Ah, finally, a return to form... it's been a long time since I've gotten to draw some onscreen violence :) I've been looking forward since the very beginning of Rekindled to get my chance to recreate this scene, a fusion of the pilot and Originals version with my own personal twists - and now it's finally here (´｡• ᵕ •｡`) ♡

#i've been waiting for this episode and OOF#one half of me that loves exploring how fucked up alex's trauma is in canon#and another part of me that generally likes whump are both delighted#the other part of me that just wants good things for my boy and was hoping “maybe it won't be quite as bad?” is in despair#but this is great angst op#also extremely excited to see kore's reaction and the overall aftermath of the entire thing on alex#honestly not just worried about alex's mental health but this would definitely mess up kore as well#like she might be upset at him not telling her but that would be overshadowed by a potential guilt complex#i mean it wasn't her fault but guilt complexes tend to be like that sometimes
