanding spiralling that far says so much about the state of Hyrule, and how much accountability Zelda is being held to. Which is to say, literally none whatsoever. Even when the fake Zelda is raising hell across the country and actively ruining lives, the only response from her apparent victims is to get worried that they haven't been showing Zelda enough devotion which is why they must have deserved this torment, so the only response is to dedicate even more of their lives to her service! Nobody questions her, nobody even gets angry or scared that she's seemingly hurt them. They just grovel at her feet.
The point I'm making here is that Zelda has spent years in an environment where literally everyone tells her that she is the most important person in the world, she deserves all the power, respect and riches, and she could never do anything wrong. That would go to anyone's head, and let's be real here... the game never even suggests that Zelda's tried to get people to take it down a few notches. She isn't worried about the mindless worship, she's perfectly okay with her country being a goddamn suicide cult. And you can see the entitlement coming across in her actions during the game - she has the four sages swear that their entire races will dedicate themselves to serving the Hylian royal family, and specifically their still-unborn descendants will take up the role to do her dirty work. She thinks it's perfectly reasonable to ask people to sell their unborn children into her service, and there's nothing ethically dubious about making demands of people who haven't been born yet, with two of them still being children when they're ordered to take up arms. And I realize it's a serious situation, but the game doesn't acknowledge this as being a morally grey action; the new sages are swearing to dedicate their lives to the glory of their god-ruler, how could anyone find that alarming?
And her treatment of LInk is particularly infuriating, because let's remember her, the last time she sees Link is immediately after he's been gloom-fucked by Ganon. His entire left arm is dead, and his beloved weapon is destroyed. She saw it happen. He absolutely could have just died right after she was yeeted back in time, because again, he was mortally wounded and in an extreme amount of danger. And even if he did live, he's just had his entire arm ripped off; after everything he's gone through, it would make perfect sense for him to finally hit a breaking point and decide he can't stand to fight anymore. My man's literally died before, and now he's lost his dominant limb, how could anyone be expected to keep going after that? But Zelda never even considers that Link might not be able or willing to fight for her. She treats it as a given that he's perfectly fine, and will do exactly what she wants even if she isn't there to order him around. It's not like he can think for himself, that would be ridiculous. Link is denied any and all agency; he can't even form his own opinions about the main plot or influence it in any way; everything was decided several thousand years ago. He's just here to do as he's told.
It just... all makes me think of that one memory in BOTW where Zelda runs away from Link, and when he catches up to do his fucking job, she greets him by angrily declaring that obviously she's the only one with a mind of her own. That was supposed to be her being way the fuck out of line, and abusing Link to deal with her own frustrations. But apparently TOTK... decided that she was right. Zelda is the only one with a mind of her own. Link's just here to follow her around and swing the sword when she tells him to.
It's just so fucking bleak, I hate this story so much. I love the gameplay, but I'm having a miserable time with the plot, every new development just makes me more frustrated and upset. I'm working on the fifth sage thing right now, and gotta say, absolutely fucking hate how Mineru refers to Link as just Zelda's Human Weapon. Like thank you furry goat lady, I realize that Zelda chose me to be her personal bootlicker, but I sure as hell didn't consent to any of this, and nobody has asked me if I'm actually willing to put my life on the line for this woman yet again.
At least BOTW fucking asked me if I was willing to risk my life to stop the Calamity.

I Speak Like This Not To Mock, But So You Understand: Shut Up
I’m working the box office at a movie theater on a busy Saturday, and it’s in the middle of a massive rush. Naturally, I’ve been dealing with a lot of people, and not all of them have been pleasant. A woman storms up to me, furious. She is foreign and is shrieking in broken English.
Customer: *Shrieking* “My seat filthy! Filthy! I demand clean service!”
Me: “I apologize, ma’am. Let me see if I can find the usher to come and check your seat.”
Customer: *Continuing to shriek at full volume* “No! You, stupid! You clean now! Or I get you fired! Clean seat now!”
I glance over to a manager and ask her to cover my register while I follow the woman.
Customer: *Growling as we walk* “Shameful service! Need clean! No clean! Should be fired!”
We eventually get to her auditorium, and she points to her seat. There are several people around staring at us. Clearly, they’re not exactly thrilled about the lady who has been freaking out. I’m confused.
Me: “Uh, ma’am… are you sure this is the right seat?”
Customer: *Bellowing* “YES!”
I lean in and take a closer look. There’s… literally nothing wrong with the seat whatsoever that I can see. It looks completely and utterly spotless.
Me: “Ma’am… this seat is clean. I’m not seeing how it’s ‘filthy’.”
Customer: “LOOK, STUPID!”
She points her finger at a very specific random spot on the seat. I literally put my face RIGHT next to her finger, only a few inches away from the fake leather that her rear end is about to be sitting on.
There is a single… teeny… tiny… minuscule… near-invisible speck of something. It’s probably just a piece of popcorn. When I say small, I mean it. This thing is a fraction of a millimeter — so small that I literally could not see it until I literally had my eye about an inch away. And it’s so small that any reasonable person would not see it, which is probably why the usher didn’t get it off.
Customer: “BAD JOB! BAD SERVICE! FILTHY, FILTHY! DO JOB NOW, STUPID! WORST CLEANING EVER SEEN! BAD!”
Annoyed that I’ve been called “stupid” three times over something that not a single rational person would even notice, let alone become violently angry about, I sigh. I stand up, look her right in the eyes, lift up my hand, and smack the seat very hard where the speck is in a sweeping motion, making sure to be as loud as I can be, while not breaking eye contact.
Me: *Bluntly* “Stupid has cleaned. Customer sit now and no complain again about fake issue. I go. Don’t follow. Buh-bye.”
Immediately, several of the people around us start chuckling and giggling while she stands there, flabbergasted. I turn and walk away.
Customer: “FIRED!”
A female customer sitting near her speaks up.
Customer #2: “Oh, shut the f*** up, b****!”
I hear more giggles and chuckles behind me.
Customer: *Obnoxiously loud and exaggerated* “Hmph!”
I didn’t even bother to turn around and see what happened.
A little while later, one of the other customers walked up to me and told me that everyone was joking about how I dealt with it. Evidently, the woman was being a huge fuss before she came and got me, and they were all deeply amused by seeing an employee who wasn’t gonna put up with her drama over a complete non-issue.
Admittedly, the fact I had just put in my two-week notice might have been a contributing factor.
@ that title: Oh sure, I bet OP speaks to ALL unreasonable, rude customers like this "not to mock but so they can understand." /sarcasm. Pretty sure they hire NAR editors by fishing through the nearest clogged toilet. That is, incidentally, also where this movie theater got OP from.

Can we just talk about how Imperium is a perfect representation of fascism and Nazism?
I can't be the only one to have noticed how Imperium is identical to a Nazi-fascist nation, it all fits together perfectly!
Tumblr media
"Fascism is an ultranationalist and authoritarian political ideology characterized by dictatorial power, repression of opposition through force and strong regimentation of society and the economy. Although fascist parties and movements present significant divergences among themselves, it is possible to point out several common characteristics, including extreme nationalism, contempt for electoral democracy and political and economic freedom, belief in a natural social hierarchy and the dominance of elites, and the desire to create a community of the people in which individual interests are subordinated to the interests of the nation. Opposed to liberalism, Marxism, socialism and anarchism, fascism is positioned on the extreme right of the traditional political spectrum."
I barely know where to start, it's all just so identical. The first thing we noticed when seeing Imperium for the first time is how it gives off the vibe of being a completely closed country, in addition to being extremely advanced in technology.
Features that match:
1) Cult of the leader: Certainly one of the most visible characteristics when thinking about Imperium. There are several posters of the Empress all over the city, the inhabitants are always trying to impress her by giving salutes, especially the "Hail to the Empress" which honestly reminds me a lot of "Hail Hitler". Everything is for the empress and to make her proud.
Tumblr media
2) Nationalism: It's all for the good of the Imperium and its citizens, no matter if you hurt dragons, humans or anything else. Nothing should and can harm the honor of the Imperium.
3) Emphasis on militarism: The light mechanism that Sora created with good intentions was transformed into a weapon of war! We always see Imperium soldiers patrolling the region, as the entire city is made for attack and has an exceptionally strong defense.
4) Media control and censorship: It's super obvious that all media is controlled by Imperium, and honestly, I think they can even create channels that pretend they don't belong to the government to say that Imperium is a "democracy".
5) Worship of tradition, xenophobia and eugenics: "We must not let Imperium mix with all these savage cultures." Honestly, in Dragons Rising this was one of the lines that stuck with me the most. At the same time the Empress said this, my mind actually confirmed that this was the same as a fascist regime. This whole issue of Imperium being a more advanced and superior culture, the people of Imperium are more intelligent, stronger, beautiful, evolved. Anything else outside is inferior and automatically a source of strangeness and must be eliminated as quickly as possible.
6) "Sacrifices are necessary for the greater good": This is more focused on Nazism itself, but the part about lying about dragon energy, claiming that it was a safe place reminds me a lot of the Holocaust. I watched a documentary on Netflix called "Holocaust Killers: Ordinary Men" or something like that, and if I'm not mistaken, in that documentary it was said that the Nazis created false news about the camp. They showed the inhabitants of Germany that it was a safe and extremely fun place for Jews, although in reality, they were in sub-human conditions and suffering both physically and psychologically. Another point is that they used the experiments on humans there to claim that it was "a necessary sacrifice" to ruin the lives of the Aryans. For Imperium, it is also a necessary sacrifice to trap dragons and put them in ill-treatment conditions, as it was for the "good" of the race.
Furthermore, there are several other details that I don't even remember, I should watch the series again and after that I would have to read a book about fascism. But something that really interested me was the Imperium Teen Protection force, do you know who else resembled them? Blackshirts, a leader support group, a "national security militia"…. BOOM! They are identical to the black shirts of Italian fascism! Okay, not so equally, while the group of teenagers is considerably smaller and less violent, but in general they have the same principle, even the same color of clothes (of course there is the issue of black being a cool color and matching the modern kingdom design).
Honestly, nothing convinces me otherwise, and I think that if you study history and watched the series you certainly felt the same connection with this historical moment. Let's face it, if Ninjago wasn't a series for children, everything focused on Prime Empire would be MUCH more violent. I'm sure they could even put in a "Hail Beatrix", criticize the moral and religious issues (conservatives certainly wouldn't like it, there is already a trace of criticism towards them in the canon, imagine that explicitly). So, this was my first opinion about Ninjago Dragons Rising and I really love this connection they made, especially while many far-right conservative movements and neo-Nazi movements (unfortunately rising from the ashes, these people have to study more history from good sources) continue to emerge. So that's it, sorry for the horrible writing and the bad translation, I don't speak English and stuff like that! I hope you enjoyed it and have a good day!
Note: This post does not aim to defend any far-right movement or neo-facist view. It's just my opinion related to the series, if it seems like I defended these movements, I'm sorry, but that's certainly not my intention.

🇬🇧 … the British empire created Israel!! — “One nation solemnly promised a second nation the country of a third!” … Arthur Khoska, Journalist!! — the BALFOUR Declaration!!
By: LaillaB, founder ‘Reclaim the Narrative’, from LinkedIn …
“Accusation: Britain created Israel out of Palestinian land that they had no right to give away...
"The Balfour Declaration was made by,
(a) a European power,
(b) about a non-European territory,
(c) in a flat disregard of both the presence and the wishes of the native majority resident in that territory,
(d) it took the form of a promise about this same territory to another foreign group so that this foreign group might quite literally make this territory a national home for the Jewish people.
Balfour's statements in the declaration take for granted the higher right of a colonial power to dispose of a territory as it saw fit.”
-Edward Said, Palestinian American professor, academic, literary critic and political activist.
"As a historian whose field is the
Holocaust, it's hard for me to say this ... the ministers in government today in Israel, ideologically, are pure racists"
Daniel Blatman, Hebrew University, Haaretz
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says “Rafah is Hamas’ last remaining stronghold” after more than six months of aggression and a plausible genocide, and that sending in ground troops is essential to defeat the group.
Rafah’s population has swelled from 280,000 people to an estimated 1.4 million as Palestinians flee fighting elsewhere in Gaza. Hundreds of thousands of those evacuees are living in sprawling tent camps.
Israel has created a human bottleneck, having forced Palestinians to flee south to Rafah, where over half of Gaza's population of 2.3 million people have sought refuge from the Gaza Holocaust — 🕊
Balfour’s promise created a western colony in the Middle East, born out of a tragedy (holocaust) that then inflicts the same tragedy on the natives in Palestine.
Irony at its peak. — “Britain, whose land will you give to the Palestinians after their holocaust?"

WTF, what is happening to the world???
Don't like using my Tumblr for other things than fun and fandoms that I use for escapism of the real world. But, WTF, what is happening to the world???
I can't understand all this “free speech” nonsense/ absurdity, because for me it's very simple: "freedom of expression of opinion/ free speech" is one thing, but slander, defamation, hate speech, attacks on minorities, etc, IS NOT "freedom of opinion/ speech", it is verbal violence (which, if disseminated, turns into other types of violence).
It's not that these people don't know the difference between “freely expressing my opinion” and “violent and hate speech”, they PRETEND not to know the difference in an attempt to legitimize their "hate speech", claiming that it is nothing more than “free speech ”. And the more people believe this, more lost we'll be as a society.
And, another thing, it's very easy to perceive prejudice, but in case you are in doubt: when someone who enjoys rights, but wants another group of people not to enjoy the same right, segregates and restricts them, that is prejudice. Then:
If you have the right to come and go, and I don't. This is segregation, and it is prejudice.
If you are white and you can freely access a building, but I, who am black, have to use the employee service elevator. This is racial prejudice, it is racism.
If you can go into an expensive store, or restaurant. And I'm blocked or watched closely by security, just because of the way I dress and because I look poor, that's prejudice. It's class elitism.
If you are a man, and can drive or play a sport, and I am a woman and I am restricted from enjoying this same right because I am a woman. This is prejudice. It's misogyny. It's sexism.
If you are heterosexual, and you can go out holding hands with your boyfriend/girlfriend, you can kiss them and show affection, but you think that because I am from the LGBTQIA+ community I cannot do the same, I cannot enjoy the same right as you, then you are being prejudiced. This is homophobia.
If you have the freedom to believe in and practice cult in a religion, but believe that others should not have the same right, just because their religion is different from yours. This is prejudice. It's religious intolerance.
If you think that someone different from you, that people with disabilities/PwD, if you think they are not capable or are inferior to you, that is prejudice, that is ableism.
I can't believe that in the 21st century, someone would still say that won't assist someone who is LGBTQIA+ and justify that “I have that right!”. What? Once you justify it this way, and the Court agrees with it, becomes possible to segregate ANY person. Do not doubt then that tomorrow black people will not be served either, because “I have that right”. Or “I'll not provide service to you in my store because I do not agree with your religion, your way of thinking, or your way of living, I have that right”.
And now this fake discourse of"free speech", this madness is spreading to other places.
No, you do not have the right to prune the rights of others!
So, repeat with me: when you want to enjoy rights, but you don't want others to enjoy the same rights as you, that IS PREJUDICE AND SEGREGATION. It is not freedom of speech, not freedom of opinion.
If rights are equal for everyone, then everyone MUST be able to enjoy them, regardless of who they are, whether you like it or not. If we leave room for some to enjoy something and others not, that will not be a free society based on equality and freedom.
No. These people are not defending "freedom of speech". They are defending segregation. They are defending slander. Defending the right to defamation. Defending the right to lie. Right to Fake News.
