Dear Diary,

Would I get expelled for punching or putting a hex, such as jelly-legs or bat bogey on the next person who calls Hermione the “brightest witch of her age?” Yeah, you’re probably right, I would and though I really want to, it wouldn’t be worth being even more overshadowed by my twin sister.  I mean I am honestly just as good as she is!  We both make excellent grades, and unlike her I actually have a knack for flying, but no one ever sees my achievements. They’ve got their heads too far up Hermione’s arse!  She’s honestly not that likable, and is in fact, as Snape called her “An incessant no-it-all”. Heck, her best friends Ron and Harry (She’s so lucky that Harry Freaking potter pays attention to her)   didn’t even like her until after the troll incident. She’s my sister and I do love her, but I feel like I’m always doomed to be overshadowed by her.

  I thought that coming to Hogwarts would mean that we’d  both get a chance to shine,  in academics, flying,  sports or  whatever but  no, my sister has to  memorized  ever spell, and   be part of the golden trio.  I’m convinced that she only hung out with Harry Freaking Potter because she knew that I have a crush on him.  I just wish he’d look my way once, but he like everyone else is too amazed by Hermione that they can’t even give me the time of day.  But if this twin telepathy thing was real, wouldn’t she know that I like him, and this bothers me or at least introduce me to him? Oh well… that’s life. I wonder if   dark witches and wizards ever felt this way.  Maybe “he who shall not be named” only became evil because he was tired of being overshadowed and bad attention is better than no attention. At least people fear him now I hate myself for having thoughts like this. I don’t want to turn dark, I just won’t know why Hermione is so special, or everyone thinks she is. I’m the one who got sorted into Ravenclaw not her… I blame Harry Freaking Potter and his popularity in the wizarding world for my sister’s popularity

   I look at families like the Weasleys and how they have 7 children but none of them are overshadowed by the others.  Mr. and Mrs. Wesley seem to love them all equally and celebrate all of their accomplishments. I would love that…just once to be noticed to not be overshadow. Maybe the Weasleys will adopt me?   Ok… I’ve rambled on long enough and I’m honestly scaring myself with the thoughts of the dark witches and wizards. I don’t care how much I’m overshadowed… I love Hermione and I’ll never become evil! One day I’ll shine!
