Libber grew up knowing she was a raijū! I imagine them to leave their young to raise themselves, in which its vital for them to be able to use their raijū form, of course. Despite this, they aren't entirely solitary creatures and Libber is a shining example of this. Pack-bonding like no other!!
As for reactions from the other EMs... hm ok here's my first thoughts, in order of when they find out:
Ice: The first to know, of course. He doesn't bat an eye when he walks in on her in her wolf-form tearing up Ray's shoes but he does suggest that she moves the shoes outside where it's easier to blame the damage on a wild animal. Libber thinks he already knew, possibly from the moment they met. She doesn't like that he doesn't let her use 'being a dog' as an excuse to get out of her chores though.
Garmadon: Is in the room when Libber and Ice enter in some kind of light-hearted argument. Libber turns into her wolf-form to try play-fight Ice, forgetting that Garmadon is there. He's offended that Libber told Ice before him (not that she meant to tell either of them!) and then asks a million questions; he had heard of raijū before but never had the chance to meet one in person, so finding out his close friend was one? Hella cool. And then like the prick he is, he buys her a dog toy as a gag present for Christmas. He swears that it was worth it, despite the immediate violence that occurred upon her opening it and the confusion of everyone else in the room (minus Ice).
Maya: The first person that Libber tells by choice. Keeps asking 'are you sure' once Libber comes out. "What do you mean 'are you sure'??? You literally saw me turn into a wolf???" She's a bit confused, but she has the spirit. She also gets Libber a dog toy, but it's in an attempt to be genuinely supportive so Libber just has to suck it up and thank her for it while Garmadon is dying of laughter in the background.
Lilly: Shocked and then not. It makes sense in hindsight, she says. Libber thought she hid it quite well, thank you very much. Lilly is the no 1 fan of Libber's wolf form and will always cuddle her much to Libber's delight. Feeling sad and want physical contact with your friends? Easy, just turn into a dog and you don't even have to ask. Lilly quickly picks up on the fact that Libber does this when she wants comfort and puts all the more effort into giving her the best hugs and pets in the world. In addition to this, when she first finds out she immediately makes the connection that it was Libber who chewed up Ray's shoes and pays her to do so again the next time he annoys her.
Wu: Similar to Maya, when Libber tells him he suddenly second guesses everything, unsure how this changes things. "Can you still eat grapes?" Yes, she can she's been a raijū all her life, of course she can still eat the same foods. "Are you still staying a ninja?" Of course she is! Raijū make the BEST ninja! "Are you offended by the 'bitch' word?" Once again she is forced to accept his attempts to be supportive with a strained smile, even as Garmadon and Lilly (the traitor!!) crack up behind her. He seems more confused than shocked.
Ray: He is TERRIFIED of dogs. This doesn't bode well when he sees one loose inside the monastery. Libber, despite being rudely awoken by his scream, does her best to calm him down (in her human form of course), but he acts wary of her for weeks until he gets it through his head that she's not gonna bite him (unprompted). It's still a tentative relationship when she's in her wolf form, but after a particularly fight with the serpentine, the rest of the team wake one morning to find him holding wolf-her like a plushie while he sleeps. Things are better after that.

Ice is an unspecified eldritch being. He has an uncanny valley effect on humans that unnerves the majority of the team who in turn can't understand how Libber, Garmadon, and Wu don't feel unsettled by him. Eventually, the teams warms up to him, and though no one becomes as close to him as Libber is, everyone knows they can come to him if they want to hex their ex or get a demon exorcised (sometimes these are one and the same).
Libber is a raijū and though this isn't common knowledge when she joins the elemental masters, news quickly spreads; she isn't great at keeping secrets. She DOES bite and Maya learnt this the hard way.

#lowkey playing with the idea of the element of lightning being vital to their existence as theyre lightning based creatures#like a normal raijū is a lot less strong than libber since shes the elemental master of lightning#but when she passes her element down to jay. her natural lightning isnt strong enough for a full grown raijū#maybe the element is passed down in their bloodlines so in addition to raijūs being naturally self sufficient as young#the parent often dies once their child inherits their element#just thoughts though :3#since jay is half human maybe libber has the sense to know he cant raise himself and so she leaves him at a human home#perhaps if she HAD left him alone then he wouldve adapted and figured out his raijū form much sooner#i havent fully fleshed out my characterisations of the past EMs so i had fun figuring them out a little more using this :]#inhuman thundersnow au#ok atp im gonna use the#long post#tag because its getting there i wont lie

yuuta exhibits such previously abandoned, recently adopted dog behavior. incredibly anxious all the time, even though nobody’s out to get him or leave him behind. waits for you to return home or from school or from work excitedly, just to see you when you walk through the door. follows you around senselessly, hovering in your space just for the sake of companionship. initiates affection in prodding ways—starts off next to you, then a hand on your thigh, then deems it safe to lay all the way down, then slowly pushes his head into your lap. gets up whenever you need to get up, and resumes his position as soon as you’re ready. brings you gifts as a sign that he’s thinking of you, and maybe because he likes the affection it brings out in you, maybe because he likes the gentle affirming touches of a hand in his hair or a pinch to his cheek. rests his head on your stomach or his chin on your shoulder when he’s sleepy, stays there, immobile, and will not move unless absolutely necessary. sometimes he gets surprised when he hears you calling for him, there’s a moment of disbelief as he thinks “me? really? you need me?” but it’s very quickly overshadowed by this compulsive need to show up, to please, to do anything for you, which is why he always answers when you call. he doesn’t realize that he has puppygod eyes, especially when he’s excited or confused, but he does and it’s incredible endearing. very reluctant to share your space or attention after a while, considers that to be sacred and he won’t risk being let go or lost again, so as a safety precaution, he keeps himself right by you, waits for you always.

turns out my laptop is broken :(
#angryborzois rambles#im kinda bummed because i really like this one and i really don't want a new one#but my mom says to get a new one#i suggested repair shop but she said buying a new one is way cheaper than that#idk man im attached to this laptop#also theres the fact that i got it in middle school and im attached to everything that happened middle school#this sucks#im gonna miss it#its not really anything major its just the hinge is distorted (its like popping out) and now my whole computer is like weirdly askew#ok well maybe the top part and bottom lid ARE pulling away from each other and the power button is sinking in bc of it but shh#i could still use it...its not like it affects any of the hardware functions...i just have to make sure i don't move my laptop at all#:((#my mom told me to make a backup so im pretty sure shes got her eyes set on a new laptop tho rip#i wonder if the exact same model is on sale maybe#my dad suggested a macbook tho so idek atp#on the bright side ig i could sell the computer parts (or just the whole thing to people who collect that kind of stuff) somewhere....idk

Going through my drafts and i realize i never posted that update about this date i had with this guy last august
#it was a SO FUN but also a complete disaster#i feel bad bc like the first two dates went really well and i was feelin him but i was still like. really not doing good#bc of my job and still getting used the grief at the time so i eas exhausted and trying so hard to mask#anyway that third date we had i was tired i was hurting everywherte for no reason i eas grouchy and yes he still put up with me#which was moreso his anxiety ramping up at my avoidance but we laughed about it later#we were supposed to see a movie but the outdoor theatre he took me to was 4 hours away from my apartment. i didnt bring my phone charger#bc i thought it was the one 30 minutes away so my shit died in the middle of the drive back home. his did too. we were officially lost 4 hrs#away from the city bc we were using google maps up til then. so we were talking otw to the nearest gas station (it was 1am atp)#and i was like Dude im so sorry but i dont think this is gonna work and he was so relieved bc he didnt either#plus he planned to move like a few months later n i wanted sumn a lil longer so we ended up just beim friends afterwards#which was cool bc he was a genuinely neat dude! but we were still lost btw and it was almost 2 so we like#had to share a charger in his minivan charging port and wait til our phones had enough juice to run google again#it was like 5am by the time i got back home i had work later that night and i barely got any sleep#*** if youre out there i hope youre doing ok#i say this like i dont have his snap actually i should hit him up sometime#anyway#mag.txt
