Possibility controversial opinion but it’s my pet peeve when someone makes a post like “Here’s how to eat more vegetables if you’re a picky eater!” and people jump down their throat to tell them how abelist OP is to not address that they have autism/ARFID/allergies or something… like, I don’t think that person is talking down to you, I think they’re probably sharing their experiences in the hopes of helping people with similar experiences. And it’s not universal because there is no such thing as universal advice.

And like, I’m an autistic person with digestive issues and pickiness that ranges from “this isn’t pleasant so I avoid it” to “if this is in my mouth I will spit it out involuntarily and swallowing it makes me feel ill,” so I think I’m allowed to say that I don’t think someone it like, stealing valor from the Real Picky Eaters just because they can palate vegetables by doing some preparation tricks. I don’t think they think you’re stupid because they suggested it in a post, and I kinda think the “UGH THATS SO OBVIOUS DONT YOU THINK I TRIED THAT?!” attitude is pretty mean. They came up with a solution to their own problem and were probably pretty excited to share, I don’t think they need to be punished for that.

Idk, I think it might just be good to remember that not everything other people post on their blogs is directed at you specifically .

i have a theory that a lot of people say acting is "good" when they're emotionally moved by it, and a lot of cishet white people have a lifelong habit of not listening or empathising when minoritised people speak, so minority actors get called "bad" even when they display some pretty fucking amazing technical skill

"Sex" is commonly used to refer to a person's status as a man or woman based on biological factors. interesting to note that 1) the introduction of chromosomal information doesn’t actually provide more “biologically accurate” precision in sex assignment, only a more complex set of administrative and medical instructions on the procedures of assignment, 2) the only concern in sex assignment is maintaining the distinction that “females make babies” and “males penetrate females to induce pregnancy.”

This is why the idea that “sex is biological” or that we can just drill down to find the sex atom of the human body, be that chromosomes or gametes or whatever else, is premised on the notion that sex assignment is simply a record of a self-evident reality, not the construction of the category of sex as the mythological foundation of cis-heterosexual reproduction

but he also refers to Cas as an "it" just hanging around in a vessel strong enough to take on Lucifer (in season 11!! It's not like he said that in s4 or something, it was like 8 years after knowing the guy)

Or in "Regarding Dean," Dean will say to Sam "and our best friend's an angel!"

and then when he's by himself in the mirror, he'll say "and Cast--Cas is my best friend."

mmm throwaway conversation between Dan and Danny that popped into my head that I had to write out:

"You spent ten years being a one-man mass extinction event, then went back in time and fought me, and lost." Danny snarls, arms crossed and throat tight. His mouth pulls back to bare dagger-sharp teeth, and his eyes burn with the familiar thrum of ectoplasm heating up behind his eyes. "If I didn't believe you were half of Vlad before, I do now."

His other self -- and really, can he even call him that? He's half of Vlad too. Two halves severed from each other and welded together to make a new whole, -- snaps his head over to him. Wild-eyed and furious, he looks unlike the man Danny fought before, the one unruffled and untouched, unbothered by the world around him. It's familiar, but not like the way a reflection is.

"What's that supposed to mean." The Other hisses, matching Danny's scowl one-for-one with fangs much bigger and sharper than his.

But there's a reason lions fear hyenas. Danny matches the rumble in The Other's chest with one of his own, and shoves his face close to his. "I don't lose."
