I feel like there's something here. Something about how society sees men as inherently violent, so when they are ( Nie Mingjue, Jiang Cheng, Xue Yang, Su She) it's kind of treated as "business as usual".
Whereas when a woman is violent, there's this air of "she must have had a good reason" because society treats women as inherently motherly. And if she isn't, then someone else has done something to make her thay way.
She, in no way, should be held responsible for her actions because someone else made her do them.
I dunno. The pressure careened into the marinas trench and my head is currently squished in a vice
Madam Yu stans are a certain kind of pathetic that at times trump her son’s stans, cause what do you mean it’s misogynistic to say that it’s bad for a woman to whip an orphan and want to put him back on the streets because she was jealous of that orphan’s dead mother that she had NO interactions with? What do you mean she had “no agency” because her husband—the stay at home parent in their relationship because she is the one constantly dicking around outside—didn’t think the orphan of his childhood friend should be left on the streets? What do you mean I should see any of this as sympathetic enough to view this evil woman as a hero and underdog and not the scourge on her family that she was???
Apparently feminism is when women abuse children—both her own and others’—and their partners, scarring them for life, but the narration said that she “had a sad reason” so it’s ok.
