Somewhere spring began and I started to tilt my head to the sun, wanting the blue skies and the sea. Wanting the air and the soft kiss of tulips growing. This is the first time in a few weeks I've placed myself on the page. It feels like an eternity. When the pause happens, it is because there is a internal dialogue, a whirlwind tape filled with questions and anxiety and deluge of overwhelm. But then, the moment comes when the pressure to express becomes too great. And I take the pen in my hand and run across the page. It leaps and stumbles, sings in minor, composes sonatas, pulls the mirror up for me to face all of the things I've been avoiding, pulling me out of limbo, pulling me out of the land of notyet. Saving me and healing me and seeing me all at once. The journal as witness. The journal as oracle.
