[off screen event post! sept 19th] [Cooper is sitting by a campfire at a campsite with Jax (@jax-deluth-and-ai-winstrate ) near the Sword and Shield in the Slumbering Weald. He's cooking some burger patties over the campfire with 10 Feet Tall by Cavetown playing on his phone.

Suddenly, what sounds like very faint footsteps followed by the thwack of a tree branch hitting something can be just barely heard down the path. The muffled voice of a maybe 15yo girl saying "Shit, Ow." is heard immediately after this. Cooper's ears perk up and he turns his music off.

"Hey, did you hear that?"

Jax's ears twitch a little bit, trying to figure out what had made the sound."

"Yeah, I heard it. Could be a lost trainer."

There were some cool pokemon in the forest that he had seen, and it was easy to get lost.

Cooper's ears lower from their raised position a little.

"Yeah, hopefully. The whole stealing thing isn't supposed to happen until tomorrow."

He prods at a burger patty with his spatula and flips it over.

The footsteps get closer, seeming to come from a cluster of bushes with a small passageway at the bottom, barely big enough for a child to crawl through. The footsteps then turned into rustling leaves.

Jax looks at the bushes.

"Okay, this is starting to get a bit scary. HEY, YOU LOST?"

He yelled towards the noise, hoping to get a response. He stands up and grabs his berry bag.

Cooper puts down his spatula and stands up, motioning to his pokemon, who had been playing together on the campgrounds, to come closer and keep their guards up. They all stop what they're doing and make their way over to where Cooper and Jax are standing.

Cooper yells.

"HELLO?"

The leaf rustling gets louder, as a girl struggles from the passageway she was definitely too small to fit through.

She's 5'5ish, with long red hair in two low pony tails and freckles. She looks exasperated as she attempts to pick twigs and leaves out of her hair with one hand, holding a notebook and pen in the other.

"Man, I am NOT small enough for that tunnel anymore."

She pauses, and looks up at Cooper. Shock and anger spreads across her face.

"What the hell are YOU doing here."

Jax whispers quietly

"Okay, not lost, not friendly. Where's Sapphire's pokeball."

He looks at the girl

"Are you talking to me or Cooper?"

He looks at the notebook and pen in her hand.

"Are you a professor's assistant? Or a professor?"

She points at Cooper.

"That's none of your business, skittyboy."

Jax responds.

"Hey, that's Mew to you dipshit! Skittyboy is my boyfriend."

Cooper looks at the girl, confused and surprised.

"Holy shit... Robin? Crystal told me you moved back to Alola when we were 12!"

His ears drop a bit, and he looks at Robin confusedly.

Robin gets visibly angrier, and she balls up her fists.

"I NEVER LEFT! I'VE BEEN HERE THE WHOLE TIME, DON'T GIVE ME THAT BULLSHIT!"

She turns to Jax.

"Also, What."

Jax responds

"Fuck you, you don't get any context for yelling at him! Winstrate!"

Winstrate appears out of Jax's bag.

"HYPER BEAM?"

Jax looks at winstrate.

"What? No, we're not killing anyone. Arc, what is your problem... Just get ready. I don't even know why you where my first choice."

He turns to Cooper.

"Also, do you know this person?"

Cooper's ears drop more, he looks upset.

"She's.. an old friend. We used to play out behind my house when I lived in Alola, and when I moved to Galar, her family moved with us. Then we spent all our time together in this forest. But when I was 12 I asked if I could go out and play with her, and Crystal told me she had moved back to Alola."

Oliver the sylveon looks at Robin. He seems to know her, but he's frightened by her sudden outburst.

Robin only gets angrier.

"THAT'S FUCKING BULLSHIT! YOU KNEW I WAS STILL HERE! YOU WERE MY ONLY FRIEND IN THIS ARCFORSAKEN REGION, AND YOU LEFT ME."

She takes in a deep breath.

"Whatever. I have a job to do here."

Jax turns to Winstrate

"Okay, nevermind Winstrate, you can do whatever."

"FUCK YEAH! SEE YOU IN HELL!"

He fires a hyper beam. And misses.

"Arc damnit. Alright time for Sapphire to come out."

Jax reaches into his bag and throws out a pokeball.

Sapphire the Latios comes out and chirps, not knowing what's going on.

Robin's eyes widen.

"WHAT THE SHIT IS THAT A LATIO-"

She's cut off by a Shadow Ball from Marley the zoroark, knocking her into a pond.

"STOP TRYING TO KILL ME FOR THE LOVE OF ARCEUS"

She reaches into her pocket and removes a pokeball. She releases her incineroar from it.

Cooper runs towards the pond, hoping to stop Robin from doing what he thinks she's going to do.

Winstrate turns towards Jax.

"HEY JAX I'LL GIVE YOU 10 POKE IF YOU WRESTLE THAT INCINEROAR"

"That is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. 15 poke."

"YEAH I CAN DO THAT"

Sapphire gets spooked by all the commotion and hides behind Jax and Winstrate.

Jax readies himself to wrestle the giant cat, knowing damn well he's going to lose.

The incineroar growls, as if to say 'Oh? You're approaching me?'

Cooper jumps into the water and tackles Robin.

"OW- WHAT THE- GET THE FUCK OFF ME!!"

She squirms around and manages to throw him off. She quickly writes something down on her notepad.

Cooper falls back into the water, but quickly gets back up and crouches into a fighting stance.

"Robin, don't do this. You don't know how much destruction you're going to cause if you do. Please."

Meanwhile, Jax tries his best to look intimidating without transforming, but fails. So he just lunges at the incineroar.

"FUCK IT UP JAX! SHOW IT WHO'S THE STRONGER CAT!"

Sapphire is still unaware of what to do, so he heads towards Cooper to see if they need help.

The incineroar uses Flare Blitz, seemingly unfazed by Jax.

Robin turns to Cooper.

"I've got a job to do."

She turns around, and notices sapphire approaching.

"But, I've got everything I need. Hope you don't meet me again, arse-face."

She runs down a path and her incineroar follows.

Cooper watches her go, not fast enough to get to her in time.

"SHIT-!"

It's head whips around, only to see that the Sword and Shield are both safe.

"Wait, then what did she-?"

Jax is regretting not having good physical defense.

"SHIT! Ugh, motherFUCKER! WINSTRATE GIVE ME MY FUCKING 15 POKE!"

"ALRIGHT, ALRIGHT, CALM DOWN! JEEZ, NO NEED TO YELL."

They float over to Jax with his money.]

Ask, and ye shall receive!

Ok, so, Polar Opposites went through a LOT of changes character-wise. Specifically Blizz, because when I wrote him originally, he was the cause of Daisy's depression, he had turned her down VERY rudely, causing Daisy to become VERY insecure about herself (to the point that it was concerning,) it was so awful and made me hate PO! Blizz. So Blizz and Daisy have the most changes to their character.

Also, the "Night" version of Dawn (I forgot what I called her) no longer exists, but has been replaced. Dawn's backstory is also quite different.

Ahem! Now, characters:

Vay: He's very friendly (moreso than his canon counterpart,) and he's a very good cop! He's good at catching criminals! However, he's barely literate (he's basically on a third-grade literacy level,) and he's probably the worst speller around. Because of this, when going through paperwork or reports, he has Split (his deputy) help him. He's also gotten an entire Box police team with him! Despite some of his flaws (barely literate/poor spelling/handwriting,) many of the Icedrop Eevees look up to him as their leader! Vay gets along well with Eve/Evelyn/Lynn and (for the most part) Blizz. Vay also has a crush on Daisy, they hang out a lot! Vay's a little shy about his relationship with Daisy though, haha. (Daisy also helps Vay improve with reading/writing/spelling, she cares about him and wants to help him! She loves him, too. =3)

Blizz: He's pretty smart, but unfortunately, this gives him an ego the size of a Wailord. He has an "everyone else is stupid" mentality and thinks he knows everything (sure, he's smart. But he's not the smartest in the Box, that title goes to Dawn.) Daisy used to like him, but his "I know everything" mentality got on her nerves, so they butt heads from time to time. Blizz isn't very popular with the others, either (Eve and Blizz squabble a lot,) the only person that likes being around Blizz is Dusk, who thinks Blizz is a genius. Some of the others have tried to give Blizz a fair chance, though (Vay and Bolt.)

Eve/Evelyn/Lynn: Eve is about 13 in this AU. Unlike her canon counterpart, Eve is actually pretty independent. The other younger Icedrop kits see her as a leader of sorts. While "Evelyn" is her full first name, only Blizz has ever really referred to her as such, which she hates because she finds it embarrassing. Eve often plays a game with the other kits, or Oliver, pretending to be secret agents, so Eve as an entire "Agent Lynn" persona. She has tried to help Vay catch criminals as "Agent Lynn," but hasn't been very successful. She has an admiration for Dusk (not a crush, though.)

Dawn: She's the smartest out of everyone in the Box, but feels that being the smartest is boring. So she often hangs out with Vay, Daisy, Dusk, or Eve. She has the feeling that there's someone missing, but doesn't really seem bothered. However, she knows Dusk had lost his memories and wishes he had them back. She used to wish that she had lost her memories so Dusk wouldn't have lost them, but she's moved past it and is willing to try to make new memories with Dusk.

Dusk (huge spoilers!): Dusk lost his memories when he was nearly ERASED PERMANENTLY from the Box. He has no recollection of the incident, and had no memory of who he was or who his friends were. Thankfully, everyone else helped Dusk remember who they were, and while they helped Dusk remember a little bit about who he was, there was one memory of Dusk's that simply vanished, as if it never happened. Only one person is aware of that memory. Dusk can also "see" someone, taking on the form of a monochromatic Sylveon with a scarf and broken glasses, but everyone else (except for one person,) thinks he's just Dusk's "imaginary friend."

Daisy: She likes to hang out with Vay! She has a crush on him, though she knows he's shy about it. She's very kind and pretty calm, though Blizz gets on her nerves. In fact, she doesn't like Blizz very much, mainly cause of his "I know everything" attitude, and also because he rudely turned her down when she admitted she liked him. Daisy feels she was better off without Blizz, and hangs out with Vay instead. She doesn't think Blizz is a good influence on Dusk.

Bolt: He's very confident in himself, and likes to pass that confidence on to others! He's very kind and uplifting! He has a crush on Dawn, but he's a little shy about it (Dawn likes him, too. =3) He feels bad that Flame always seems so quiet and distant, though.

(Sorry, no Polar Opposites Scull. I keep forgetting that Scull exists. XP)

Flame: Ever since the "incident" that Dusk was involved in, he's felt that someone is missing. He knows there was someone, a Sylveon, but he doesn't remember. However, he managed to get a strand of fur. He's tried to bring this Sylveon back through cloning, but failed. Many, many times. It even resulted in Flame accidentally cloning himself. Flame is the only one that takes Dusk's "imaginary friend" seriously. He's afraid of loud noises, and the dark.

Solar: Flame's clone created from the strand of Sylveon fur and was accidentally made with Flame's DNA as well. He usually stays in Flame's room with Flame himself, though he does occasionally walk around the Box. Due to being a clone of Flame, he can be easily mistaken for him. The only real difference between the two is that Solar has pink eyes (he also has a purple tongue, for some reason.)

M???/S???: [ERROR: Information not found]

Oliver: Eve's "bodyguard" that Bllizz hired. Eve doesn't really need a bodyguard and can handle herself on her own, but she decided to be friends with Oliver anyways! Oliver is about 2 years older than Eve. He often plays Eve's secret agent game with her, with an "Agent Ollie" persona. Oliver doesn't like being confrontational and can get nervous easily. He has a bit of a crush on Dawn, but part of him knows it wouldn't work out (mainly cause he knows Dawn likes someone else, though, not because of their ages. Dawn's about a year or two older than Oliver, so I don't think it would be that much of a problem if they had gotten together.)

Very interesting.

Honestly all of the characters do sound pretty opposite, except Daisy honestly. Since Flame cloned himself, does that mean in this AU, Flame is smart as well? Cause how can he clone himself otherwise? Are Dawn and Blizz smarter than him?

Anyways.

So Pokémon Scarlet and Violet has an Eevee outbreak event...you know what that means? Shiny hunting time!

Meet Oberron. My 3rd shiny Sylveon...first one I actually caught myself.

Moriko. Who is a shiny I swear.

Bolt.

Glaze, like Leafeon you can barely tell...

Larry. Named after the gym leader who's town I caught him in.

The Master. Who probably should have been a Vaporeon based on the pokeball-colors but I had three shiny Vaporeons already before this event even started...

Rosa... who isn't actually from this outbreak. Because I had three.

Voio. The moon ball failed to catch. Luxury Ball was my second choice.

And Queen the Unrivaled with her two shiny pals, Olive and Nameless Shiny Eevee#9

I spent literal years trying to collect a full set of shiny Eeveelutions before this... starting in gen V with a Vaporeon I got ina trade, and ending in Gen VIII, when I got Leafeon in an outbreak.

This... this took 2 days. For a tip find an outbreak near a city, knock out 60 Eevees, create a normal type sparkling power sandwich (I recommend 1 fried filet, one salty herba mystica and one sweet, spicy or sour herba mystica) and then just walk in and out of the city till a shiny spawns, since they despawn every time you enter a town.

Fairly Long rambles below. Feel free to ignore

Ight so the idea was more fun than i thought, whoever I saw that suggested as a promot hats off this was a lot of fun. And like I have all these pokemon, I've transferred them up and across over the years so I thought why not make them how I think my pokemon actually are, nit only their gender and name but their nature being clear in their body languages.

So in order you have swinestopable the mamoswine, Zoe the sylveon and Elizabeh the aggron. If you tried to guess inordsr of youngest to oldest of have young i was when I first named these pokemon you would be wrong.

I am very happy with swinestopables, desgin it simple, but like it works really well. I could have maybe added a few details or something, like making so the thing around his eyes. wwre actually ski goggles, but I think it came out well.

Zoes design was interesting as I have always thought that thanks to the bow tie, all slveyons are wearing formal attire. So I did like an hour of drawing different formal attire before settling on honestly something rather basic. If I could be arsed to colour it would be colourful but oh well. This is another one that thinks is good and little is to improve than just my drawing capabilities.

Now.. with Elizabeth while I liek it I feel as if she should have been larger ai feel as if her frame and horns are too small for what is meant to be an aggron. But in terms of design, I decided not to do a full suit of armour, and instead, in the pokedex, it says how aggron tend forbtye mountains tehy live on, so I tried to go towards that. Actually, the more I look, she should have been way larger in frame, her hands are so small, augh.. I have done an injustice

So, as stated, I only have 5 main pokemon. The two left are swampert (Nigel) and Groudon (mat). I feel as if groudon will be the harder one to do. As well despite the name for Groudon, the design will be feminine as for YEARS I believed based on lie I was told for catching groudon for the first time that all groudon were female? Like oliver, Henry, why? What's weirder is their logic is that the groudon is red there for a girl?!

Oh well, I. For the 6th pokemon I still have no idea gonna have to do deep reflection. I have too many pokemon that I love equally how to pick for the last spot.

Time to yap about my eeveelution lore

this whole thing is based off of pokemon GO btw

Everyone started out as an eevee! obviously. At first there were only two. The first to evolve was also the eldest of the eevees, akito! He evolved into a sylveon. The second to evolve was the other, who evolved into a glaceon - these two were like older brothers to everyone else, and are practically inseparable. WILL throw hands (feelers? paws?) to protect each other. Also the glaceon is called Ace, they raced each other a lot. The third and fourth eevees were also brought in and taken care of, and so the older brother duo thing started. One evolved into an espeon. these two... basically ALWAYS got into trouble. Sneaking snacks around, breaking stuff with telekenisis, etc. Then a flareon was caught! So current situation, in order of being brought in: Sylveon (Akito), Glaceon (Ace), Espeon (Oliver), Eevee (Levi) and Flareon (Asher, nicknamed firefighter as a joke). Okay! So, because it took a lot of time and effort to take care of so many vees, the trainer only had time for some of the vees at nighttime. This eventually resulted in Levi (eevee) evolving into an umbreon! ...which lead to more espeon-umbreon tag-team telekenisis mayhem. Oftentimes Akito (sylveon) or Ace (glaceon) came to sort it out tho. (But they don't snitch! Just try to stop them and put all the stuff back. Once, Ace got stuck in the fridge and took a nap there after putting away some treats Levi snuck out at night. No one realised until next morning, and left everyone wondering how glaceon biology works. And what about Asher, you may ask? He is a certified good boi :3 very playful and often plays games with everyone else! As a result everyone loves him. And for good reason, he always means the best for everyone. Very pure stuff! After a lot more eevee hunting, another 3 were brought in. On the way back from a walk through a nearby park the second one evolved into a leafeon, which ended up becoming an inside joke as to how quickly he evolved. The other two eevees were more calculated about what they really wanted to be, and after a couple months of more eevee randomness, one evolved into a vaporeon! This was when the trainer decided to instead of taking only 2 or 3 of them on walks at a time, to bring all of them in one go. ...This was a mistake. Two other trainers mistook it for a pokemon battle request, Asher almost burned a couple hedges down by accident, the vaporeon (rainer. yes I used the pokemon go name even though he canonically used a water stone. I'm lazy okay I'm bad at names) snuck into someone's pool and turned into water (took half an hour to get him out. somehow didn't get fined.), Oliver caused all sorts of telekenetic chaos, (tried to lift multiple of the eeveelutions as a prank, he does this often. Except usually it's not more than one, or outside. He missed and accidentally terrorised multiple pokemon and children.)

After all that, it was decided to NEVER EVER EVER bring out all the eeveelutions at once unless it was absolutely necessary.

Anyway! You know the gist, more eevees were caught. So home situation: Akito (sylveon), Ace (glaceon), Oliver (espeon), Levi (umbreon), Asher (Flareon), Rainer (vaporeon), Linen (Leafeon) and Tunner (eevee). So all the eeveelutions and eevee, with the exception of Jolteon.

Hello, hun. My name is Augustine, but please just call me August or Augie. Whichever you like more. I came across your blog not too long ago, and I'd love to ask you some questions if you don't mind. I promise I'm not trying to be rude or start a fight or anything like that. I'm just trying to get a feel for your logic here.

Question 1: I can understand your reluctance for dark, ghost, and psychic types. But why Fairy? They're cute, pink , and honestly sort of an LGBTQ icon. I mean, they can slay literal dragons for Arceus sake.

Question 2: And if said types are evil and act on instinct, why are poison or bug types not considered evil as well? Bugs can destroy plants and crops and poison types. Well, it's in the name.

Question 3: Or what about a pokemon's morality based on pokedex entries? I mean, take, for example, my pokepal for life. His name is Oliver, and he's a Cubone, a ground type. His pokedex entry states that he wears the skull of his dead mum on his head. Kind of brutal, right? And yet he can't fall asleep at night unless he gets swaddled in his favorite blanket, and he hasn't evolved despite his higher level stat. (He is a rescue, so I blame whatever trauma he has been through for that.)

Once again, not trying to attack you or your beliefs. I'm just curious.

1: Fairy types are some of the most dangerous pokemon out there. Hatterene are known to cause deaths just because people are slightly too happy around them, Sylveon strangle whatever they can get their feelers around using their abilities to keep them calm and unable to fight back, Grimmsnarl fake surrender before attacking brutally, Florges will mercilessly attack people who hurt any plants in their garden even if accidentally. These are just some examples. Also, being cute and pink does not inherently make a type an LGBTQ+ icon, and deciding that an entire type or pokemon is queer just because they're pink honestly seems to be playing into harmful stereotypes about all queer people being feminine, flamboyant, and girly.

2: Many bug and poison types actually eat the other pokemon that cause crop failure and issues. Many poison types are also incredibly important for waste removal. Most poison types don't actually harm the environment by simply existing at all. Those that do are few and far away. A single venipede does more to protect crops, hunting harmful bird pokemon like murkrow. Instinct isn't inherently bad. It's that dark types instinctually are evil and cruel.

3: How is a cubone mourning its mother brutal or evil? Do you consider people who display their loved one's ashes brutal, too?

Ermm sorry if it's been asked b4 but any Randal Jade headcanons? :3

I have had a couple posts about headcanons for Randy (these seems to be harder to find but I’ll try to reblog them soon for you to see), but mayhaps I can interest you in some headcanons for AU versions of him? I do have a lot of AUs, a concerning amount, and a lot of them involve Randy.

There is an AU I have written for where Randy is a monster, and Gingi’s sibling, no less, hatched in the same green, rancid pool as them. He spends his time underneath a lake in the woods, which may mean he’s amphibious… or even harder to drown than Gingi.

Monster Randy is also ten and a half feet tall and bipedal. Comparatively, my Gingi is more like a centaur and stands at seven feet. This isn’t sexual dimorphism at play, such drastic differences are normal for their, ahem, “species.”

Monster Randy has mauled at least one person, but he’s normally friendly and even docile, so don’t worry too much!

I also have a Pokémon AU, in which Randy’s little period of being “homeless” is caused by his disappearance during one of the region’s violent thunderstorms. He has a childhood friend and a sort of rival, Oliver who also happens to be the local Pokémon professor’s brother. His starter was a Ghastly named Miel, which evolved into Haunter and eventually Gengar when he gave it away to Oliver. Randy also had an emotional support Sylveon named Sweetheart, but he also gave her to Oliver the night he disappeared.

…So he doesn’t actually have any Pokémon out there in the wild. You might think that’s dangerous, and it definitely is, he’d be as good as dead in any other circumstance, but his saving grace is that wherever he is, it’s rarely visited by other Pokémon. In fact, one may say the grounds he dwells on are sacred.

I haven’t written as much for this AU yet so nothing other than that is set in stone, but I’ve played around with who discovers Randy and how for a bit. The region is also something I made myself!

This isn’t all the “headcanons” I have, but just to start. Can’t give away all my secrets! >:^)

cosmog: i dont think this one needs explanation. hed probably find this lil space baby during his travels and keeps it to study it further! plus its adorable sylveon: i like to imagine that someone as adaptable as the doctor would have one of the eeveelutions! i gave eleven sylveon because theyre both silly, whimsical little guys. sylveon also has a bowtie smeargle: a gift from van gogh :) dartrix: a gift from olive, who primarily works with grass types. she gave him dartrix when he was still a rowlet because they both have bowties as well!! they also have the same hairstyle?? audino: a pokemon with healing abilities for a man named the doctor :3 simple enough i think spoink: silly pokemon for silly guy <3

for olive (with explanations):

litten: her first pokemon. she adopted litten right after college so she wouldnt be lonely :3 (pokemon equivalent of her cat, celeste) bulbasaur: her lil baby. he helps out in the garden and likes to sleep alongside her plants! appletun: a gift from the doctor :3 he gave her appletun when she first opened her bakery! munna: she helps olive by eating her nightmares. she first appeared to olive when the doctor was off fighting in the time war meganium: another little garden helper :3 not only does he help her plants when they're sick or dying, but he also helps olive calm down when her anxiety gets overwhelming maractus: baby #2. protects the garden and likes to go on walks with olive.
