Y'know ppl can say what they want about Luffy's Gear 5th and how he's overpowered and what not but....

The fact that his awakened fruit basically just makes him a human Bugs Bunny who very much also embodies freedom is so perfect I could cry every time I think about it...(I love it because...Luffy doesn't have a big imagination, but he is creative and very literal which is why cartoons are his best fit)

I mean I'm re-reading Wano and like he's so cute and happy and fluffy while altering all the laws of physics.

Actually, rob lucci does something using Life return/biofeedback that let him make his body in hybrid form much larger and stronger then the norm.

i find it interesting that all three users of the hito hito no mi that we've seen so far in the series have had the power of gigantification

we know that generally zoan types have three forms: their base form, their hybrid form, and their full transformation.

chopper was only able to get more hybrid forms due to his use of rumble balls, and was only able to learn to control his monster point after the two year timeskip.

ever since we learned about devil fruit awakening during dressrosa, it's always been my theory that chopper was able to awaken his devil fruit during the timeskip, and that's why he was finally able to control his monster point.

if gigantification is one of the powers of awakened hito hito no mi, it would make sense why chopper wasn't able to control his monster point until then - because he hadn't strengthened his fruit powers enough pre-timeskip, so he lost his sense of self and just became a monster.

from the discussion between kid and law a few chapters back, powers gained from awakening your devil fruit can only be used for a short time because they take a huge toll on the user's body, and this also supports the idea that gigantification is an awakened devil fruit power.

luffy can only use his gear four for ten minutes at a time if i remember correctly? and it would make sense for gear five to have a similar time limit.

(also this is a theory for another time but i wonder if his different gear four forms could count as hybrid forms)

after gear four, luffy shrinks for a while, which is coincidentally very similar to what happened to chopper after he extended his monster point past its usual duration and ended up becoming a little old man.

even during the summit war, sengoku only used his big buddha form for a very short time. if the marines had such a big ace up their sleeves and they could use it indefinitely, he definitely would have been out on the battlefield much longer, especially once things started to get messier. and of course as the fleet admiral, it would make sense for sengoku to have awakened his devil fruit already

I follow @beanghostprincess who posts about sanuso all the time, which gave me the idea of going through the color spreads to collect all the moments where the boys are together as a fun little project. This led to me finding a HUGE collection of art from the color walks I'd never seen before, so this little project became an hours-long rabbit hole, and I found some extra sanuso on the way. So uhhh here, hope someone enjoys :)

The Fremda group is described as locking the government out of their shelter after the Obelus Event occurred, likely in an attempt to hide from Obelus. 24 September 2007 – Ampersand tries to control Cora in order to break into the Googleplex building in Silicon Valley in order to locate the Fremda group. She is the 3rd human under his control to attempt this. She is able to escape with an incapacitated Ampersand due to an electromagnetic pulse that causes a black out. 26 September 2007 – Cora and Ampersand use Luciana’s contact with CIA Agent Sol Kaplan to help Ampersand gain access to the Fremda group. He directs them to Vandenberg AFB.           – Nils publishes “Where’s the Revolution?” in The Broken Seal           – Lewis Callum publishes “The Revelation of Nils Ortega” on the DeceptiNation blog           – Ampersand is allowed to meet the Fremda group.           – ROSA is reinstated.           – The Fremda group and Cora, Luciana, and Kaplan are transported to the NORAD Cheyenne Mountain Complex bunker in El Paso County, Colorado

5 October 2007      – Ampersand transports Cora out of NORAD for a moment to visit her empty home and see the stars in the desert.

6 October 2007    – Obelus breaks into NORAD using an electromagnetic pulse and Cora evacuates to Langley, the CIA headquarters. The Genome makes itself known as a small, partially natural amygdaline. Cora, the genome, Vincent, and Kaplan are given orders to leave. Their caravan of vehicles are taken out by another one of Obelus’s EM pulses. Cora, with the Genome in hand, runs from the scene to safety           – Vincent Park as well as a few other unnamed CIA employees are annihilated by Obelus and his Similars.           – Amygdaline Similar Brako is assumed deceased.

7 October 2007      – Luciana receives a text on her burner phone as to where Cora is located and picks her up, transporting them and the genome to one of Luciana’s contacts in Christianburg, Virginia. Luciana gives Cora coordinates to an abandoned warehouse two hours away that arrived with the text of Cora’s earlier location, suspecting that’s where Ampersand would like to meet.           – Cora meets Ampersand and Obelus appears. She is held captive with other Fremdans until Ampersand can bring Obelus the genome

9 October 2007           – Nils publishes “Open Letter” on The Broken Seal calling for his family to be released from government custody.   ?? October 2007      – Cora attempts to undermine Obelus by telling his similars that he is Fremdan and Ampersand’s symphyle, rousing suspicion amongst their ranks.           – Ampersand ultimately doesn’t comply, detonating an EMP allowing Cora will be able to evacuate the remaining Fremdans and the genome with transport plates.           – Cora attacks Obelus with a shovel while he is recovering from the EMP           – Cora is mutilated by Obelus, the Genome attempts to cause a distraction which ultimately results in her death           – In an attempt to get Ampersand to leave Earth, Obelus warns Cora that Ampersand was created to dominate and if he stays on Earth, any assimilation will result in his desire to take control of the Earth and that humans will hate him for it.           – Obelus’s similars return and challenge him. A fight ensues and he’s incapacitated. The similars take the genome, Obelus, and themselves back to the Superorganism.           – Cora is repaired by Ampersand.

~ 21 October 2007 – Cora awakens at a hospital with her mother Demi and Luciana with her who tell her that she’s been gone for two weeks.           – Cora is debriefed by the CIA           – On the second night of her hospital stay, Cora and Ampersand confirm that they have fusion bonded and are now symphyles.

Welcome to The Joy of Seax! I'm Máistir Aodh Ó Siadhail, OP, from the Shire of Dun in Mara, in Insulae Draconis, in Drachenwald. This is a sideblog for my SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism) stuff. I expect it to be mostly food and cookery things, but might verge over into other topics as the mood takes me. I follow back from my main, @arcanehobo, and mostly reblog on @drift-hobo.

I cook, do research, and write wording for scrolls and charters, in English and Irish. My cooking usually falls within pre-Norman Irish (for which there are no written recipes) or 10th-13th century Arabic (specifically al-Warraq and the Kanz, both in the Nasrallah translations). Occasionally I do Tudor English cookery as well. While I do standard modern-kitchen feast cookery in plenty, my absolute preference is for outdoor cookery or period-style cookery, with open fire and iron pots.

In persona terms, Aodh was born in the year 1000 in Dublin, of mixed Irish/Norse ancestry, and it's now 1045 for him. He fought in the Battle of Clontarf, and when that didn't go so well for his side, left with Norse friends. He travelled through Scandinavia and Rus' territory to Baghdad, where he learned to cook, and then back up through Rus' again and eventually home. He's now a briugiu, a sort of royally mandated innkeeper, in the kingdom of the Southern Ui Neill.

De verantwoordelijk architect voor de ventilatiegebouwen is Ad van der Steur, in de dertiger jaren gemeentearchitect van Rotterdam. Van der Steur maakte zich veel ontwerpstijlen eigen. Hij was als het ware de schakel tussen modernisme en traditionalisme. Invloeden van Frank Lloyd Wright en art deco zijn duidelijk terug te vinden in zijn werken.

Elke opdracht maakte hij zeer persoonlijk door een passende variant te kiezen. Neem de beide ventilatiegebouwen. Karakteristiek is het verweerde koper van het hoog opgaande koepelvormige dak met daaronder de roosters van de luchtinlaten. Hier zijn subtiele versieringen te zien, zoals de plooien op de grens van de roosters naar de koepel die bij langs vallend licht een geschubd patroon geven.

Onder het deel met de luchtin- en uitlaten de witte gevel van de technische ruimtes. Deze herbergt de luchtpers- en zuiginstallaties, en is herkenbaar aan de vele ramen voor voldoende daglicht. De voorkant heeft een groot rond raam in een gevel welke naar de randen elegant geplooide hoeken heeft. De zijgevels zijn ook niet geheel vlak, ze golven concaaf en hebben veel smalle, hoge ramen. Hierdoor krijgt de dakrand van de deze technische ruimtes van onderaf gezien een golvend patroon met expressief karakter; kenmerkend voor de Amsterdamse School.

Deze grestegelbekleding vinden we ook terug bij de naastgelegen toegangssgebouwtjes voor fietsers en voetgangers. Bijzonder in deze gebouwtjes is het plafondmozaïek boven de roltrappen van de bekende Amsterdamse School kunstenaar – en tevens Rotterdammer - Jaap Gidding. Dit mozaïek karakteriseert op een speelse wijze de functie van de tunnel, beneden het onderaardse met veelsoortige verkeer en daar boven het bovenaardse met zeemeerminnen, vissen, schepen en vogels.

Veel aanvragen voor vuurwapens bij Justitie

Voor het afgelopen zittingsjaar zijn er 1134 nieuwe aanvragen voor jachtgeweer vergunningen binnengekomen bij justitieel apparaat. Ten aanzien van vuistvuurwapens zijn dat 1045 aanvragen. Dit maakte waarnemend Procureur Generaal Astrid Niamat eerder bekend tijdens de opening van het zittingsjaar 2024 van het Hof van Justitie (HVJ). Er zijn 262 jachtgeweer aanvragen en 676 vuurwapen aanvragen afgewezen in de periode tussen 1 oktober 2022 en 15 september 2023. De openbare aanklager gaf ook aan dat project waarbij vuurwapens worden geregistreerd in het binnenland weer gestart is in augustus. De mensen in de gebieden moeten de wapens die zij gebruiken voor levensonderhoud aangeven bij Justitie. In de districten Para, Marowijne, Brokopondo, Sipaliwini en Saramacca zal er een herregistratie plaatsvinden. In Albina in het district Marowijne zijn er al 119 vuurwapens aangegeven bij de afdeling Vuurwapen. Tijdens de zitting werd ook bekend dat er vele strafzaken lopen tegen agenten bij de afdeling Onderzoek Politionele Zaken. Er is algemene informatie verschaft over een aantal afgeronde zaken en anderen die nog lopen en de afgelopen maanden in de media zijn verschenen. Ook de grootste zaken die op de rol zijn bij het Openbaar Ministerie, waaronder de 8 decembermoorden zaak en de rellen van 17 februari van dit jaar, werden genoemd door de waarnemend PG. Ze gaf aan dat het OM haar beste beentje zal voorzetten om de veiligheid te waarborgen, maar het voorval van 17 februari waarbij een vreedzaam protest is uitgelopen tot rellen niet meer mag voorkomen. De vervolgingsambtenaar verschafte verder recente informatie over de case waarbij er op 2 september jongstleden een tweemotorig vliegtuig is aangetroffen op een landingsbaan in Nickerie. Het vliegtuig en een kamp nabij waren uitgebrand. Het gaat om een terrein in het Zuidwesten van het rijstdistrict. Dicht bij de baan zijn er graafmachines aangetroffen en een aantal jerrycans met brandstof. Deze jerrycans zijn ter plaatse vernietigd volgens Niamat. Het onderzoek in deze zaak duurt voort. In verband met de grote drugszaken zijn er volgens de waarnemend pg enkele overlegmomenten geweest met belanghebbende autoriteiten, vooral met de politie en douane.
