oc-tober day 3: old oc + day 4: (re) design!

i missed these because of work but i really wanted to give a shot at these prompts. these characters have existed in some form for like, at least eight years - even in their most recent iteration, they were a junior hero and a scientist who worked for a supervillain (a setting which my interests have sort of shifted away from). but for some reason i still like to think about them sometimes! they're dear to me.

the reason i'm calling this a redesign is because i had to come up with a large chunk of ellie's design tonight, especially the colors - these two are so old it was before i really drew regularly, so most of their art was just sketches. if you're curious, here's a vague comparison i did earlier this year so you had an idea of what their "old" designs were like. yeah ok :thumbsups:

She's currently without a name but she's a rebel as well as a singer, she often secretly helps jedi and other rebels as well occasionally acting as a spy.

I love names

Like I'm weirdly obsessed with names, it's like a constant thing, we have a bunch of baby name books at home cos when my parents were looking for a name for me way back there was no nameberry yet lol

Every one in a while I'll take one of them and read through it, jotting down names I like.

Naming my characters is always amazing, like there'll be this name and it just clicks and now that's what they're called hehe

When I was younger I'd have favorite names that I had several characters for over YEARS. Here's how that went

Saphira

I vividly remember her having a dragon at some point. I currently also have a character named Saphyra for one of my billion universes I don't have nearly enough time for lol

Elena

This one might have been my longest obsession. Several characters with that name. Currently I have a sorceress/alchemist. I try not to double names for my ocs but my childhood faves usually make it in once at least.

Sarah

So simple, yes, I was obsessed (also it's not that common where I live) Sarah was a giant ostrich hunter once lol (I still have that character but their name is Dale now also the ostriches are Eldritch abominations in this universe okay) Sarah is now the name of one of my superhero characters (she has an invisibility suit) Also she's a cut character from my novel (rip Sarah you didn't make the cut there)

Will

Guy's name? In this economy? And such a simple one again. Will was the rival to Elena from the sorcerer story (He's called Lorcan now) and the best friend character in another story (where he got kidnapped lol) I don't think I have a current character named Will actually. (*Takes note*)

Currently I don't have single name obsessions but I have some of my character names I love a lot, here's some of that.

Mileah "Millie" Weber (Millie my baby)

Fernikah "Nikah" Hewitt (I like nicknames can you tell)

All of my superheroes have dope names (they have aliases too which is the literal best) I think my favorites are Thana and Lux (yes the names Death and Light respectively). Also Teagan who is actually not named after Teagan Earley but I'm not complaining about the coincidence.

Honorable mention for the only name that is doubled in my OC list, Eliza

And ofc I couldn't not mention my baby Marielle :)
