Daisy pushed some of her braids behind her ears as she made sure she gathered all that she could from the room, stuffing a small backpack before she slipped it on. "Sounds like a plan. I think there's some canned fruit and vegetables in there." she said, tightening the blanket around her shoulders after her set it on. "Thank you." she hummed, nuzzling against his side as they stepped outside. She let his words repeat in his mind. We're going to be fine.
She led him to the cabin close by, moving quickly before letting them both in. "I can hold a little bit more in this bag, there might be another one here." she murmured, turning on a flashlight to see what was within. "We don't want to pack too much it'll look premeditated." she added as an afterthought as she looked around.
Leon slothfully slipped back into his ragged, blood-soaked clothes, his eyes watching her every movement. He enjoyed the way her dainty fingers lingered along her flesh as she shifted fabric into its rightful place. The way her braids fell before her flawless features, her warm hues peering through the curtains it created. No one should be allowed to be so tempting. Silver cladded digits lifted to run through his messy curls, brushing the chocolate coils out of his face as he nodded. "We're going to be fine." He assured her, knowing damn well no matter what happened, her safety was his only priority.
A crooked smile played on paled lips, taking hold of her extended hand as he rose from his spot on the ground. With a swift movement, his free hand snatched at a tattered blanket that hung on one of the bunks by the exit. "Let's head to cabin four for a few supplies, then it's off into the night." He urged, tossing the shroud over her shoulders as they stepped out into the murky moonlit air.

Daisy watched Leon as he got her a plate. She was slightly flustered, part of her wondering if anyone else was looking at them. She supposed that was self centered of her though. They were all obviously busy mourning the friends they had lost. She was sure she would have felt more broken up too, if she hadn't been so focused on the male. She easily nudged him back before taking the plate.
"You need to eat too," she whispered softly, searching his face before she held up part of the sausage to his mouth. After, she decided to take a few bites for herself as she rested her head back against his shoulder. "I just don't want to be too far from you. Is that okay?" she asked, tilting her head up again. "I know it's an awful time to be clingy but....I don't know Lee...it could be anyone. You're the only one I trust. You were with me the whole time." she whispered quietly, her eyes briefly flickering back to Jake.
"I can help you guys with the cars. I know a thing or two. I've watched Grease like thirty times." she said, as if that clearly meant she knew stuff about cars. She was sorely mistaken, but hopefully he'd find it endearing enough.
"Slim Jims. What kind of man do you take me for." A false look of offense is activated but swiftly replaced with a smirk. "Ah, every girl's dream, aye? I'll have to keep that in mind." He teased, though it didn't matter if the world craved such a thing, as long as Daisy enjoyed it, that's all that mattered to him.
Their fellow staff members were paired up, blotchy-faced, and steeped in fear. It was an oddly exhilarating sight, but Leon did his best to remain inconspicuous. The last thing he needed was to appear unsympathetic or unfazed by the horrendous happenings that plagued them.
There was a dense, uncomfortable air that suddenly surrounded the fire pit. Leon wasn't quite certain what triggered it, but it was heavy and left him curious as to what he might be missing. Was Jake still worked up over their plans shifting? Was Daisy uneasy from all that had transpired the night before? Perhaps it was a bit of both, but he'd focus on clearing the atmosphere as much as possible. "Yeah, we tried to only cook enough to feed everyone, but not stuff them." Chuckling, he welcomes Daisy's proximity with a gentle nudge of approval. Passing her a small plate with eggs and sausage, the male reaches behind her back to grab a water bottle from a cooler filled with near to no ice. "Eat up. Afterward, we'll head to your cabin to collect your things and look for supplies." Anything to make her feel more comfortable. "Jake and I need to find some tools. See if we can't get one of those hunks of metal working." A waste of time, but a facade for all the others to witness.

Daisy leaned into his hand, pressing gentle kisses against his palm before she nodded. "I trust you." she said, fully meaning it. Yet, even if nothing went to plan she would be happy knowing she had been at his side. "We'll be okay. We'll just stick together. Come up with an idea of what we'll say if they seperate us." she said, squeezing his hand gently before she finally pushed herself up from the floor.
She spent a few moments adjusting her outfit, feeling flushed now that the adrenaline had started to wear off. She could feel the ache growing in her nose, but she ignored it for now. "C'mon handsome...you and I need to get started with the rest of our lives okay?" she whispered, offering a hand to him as she back towards the door, happy to see there wasn't too much evidence left. It simply looked like a fight that went wrong, and that was what they'd go with. Better to keep some truth than none.
This was bliss. Heaven on the hell that was earth. Limbs tangled with an angel and minute after minute of euphoric ecstasy. Even as the sour taste of crimson coated their heated kisses and blanketed their flesh, they melted into one another drowning out the scent of decay. After what felt like not nearly long enough, reality decided to intervene. "I know." Leon groans, clearly dissatisfied with the situation. "Unfortunately, we need to keep these clothes on. I've got a stash of food, you should eat before we head out… I don't know when the next time we'll actually have a decent meal."
They needed to look believable. They needed to have appeared to have taken off from the camp after the attack with Jake; Beaten, bruised, and starved. "Just remember, whatever happens-" Turning, he lifts a crudely covered hand to cup her cheek. "I'm going to protect you." Despite her saving him, he'd do anything to safeguard her.

It felt as though hours had passed, Daisy trying to catch her breath as she curled up to Leon. The stench of death was starting to fill the room, and she knew that if they actually wanted to get away with this they'd need to get out sooner rather than later. Slowly she untangled herself from his grasp, sitting up and pulling her ripped shirt back on. "We need to get walking." she murmured sweetly, reaching down to push some of his curls back from his face.
"We can practice what we're going to say as we go, sound like a plan?" she asked pecking at his nose and cheeks as she tried to encourage him to get ready as well.
There's no concealing the wicked grin that morphs his lips, ravenous kisses being awarded between words. "Fuck, I've had my fair share of fantasies." Taking her under the glow of the moon, with the brush of lake water on their legs. Or hidden behind one of the cabins, splintered timber reddening the length of her back as he took his fill. "But this? You like this?" Pausing, he pulls back just enough to allow lust-fueled hues to drink in. "Is perfect." Rough hands move in a flurry to remove his blood-soaked clothes, discarding them with speed so that his palms can return to her frame. Fingers investigate every inch of her velvety flesh, mouth mapping frenzied kisses along her neck and collarbones. Teeth nip at the skin, leaving tiny marks of possession in their wake. "Mine." He repeats, more so to himself than her, hips jerking with voracious anticipation.

Daisy nodded quickly. "I'm sure." she assured him. Maybe she shouldn't have been so certain, but there was no use in holding back now. She kissed him again harshly before she pulled away, tugging what was left of her ripped shirt over her head. She had been waiting to actually sleep with Leon, had been enjoying teasing him once or twice, but there was no time like the present.
"I'm sorry it has to be quick. I've had a lot of dreams of the two of us in fields, or by the water." she whispered with a soft laugh. She leaned onto her knees to start pushing down her shorts next, taking a quick break to start kissing his lips again, feeling a slight nervousness come over her.
She was completely off her rocker. Leon wasn't sure if he'd pushed her to that point or if there was always a part of Daisy that was always hanging on by a thread, but she'd thoroughly lost it, and he fucking loved it. "I mean it when I say as long as you're with me, nothing will ever hurt you." Sure, he might have to take his wickedness out on unsuspecting victims, but she'd never be harmed. Nothing other than the stunning blood-splattered girl in his lap mattered.
A hunger grew in the base of his gut as their frames melted together, a yearning heat of desire burning his flesh. "Forever." He repeated the word as a silent oath; a pledge to remain unbroken by time. Lips devour her, nipping and sucking at her own before moving to taste the skin lining the length of her neck. "Are you sure?" He breathes roughly, though his greedy palms explode her body, fingers tugging at the fabric that separated them.

She nodded at his question. “I’m sure.” she whispered. She was sure that others would have believed she had a great life, or plenty to live for. In truth she wasn’t sure she had even started to live until she was reunited with Leon. Something had snapped, and she wasn’t sure she ever wanted to return to normalcy, certainly not when she could have him instead.
She sighed against his lips as he spoke, fingers tugging gently at his tresses. “I’m yours.” she purred in response, her hips grinding down to meet his. “We’ll protect each other, okay? Forever.” she practically panted, before kissing him harsher, her lips already beginning to ache from the impact. “Make me yours.” she huffed against his skin, wondering if she was going too far, if she was going to scare him.
"Dais…" Words ricocheted around his mind, yet none seemed to reach his lips. It was impossible to think when she gazed at him with such an intoxicating stare. "Are you sure…?" Because there was nowhere else on the face of the planet he'd rather be. Daisy was it for him. She was his Eden and hell. She was the driving force beyond the madness that drove him to murder.
Arms band tightly about her waist, his mouth greedy and fierce with each kiss. "I need you to know-" He groans lightly in frustration. Outrage at himself for dragging her into his chaos. "-I'll do everything in my power to protect you." Ravenous palms glide up along her back, pressing her frame into his. "You're mine."

Daisy's eyes searched his, starting to nod. "I know what could happen to me." she agreed. "But we've already come this far together, haven't we?" she murmured, leaning forward to press a warm kiss to his lips to try and soothe him. Yet she quickly began trying to comfort herself, deepening the kiss as her hands moved to his hair, toying with the curls.
"I don't want to be apart from you Leon." she murmured against his lips as she carefully slipped onto the floor to climb into his lap. "Do you really think we have a chance? That we can swing it? I think we can." she rambled between her increasingly messy pecks.
Leon couldn't break his stare, fearful that with each passing second she'd suddenly splinter. Her ease and lack of concern were slightly troubling. Was this normal? Should he be concerned? The entire ordeal was almost comical. Here he was, the deaths of half the camp bloody on his hands, and he was worried that his girlfriend might be unhinged.
A throaty laugh rings loudly in the company of Jake's mute corpse. "I'm sorry." But the smile remains permanent on his face. "I shouldn't laugh, but it's pretty fucking funny that we're talking about this." A piss-poor plan of escape after his brutal attacks and her saving blows that left her coined a killer. "You understand what could happen if you come with me… right?" Abruptly, his tone darkens but the simper is unmoved, almost creepily in place.
"If we're going to do this-" Escape into the wilderness to create some fantastical tale of survival. "-I need to know you understand the possible consequences…"

Daisy watched as his eyes moved lower, resting for a moment on her chest. She let out a soft chuckle as she reached up to cup his chin and raise his face until their eyes met again. She offered him a little wink before settling back and finally using the tee-shirt to clean her nose up once she was pretty sure she was done bleeding.
"You think that will work? Blaming him?" she asked, staring at his head. "I mean I'm worried that that looks too intentional? How do we explain how we survived?" she questioned, before scrunching her nose as she realized she was thinking a little too clearly about this. Why wasn't the guilt setting in? Why didn't she feel disgusted? Why wasn't she running?
"If we're going to do it we need to start hiking or trying to get out so it looks like we ran for help after beating him.
She definitely had to be riddled by shock, right? There was no way in hell that her reaction was normal. Daisy should be screaming at the top of her lungs and running for the damn hills, not commenting on holding this against him in jest. It was utterly mind-boggling. "That's fair. I mean, after everything, I'd say I'm pretty indebted to you." His signature crooked smile tugs at the corner of his mouth, hand lowering just enough to check the flow of her nosebleed. "It's slowing, should be done soon." He murmured before shaking his head, gaze falling to study a particularly stunning splatter of crimson on her chest. "I'm going to be honest with you, Dais… I have no fucking idea." Originally, he and Jake had intended to be the wounded survivors of a brutal massacre at the camp. They'd worked through a plot to injure one another just enough to make their gruesome tale believable. But now there was evidence that would contradict what they'd devised… Unless…
Turning, he gawks at the limb frame of his best friend, slowly rising to his feet. "We fucking pin it on Jake."

Daisy let out a sigh as Leon continued speaking. "Thank God." she whispered softly, letting her eyes fall shut as he pulled chunks from her hair. "Trust me. I'll remember it. I'll remind you of it every time you annoy me from now on." she managed to joke. This shouldn't have been normal. She again, tried to remind herself that she should be running for her life, and yet here she was, curling in closer to Leon.
"What do we do now? I mean basically everyone is gone....how the hell are you going to get away with this?" Daisy asked with a tilt of her head as her hand finally fell from his hair down to his shoulders. "At some point they're going to find this, I mean the children are supposed to come soon, no?" she murmured, though maybe now wasn't the time to start hatching a master plan.
Gently, she tried to pull him in closer, though she wasn't saying it, she was feeling the overwhelming urge to be held. Perhaps some of the fear was starting to creep in, and yet, the only person she wanted to protect her through it was Leon.
"I feel like shit." He acknowledges with a ghost of a smile toying at his busted lips. It was bizarre grinning when he'd been caught red-handed, figuratively and literally. Would she come back to her senses at any minute? Once the adrenaline seeped from her veins and the high dripped into fruition would she be disgusted with him? By him? "Never!" He spits the word as though it left a vile taste coating his tongue. "I won't lie, I'd hoped you wouldn't come." But not for the reasons she was pondering. "I didn't want you to be a part of this." The turmoil. The carnage. The atrocity. He cared for her far more than his desire to eradicate. "But when you showed up it was too late to turn back." Things had been set in motion and Jake really would have gone after her if everything had changed. "Believe it or not, keeping you safe was always the goal."
"A little what?" He questions before twisting to track her gaze. "Ah, yeah…" He'd nearly forgotten that she wasn't accustomed to slaying as he was. It was a violent, chaotic endeavor. "You still look as fucking ravishing as ever." Was it odd to be complementing her as he lifted a free hand to pull chunks of matter from her hair? "I'm okay because of you. Remember that, Dais."

"I'll be fine, I've dealt with worse...you look like shit though." Daisy was easy to reply as her eyes met his. She tried to read him, to see if he was disgusted by what she had done. She was slightly disgusted with herself, but he reflected nothing but admiration and interest, she thought. Odd. "Don't be sorry. We protect each other." she insisted as she settled in. She couldn't resist the smile that crossed her lips as he kneeled before her, holding the shirt to her nose.
Her hand reached out, instinctively twirling his long strands of hair around her fingers. "Were you going to kill me before I confessed how I was feeling?" she asked with a tilt of her head. Her adrenaline was still running too high for her to really notice how much her face was beginning to ache. "Or did you decide before you came that if I showed up you wouldn't hurt me? Be honest, I'm not judging just curious." she rambled, her brain struggling to truly process everything that was happening now.
"I know I did what I had to...and that I saved you, but I dunno! It was a little..." she rambled, glancing back again to Jake. "It was violent! I have your friend's brains in my braids I figured it'd be rude not to ask if you're mad." she said, meeting Leon's eyes again. "I'm just glad you're okay."
“Are you sure? You don’t look fine.” Fury flickered in his glistening eyes as he peered at the devastation of crimson Jake had left in his wake. Leon should have been the one to safeguard her, instead, she’d salvaged him from his crazed best friend. Their lips meet in a chaotic mix of blood, passion, and apprehension and the affection leaves him perplexed. Was she in shock? Did she have any idea who she was kissing and what he’d done? Had the massacre of the last few nights and the violent battle left her drained and uncertain of reality? “Thank you… thank you, Daisy.” His hand lifts to take the shirt from her grasp, gently holding it against her battered nose for her. “I’m sorry I couldn’t protect you..” From the one person, he was supposed to be able to trust.
Watching her with caution, the filthy male inches forward, falling to kneel between her legs on the floor, his hand still nursing her wound. “Yeah… I mean, no.” A groan rattles in his chest, his head shaking. “I would never harm you! I told you that from the beginning.” And he’d meant it. From the moment she’d stepped foot on the campgrounds he’d made it clear that she was off limits. “You were never supposed to be a part of this…” But now she knew his despicable secret.
Blinking in bewilderment, Leon gradually turns to glance over his shoulder at his best friend-turned-betrayer. “…you’re kidding, right?” His attention fell back to her. “You heard all of that… and you’re worried I’ll be upset with you?” A cold laugh escapes. “Did you hit your head?” Now wasn’t the time for teasing, but then again, neither of them had a manual on how to handle such a twisted situation. “You saved me, Daisy. That sick fuck was going to kill me and I have no doubt in my mind that he was going to go after you next. You did what you had to.”

Daisy cupped at Leon's cheeks in return, trying to see if there were any injuries she could help with, as if blood wasn't still gushing out of her nose from the elbow to her face. "I'm fine." she assured him, a brief smile spreading across her lips. She leaned in, kissing him harshly, letting her adrenaline take over for a moment. "Now we shouldn't go pointing fingers about crazy, okay? I saved you. You needed me and I was here." he sighed, finally pulling away. She ripped a small piece of her tee shirt off, balling the fabric up to cup it to her nose.
"I...heard what he said." Daisy admitted, her dark eyes searching his. "Was it true? This was your plan all along? Kill everyone? Kill me?" she asked, moving to sit down on one of the bunks. She didn't have the urge to run. Not now. She was too involved. She was just as bad as he was. She patted the spot next to her, inviting her boyfriend to join her as her eyes rested on Jake's lifeless body.
"Are you upset I killed him? Did I ruin this for you?" she asked as she stared over to him blankly.
The pair of men crumpled across the filthy floor in a howl of grunts and punches. "Goddamit, Dais!" But his frustration was quickly blinded by a fist to the lip. The taste of copper blankets his tongue, crimson sufficing his mouth. In response, he swiftly counters with an attack of his own, before the sight of a beauty hovers from above. "Don't fucking touch her!" Leon roared as he heard Daisy tumble back, slipping from Jake's shoulders with an audible thud. The scene was unfolding far too fleetly to register; orbs working double time in an attempt to capture all that was evolving. Limbs weave in a battle for supremacy and dominion, laments of agony filling the air.
In an instant, Leon can feel meaty palms quelling his airway, his fingers forming into claws as they seek freedom. Gasping for relief, vision blurring, he can feel himself drifting when the massive being on top of him suddenly falls lifeless, heated ruby cascading down their frames as he gasped for air. The thumping of impact echoes throughout the cabin for what feels like an eternity before sailing into a silence that engulfs them.
"Daisy…" Jake's limp body is removed, leaving the male gazing up at the most stunning woman he's ever witnessed. Scarlet adorns her ravishing features, fragments of flesh clinging to her dark hair. The concern on her face almost brings a hint of laughter to his lips, his tweaked frame pushing off the ground before he greedily reaches out for her. Rough palms lift to cup her face, a calloused thumb skimming the blood stained underbelly of her lesser lip. "Are you okay?!" He retorted, wondering if the beauty before him was truly there or a figment of his air deprived mind.
"You're crazy, you know that?" He was one to talk. "You should have listened to me." Which would have most likely left him as the lifeless lump on the floor, but at least she wouldn't have had to make such an altering choice.

Daisy didn't listen to Leon. "I'm not leaving you." was all she responded with, offering him a stern look to back it up. It all happened so quickly though as the pair tumbled to the ground. Even so she didn't go for the door. In fact she attempted again to intervene. When Jake managed to get on top of Leon she grabbed onto the man's shoulders trying with all her strength to pull him off. Yet even with her adrenaline pumping, she couldn't. Jake knocked Daisy off with a swift elbow to her nose.
It was no worse than the times she broke her nose during cheerleading, she refused to let it slow her down. "I said get off of him, you jackass." she practically hissed between her teeth. In the dark of the cabin she scanned the room again for anything she can use. Before she could stop and debate whether she should, she grabbed a nearby hammer.
Once again Daisy climbed onto Jake's back, lifting her arms high over her head before bringing the hammer down against the back of his head. Blood splattered upon the contact. If she had been paying attention she would have noticed how quickly his body sagged. Still she hit him at least three more times before she finally dropped the weapon, spitting some of the crimson out of her mouth. When she started to compose herself she stood, doing her best to help Leon roll Jake's limp body off of him. "Are you okay?" she asked breathlessly, her head tilting.
She held a blood-stained hand out to her beau, offering a hand up.
What the actual fuck. Everything was happening at hyperspeed, leaving Leon with an aching jaw and utterly bewildered. One second he and Jake were having a heated discussion, that was clearly ending in brutality, and the next Daisy was upon them, forcing distance between the males. "Dais." Leon's gruff voice drips with confusion and concern. Where had she come from? How long had she been near? What remarks had drifted to her ears?! He hadn't the slightest, but he was swift to put himself between her and Jake, who now had a look of complete hatred burning his features. "You shouldn't be here." He hissed silently under his breath, panic threatening to slip.
Jake had doubtlessly been caught by surprise, but astonishment swiftly transformed into fury. He gawked between the lovers with disdain, chest heaving like that of a beast. With a loud lament, he darts forward, hands reaching out to snatch Leon. "I told you!" Jake wails. Their frames tumble roughly to the ground with an echoing thud, a chorus of groans ringing from the pair. "Get out of here!" Leon demands, his words meant for the female. Bodies tangle as fists begin swinging wildly in attempts to meet their target. A busted lip here, bloodied nose there. "Go!"

"Beef sticks? Are we talking Slim Jims or another brand?" Daisy asked with a raised brow. Her teasing tone followed as they moved onto another subject. "Oh? That's something? I mean isn't a big strong lumberjack every girls dream?" she asked with a raised brow and a laugh. Three people had been brutally murdered and she was laughing? Surely the shock was getting to her. It had to be. She'd always been relatively empathetic, and she had certainly been horrified the night before. She wasn't sure she'd be alive now if it wasn't for the way Leon took charge and led her away from the water.
She held onto his hand the entire walk to the small fire. She tried not to stare at their friends. She couldn't stand the terror on their faces, the worry on some, or the complete loss of faith on others. She had to believe they would get out of this situation. Leon said so. She could hike, or swim. They'd figure something out.
Her dark eyes landed on Jake once they got close enough. There was always something off about the male. She'd never been a fan. At first she believed it was simply because he was so close to Leon. She would never admit it out loud, but she had been jealous of him. Yet, now that she knew she didn't have to worry about feeling that way, she realized there was something more sinister playing underneath. She just hoped it wasn't what she was thinking.
"We should be rationing, right?" she asked Leon quietly, leaning into him again after sitting down besides the fire. She finally offered Jake a small nod of a greeting, letting awkwardness settle over them rather than speak to him herself.
"Sure, but if I recall correctly, last night you had nothing but some beer and a good few shots of vodka. Which isn't much of a meal, if you ask me." A sly smile tweaks his lips before he swiftly waves off her statement. "There was no way in hell I was letting you out of my sight." Nothing on earth could have stopped him from protecting her. Even if things hadn't gone according to plan, Leon was prepared to protect the girl. "Me? I'm fine. A little shaken up, but who wouldn't be." Alright, so that was a bit of a fib, but he couldn't exactly admit to being fine and dandy when three counselors had been slaughtered.
"Hey now, I've got beef sticks and trail mix too." Not to mention the stash of canned goods he and Jake had squirreled away. "But beer and gum? Now that's a mix." Chuckling, he can't help but lean forward to sniff at his shirt. It was a mix of natural musk, the remnants of the forest, and a hint of sweat. "Damn, here I am trying to be smooth and I smell like a lumberjack. But knowing you're okay with it? Now that's something." Did she have any idea how easily she had him wrapped around her dainty little finger? He was pathetic and had no shame, not when it came to Daisy. Then she kissed him, the sensation leaving him ravenous for more, but now was not the time nor place.
"Together." Taking her hand and rising, Leon carefully leads her out of their wooden sanctuary. Not too far from the entrance sits a small fire with a few of their fellow counselors. Notably, Jake perks up at the sight of them, motioning for the pair to join him. "Jake saved us some of the good grub," Leon explains as they approach, offering her a seat near the fire.

"I'm not exactly wasting away." Daisy tried to tease him softly, but still she nodded, agreeing that she'd go with him to eat. She should have cried as she remembered the night before. The horror. The fear. Yet, she felt nothing. It must have been the shock, she thought, rubbing a hand along her face. "I'm glad you were there with me. You got me out of there." she remembered out loud, her eyes studying him. "How...how are you feeling? Are you in shock?" she asked, suddenly worried she wasn't offering enough help to him.
"Well I hope whatever candy you have hidden is enough. I think I only have some beer I snuck in. Maybe some bubble gum." she sighed, before focusing back on Leon. "No, no. You don't stink. Well I mean maybe you do, I'm sure I do too. I don't mind it." she laughed, making herself flustered in the process. "You smell like you. I like that." she sighed. His reassurance helped her to breath easier. Daisy reached up to cup at his cheek, making sure that their eyes stayed locked. "Together." she agreed, before leaning in to press a kiss to his lips. It wasn't chaste by any means, but she pulled away the moment she heard her stomach grumble. Her cheeks warmed with embarrassment as she rose from small pile of blankets she'd covered the floor with. She had been convinced that sleeping in the bunk would be too obvious, as if the floor was any less visible.
Her fingers toyed with the hem of the tee-shirt she'd stolen from him. "C'mon." she offered her hand to help him up.
"It'll sure as hell give me peace of mind," Leon admits with a dry laugh. Getting food and water into her would be a start. Followed by doing everything in his power to make certain she felt secure. Though, that would be a difficult feat with what was planned for the forthcoming days, but he'd manage. "Yeah… last night did happen, Dais." His arm tightens its grip on her, dipping forward to press a quick peck to the crown of her head. "But you're okay. I'm not going to let anything happen to you." And that was a pledge he intended to keep, even with Jake and his qualms about the newly changed situation.
"Basically… yeah. We're kinda up shits creek without a paddle, but I have a few things put away." Sneaky, scheming Leon with his hidden bag of tricks. "We're gonna be fine." But her next comment forces a deep chuckle out of him. "Damn, I stick? Shit, I'll shower after we eat. All that running around last night must have caught up with me." But something about the way she clung to him, assured him that she didn't seem to mind much. "You don't even have to ask." His response is immediate. "You're insane if you think I'm letting you out of my sights." After all these years, she was finally where she belonged. There was no way in hell that was going to change. "We're in the madness together." More than she'd ever know.
"Now rise and shine, Sleeping Beauty, time for breakfast."

As soon as he wrapped his arm around her, she followed the warmth, burrowing against his side as she began rubbing at her tired eyes. "Shock? Would food help with shock?" she tried to think about the shitty first aid training they all had to go through to get this gig, and nothing really came to mind. "Did last night really happen?" she asked, finally turning to meet his eyes as she began to truly wake up.
"So we're trapped. With barely enough food. I mean there's hardly even enough deer in the area to live on. Maybe fish." she tiredly tried to think through what they could do. "You smell like sweat," she murmured and though in most cases the words would be an insult they were a compliment. She enjoyed smelling him. Daisy shook her head, reaching a hand up to fix her crimped hair. "Leon, I need you to promise me you'll stay by my side. Please. We can help the others we just...have to keep each other level headed, okay?" She was obviously still shaken up from the night before, but something told her she'd make it out of this alive.
Goddamn, she was otherwordly. Even as she rose from a deep slumber she appeared faultless. From the gentle pucker of her perfectly shaped lips to the flicker of her lashes as her gaze was greeted by the kiss of the sun. Leon was certain that if he had the opportunity he'd simply goggle upon her for hours. "Nah, we're not dead." There's a dry chuckle that follows his words, a protective arm lifting to wrap around her frame as she finally rose from her position. "Yes food, I need to make sure you aren't in shock." Though could he truly blame her if she was?
"Well, all the cars are useless. They've been tampered with." Leon does his best to begin explaining what's been unfolding since she'd been asleep. "We're at least thirty miles out from the nearest town, but a few brave souls have decided to hike out there, hoping they'll find help." Not that they made it far. Jake had taken care of them before they could really set off. "Our best bet is to try and fortify some of the cabins and bunker down until someone shows up."

Daisy wasn't stupid, though many believed it. Sure on the first night she had been too scared to think through what was going on. Yet as the deaths around her continued while she, Leon, and Jake lived, she started to catch on. She had pretended to sleep, not moving a single muscle when Leon left her in the cabin alone, until she was sure he wouldn't see her following behind him.
She had missed the first part of their conversation from where she knelt outside the cabin. She stayed just below a window, hoping she wouldn't be seen from the outside. The end of it had been crystal clear though. Her heart sank. Leon and Jake had been the killers. Her suspicions had come true. Any sensible person would have started running, get away as quickly as possible before Jake could get her. It was obvious he was willing to stop at nothing. She shifted, trying to lean up to look inside.
Though it nearly gets her caught, it gives her a view of Jake going after Leon. Even after everything she feels some sort of connection. She can't run and leave him. She can't let Jake win this. Daisy moved quickly and as quietly as she could to get into the cabin, the locks always being easy to pick. Yet once she's inside she realizes she barely has anything she can use as a weapon, aside from beating Jake with her bag.
"Get away from him," Daisy shouted like a banshee as she rushed towards Jake, shoving him and hoping that she'd give Leon enough time to lock in and help.
"Keep your fucking voice down!" The words are hissed between clenched teeth, dark orbs flickering towards the cabin door. The last thing either of them needed was someone overhearing their bloodcurdling conversation. "I told you from the beginning. I don't care what ridiculousness you want to indulge in, but you're not touching her." How many times had they been over this since the frenzy had begun? Too goddamn many. "She's with me, which means she's off-limits." But a haunting gleam in the depths of Jake's eyes told him this would be a problem. "You're blinded by an old high school crush! She's making you lose sight of the plan!" Jake spits, disgust dripping like fresh crimson in his tone.
"Don't be an idiot! I'm all in! I have been since the start!" Hell, other than the first night, Leon had done most of the slaughtering. "I'm just laying claim to this one thing and you have to fucking deal with it!" Was it envy? Jealousy of the girl that had recaptured his obsession? "She's blinding you and needs to be put down like the bitch she is!"
Fury instantly pulses through him, sending the male surging forward towards the other. "Who the hell do you think you are?!" Palms slam roughly against the other's chest, sending him stumbling back. "I swear to God, Jake, if you say-" But his words are silenced when a sound catches his attention. "-Shut up!" He commands, head twisting to peer at the darkened windows that surround them. "I think someone is outsid-" But his thoughts are brought to an abrupt halt as a fist collides with his chin. // @bluejeanbaby
