If Ian Bohen was playing Alan Deaton, I’m sure his “shadyness” would all of sudden be sexy! Just say you don’t like that this black man wasn’t written as a prop for the white characters in this show.

Teen Wolf Motel California
So many thoughts about Teen Wolf Motel California
#So like I’m well and truly stoned#But like Boyd#This is like a crazy thing to be the third thing we learn about Vernon Boyd#We know he’s lonely. We know he was/is in ROTC. We know that as a child a CHILD his sister went missing#And they don’t even give us all the information about that! That makes me so mad#And Scott#We’ve been fed hints that Scott feels like a failure for three episodes now#And the kind of vision he get is SO INTERESTING. This vision hasn’t happened yet and while it is something we know he worries about#It’s such a specific situation. Why not Matt? Or Gerard? Why Duecalion? The first two have actually threatened Melissa’s life before#The goal was totally for him to want to kill Deucalion#And there were only 3 more deaths predicted not 4#How much of that was Scott and much of it was the Darach?#And then they put that thought in my head and have Scott consistently throw himself at dangerous situations without further addressing this#Ever again#And Issac#Every other time we see him a panic response#it’s like fight or flight (I can’t remember if those are real or not but for the purpose of language and I’m high I’m using them?)#But this time he freezes#Why#and like the whole thing with Ethan too#Like that just makes really neat implications about whatever the fuck the twin wolf mega wolf thing means#Like who has control? Is it equal? Do they know where Ethan starts and Aidan begins?#But like also I’m high and I don’t think the writers thought this much about this shit before writing this episode#It just gives me so many worms in my brain they are eating my brain oh my god#Teen Wolf

Nah, my cramps are just really bad tonight.” Derek’s face couldn’t get anymore confused than it already was. He was pretty sure, at least. “Cramps?” “Yeah. Dude. My period. Projection at its Finest
---
“He’s so obvious,” Theo snorts, leaning on the counter of the rebuilt Hale home- their pack house- beside Stiles. “It’s embarrassing.”
Taking a sip from his drink, Stiles can’t help but let out an amused scoff. He came into the kitchen to escape Brett and his incessant fucking scenting. He should’ve known better that Theo would follow after him. Stiles has tried flirting with the wolf, but it’s never gotten him anywhere. Theo’s done the same, but he’s never once tried to further it along. The Beta has never been good about people touching Stiles or flirting with him however, outside of the pack that is.
Brett doing both during a Hale and Ito pack meeting might as well have been throwing gasoline on a brush fire.
“Wow, Theo,” he turns to face the wolf. “That’s pretty jealous coming from someone who’s never even tried to ask me out.”
“I’m not jealous,” Theo says the word through gritted teeth. His tone doing wonders at betraying him right now. “I’m being absolutely reasonable. If he wants you so badly, he should talk to Derek and then grow a pair and tell you.”
It takes everything in Stiles to stifle the laugh bubbling in his chest. Biting back his comment? Not so much. “Is that so?” Theo nods, so sure of himself. “Well, it seems to me like he’s not the one who needs to grow a pair, Theo. Come find me when you’re done projecting.” Having no problem rubbing salt in the wound- he’s got his own fair share of them from pining after Theo- Stiles leaves the room, following Brett back into the den with the rest of their packs. He doesn’t want the other wolf, and if he wasn’t so aggravated, he’d feel more madly about using the wolf like this just to get at Theo.
Isaac and Cora have commandeered the love seat for themselves. Erica, Boyd, and Lori are at the couch across the coffee table. Liam and Brett stand off to the side by the unlit fireplace. Satomi’s in the armchair where Derek usually sits, but she’s a guest and therefore gets the best seat in the house. So the spark sits down on the remaining couch beside Derek.
It takes no less than five seconds for Talbot to come and take the empty space beside the spark. “Welcome back, gorgeous,” the wolf whispers.
He offers Satomi’s Beta a small smile before turning to his Alpha. Derek knows how Stiles feels about Theo and supports it fully. But being next in line to take the title of Alpha when Derek decides to step down, Theo has to be the one to initiate the process. So far, he’s done nothing but grow difficult whenever someone gets too close to Stiles. It’s infuriating. Theo comes back from the kitchen, eyes narrowing to slits seeing how close Brett is.
“So what is this meeting for?” Derek asks Satomi now that everyone is back. They’ve been trying to work out a way where they can possibly combine their packs for the betterment of Beacon Hills since Derek became Alpha after Peter’s passing. It seemed the smarter option, rather than just working with one another, but that’s been going smoothly, no other meetings should really be necessary at this point. It’s just a matter of finalizing a date.
The other Alpha places her hands in her lap, looking directly at Stiles. Something she doesn’t typically do. It makes him squirm. “I know that our packs have come to a beautiful alliance and will hopefully be joining soon. But it’s come to my attention that someone would like to join them differently.” Derek’s thick brows rise at her statement as dread pools in Stiles’ gut. “Brett,” she motions towards Derek, “state your piece.”
All eyes in the room turn towards Satomi’s right hand and Alpha in training. Stiles doesn’t like where this is going in the slightest. The spark risks a glance over at Theo, his angry expression from before has turned down right murderous. This is bad. This is very, very bad. Maybe the spark can just drown himself in his lemonade and everything will be fine.
“Derek,” Brett clears his throat, sitting up straight to address the Alpha better. “I would like to have your permission to court Stiles.”
“Wha-” the spark breaks off his exclamation, choking on the liquid that burns like a hot poker in his throat. Why didn’t he just pick up water instead?
Not that it matters, because no sooner are the words out of Brett’s mouth does Theo snarl, “no.”
“Oh shit,” Isaac mumbles under his breath. Cora at his side covering her snicker.
Erica doesn’t even try to stop her cackle.
Stiles’ lungs burn with the urge to cough the harshness from his throat, but he can’t even think, let alone breathe. His eyes darting between the two Betas and Derek. Come on, find your voice dammit. Say something! Even if it’s a choked word, just say it. I. Want Theo. Words, for fuck’s sake, please.
“With all due respect, which isn’t much-”
“Brett,” Satomi scolds.
“-you don’t get a say in this. I formally presented this, it’s up to Derek.” Brett puffs his chest out like the other wolf isn’t growling with golden eyes right now. Yes, this is really fucking bad. His next words seal the deal. “At this point, the only thing you can do is challenge me for him. That’s not a fight you’ll win, Raeken.”
“Oh boy,” Boyd curls Erica closer to him.
Liam and Lori share a look, rolling their eyes over their respective brothers.
Stiles is trying very hard to remember how to speak, or blink, but he’s too stunned to do so. When the fuck did breathing get set to manual? He hasn’t seen Theo this pissed since a wendigo tried to kill Stiles a few years after Derek had turned Theo. The wolf had torn Donovan’s throat out with his teeth in all of three seconds. Brett is in so much trouble it’s not even funny.
Theo growls. Looking to Satomi and Derek for approval. But Brett’s right. Now that the offer to court was made public with their packs, a challenge is the only way Theo stands a chance. Both Alpha’s nod, Derek’s a little more reluctant, but needing to uphold pack formalities. “Don’t be so sure, Talbot,” he sneers just as the other wolf had.
“Don’t you be so sure,” Brett parrots back. “He already smells like me.”
Fuck.
Shit hits the fan; quickly. Stiles barely processes it.
“He’s mine!” Theo roars, Beta shifted and leaping over the back of the couch as Boyd and Erica duck.
Just as Theo is about to tackle the other wolf, Derek scoops Stiles up and all but tosses him onto the loveseat with Isaac and Cora. The former says something, but it falls on deaf ears, the spark can’t look away. A growling ball of limbs, rolling around on the ground fighting for dominance- for Stiles holds all of his concentration. He’s half convinced this is a dream and he’s going to wake up in a cold sweat. Not that he has the faculties to pinch himself to check.
Except that doesn’t happen.
What does, takes a matter of seconds that feel like a lifetime. Brett has Theo on his back and the latter laughs. A thick sound in the back of his throat as though he’s enjoying this. Theo knees the other wolf in the stomach, claws sinking into Brett’s side making him cry out in pain. Suddenly Brett is the one pinned to the ground, Theo still digging his claws into the other wolf’s flesh, his other hand pinching into the skin of his neck.
A killing blow should he see fit. By the set shoulders, dripping fangs, and viciously low snarl, Theo absolutely wants that.
Brett may be nice to look at and may be a pretty decent person, but he’s not Theo. If anyone in this room plainly asked the spark his opinion, he would’ve certainly made his choice in a heartbeat. With that being said, Stiles can’t idly sit by and watch Theo kill the other wolf just because he had the courage to say he wanted Stiles for himself. So the spark, despite Isaac’s shaking head and Cora’s hand holding him, gets to his feet.
“Theo, don’t,” Stiles mumbles more than actually speaks. Because the second the words are out, he realizes his mistake asking to spare Brett. Understanding exactly what Theo would think he was saying. Just how badly his words would be misunderstood.
Burning golden eyes whip towards him, fading back to blue. The hurt is crystal clear in Theo’s face, “you’re choosing him?” The wolf’s hands falter around the other’s neck.
“No,” Stiles shakes his head, “but I can’t let you kill him either. Had either of you bothered to ask me what I wanted, we could’ve easily avoided all of this.”
“Shit,” Brett mutters under his breath, his head thunking to the floor, accepting defeat.
Theo, somehow gracefully, scrambles off the other wolf, “I was going to wait until I became Alpha.” Theo explains, a small smile tugging at his lips as Stiles’ previous words sink in fully. “That way there’d never be a doubt in your mind how serious I am or my abilities to protect you.”
“Pretty sure you just proved to him that you’re more than worthy as a Beta as well,” Liam grumbles, more than likely tired of his older brother’s antics.
“You choose me?” Theo asks, completely ignoring the wolf.
“Can we go somewhere private or do you really want to do this in front of the pack?”
“I don’t care who hears,” Theo smirks.
Meaning Brett who’s now sitting up beside Satomi while she brushes him off. “I tried to tell you that he was spoken for,” she whispers. “I’m sorry, Derek.”
“I’m sorry you almost lost a Beta,” his Alpha responds. “They’ve been in love with each other for years now. I wish I’d known that’s why you were coming, I’d have warned you a little better.”
“Please,” Satomi flashes a sly grin, “I knew the first time I met them. Apparently someone,” she looks pointedly at Brett who hangs his head, “forgot how to use their senses. All of them. Otherwise you’d have smelled that they’re practically mates already.”
“Right here,” Stiles waves his hands, the wolf just shifts closer to him, all too amused.
It’s not like he really hid his feelings for Theo. But being told that literally everyone knew about it and Brett still pulled this is astounding. The other Beta certainly has a pair on him. Without further ado, the spark grabs Theo’s wrist and hauls him upstairs to his room. Once he shuts the door, Stiles waves his hand, a faint purple glow shimmers around the wood encasing them in silence. He crosses his arms with a huff.
“Are you mad at me?”
“No,” the spark pinches the bridge of his nose. “Even though you acted a bit like a jealous brat, no. I’m not mad at you. Why couldn’t you just tell me? I know the rules. You talk to the Alpha and then to me. Why haven’t you?”
“I did,” Theo argues. “I talked to Derek the day he told me that I would be Alpha after him.” That was well over a year ago. “I just was going to wait until then because I had this thought that you’d want me if I was Alpha. Because you’ve never said anything substantial to me either.”
“Because it’s not my place!” The spark lets out an exasperated huff, “that’s not how pack hierarchy works! If a Beta wants to mate with someone, they have to ask their Alpha permission. An emissary doesn’t get that choice, Theo.”
“Neither of us would’ve had to ask for permission if I was Alpha,” the wolf continues on in a soft voice, avoiding eye contact. It’s a very good point and kind of sweet if he thinks about it. Theo giving him the opportunity to have a regular love life. “I guess I wanted to see just how badly you actually wanted me. If it was a mate sort of way or if you just thought I was hot.”
“Oh you are, for sure,” Stiles grins like an idiot at Theo’s faux offense, every ounce of annoyance dispersing. “But you’ve known me pretty much our whole lives, Theo. You know that I care about more than just looks. You saved me from Donovan, you help me take care of my dad, and you were there with me and my mom. As if there could ever be any other choice but you. I knew it when we were nine and didn’t even know what the supernatural-”
Theo kisses him.
God, if there was ever a way to tell Stiles to shut up, that’s it, right there. The spark will literally never be upset about Theo telling him to stop talking if this is how he chooses to silence him. It’s a simple hard press of their lips, but it’s enough.
“Sorry,” the wolf says, gasping for air as though he’d been holding it the whole time. That’s okay, Stiles was too. “You just- I couldn’t- fuck, Stiles. What are you doing to me?”
Blinking hard, the spark grabs the nape of Theo’s neck, “nothing you aren’t doing to me.” Stiles draws the wolf in, slotting their mouths together once more. Leaning into the wolf, eagerly opening his mouth when Theo slides his tongue along his bottom lip, arms wrapping around the spark, bringing their bodies flush. Stiles is screaming on the inside, smiling into their kiss like an idiot because he’s so badly wanted this. Needed this. Needed Theo.
All it took was a jealous outburst from the wolf and they both finally got what they crave.
“I still fully expect to be courted, Raeken,” Stiles breaks their kiss. “Don’t think this means you’re out of being all fluffy and doting,” he teases the wolf, willing to take the mating bite right here and now if he could.
Without even opening his eyes, “I will do anything for you, Stiles,” Theo tells him, drawing the spark in to kiss him until Stiles’ brain shuts down completely.
Neither boy caring about what the pack might be talking about downstairs.

“ you were always my maybe, ya know? ‘maybe they’d finally ask me out.’ ‘maybe when i wasn’t the one looking, they were noticing me too.’ i know it’s silly, but. you were always in the back of my mind. ” - Stiles & Jackson
“Okay,” Jackson says as he strolls into Peter’s apartment.  “This has gone on long enough.”  Stiles freezes with a peanut butter cookie halfway into his mouth and then hastily shoves it, and two more, into his mouth.  “What the hell, Stilinski?”
He has to wait for Stiles to finish chewing the wad of cookies in his mouth so he can respond without spraying the crumbs across Peter’s kitchen island and he takes the time to assess the conflicting mass of scents he’s getting from Stiles.  There’s a smidge of guilt, one that’s kind of always there ever since the Nogitsune happened so the wolves all just tend to let that one go.  It’s almost a baseline anymore, along with being tired and trying to get his ADHD under control with medication, and as strange as it sounds there’s a comfort in knowing it’s there.  Over the base guilt is the sharp spike of guilt that came along with the surprise in his scent when Jackson opened the door, most likely the same guilt that for whatever reason made Stiles jam three cookies into his mouth at once.  There’s the general scent of male and teenager and pack that soothes Jackson’s nerves even as the scent of teenager and hormones and arousal makes his skin itch.
Overall he just smells like Stiles.  Like he’s always smelled ever since Jackson managed to tame the lizard part of his shifting enough to realize that not everyone was an enemy.
“What’s up, Jackson?”  Stiles wipes his mouth on his sleeve and Jackson doesn’t even try to stop himself from rolling his eyes.
“Classy.”
“Shut up.”  Stiles shifts back and forth a few times and Jackson’s nose twitches as Stiles’ scent turns nervous.  A sour kind of nervous.  Like waiting for test results or hearing that an officer got hurt on duty and he hasn’t heard from his dad that day.  “What did you want?  Or need?  Or whatever?”
Before Stiles can start rambling about whatever comes to mind — most likely the history of cookies or a specific recipe that Stiles found for the cookies he’s eating after he had originally been looking for information on rugarus or something — Jackson leans against the island opposite from Stiles and lets out a breath.
“This has gone on long enough.”
Stiles laughs nervously.  “What has?  Me eating cookies alone in Peter’s apartment?”
“You avoiding me.  You hiding away in Peter’s apartment.  You pretending that we haven’t spent literal hours talking to each other on the phone when we can’t sleep.  You sending me to voicemail instead of answering.” Stiles’ eyes are growing wider with each sentence out of his mouth and this wasn’t quite the way he had planned on this going but now that he’s started talking Jackson can’t seem to make himself stop.  “You suddenly acting like you’re not the closest thing to a best friend I have anymore.”  He takes a deep breath.   “And me acting like it’s not killing me to lose you.”
Stiles just stares at him, so still that if it wasn’t for the fact Jackson can hear his heart beating wildly in his chest he would think Stiles had been turned to stone or something.  He has no idea what to do now.  Whatever he had planned on saying, whatever he had planned on doing once he opened the door, it’s all lost now.  Buried under the pile of words he’d just dropped to the ground at Stiles’ feet.
“I don’t know when it happened for sure.  I never imagined the day that you lured me into the back of your jeep under the pretense we were all going out for Thai food so you could actually break in here that I would be here some day.  That I would feel better when I could see you.  That your scent would bring me more comfort than my favorite food.  That knowing you — and Boyd and Erica and Peter but you especially — were okay would be the most important thing on my mind in a fight.  But it happened.  It happened and you’re the cause of it and the fact you’re also the one pulling all of that out of my hands is… I can’t even describe it.  But it sucks so much.”
Stiles licks his lips and takes a few breaths, eyes darting around like there might be something in the apartment to use as a distraction.  But then his shoulders drop and he leans heavily against the island and meets Jackson’s gaze.
“I was in love with Lydia forever.  Everyone knows that.”  He has no idea where this is going but he nods because everyone did know that.  Stiles did not make it a secret at all.  “I teased and poked and flirted with Danny.  Even though I knew it would never go anywhere.  Even if I was attractive to gay men he made it clear I wasn’t attractive to him.  Which is fine.  I dated Malia for a bit.  Even managed to go out a couple times with Lydia.  You know all of this.”  He nods again.  “But through all of that you were there.  You’ve been an asshole.  A jerk.  A typical high school bully.  But you’ve also saved my ass more times than I can count.  You’ve talked me down from panic attacks and helped me rewrite my college essays when my computer crashed and I lost them all the day before they were due.  So no matter who else I might have looked at you were there.  And, well.”  Stiles takes a deep, deep breath and lets it out so slowly it feels like time stops.  “You were always my maybe, you know?  Like.  Maybe he’ll finally ask me out.  Maybe when I wasn’t busy looking at him, he was finally noticing me.  Just.  Yeah.  I know it’s silly but it was you.  You were always in the back of my mind.”
“So what’s with all of this?” he asks when he finally processes all of Stiles’ words.  “What’s with the wallowing and pouting and acting like talking to me physically pains you?”
“Because it does!  Knowing that I’m talking to my best friend and he’s never going to be anything but my best friend sucks so much because I love you!”
“Yeah, so?  I love you too, idiot!  Why do you think it’s pissing me off so much that you’ve stopped talking to me?”
Stiles stares at him, eyes wide, and Jackson takes a deep breath and can’t help but notice the sharp scent of nervousness.  Not the sickly sour smell that makes his wolf want to curl around Stiles and protect him but the sharp sweet one that makes him think of things like Stiles managing to sneak off with Peter’s keys and copy them in secret and Erica showing up with Stiles’ favorite brownies and the smile on his face when Sheriff Stilinski claps any of them on the shoulder and tells them he’s proud of them for something.
“You love me?”
Jackson shakes his head.  “Of course I love you,” he sighs.  “I wouldn’t put up with so much of your shit if I didn’t, Stilinski.”
“Yeah, well, you’re not exactly the poster child of normal, healthy emotions, Whittemore, so shut up and come over here and kiss me or something.”
“Sorry, man.  I don’t kiss my friends.”  Stiles narrows his eyes at Jackson.  “I’ll only kiss my girlfriend.  Or boyfriend.”
“Then get your ass over here, boyfriend, and kiss me.”
“You asking me on a date, Stilinski?”
“I’m asking you on all the dates, Whittemore.  From now ‘til forever and all that shit.”
Jackson slides around the island and pulls Stiles into his arms.  “I think I can handle that,” he whispers as Stiles’ eyes flutter shut.
“Good,” Stiles whispers back.

You could feel the dried tears on your face, new ones forming while you sat in your seat, head leaned against the back of the seat in front of you. You could hear Isaac and Boyd sitting behind you, whispering to each other softly. You could still hear screams echoing in your ear, all the pain from what happened.
“(Y/N),” Stiles slid himself next to you, hitting your shoulder as you glared at him, your eyes glowing purple.
“What do you want?” your teeth were clenched with anger as you looked at him.
“I just wanted to check on you. Are you okay?” he asked softly.
“I’d be better if you didn’t force me to come to this stupid meet,” you replied, digging your nails into your palm. Your hand was bleeding, you could feel it.
“So… what’s that on a scale of one to ten?” you glared at him, as he gave you a fearful look, shaking his head as he left you alone.
He was gone. Derek was dead.
---
“We just have to get Deucalion. The rest of them won’t come after us,” Peter explained the plan, while you, Derek, Cora, Boyd, and Scott leaned against the table, looking at a map of the building’s layout.
“Why do all your plans have to end with killing someone? There’s always another way,” Scott asked softly, looking up at you.
“We have to get them before they get us. I know violence is never the answer, but we have to,” you explained.
You saw as Derek, Cora, and Peter all looked at you. You were never one to go along with death.
“Well, does anyone have an actual plan?” Scott asked.
“Yeah, here…”
---
Stiles somehow convinced you to come on this trip with them, for a lacrosse meet, in an attempt to get your mind off of things. Coach needed a volunteer or assistant, and he volunteered you.
Isaac sat next to you in silence, wrapping his arms around you as he held you tightly. You stayed still, your breath shallow as you froze. You wanted to kill him. You wanted to make Ethan pay. But you couldn’t. Not yet at least, you were all trapped in the bus.
“He’s dead,” your voice broke as you leaned against Isaac, closing your eyes as your tears fell.
“I’m gonna kill him,” you turned your head, glaring at Ethan.
You knew Boyd would be on the plan with you.
“What? No, (Y/N),” Isaac warned, putting his hand on your shoulder.
“Give me one good reason why I shouldn't,” your eyes glowed purple as Isaac tensed.
“God, (Y/N). It wasn’t his fault,” Isaac looked around, making sure no one was paying attention to you.
“Yes, it was. We should kill them before they kill us. Make them pay for killing…” your voice drifted off, unable to say his name.
“(Y/N), no. It’s a dumb idea. It’s a suicide mission. If you kill him, they’ll come after you. You’ll die too,” Isaac said.
“Let them fucking come then,” you stood up from your seat, eyes purple, as Scott stood in front of you, stopping you.
“Scott, move. Now,” the two of them looked at you, anger radiating off of you.
“No,” his eyes glowed yellow as he looked at you.
“He needs to pay,” you said.
“Fine. Tell me then. Tell me your genius plan, to kill him in front of everyone on this bus. What are you gonna do after that, huh?” Scott questioned you as your eyes reverted to their normal color, pausing as you looked at Scott.
He was right.
You took a deep breath, sitting down again as you buried yourself into your arms, leaning against the window.
---
You used your remaining power to hold Ennis down, struggling before you swung your leg, kicking him back. He stumbled backward, you could hear him wheezing before hearing a pained roar, instantly recognizing Cora.
Your attention was taken away from Ennis, seeing Kali holding Cora down as you clenched your jaw in fear of losing her all over again.
“Dis,” you used your powers to push Kali away from her, before Ennis pushed you down, immediately standing over you.
Your heart was beating fast, he swung his fist into your stomach as you groaned loudly, scrunching your eyes in pain.
He roared loudly, you could feel blood dripping from your previous wounds before he pulled you up slightly, aiming for your face.
Your breath was hitched in your throat, your eyes glowing purple before he hit your face.
You cried out in pain, his grip on you tightening before you heard Derek roar, taking Ennis’ attention off of you.
You saw Derek run towards him, pushing him off of you.
He reached for your hand, pulling you up before Ennis wrapped his arms around him.
Derek pushed his head back, hitting Ennis in the face before he stumbled back, grabbing ahold of Derek. Your eyes widened, seeing them fall backward as a loud cry fell from your lips.
Before you could run to the edge of the building, Isaac wrapped his arms around you, holding you back.
“No!” you cried loudly, struggling against Isaac before using your powers to push away from him.
You ran to the edge, looking down as you froze, tears immediately streaming down your face as you looked down at Derek’s body.
--
You shook your head, getting distracted as you heard Coach call your name.
“Yeah?” you wiped your face as you stood up.
“Oh, don’t tell me you too,” he groaned, as you looked at Jared, sitting in the front, nauseous.
“No, sir, I’m fine,” you shook your head.
“Screw this traffic, we’re gonna miss the meet,” he complained.
You took a deep breath, sitting down once again.
As you sat down, you saw Boyd sit next to you, as you rolled your eyes.
“If you’re here to talk to me-” you began, clenching your jaw in annoyance.
“I’m not. Isaac’s annoying the crap out of me,” he said.
“Well, that’s Isaac for you,” you sighed as you leaned against the window, staring out at the traffic, before noticing a familiar car, a few cars down the road.
It was Allison and Lydia.
You rolled your eyes, looking ahead again.
“I’m gonna go crazy on this bus,” you muttered to yourself.
“Then let’s talk,” Boyd turned, facing you as you lifted your head.
“About what?” you asked.
“I don’t even know that much about you. You don’t know that much about me,” he shrugged.
“Yeah, you’re right. I’ll ask you a question then you ask me one,” you said, crossing your legs as you turned to him.
He nodded as you started.
“Any siblings?” you asked.
“I used to have a sister,” he answered.
Your face softened as you gave him a sorrowful look.
“I’m sorry for your loss,” you said softly.
“It’s fine. It was a long time ago. What about you?” he asked.
“No, I don’t have any. Cora was like my sister anyway so I didn't need anyone else,” you replied.
The two of you continued asking each other questions, as you saw Stiles yell at Coach while Coach blew his whistle repeatedly.
“Stiles, what the hell are you yelling at?” you asked, annoyed.
“We need to pull over,” Stiles responded.
“Why?” you asked.
“Because…” he paused, looking around at everyone looking at him.
“Scott… has to pee,” he said.
You raised an eyebrow, looking at Scott.
“No I don’t,” his eyes widened as he shook his head.
You crossed your arms as you continued to glare at the two of them.
“Yes, he does. He told me,” you watched as the two of them glared at each other, communicating.
You rolled your eyes, sitting back down next to Boyd.
“How do you deal with it?” he asked, referring to Stiles.
“It is a little pest. Once you get it, it never leaves you,” a few seconds later, your face dropped, smelling vomit spreading around the bus as you gagged.
“Oh my god,” you held in your gags.
“Jared just threw up.”
---
You clenched your fist, standing outside the bus, along with the rest of them as you glared at Ethan.
You could make it look like an accident.
Your eyes glowed purple as you recited a spell softly.
“Suffocant,” you watched as you clenched your fist, Ethan pausing as he talked to Danny.
“Are you okay?” Danny asked him.
His eyes widened, as he struggled to breathe.
But you didn't care. He deserved it.
“(Y/N)!” Stiles and Lydia ran to either side of you, breaking the spell as you turned to look at them.
You heard Ethan gasp for air, as Stiles gave you a concerned look, looking at Ethan, then back at you.
“We need your help.”
---
“Why didn't you tell me before?” you ran into the bathroom, Stiles and Lydia following closely behind while Allison’s shaking figure sat in front of Scott.
“H-He’s… He’s not opening his eyes,” she cried.
Your face immediately dropped, feeling tears rush to your eyes as you ran to Scott, dropping to your knees.
You weren't gonna let him die. Derek was gone, you couldn't lose him too.
“Scott,” you held his hand.
“Sana,” your voice broke as your eyes glowed purple, putting your hand over Scott’s wound as he wheezed softly.
“Sana,” you repeated, sniffling as his wound began to heal slightly.
“Why didn't you tell me?” you asked him.
“You’re already hurting about Derek, I didn't want to make it any worse,” he replied, leaning against you.
“Scott, the only thing that could've hurt me would be losing you,” you said.
“He's gone, (Y/N),” a tear fell from your face as you looked at Scott.
“I know,” you said, your voice barely above a whisper.
“It's all my fault,” he gave you a pained look.
“No, it wasn’t. It’s not your fault at all. C’mon, I’ll help you up,” you took his arm and helped him up, as he limped slightly, holding onto you.
You saw as Stiles, Lydia and Allison all gave you a look, feeling pity for you.
The five of you walked out of the bathroom, eyes widened as you watched Isaac punching Ethan, while Ethan stayed on the ground.
People yelled all around him, trying to stop him.
“Isaac,” Scott ran to him, trying to stop him as Isaac ignored Scott.
“Isaac,” you walked to him.
“Isaac!” you yelled, as he froze, eyes red as he looked at you.
“Let him go,” you put your arm on Isaac, pulling him away from everyone.
Isaac buried his head in your chest, wrapping his arms around you tightly.
You felt a wave of emotions hitting you, feeling your heart aching in your chest, tears rushing down your face, feeling it all. Feeling the pain of the loss.
“D-Derek’s dead,” your voice broke as you cried, holding onto Isaac tightly.
“He’s dead,” you repeated, holding back a loud sob.
---
“Derek, just listen to me. Just talk to me, please,” you yelled as you ran after him, following him down the stairs.
“(Y/N), there’s nothing to talk about,” he replied, sighing.
“What did you say to Isaac? What did you do to Isaac? He’s crying himself to sleep every night, he has nightmares. Derek, just stop and look at me!” you pulled on his arm, stopping him as he looked at you, before looking down.
“Will you leave it, please? I’m not proud of what I did, I made a mistake. But he’s better off staying with you,” Derek explained softly.
You let out a small breath, letting go of Derek as you turned away from him.
“I wish we could go back to the summer,” you muttered to yourself, eyes watering slightly.
“What? You mean the summer we spent hunting for our friends and trying to hope they're alive?” he raised his eyebrow, crossing his arms.
“I’m not talking about that! I'm talking about when we were good, when we didn't have any problems, when you old trust me, when you cared about me-” you stopped yourself, taking a few breaths as you closed your eyes.
“Hey,” Derek called, as you ignored him.
“Hey,” he said again, putting his hand on your shoulder.
You turned to him, wiping your eyes as you looked up at him.
“Don’t think that I don’t love you. Don’t think, for one second, that I ever stopped loving you, or ever will stop loving you. I didn’t mean to make you feel like that. I’m sorry,” he put his hand on your cheek, stroking it softly.
“How about we talk after we kill Deucalion?” he asked softly.
You nodded your head, avoiding eye contact with him as he kissed your forehead.
“I love you,” he said.
“Come on, everyone’s gonna be waiting for us,” you turned your back to him as you walked out of the loft, wrapping your arms around yourself.
---
You held onto Isaac, sitting with him on the bus as you sobbed softly, remembering your last conversation with Derek.
I love you too, Derek

it's 12 am (almost), im supposed to go to sleep but i'm going to assign each tw character a song from my playlist on spotify.
Scott McCall - Something Real by Lameboysharp Why? The beat just really reminds me of Scott, especially the last bit. Usually I don’t really tune in to the lyrics and that was the case with this song so the lyrics got nothing to do with this song being associated with Scott.
Stiles Stilinski - Freaks by Surf Curse Why? The freaking guitar thing. It’s Stiles, I cannot argue with my brain, it will not change its mind? Anyways, Stiles is an alt-kid at heart, that is my hc about him. Yes, the lyrics are pretty dark, but it reminds me of s3b stiles so I guess it relates? Idk it was the lyric tune out case for me here as well.
Derek Hale - WHY AM I STILL IN LA by Joji (ft. Shlohmo & D33J) Why? The somber notes and Joji’s vocals just give me Derek vibes. And don’t get me started on the sick guitar and drums bit, it’s so strong and loud compared to the rest of the song I love to think it would be Derek’s internal turmoil since the poor dude has so much trauma. :(
Lydia Martin - Trigger Of Love by JAWNY Why? Cause she got the gun and the trigger is of love. Also because, almost everytime this song plays, I think of her. The chorus is the only part where the lyrics have been thought of, so the rest of the song lyrics would not particularly match her, but shhh, it’s the vibe that counts.
Jackson Whittemore - sex money feelings die (slowed) by Lykke Li Why? I have absolutely no idea, but my brain decided it and I find it reasonable as well.
Isaac Lahey - The Loser by Zach Farache Why? Someone used this in a scisaac edit on instagram and ever since then I’ve associated the song to Isaac. The ukulele and lyrics (there are only 2) but they give me Isaac vibes sooo yeah.
Vernon Boyd - Kids by Current Joys Why? Reminds me of him and his introduced but deeply unvalued and unused storyline of him and his sister. #Boyd Deserved Better!!! The very simple instrumental of it just gives the right calm but steady vibes of the Boyd we see on the screen. (if you know what i mean that)
Malia Tate - I Can’t Handle Change by R.O.A.R. Why? The instrumental. Another horribly depressing song, that’s a common trope? genre? in my playlist for some reason. But the instrumental is what got me thinking about Malia. And then the ascending tone after the bridge? I think, it's weirdly giving me Malia vibes. And the whole instrumental thing at the start and end too.
Theo Raeken - striptease by carwash Why? I. Watched. One. (1). Edit. Of. Cute. Sleepy. Theo. With. This. Song. As. The. Audio. And. Now. This. Song. Is. Theo’s. Song. Period. alsothesongslaps.
Corey Bryant - welcome and goodbye by Dream, Ivory Why? The guitar that plays through the song, bam Corey vibes. And I’m not sure if the lyrics give me Corey vibes or not, so take that as a yes?
Yes, send me an ask of any character you want my “songinion” (song-opinion) on and I will probably do it.

~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~
The pack stood around the living room, still in shock at the information that Kate had given them. Her terms were, they had to agree on letting her go if they wanted to get the location where their friend was at. Kate had seemed truthful enough the pack had to take what they were given. The wolves decided to go by foot, since they'd be faster and Lydia and Stiles went in her car. Once they were on the road Stiles stared at the piece of paper with the number that Kate had given them. She had said that that's how they'd get their proof if [Y/N] was alive or not.
Lydia noticed his hesitation and placed a hand on his that was holding the slip of paper, “I know. But we have to do it. We have to bring her home,” she paused. “Even if we’re too late.”
[Y/N] had started to come to from an odd sound ringing loudly by her ears. Her head was throbbing and the sound wasn’t helping. The movements on her eyes made her head pound more so [Y/N] decided for her head to calm down a bit before trying them again. The floor felt different. It wasn't concrete like it normally was. This was rough, but smooth. She tried opening her eyes again but realized that wherever she was, was just dark with no such thing as a light source. She leaned forward a bit to get up but instantly regretted it as her head made contact with something hard. [Y/N] lifted her arms instead slowly this time but came in contact with the hard object just a few inches above her.
Trying to figure out what was happening and where she was, the ringing sound from earlier had come on again. She felt around and patted her body and found a small object in one of her jean’s pockets. A phone. It was a small silver flip phone and the small screen glowed a random number. Flipping it open, the call was answered.
"H-hello?" she shakingly spoke.
"[Y/N]? [Y/N] is that you?" the voice said quickly.
[Y/N] was so confused but answered anyway. "Yeah, who is this? What do you want?"
Wherever she was at didn't seem to have much room for her. The small phone produced enough light for her to shine around. Then she paused at the reply the voice gave.
"Oh my God. [Y/N] it's Stiles, we're coming to get you," Stiles? Get her? We who? Where the hell even was she.
With the close proximity she was in, she was still able to hear the phone while shining the light around. Wood. This was all wood. Was she in a box. They had trapped her in a box this time. Great. She tried kicking it open with her feet, but she was too compacted, there wasn't enough room to get a good enough momentum to do much damage.
"Hey, are you still there? What's that sound?" Stiles’ voice rang out from the phone again.
She groaned and let her head drop back against the wooden floor.
"They locked me in a wooden box. I can't get out, it's too small."
There were some mumbles on the other end of the line, but she couldn't quite make out what they were saying. Until there was a sigh and the voice was directed back to her.
"Ok [Y/N] don't panic. You're going to be just fine. We're on our way to get you."
"Stiles do you know where am I? I don't even know where I am and I'm in a box," she let out a hard kick and a bit of dirt was let in through the cracks.
"What the hell?" She whispered but Stiles was able to hear it.
"Um, ok. There's no easy way to say this but don't freak ok," there was a small pause. "Kate buried you underground."
[Y/N] froze as she was about to give out another kick. Buried? She was buried? The small box, the dirt, the wood. Oh my god.
She was in a coffin.
Her heart began to race and her breathing started to come out in small gasps. She felt like she was about to pass out, but she pushed that thought away. The phone slipped out of her grasp and fell beside her head as she gripped her hair in her hands.
No, no, no. This cannot be happening to her. Not this. Anything but this.
"-[Y/N]. Focus on my voice. [Y/N], c'mon [Y/N/N]."
Fortunately, the call didn't end and Stiles tried to get her attention back on him.
"S-stiles. I-i can't br-eath." She gasped in every word she spoke.
Stiles glanced at Lydia in the driver seat with wide eyes as her grip tightened around the steering wheel. The banshee stepped on the gas a little more, keeping focus on the road. Lydia couldn’t afford to lose it while behind the wheel. If something were to happen to them, then what good would that do in finding and helping [Y/N]. Stiles was starting to panic himself but he tried to push it down and focus on trying to get his friend to calm down.
"[Y/N], I need you to close your eyes and take in a deep breath and let it out when I tell you to, ok."
"I c-can't."
"Yes, you can. I'm right here with you. I'm not going anywhere. Scott and the others are on foot, they'll be there before you know it. But I need you to calm down for me ok?"
[Y/N] closed her eyes and placed her right hand over her heart to try and slow it down a bit.
"Ok."
Stiles let out a small sigh and reassured Lydia that everything was ok.
"Alright breathe in," he heard an intake and waited a few seconds before continuing, "breathe out," and then there was an exhale. This went out for a few minutes till [Y/N] told him she was ok for the time being.
It was quiet on [Y/N]'s end but Stiles let her know he was still there and he knew she was too by the sound of her breathing.
-
Derek was taking the lead. The others were behind him close by, but he was slightly faster than them. It could have been the alpha spark in him, or the anger that he was feeling towards Kate and her men. Whatever it was, he was glad it was giving him strength to keep pushing towards the girl.
He was lost in thought when he took in a familiar scent.
"Stop." He motioned the others to hold their position.
"You smell that?"
Scott was confused but took a whiff of the air around him as did the other wolves.
Peter broke the silence, "It's faint, but it's her. It's [Y/N]."
Derek gave him a nod.
"We must be getting close to her" Commented Isaac.
They concentrated on her scent to decide what direction they should head in next.
"This way. Let's go," Derek motioned them to follow.
The further in the woods they got, the stronger her scent got. They had thought this was a win for them. They were so close to saving her. Having her near them again. That is until they got to the clearing.
"What the hell?" Erica gasped.
It was an open field with a bunch of freshly dug up holes. Each pile had a shovel stacked on top with a piece of clothing belonging to their friend attached to the handles. Her scent was everywhere. No wonder it was so strong.
"How are we supposed to know which one she's in now?" Boyd questioned.
Derek rubbed a hand across his forehead and let out a frustrated sigh. Knowing Kate, he knew she wouldn’t have made it so easy to rescue [Y/N].
"Scott, call Lydia,"
-
There was ringing coming from Lydia's phone in the cup holder indicating she was getting a call. Lydia gave him the go ahead to answer it since she was driving.
He put the call on speaker and held it in between the both of them.
“We're here. Did you get a hold of her yet?” Scott's voice rang through the car.
“Yeah we did, she's fine for now,” Lydia assured him.
There was a sigh of relief on the other end.
“Ok that's good but we have another problem now. The field we're at is surrounded by a bunch of piles of dirt with her scent at each one. We don't know which one she's at.”
“Stiles,” it was Peter. “Tell her to make some kind of noise if she can. We might be able to hear her if she's not too far below.”
Stiles mumbled an ok and returned to his call with [Y/N], "Hey [Y/N/N], the others are at the field where you are. I don't know how far below you are, but can you make some sort of sound for them to hear you?"
"Y-yeah. I can-n try."
"Ok, as loud as you can [Y/N]."
She set the phone beside her head and balled her hands into fist and began to bang the roof of the coffin. The dirt was starting to make way in through the cracks more. Her bare feet started to ache as kicked with them as well, she's sure there were some blood stains at the end now.
Peter handed back the phone to Scott and told him to keep the line open.
The wolves split up and walked around the piles and concentrated on listening for any sound that would let them know which one their friend was trapped in.
"Stiles I can't do it anymore," [Y/N] spoke through her end slightly out of breath.
"Just a little longer [Y/N/N], we're so close," Stiles reassured her.
Lydia's grip on the wheel began to tighten more if that was possible. She took her phone out of Stiles’ grip and spoke.
"Scott anything? I don't think she can hold out much longer."
Scott sighed, "We're trying but I think she's too far down."
She glanced at Stiles, knowing that he heard his best friend.
Derek was about to pull the plug and tell them to dig up every patch there was. He would not stop till they found her. Dead or alive.
"Guys, over here. I think I've got her."
Everyone turned to Erica's call. They hadn't realized how big the patches extended to. Erica was at the other end of the field and kneeled down closer to the pile of dirt she was at.
Right at that moment, Lydia's car pulled up to the field.
"Oh my god," Lydia breathed out. It looked like a scene straight out of a horror movie. God, she really hoped there weren’t any other bodies below those piles. The two jumped out of the car and ran straight towards where the others seemed to be heading.
"[Y/N], another sound I think we’ve got you," Stiles spoke into the phone as he ran.
[Y/N] sighed. She was sweaty and out of breath from all that banging, plus the oxygen was slipping past her quickly from all her movements in the coffin. Not to mention, small dirt piles had begun to form on and around her from dirt that had fallen through the cracks. Closing her eyes, [Y/N] pictured all her friends laughing and having fun. Their smiles shining brightly, a small memory flashing before her with each one, trying to muster up what little strength she had left in her to give it another go. Until a certain one’s made her heart skip a beat. Derek.
If what Kate had said was true about [Y/N] being Derek’s weakness, then Derek was [Y/N]’s as well. She couldn’t recall when the exact moment she realized her feelings towards the Alpha had blossomed, but they were real. Her heart would race a little when she caught sight of him, her stomach did backflips when he would make contact with her skin whether it be in passing or while training. Her breath would hitch slightly when he would suddenly appear in the room or beside her. Every feeling you could think of, she had felt. [Y/N] hadn’t tried to hide her feelings but she hadn’t tried to make them known either, they were just there. And if the pack had caught a whiff of them, they didn’t mention them to her.
[Y/N] scrunched up her eyebrows and gathered up the little strength she had left. C’mon [Y/N], you can do it. Derek taught us to fight till our last dying breath, and that’s what you’re going to do.
She began to punch and kick harder this time, trying to make as much noise as she could. The last kick she made was too hard. It caused a board at the end by her feet to loosen and break, letting dirt completely cover her below the knees.
“Fuck, that’s not good,” she muttered.
The others above ground arrived just as Erica was able to confirm that she was able to hear banging below the pile. Derek grabbed the shovel from the pile and began to dig. Boyd jumped in with one of the surrounding shovels and quickly began to help the Alpha.
“Stiles, a board broke and more dirt fell through. I can’t anymore,” Her voice came out softly through the phone as small tears began to well up in her eyes.
“It’s ok [Y/N], just hold on a bit longer. We’re digging you up right now,” the boy ran a hand along his forehead as he gripped the phone tightly in the other.
“I’m so tired.” With that [Y/N]’s eyes closed.
Stiles’ eyes widened, “No, no, no. C’mon stay awake. [Y/N]?” But there was no reply from her end. “Guys, I think she passed out.”
Derek pushed even more, every breath he took he shoved the shovel even deeper, trying to get enough out of the grave. Suddenly, the tool made contact with something hard. Derek called out, “I GOT HER!”
He tossed the shovel aside and kneeled down on the wooden box as he quickly began to brush the dirt away. He tried looking for some sort of handle to open it but there was none, it was all nailed down. With no other choice he balled up his fist and let it fall through the box. His eyes glowed as he began to tear away wooden boards determined to reach her, and there she was. Her hair was all tangled and scattered around her face. She had black smudges from the sweat and dirt coming together. Derek made a big enough gap and carefully began to pull up [Y/N]’s body through. Peter and Scott reached down and helped pull her above ground onto the grass. Lydia kneeled down beside her, brushing away the girl’s face and dusting off some dirt from her face. [Y/N]’s skin was a bit cold compared to the others.
“There’s a blanket in the backseat of my car,” Lydia said to no one specific but Isaac ran to get it.
“She’s still alive, she’s ok. Just passed out,” Peter informed them.
Derek was still in the grave, it reached up to his waist while standing on top of the box, he had his head hung low as he leaned on the grass for support. He focused his hearing on just her and sighed in relief. [Y/N] was still breathing, it was faint but began to regulate itself as she breathed in more of the open air, and her heart was steady as well. The fear of almost losing her was a terrible feeling for him. God. He understood what Kate had meant now. It was the not knowing. Not knowing if he and the others would make it to her in time. Not knowing if she was alive or not. Not knowing if he would ever get to see her again, her smile, hear her laugh at some joke one of the pack members had told her, feel her hugs. The not knowing was truly the worst.
“[Y/N]? Can you hear me?” Lydia gently spoke to her. [Y/N] had begun to stir and grumble in her place. The others gathered closer but still left enough space for her to not feel suffocated. [Y/N]’s eyes fluttered open and saw spots of black and red. She blinked a few times to adjust her eyesight and the black and red spots could now be recognized as the night sky and Lydia’s red hair. I’m alive? She made a move to sit up and Lydia slowly helped her, right then Isaac appeared with the blanket and wrapped it around her shoulders.
“Ow, that hurt,” she mumbled as she brought a hand to her head and leaned against the girl’s chest.
“Yeah, you have quite a bump on the back of your head,” Lydia mentioned.
[Y/N] looked around but her body went stiff. Those eyes. Oh god, she wasn’t safe. This was all a trick. She looked back at the others and their eyes had changed. She began to scoot away from them. No this can’t be happening.
“[Y/N], hey what’s the matter?” Scott asked as he neared her.
“No, no. Get away from me,” her voice was soft and shaky, but filled with fear.
Their eyes were glowing. These weren’t her friends. It was Kate and her men.
Everyone was met with confusion and worry. She had been fine literally a second ago. The wolves could smell fear radiate off her. But there was nothing around for her to be scared off. These were her friends, they would never harm her, never in their wildest dreams.
Derek quickly glanced up at her and noticed her eyes shifting between everyone and trying to create far enough distance from everyone. He slowly jumped out of the grave and made small movements towards not wanting to frighten her even more.
“[Y/N], it’s us. You know us, we're your friends, we’re not going to hurt you.”
Someone had spoken but [Y/N] couldn’t hear them. Kate and her men had traumatized her too much to be able to recognize her friends anymore. All the people around her, their eyes were just like theirs when they would come in her room and punish her.
Lydia and Stiles just stared at her. When [Y/N] had come to she was fine, but as soon as she saw everyone else she tried to get away from them. Stiles glanced at his friends and cursed. All their eyes were glowing, none were their normal eye color. None looked human to her, except his and Lydia’s.
“Lydia, Kate must have done something to her. She doesn’t recognize the others, but she does us,” he pointed out to her and the redhead instantly understood. The two spoke amongst each other and then split ways. Lydia walked towards the others and gathered them together while Stiles carefully walked towards the girl curled up in herself on the floor mumbling softly.
“Hey,” he gently spoke and placed a hand to her shoulder. The action caused her to jump a little and look up. Her eyes met light brown ones and something clicked in her.
“Stiles?”
He gave her a small smile and nodded, “Yeah, it’s me. You ok?”
The others noticed her voice change and saw she didn’t move away from him. This relaxed them a little and returned their focus back to Lydia.
“T-they were here. Kate and them, they were here,” her eyes made to move around him but Stiles quickly stopped the motion.
“[Y/N], you’re safe now. They’re gone now. They can’t hurt you anymore.”
“No, no. I saw them. I saw their eyes,” she muttered out.
This caused Stiles to sigh sadly. He had hoped his and Lydia’s suspicion to be wrong be it wasn’t. “That wasn’t them, that was the pack. Our Friends.”
[Y/N] made another move to look behind him but was stopped again. What was going on? Why wouldn’t Stiles let her see the others.
“But you can’t see them just yet. I need to listen to me very closely.” [Y/N] looked at him closely but complied.
“I’m not sure what exactly Kate did, but I’m pretty sure she made you fear us. Well, the wolves more specifically. See, when you woke up Lydia was with you and you were fine. But, once you saw the others you panicked.” [Y/N] looked down at the grass between them and thought about it as he spoke. “That’s because their eyes weren’t their human color. Its what’s causing you to freak out. Notice how you’re not backing away from me?” She glazed back up at him and nodded. Stiles grinned, “That’s because I’m not a werewolf. I can’t change my eyes like they can.”
[Y/N] thought back on what had happened to her in the time she spent away from the others in that cold, isolated room.
“She hardly ever came to see me,” Lydia and the others were now focusing on the two on the grass floor. Listening in on their conversation. “She always had her men do her work for her. They were horrible, Stiles. They would punish me for the hell of it. They’d starve me, hunt me,” she couldn’t hold back the tears as they ran down her stained cheeks. “Cut me. But, they were always shifted. Claws, teeth, eyes, everything.” A deep growl came from behind them but she didn’t worry about it too much. She understood it was her friends and that they were listening. But that didn’t mean she didn’t slightly tense up when hearing it.
“I know it’s gonna be hard for you to see them face to face, so I have an idea. Only if you’re up for it,” Stiles offered. [Y/N] nodded. She was willing to do anything. She had spent too much time away from them already and she wanted to be near them again. No matter how long it took, she wanted her family back.
Stiles nodded and began to shift their bodies together, never once letting her lose eye contact with him. He had made them switch places of a sort, making it this time for Donnie to have her back towards the others and Stiles facing her and them at the same time.
“I’m going to ask each of them to come over to us, but you won’t be looking at them. You’ll only be able to focus on their voice and touch. Your eyes will deceive you, but your ears won’t. You know it’s our pack here with us now so trust me. Trust yourself.” [Y/N] closed her eyes and let out a small breath, once opened she gave him a slight nod.
Stiles gave Lydia a nod and she began to send one member at a time.
The first one over was Erica. The blonde began to run towards her best friend and came to a stop just before reaching her and walked slowly towards [Y/N]. Erica wasn’t sure what to say so she said the first thing that would make [Y/N] believe it was truly her.
“Hi Wonder Woman,” Erica’s voice came out in a whisper as she placed a hand on her friend’s shoulder but [Y/N] was able to hear it.
She chuckled and placed her own over the one on her right, “Hi Batwoman.”
That was how each played out. One by one each member made themselves known to her whether it be a nickname or a “Glad your back” but Donnie was able to recognize each voice to each name. Then it was down to one person left.
Derek was scared. Of course [Y/N] was going to recognize him, but Derek feared that Kate might have done something to her to fear Derek in a different matter other than his shifted eyes. Kate had taken [Y/N] to hurt Him. Kate had made [Y/N] fear his pack to hurt Him. All that she had done to her was to hurt Derek and he was wary of  what he could find out when he made his presence known to her.
Peter was just finishing up and Lydia turned to the young Hale. He was pacing slightly behind her and rubbing his hands together. She understood what was going through his head and made his way over to him.
“Hey, you’re up,” Derek paused and looked at her. Lydia’s eyes softened and gave his arm a small squeeze. “You’ll be ok. Just take a deep breath and walk on over there. She remembered the others, she’ll remember you,” she gave him a small smile and stepped aside for him. With that, Derek took a shaky step forward and began to walk towards her.
Stiles was talking quietly to her to calm her nerves and quieted down once he noticed the Alpha behind her. Stiles gave him a nod to go ahead.
“Hi, [Y/N],” he had placed a hand on her shoulder, but had also kneeled down behind her.
[Y/N]’s eyes widened. That voice. That one specific had taken the air out of her lungs. Tears began to well up in her eyes as she heard it. The voice didn’t have to say much more than her name for her to be able to distinguish who it belonged to.
“D-d-derek?”
The voice let out a deep rumble before speaking again, “Yeah [Y/N/N], it’s me. You’re safe now.”
She looked at Stiles with hope in her eyes. She wanted him to help her confirm it was him. She could hear him and could feel his hand on her, but it all seemed too good to be true. But once that smile appeared on Stiles’ face the tears fell upon her cheeks and she turned to embrace the male behind her.
The motion came at Derek with such a force, he was pushed down to his bottom as he quickly wrapped his arms around her too. All the emotions he had bottled up for the past three months of not knowing her whereabouts came pouring out in that one hug towards her. He had tears in his eyes as well and hid his face in her neck as she hid hers in his chest. He took in her scent, took in her heartbeat and just focused everything onto her. Finally having her in his arms where she belonged. [Y/N] was shaking as she cried. The fear of all those months finally catching up to her. She kept mumbling apologies while Derek just held her and commenting she was safe and that they weren’t going to harm her anymore. After her tears had reduced to sniffles, she made a move to remove her head out of his chest to look at him, but Derek noticed and stopped her.
“No, don’t look. Just listen to my voice. I’m right here with you,” he soothed her. One arm was wrapped around her waist as the other brushed her hair, calming her.
“I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. I wish I could look at them,” she squeezed him again. “I wish I could look at you.”
“Don’t apologize, this wasn’t your fault. All that matters is that you're here safe with us. With me,” he placed a kiss on top of her head.
After a few minutes had passed, [Y/N] had begun to doze off in the warmth of his arms. Derek glanced down at her and finally took her in fully. Her hair was all knotted and scattered across her face. Her cheeks had dark smudges with tear stains on them. Her clothes were all dirty and torn in random places. Derek was pissed at the way Kate and her men had treated and left her. He noticed her feet near his thighs as she was curled up on him. They were all scarred, scabbed and bloody. His eyes glowed red and could feel them do so. He made sure [Y/N]’s head stayed hidden in his chest in case she accidentally made eye contact with him.
“I’m going to ride with Stiles and Lydia over to Deaton’s so he could check on her. The rest should head on home,” Derek announced as he got up with [Y/N] in his arms, carrying her bridal style.
The others didn’t argue but came towards the two to bid them a goodbye before walking over to the trees to head on home. But they were all going to Derek’s loft to stay the night.
Derek walked over to the car and made himself and [Y/N] comfortable in the backseat, with her body laid out while her head laid in Derek’s lap. He had gotten a water bottle and damped a small area on the corner of the blanket to wipe away some of the dirt on her face. Shortly after, [Y/N]’s eyes fluttered open and she saw him looking out the window waiting for the other two to join him. She was able to see the scruff along his jaw, his brows creasing together and those beautiful hazel-green eyes. For the first time she was able to truly see him as him and not one of Kate’s men and fear for her life as she did with them, but as the man she had fallen in love with and felt the warmth and safety in being around him. [Y/N] noticed one of his hands on her stomach and the other in her hair. She intertwined hers with his which caused him to look down at her and noticed her eyes were focused on them.
“You have to keep your eyes closed [Y/N],” he reminded her.
“But I’ve already looked at you,” she tilted her head up towards him. “And I’m still here.”
“W-wha, but I t-tho-” [Y/N] grinned at his stammering.
“I guess it’s only when you guys’ eyes are shifted. Might need some time working up to them, but I’m ok when they’re normal.”
Derek grinned down at her and brought up her hand to his lips. “You should rest, we’ll be at Deaton’s soon.” She hummed and dozed off.
Shortly after Lydia and Stiles made it into the car and noticed the two in the backseat. Their hands intertwined and placed on [Y/N]’s stomach. Derek had his head leaned against the window with a faint smile on his face. Stiles couldn’t help it but took a quick picture of the two.
“He’s gonna kill you for that you know,” Lydia sang.
Stiles scoffed, “He’ll also thank me. Now drive.”
Lydia laughed as she drove out the clearing and towards the road.

✨ Kindly pressure me to actually write things ✨
Okay, I’m stealing this idea from @a-lil-bi-furious because it is Genius and I could really do with the motivation! So, I will list my current WIP’s and brief descriptions of them. For each title I get in my inbox, I will write you a snippet for that WIP, and you can feel free to send me as many titles as you like! (If I get two asks for the same title, I will just write another snippet so don’t worry about that!)
And because that neat little list seems weirdly motivating too, here are the promises I make:
• Each ask will be answered within the week
• I will write a good few paragraphs for all of them and do my best to make them Really good paragraphs!
I’m only gonna do the WIPs that I think I could actually be motivated to write. Here we go!
WIPs below the cut:
Find me in the forest, Frodo
A sequel to a fic I wrote called “a dance for the decades” about Lizzie, Josie, Hope, Kaleb, and MG sneaking out to a decade dance at Mystic Falls High, based pre-canon with major divergence. In this one, it focuses solely on the Lizzie/Landon storyline while also dealing with the aftermath of Connor’s attempt to kill Lizzie and the revelation that he knows she’s a witch, in which he’ll once again attempt to out her to the town.
Clash of the European Boyfriends
A dinner party is hosted at the Salvatore House in order to force Damon, Stefan, Enzo, and Klaus to have at least one civilised conversation, courtesy of Elijah and Lexi, with some extra cooperation and persuasion on Enzo’s part for Damon.
that’s a kindness you can’t afford
Another sequel, this one to “don’t be kind to it, it’ll come back” in which young Elena discovers Enzo being held in her dad’s basement and frees him, only he erases her memories. Now, years later, Enzo is keeping an eye on her from afar — until her parents’ care goes over Wickery Bridge, and he’s forced to confront his past through Elena and, to his displeased surprise, Damon.
Let the Games Begin
An AU where the Avengers are all entered into a social experiment called “The Circle” in which they are isolated for three weeks with only one form of communication to each other. Only, Stark Industries isn’t aware that its “experiment” is being used by S.H.I.E.L.D for other purposes.
So if you wanna piss off your parents
Sirius is being forced to go to a social event, hosted by his own family, where Purebloods gather to find prospective husbands and wives for their heirs. But he has a plan: His parents can’t marry him off if he shows up with a date on his arm. And they absolutely cannot marry him off if that date is a bloke (hopefully). It just so happens that James is his only viable option, resulting in a night of faking a relationship to Sirius’ entire family and a bunch of other Purebloods.
Uncle Wolf and Auntie Witch
Lizzie and Josie know about the merge. Liv can’t stay away anymore, and so she and Tyler leave the safety of their newfound contentment and go back to Mystic Falls so that she can help them. Only for them to arrive right in the middle of a Malivore monster invasion.
The Great Magic(less) Bake-Off
As a distraction for the students remaining at the Salvatore School for the holidays, Caroline and Alaric decide to host a series of friendly competitions. Hope is less than thrilled when she’s not only made to take part, but also paired up with Penelope, who is equally as dismayed about the entire situation.
Dear Past, I miss you
Pre-Legacies, when Hope’s room goes on fire and she loses nearly everything she owned, she loses control and hides in her temporary room (Caroline’s old one). In it, she finds a box of unopened letters that Freya had passed along in case Hope wanted them. All from her mom, addressed to her dad.
Were in the woods
Set just after 3A but Boyd and Erica are alive. Erica is wandering the woods during a full moon and comes across a coyote with bright blue eyes. She swears they’re some kind of werewolf, like her, and so she keeps coming back, trying to figure them out, and accidentally ends up solving a murder and a missing person’s case in the process.
First Wizarding War (to be changed)
Begins before the Order finds out that Voldemort is after Harry, before Lily and James are forced into hiding, before Harry is even born; one action completely changes the outcome. Petunia kills Vernon, in self-defence. It’s a burst of magic, she doesn’t know how or why, but it’s brief. With no one else to turn to, she turns to Lily. And with their bond quickly becoming restored in a few short weeks, when the prophecy is revealed, Petunia insists that they make her their secret keeper. In order to keep her safe, Dumbledore hides her and Dudley. They stay on the grounds of Hogwarts, undetected by the students, and from there, Voldemort’s plans are hang in the balance.
The Speedster & The Spider
All of the Avengers are alive, and they see a broadcast of an attack on Venice. Remembering where Peter’s field trip is, Pietro runs off to help — and thus breaking the Sokovia Accords. Again.
are we just a stepping stone?
It’s a late June night in 1978, and neither James nor Peter can sleep. James knows something is wrong. When he finally confronts Peter, the truth spills out about what Dumbledore has been planning. Now the Marauders need to find a way out without anyone getting hurt.
Always In the Closet
It’s the day of Lily’s wedding, and of course all four of the Marauders are there to support her and celebrate with her. Two of them just happen to be a bit distracted elsewhere.
And I’m not sorry for myself
A glimpse at life growing up in Ottery St. Catchpole for the Weasleys, Diggorys, and Lovegoods; from when they were kids, to starting Hogwarts, to the death of Luna’s mum, to the end of the line.
Why McGonagall banned Gryffindor Common Room parties
A series of parties held in the Gryffindor common room throughout the Marauders’ years at Hogwarts, ranging from explosions to snogging (and more).
Crash back into you
After Tracy’s face is in every newspaper across the UK for being seen with Sean Godfrey, Crash gets back in touch with her, and they restore their old friendship while Jess gets to bond with him, and it feels like another piece of their family has been found.
Wedding Disaster
Tracy can’t figure out how to fix Mike and Fiona’s wedding when it starts to turn to chaos, only for a few surprising guests to show up right when she needs them most. With Crash, Jackie, and Justine there to help, they manage to save the wedding — barely.

Hello!! I saw you take prompts for TW and I couldn't resist. I was wondering if you could work some magic with the pairing Erica x Boyd? Berica is my second fav ship (after Sterek) and I feel they need more love. I don't know if you have specific themes/tropes you like to write but would love anything fluffy. A marriage proposal or love confession perhaps? Whatever takes your fancy :) Thanks heaps!
Did I get so excited when I saw this ask that I sat and wrote this immediately? Yes. Absolutely. Berica!!! Ok so this kinda takes place after 3A, but they lived!!! ~1600 words
———
After the alpha pack, Erica and Boyd were inseparable.
Erica had been near death after fighting Kali in the vault. Boyd stayed by her hospital bed for weeks as she slowly healed. He slept in the wooden chair, that was just too small for him, night after night. Erica had always been so animated. She always had a snarky comment, or she was starting a fight. Boyd was never much for conflict, happily fading into the background. Now she was silent, and her expression was softer than he'd ever seen. The others tried to coax him away, asking for his help with the various attacks on the town, but he'd always refuse. Boyd was adamant. He would never leave her alone in that horrible white room. He knew how much time she'd spent in the hospital growing up, and he would make sure she wouldn't wake up alone this time. Erica was his only true friend. Even Issac, his fellow beta, was a stranger to him. He'd sided with Scott, probably the smart move considering his new true alpha status. Their alpha, however, he'd been demoted to beta like them. Boyd wasn't sure if he and Erica even had a pack anymore, but he knew they had each other. She kept him sane in the vault. Her strength amazed him, so Boyd stayed. He stayed until the day she woke up.
The day she woke up was one he'd never forget. After almost three weeks, Erica slowly stirred awake around five in the morning. The steady rise in her heart as she woke up caught his attention from his slumped position beside her. He raised his head and studied her face as her eyes opened with slow, heavy blinks. Erica had looked down at the heart monitor and IV with a hollow familiarity, but then she met his gaze. They just looked at each other silently for a moment, but when her lip began to quiver, he was out of the chair without another second. Boyd just held her. Erica's grip tightened around his large frame with the strength that would crush a normal human's bones. They just stayed like that for a long time.
After her release, Erica wanted to see Derek. She was still loyal to their alpha, even if she hadn't spoken to him since they'd tried to run away in search of a new pack. Boyd explained that Derek was no longer an alpha, that he'd given up the power to save his sister, Cora. Erica just looked at him with those big brown eyes, and he was already on his way to the loft.
When Derek saw her, Boyd could see the guilt and relief wash across the man's face. Their alpha had been so clearly distraught when he found her in the vault, bloody and barely alive. Boyd knew he cared about them, even if he wasn't always a great leader. He made them to increase his own power, but pack is pack.
Erica wanted forgiveness. She wanted Derek to accept that as pack again. Boyd thought he looked physically pained when he told her that Scott had to be the one to accept them as pack. She understood, but she still starred at him. Boyd knew what she wanted. Maybe he wanted it too. They wanted Derek to tell them he didn't resent their past mistakes. What they got was a stiff smile, but for Derek, that meant a lot.
Erica and Boyd weren't quite ready to go to Scott. They knew they'd need a pack, an alpha, but they needed time to heal from what they'd been through. Putting off talking to Scott was like ignoring the rest of the world for awhile. They just drove out to the woods and laid on the hood, starring up at the sky. The clear night let the stars shine brightly overhead. Boyd looked over to Erica, her blonde curls surrounded her head like a messy pillow. He'd seen her face every day for weeks, but it was like she'd finally become herself again. The warmth in her skin and the way her lips twisted up in the corners, like she was mocking the world, were a welcome change to her recent cold, lifeless state. Erica glanced over at him, her eyes sparkling with the reflection of the stars.
"Boyd, we're omegas now, right?" Erica asked, though it sounded more like a statement.
"Right," Boyd nodded. Erica seemed to ponder this for a minute.
"We have each other though, right?" Erica asked quietly. Boyd smiled.
"Right," he repeated. He'd never felt so close to anyone else, even feeling like a stranger to his own family most days. Erica smiled.
"Boyd, you know I love you, right?" Erica turned to him, her blonde curls falling to the side. He turned to face her.
"Right," he said softer this time. She watched him for a moment. "I love you too, Erica," Boyd returned her feelings without any doubt. He felt like he'd said it a million times before, and he knew he'd say it a million times more. Erica beamed up at him, and she leaned over quickly, grabbing his face and pressing a kiss to his lips. His eyebrows shot up in surprise, but he melted into her, wrapping an arm around her waist. She was all the pack he needed.
— 5 years later —
Boyd unpacked the last of the boxes from the truck. They'd had been moving in all day, their collective belongings from each of their college housing filled the moving van almost completely. Though, Erica's things probably took up three quarters of it. The pack came together to get them moved into their new apartment. Scott, Issac, and Derek helping with most of the heavy lifting. Stiles, Lydia, and Allison decided their skills were better suited for directing them, while they sat off to the side and watched the wolves do all the hard work.
"Hell ya! Take your shirt off!" Stiles shouted at their former alpha, causing Derek to roll his eyes. Lydia and Allison just dissolved into laughter. Erica smiled and shook her head behind a large box. Boyd came over, lifting the box from her hands.
"Hey, what's the big idea?" Erica jumped up, trying to reclaim the box. Boyd smiled and laughed.
"I got this. You go hang out with the girls," he said gesturing over to the trio of humans. Erica pouted and glared.
"I'm a werewolf. I think I can handle a heavy box," she pursed her lips.
"I know you can, but there's only a few boxes left. We got this. Go have fun," Boyd leant down and kissed her head. A smile broke out across her face. Erica gave him a quick kiss on the cheek before taking a seat on the counter beside Stiles. Boyd smiled fondly over to her before going back outside to the truck.
"So, when are you doing it?" Issac popped up beside him, asking in a hushed tone. Scott came up behind him and raised an eyebrow.
"Later," Boyd smiled and grabbed a box.
"Very specific," Issac rolled his eyes.
"How are you doing it? Are you gonna take her out to dinner? Go somewhere special?" Scott, ever the romantic, flashed his lopsided grin.
"Here. Down on one knee. What can I say? I'm a traditionalist," Boyd smiled before heading back up the stairs. Issac and Scott sighed, hoping for more theatrics, Boyd assumes. That wasn't his style though.
He got back upstairs and found Erica laughing with Lydia and Allison, while Stiles and Derek bickered. Boyd rolled his eyes. Derek never was much help when Stiles was there to distract him.
They finished unpacking the truck and got the boxes sorted into the right rooms. The pack went their separate ways, and Boyd and Erica fell into their couch with a exhausted huff.
"Pizza?" Erica prompted.
"Pizza," Boyd nodded. She smiled and pulled out her phone, ordering it to their new apartment.
They ate the greasy food and watched their favorite movies. The boxes could wait till tomorrow. After a few hours, they were resting comfortably, Erica leaning into his side, and his arm holding her close. The sun was slipping under the horizon, and the glow from the TV and kitchen lit up the room with soft, warm light. Boyd glanced down at Erica. Her hair was in a messy bun, with random blonde curls poking out in various directions. Her black eyeliner was smeared at the edges from the long day. He smiled down at her and caught her eye. Erica glanced up at him, returning the smile with a questioning look.
"What? What are you thinking about?" Erica leaned up a bit to get a better look at him. She paused the movie, studying his coy smile. Boyd shifted to face her.
"You know I love you, right?" He watched her lips hold back a large grin. She nodded.
"Right," she answered firmly.
"You know you're everything I've ever wanted, right?" Boyd said with great fondness. Erica smirked.
"Right," she repeated cockily. Boyd just smiled wider. He reached in his pocket and pulled out the small black box. Erica's eyes got wide, and her confident expression fell to surprise.
"Will you marry me?" Boyd was never one for dragging thing out. He never wanted to waste time, when he knew how quickly it could be taken away.
Erica was nodding before he even got the words out, "Yes! Oh my god, Vernon!" She grabbed his face and tackled him in a kiss. They toppled to the ground and laughed against each other's lips.

Send 🎰 for me to put our muses into a random list generator then post the first five as potential ships! // always accepting !!
@preylist
ryan edwards x aliyah. my natural response to this is always gonna be tell me about your ocs. but i think she should teach him to farm. i think that would b v good for him.
luna x matthias. i think i could come up w/ a whole ass t100 verse for matthias actually but as he is your char i will NOT do that. but now i’m thinking about luna being born in fjerda born luna who flees bc of the violent nature and persecution of grisha ( i still probably vibe most w/ healer!luna but heartrender!luna is also valid and a part of me says tidemaker!luna bc of roan’s death scene not gonna front ighgues ).
juliet x kili. i don’t know if i could even begin to think of an lotr/the hobbit au but i think elf!juliet would be hot.
klaus x spike. fuck. i feel like they have v similar energy. this is just a disaster waiting to happen.
peyton x liam. wait this is cute ?? i can’t really explain why. i can make up cheerleaders for lacrosse. they have that unlikely friends energy and i’m here for it.
lydia x archie. tell me about your ocs x2. it feels up allie’s alley to be able to come up w/ an apoc au for tw chars but as i am not the best at this if u have a tw au i could probably make something work ( like hunter!archie. some sort of s6 vibe probably. me again making verses for u ignore me ). i could probably wb lydia based off cj’s metas.
harper x enid. WAIT THIS IS REALLY CUTE. i again only know enid through gifs bc katelyn but i think they have similar energy personally. i want them to (lovingly) tease alden together quite frankly.
june x jack. me coming up w/ a lost!au for june on the fly be like: tale section. taken by the others with her brother ( parents killed by the others, unknown for a while ). she trains and picks up on things quickly, thinking that this is how they survive the island. probably starts helping the others after her brother is killed and it’s blamed on jack’s group. insert angst.
callie x vernon. this is also cute. callie would try to sit w/ boyd at the cafeteria probably bc knowing what it’s like to be on the outside. i don’t really remember much of his seasons but i love him. callie probably sneaks into the ice rink bc that’s just their vibe. i think that they also deserve a decent photographer since matt tried to kill them all.
bellamy x aimee. i really need to watch this movie still. i barely even know the general concept, but i’ll get around to it. idk they can help each other try and get back to the people they love.
luna x clyde. see above. maybe luna is apart of his colony or s/t.
jenna x russell. tell me about your ocs x3. i really don’t know how they’d interact either.
bonus. i got both jack/jin and juliet/jin

Teen Wolf
my all-time ultimate fave character: Stiles. We all know it’s Stiles.
a character I didn’t used to like but now do: I wasn’t fond of Malia at first, but by the last season she was alright.
a character I used to like but now don’t: I loved Kate Argent for about 38 minutes of her first episode... and then i realized she killed Derek’s family and that ended pretty quick.
a character I’m indifferent about: Scott’s dad.... I can’t even remember his name.
a character who deserved better: ERICA REYES AND VERNON BOYD.
a ship I’ve never been able to get into: Mama McCall and Papa Argent.... we all know she should have been with Sheriff Stilinski
a ship I’ve never been able to get over: I have two Stydia and Scallison. Both deserved more.
a cute, low-key ship: Erica and Boyd
an unpopular ship but I still enjoyed it: Derek and Braeden. idk if it was unpopular, but not a lot of people talked about it.
a ship that was totally wrong and never should have happened: Stiles and Malia... I’m not sorry about this answer.
my favourite storyline/moment: Void!Stiles for Dylan’s acting. And Lydia remembering Stiles for Holland’s acting.
a storyline that never should have been written: the death of Allison Argent... like i don’t get why teen dramas feel the only way to have a female character leave is death, but it’s some bullshit.
my first thoughts on the show: ooh mystery and werewolves. dude tyler hoechlin is hot.
my thoughts now: I LOVE TEEN WOLF WITH ALL MY HEART, DYLAN O’BRIEN IS HELLA TALENTED. SCOTT MCCALL WAS AND WILL ALWAYS BE THE PUREST CHARACTER TO WALK THIS EARTH.

Summary: When a rusalka in the preserve nearly kills Stiles with a kiss, Stiles is in grave danger any time he’s near a source of water - not just rivers, lakes, and oceans, but pools, bathtubs, the shower, a sink full of water - you put water in it, and it could probably kill Stiles now. Deaton’s advice? Break the rusalka’s magic with a kiss of opposite power - love to beat out death.
My Notes: Okay, this one? Fucking, so good? Like, the way the pack interacts and the concept of their different bestiaries and how they do their research is just fascinating? Plus, there’s Derek’s overprotectiveness and everyone else freaking out on Stiles’ behalf, but also not freaking out? Sorry, it’s just a really good fic.

first line game
rules: list the first lines of your last 20 stories (if you have less than 20, just list them all!). see if there are any patterns, and choose your favorite opening line! tag 10 of your favorite authors! (omg I only know like two authors that I follow on here so @seasidewriter1-writes you are my one and only tag lmao hi)
@songbvrd this is the first time I've ever been tagged in something like this and it honestly made me so happy (may or may not have teared up) that u thought of me, I'm so touched thank you!!!
I have 11 stories spanning from this year all the way back to 2013 and some of them I just... I was young, okay? and not very good at the writing shtick (not that I'm much better now, but hey). I'll turn it around by adding lines from future WIPs I've got lurking in my Google Docs lol.
Beauty is in the Details - Sterek (Teen Wolf) - 8k - 02/2021
Stiles has never really been much of an art-lover, so to speak.
Deaton’s Dream Beans - Sterek (Teen Wolf) - 64k - 11/2020-02/2021
Derek Hale has a lot of time for Vernon Boyd.
Finding One-Shots - Peter Parker/OC (MCU) - 10k - 05/2020-ongoing
Mikaela hands the cash over the counter to the man, giving him a small smile before she takes the pizza boxes and squeezes down the line of waiting customers to exit the pizza joint.
Untethered - Jessica Jones/Tony Stark (MCU) - 66k - 05/2020-ongoing
She should really have every lightbulb in her small apartment switched on and glaring, since the darkness always seems to press in around her, hiding black eyes and soft-spoken words.
Finding Home - Peter Parker/OC (MCU) - 237k - 04/2018-05/2020
They had put a bag over her head when they’d jumped her.
Siblings, Secrets, and Suspicions - Jenko/OC (21 Jump Street) - 20k - 12/2014-02/2017
I managed to sweet-talk my way into getting let out of work three hours early tonight, just to make sure I’m around if my brother decides high school parties aren’t as cool as they’re made out to be on television.
Of Fragile Souls - Alex Summers/OC (X-Men) - 58k - 06/2014-01/2018
His coat of white should have meant that he was the embodiment of peace, of innocence and purity and everything good in this world, but he contradicted that in any and every way he could.

“Patient interview number one. Patient’s name is Kenna Fyrian.”
Okay now it’s time for future WIPs so I can change the subject from those ooold fics I am cringing over after glancing in their direction lmao.
An Unstoppable Force and an Immovable Object - Thiam (Teen Wolf) - TBD
I'm not the bad guy, he had told Stiles.
Untitled Fic - Derek/OC (Teen Wolf) - TBD (won’t be the first line, but it’s all I have)
Ava’s eyes squint with wary suspicion as she hops down from her truck, pebbles skittering under her sneakers when she hits the ground.
Untitled Fic - Poe/OC (Star Wars) - TBD (no idea if this will be the first line, but it’s all I have)
The world is a bleak grey, from the soil to the buildings to the sky.
Untitled Fic - Griffin/OC (Jumper) - TBD
“Motherfuck-” Danny splutters through the blood pouring into her mouth, arms pumping as her feet thunder down the corridor.
Untitled Fic - OC (Umbrella Academy) - TBD
When Eliana was young, Luther would always insist she stand somewhere near the fire extinguishers positioned strategically within each room of the colossal mansion.
Thunder and Lightning - Arthur Morgan/OC (Red Dead Redemption 2) - TBD
Josephine crouches behind a large stone, one knee pressing into the soil, the damp earth slowly soaking into the material of her pants.
Untitled Fic - Jack/OC (Supernatural) - TBD
Vivian slows the car to a stop and turns the engine off, exhaling shakily.
Untitled Fic - Edmund/OC (Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian) - TBD
Arianna leans her back against the foot of the bed, one knee bent to support her elbow, the other leg stretched lazily in front of her.
and that’s all the ones that have any drabbles written for them! any others are just like vague bullet points at the moment.
I think the only kind of patterns I was aware of, looking back at these fics, is that my older ones when I first started out were mostly written in first person, and then from Finding Home-onwards I switched to third person. for some reason the first person stuff makes me especially cringy now. there’s a decent mix of short and long sentences, some dialogue thrown in, some names introduced straight off the bat, but I kinda like that I’m not doing the same thing over and over.
as for picking a favourite, uft.. Untethered is one I'm quite proud of, and that chapter kind of wrote itself one day when I was feeling particularly down and needing to distract myself, so it means something to me. Finding Home is my longest fic to date and is one that I hold very close to my heart, despite there being parts that I wish I'd done differently and stuff. Untitled Jumper Fic is hopefully going to be quite a fun one, when I eventually get round to it; what I’ve characterised so far for Danny I really like, so I’m looking forward to that one. An Unstoppable Force and an Immovable Object is another one that I’m excited for and super eager to get started on, but I’m holding myself back so I can concentrate on Untethered. Oh and then the Untitled Teen Wolf Fic is another one I keep having waves of inspiration for and I keep just noting it down in bullet points or writing drabbles and then tearing my attention back to my actual WIP.
the end?

“You’re getting a phone call,” Derek groaned, laying in your bed.
You hung up the call, turning back to face Derek as he had his arms around your waist.
“Who was it?” he whispered.
“Doesn’t matter,” you closed your eyes, leaning onto his chest.
Your phone began to ring again as you groaned, slightly frustrated.
“Please, just answer it,” he sighed.
You saw Scott’s name flash in the caller ID as you answered.
“Dude, it’s like 4 in the morning, why the hell are you calling me?” you yawned.
“First, it’s not 4, it’s almost 10,” Scott started.
“What?!” you shrieked, jumping out of bed.
“What? What is it?” Derek exclaimed, sitting up.
“Shit. I-I’ll talk to you at school,” you exclaimed, hanging up the call.
“I’m late,” you replied, quickly putting on your clothes.
“You don’t need to go to school. Aren't you graduating in like a month or something?” Derek asked.
“Yeah, but with Gerard as principal, and all those two-year-olds there, I need to make sure I’m supervising,” you said, grabbing your bag.
“Okay then. How do you feel?” Derek asked softly.
He put his arms around your waist, resting his head on your shoulder.
“I’m fine,” you smiled softly. You turned to face him, pressing your lips against yours.
“Let yourself out whenever, I’ll see you later,” you stroked his cheek as he nodded before you walked out of your apartment.
---
“Are you going to Lydia’s birthday party tonight?” Stiles asked you.
“No, there’s a full moon tonight. Scott, are you going? Wait… isn't there a kanima lose?” you raised an eyebrow.
“Well, yeah, but...” Stiles started.
You paused, turning to face him.
“It's Lydia’s birthday,” he exclaimed.
“Yeah, okay, have fun,” you scoffed slightly.
“Scott, how are you feeling?” you asked.
“I feel normal. I think I finally learned control,” Scott said proudly.
“That's good news,” you ruffled his hair, as he groaned in annoyance.
“You messed up my hair,” he sighed.
“It looks fine. I gotta get to class, see you later,” you waved to them, before walking away.
----
“What are you doing here?” Derek asked, slightly alarmed as you walked into the subway.
“There's a full moon tonight, thought you’d need help with Isaac, Boyd, and Erica,” you replied, hearing your phone ring.
You declined the call, before putting your phone on silent.
“Who was it?” Derek asked.
“Doesn't matter,” it was only the 10th time that day that Chris had called you.
“Okay… I don't need any help,” Derek replied.
“You and me both know that's a lie,” you crossed your arms.
“I don’t want you to get hurt,” Derek started.
“I'll be fine,” you replied.
“They’re three wolves.”
“They’re all betas.”
“It's still their first shift, they're stronger than a normal beta.”
“You can’t handle three wolves on your own.”
“Yes, I can. I’m the alpha.”
“Okay but you still have to control your own shift.”
“Stop arguing!” Derek exclaimed, getting irritated.
“I’m not arguing! I’m just replying to your dumb remarks!” you replied.
Derek scoffed, crossing his arms.
“I swear to god,” you heard him whine as you smirked, putting your arms around his shoulders.
“I’m not leaving,” you shook your head.
“Fine,” you smiled softly, pressing your lips against his.
No matter how much you tried, you couldn’t ignore the voice in the back of your head. Derek deserved better.
You're toxic
You shook your head, taking a deep breath, before you put your hand on his waist, leading him into the subway.
---
The night didn’t go as easy as you expected, but you weren’t sure what you were expecting either with three wolves. Four if you count Derek.
“We’re gonna need some more help,” Derek sighed.
“Call Scott,” you said.
He dialed his number, leaving him a voicemail.
You heard a loud clang, as you walked onto the train.
“Oh my god… Derek,” your eyes went wide as you saw Erica and Boyd break free from their chains.
“Crap.”
---
“Saepem coici,” you recited a spell, forming a barrier between you, Isaac, Erica, and Boyd.
“That’s not gonna hold,” Derek started.
“Do you have a better solution?!” you used all your power, trying to hold the barrier as the three of them screamed out.
“Run. Get out of here,” Derek yelled.
“I’m not leaving you!” you felt blood drip from your nose as you continued holding the barrier.
Isaac growled, jumping out the window, shattering it.
“Isaac!” you jumped back, losing your focus.
“Crap!” Derek yelled.
You jumped back, as Erica jumped at you.
Boyd grabbed Derek, throwing him across the train.
This was gonna be fun.
---
You fell over, feeling Erica’s claws dig through your skin.
“Mittent,” you recited a spell, throwing her back as you pushed yourself up.
Her eyes were yellow as she growled, running towards you. You ducked down, reaching for her leg before using your strength to pull it up, seeing her fall in front of you.
“Somnum,” the yellow faded from her eyes before she closed them.
You looked up, seeing Isaac run to Derek, pulling Boyd off of him, and pinned him down, before knocking him out.
You stood up shakily as Derek tied Erica.
“Are you okay?” you ran to Derek, scanning the claw marks over his body.
“I’ll heal. Are you okay?” he asked.
“Yeah,” you said.
“You’re bleeding,” he pointed out.
“It’s not that deep. I’m fine,” you were out of breath as you reached for his hand, pulling him up.
“I’ll get some band-aids for you. Just wait here,” you nodded as Derek walked away.
You sat on the bench, taking a deep breath.
“Isaac, you found control,” you laughed softly, out of breath as you leaned on the seats.
“Yeah, I guess I did,” he was still in his wolf form, trying to control his breathing.
“What was your anchor?” you asked.
“You,” he replied.
“Me?”
“You’ve helped me with everything for so long, you’re always there for me. You’re my best friend,” he said.
You gave him a tight hug.
“God, where’s Derek?” you sighed, walking out of the train.
“Derek?” you called out, getting no reply.
He was gone.
You got out your phone, dialing his number before getting a call from Stiles.
“Stiles?” you asked.
“(Y/N)! We know who’s in charge of the kanima! It’s Matt!” he yelled.
“What? How do you know?” you replied, shocked.
“I’ll tell you later. How fast can you get to the police station?” Stiles asked.
“Uhm,” you paused, looking back to Isaac.
He nodded softly.
“I’m on my way.”
---
“Stiles?” you called out, noticing the front desk at the station unusually empty.
You looked confused, feeling a slight pang of fear in your heart. You felt pain in your stomach, bleeding slowly. Erica’s claws went deeper than you thought they did.
“Stiles?” you walked further into the station, looking for Stiles.
“Scott?” you opened the door to Stilinski’s office, as you froze, seeing a gun pointed at Stiles.
“Matt?” you said.
“Oh, hey (Y/N), what brings you here?” he asked as if nothing was happening.
“Matt put the gun down,” you said calmly.
“Mmm, no. You shouldn’t have called her here, you know,” he shrugged.
“Di-” you started, reciting a spell quietly, as he cocked the gun, pointing it at Noah.
“Stop!” Stiles yelled at you.
You froze, staying quiet.
“If anyone does anything, I’ll shoot him. Right now,” Matt yelled.
“You don’t need to shoot anyone!” you exclaimed.
“All four of you, come with me. Go!” he yelled.
The four of you walked out of the office, walking carefully to the cells.
---
Sheriff Stilinski is safe, now or never, (Y/N)
You took a deep breath, reciting the spell.
“Ligabis eum,” you said, your eyes glowing purple.
Matt laughed softly, as it had no effect. You looked at him, confused and scared as you took a deep breath.
“How...” you started.
“Hawthorne has more purposes than you’d think,” he explained, with a smile on his face.
Oh, shit
You winced as you felt claws go into the back of your neck, as your body went limp. It was Jackson.
“(Y/N)!” Stiles exclaimed, about to run to you.
“Don’t move!” he yelled, aiming the gun at Stiles.
You heard a car engine, and saw headlights, as a car parked at the front.
“Sounds like your mom’s here, McCall,” Matt said.
“Matt, don’t do this. When she comes to the door, I’ll just tell her to leave. I’ll tell her we didn’t find anything! Please, Matt,” Scott begged.
“If you don’t move, now, I’m gonna kill Stiles first and then your mom,” Matt said.
Stiles and Scott walked alongside Matt, looking back at your paralyzed body.
“Open it,” you heard Matt say.
Your eyes watered slightly, as you heard Mellissa’s steps come closer to the door.
“Please, Matt,” Scott’s eyes watered.
“Open the door,” Scott took a deep breath, opening the door, as Derek stood in front of him.
He exhaled sharply, before tensing up as Derek fell to the floor in front of him, while Jackson stood behind him in Kanima form.
My hero
---
“Okay, come on,” Jackson dragged your legs, putting you next to Derek.
“You see, I’ve learned a thing or two. Werewolves, kanimas, witches, hunters. It’s like a Halloween party every freaking full moon,” Matt started.
“Except for you, Stiles. What are you supposed to be?” Matt asked, and Derek laid next to you.
“Where the hell did you go?” you whispered.
“Lydia,” he said softly.
“What did she do?” you asked.
Before he could reply, you felt Stiles fall on your body as you groaned loudly.
“Stiles!” you groaned, scrunching your eyes in pain for a second.
“Get him off of me,” you said, strained.
“Oh, I don’t know, I think you two make a pretty great couple,” you rolled your eyes at Matt’s remark.
“It must feel pathetic, being so powerful, and having it all taken away with a small cut on your neck. Bet you’re not used to feeling so powerless,” Matt taunted, bending down to Derek.
“Still got teeth. Why don’t you come a little closer, see how powerless I am then,” Derek retorted.
You heard another car approach, as you tensed, realizing it was actually Mellissa.
“If you do what I say, I won’t hurt her. I won’t even let Jackson near her,” Matt said.
“Scott, don’t trust him,” Stiles warned.
Matt yanked Scott off of you, putting his foot on his throat.
You heard Stiles gagging, feeling your heart beat faster.
“Get off of him!” you yelled.
“Then do what I tell you!” he yelled at Scott.
“Okay! Okay, I’ll do it,” Scott said softly.
He took his foot off of Stiles, as Stiles gasped for air.
“What the hell is that smell?” Derek asking, inhaling deeply.
“There’s no smell,” you replied softly.
“Oh my god, you’re bleeding out,” Derek realized.
“Bleeding out? What?!” Stiles exclaimed, hushed.
“I’m fine,” you said.
“You said it wasn’t that deep, (Y/N).”
“Okay, so maybe it was deeper than I realized but I’m fine-”
“You’re still bleeding,” Derek said.
“I’m fine,” you scoffed.
“Why are you bleeding? What happened?” Stiles asked.
“Don’t worry about it,” you groaned.
“Wait,” Stiles started.
The three of you flinched as you heard a gunshot.
“Scott!”
---
“Do you know what’s happening to Matt?” Stiles asked.
“Yeah,” Derek started.
“The universe balances everything out. Matt starts killing people who don’t deserve it. He kills people themselves,” you began explaining.
“So...” Stiles said.
“He’s becoming the kanima,” Derek finished.
“So what are we gonna do?” Stiles asked.
You paused for a second, taking a few shallow breaths as your vision got slightly distorted.
Wait a minute…
You paused, realizing that you were bleeding, and because there was blood coming out of you, from your wounds, it was possible you bled out the kanima venom.
You took a deep breath, pushing yourself up shakily.
“What the… (Y/N)?” Derek asked, concerned as he raised an eyebrow.
“I'm gonna stop him,” you slumped over, putting your hand against the wall.
“(Y/N)!” Derek yelled.
“I’m fine,” you gasped.
You quickly ripped off a part of your shirt, tying it around your wound.
You clenched your first tightly, taking a deep breath.
“(Y/N),” Derek warned.
“You’re paralyzed. I’m not. I need to go help Scott,” you took a deep breath, making your way through the hall.
---
You walked through the hall, following Scott and Matt’s voice as you took a deep breath, holding onto the wall.
You gasped, as the lights went out, leaving you in the dark.
Crap
---
“Clypeus,” your eyes glew purple as you used your magic, putting a shield between you and the bullets.
You ran as fast as you could, falling to the ground as more blood fell, letting out a small whimper.
You pushed yourself back up, pausing as you took a deep breath.
I’m okay
You walked to the cells, seeing Noah tied in chains and Melissa in the cell.
“(Y/N)?” they both asked.
“Hey,” you walked to Noah, starting to undo his chains.
Matt came behind you, punching Noah, knocking him out as he grabbed you.
“Succendam auferetur,” your eyes glew purple, pushing him away.
“Clever, but you can't hurt me,” he smirked.
“Oh my god,” you heard Melissa gasp.
You looked at her, as she backed away from you.
“(Y/N), you know, I liked you. I really did. I mean, you were nice, smart. We could’ve been friends. We could’ve done this together,” he started, circling you.
“Done what? Kill innocent people?” you spat.
“They're not innocent! They killed me first!” he screamed at you.
“Get over it! You’re so wrapped up in an accident from years ago! No one cares! You're killing people who don't deserve it!” you spat.
You could feel yourself getting dizzier and dizzier, as you kept yourself up.
“You’re bleeding, aren’t you?” he laughed.
“Shut up,” you exclaimed.
You heard a loud growl, as you watched Derek run at Matt, attacking him.
Scott shifted into his wolf form, running after Matt as he ran out of the cells.
You heard Melissa’s cries as she backed away into the cell.
“Melissa” you gasped, leaning onto the cells.
“Stay away from me!” she screamed.
You get your vision blur, as you stumbled backward, falling as Derek caught you.
“You’ve lost so much blood,” he put his hand over your wound.
“I’m fine,” your voice wavered.
“Stop saying you’re fine!” he yelled.
“I’m…I’m not fine,” you exhaled slowly, as your body went limp.
---
You groaned, sitting up in your bed as you looked around, confused.
“God,” Derek exclaimed, running to you.
“What happened?” you said, squinting your eyes as you rubbed your head, feeling pain echo throughout your body.
“If you ever do anything like that again,” he started.
You looked at him, biting your lip nervously as he wrapped his arms around you tightly.
“I…” you stopped, wrapping your arms around him, hugging him tightly.
“I love you. I love you so much,” he pressed his lips against yours.
“I love you too. God,” you said softly.
“What’s wrong?” you asked, noticing him a little off.
“Scott's working with Gerard,” he sighed.
“What?!” you exclaimed, not believing him.
“That’s…” you started.
“I don't think… there's something else going on. He wouldn't…” you stopped, trying to think of the words.
But you couldn't. Scott was working with Gerard. Gerard. The worse hunter you’d ever met, with the exception of Kate.
“That's not the worst part,” he started.
“I don't think you can tell me anything worse than that,” you raised an eyebrow.
“Well…” he started, as you heard someone knock at your door.
“Coming!” you called, standing up.
“(Y/N), it’s serious,” he said.
“Just one minute. Hey,” you smiled, opening the door as your face dropped, your eyes widening.
“Hello, (Y/N).”
“Peter?”

Pack Wars (01)
Shit posting continues!
I miss Beacon Hills.

     ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Derek, are you sure you want to do this?” Boyd asked.
“Yeah, we have plenty of time to turn back around.” Erica added.
“He doesn’t even know that we’re coming. It’s been a year since any of us have seen him.” Isaac spoke up.
Derek looked over to his betas. He had left his sister and her best friend back in Beacon Hills in the capable hands of his family’s emissary and a deputy. Derek had wanted his betas to stay back too, but of course they threw a fit about that suggestion. They didn’t want their Alpha going off by himself even though Derek was more than capable of taking care of himself. However, he gave in and let the three tag along. He needed to get to London and if he had continued to argue Scott would have gotten here first.
“It may have been a year since you three have seen him, but I’ve stayed in contact with him.” Derek explained.
“You have?” His three betas said in unison.
“Yes. He is my beta visiting the London pack. I still have to check in with him and make sure that he is behaving and listening to the local Alpha.” Derek said.
“Is he still that douchebag lacrosse player?” Isaac asked with a smirk.
“Nope.” Derek answered simply as they all crammed into an elevator.
“Being with another pack changed him?” Erica asked.
“Nope.” Derek answered again.
“There’s a girl involved, isn't there?” Boyd asked.
Derek just smiled at his betas.
“We’re not just here for Jackson, are we?’ Erica asked.
“Right, we’re hopefully bringing back two pack members with us.” Derek told them.
The elevator dinged, the four wolves poured out of the elevator, and then started making their way down the hallway. Derek stopped outside of apartment 17B. He knocked and then stepped back to wait for Jackson to answer the door.
The door did finally open, but it wasn’t Jackson standing there. A young teen stood there, brown hair that was tinted with red and blonde streaks. Her eyes were a dark brown, but sparkled as if they were a diamond caught in the light. Derek smiled at her shyly before holding out his hand towards her.
“I’m Derek Hale, a friend of Jackson’s.” Derek said.
“His Alpha.” The girl stated.
“You know who I am?” Derek asked.
“We had a feeling you’d be coming.” She said slowly eyeing the wolves behind him.
“Oh. These are my other betas; Isaac Lahey, Erica Reyes, and Vernon Boyd.” Derek introduced.
“I know who they are too. Jackson speaks highly of all of you.” She said.
“Are you Jackson’s girlfriend?” Isaac asked.
The girl cocked an eyebrow before nodding. “I’m Emily Grant.”
“It’s nice to meet you.” Derek said with a soft smile.
“Jackson isn’t home right now, but please come on in.” Emily said moving to the side letting the wolves in.
“Sorry to be dropping in like this.” Boyd said.
“It’s okay. Like I said we had a feeling you’d be coming.” Emily restated.
“Why is that?” Erica asked.
“A Scott McCall has been calling relentlessly, but Jackson has been avoiding his calls.” Emily answered.
“Why?” Isaac asked.
“Do you not know anything about me or my abilities?” Emily asked.
The wolves looked at each other before shaking their heads.
“All Jackson told me was that he was in a relationship with an amazing girl. He said that you were supernatural. That’s all he said and I didn’t ask anything else.” Derek explained.
“Why don’t you come sit down and I’ll explain to you my abilities. Jackson should be home soon enough. That way you’re filled in on me and then you can fill us in why you’re here.” Emily suggested.
The wolves nodded and followed Emily into the living room. The wolves packed onto the couch while Emily stood in front of the large window that overlooked London.
“Have you ever heard of Jinxes, Derek?” Emily asked, not looking back at them.
“I have in stories.” Derek answered.
“They’re quite rare, aren’t they? Most supernatural people don’t even believe they exist.” Boyd added.
“Oh we exist. There’s only a handful of us. We can easily be counted on ten fingers.” Emily replied.
“Are you saying you’re a jinx?” Isaac said.
“I’m sorry, but could someone explain to me what a jinx is?” Erica asked, ignoring Isaac’s question.
“Most witches are born with a few magical powers. Never more than two, but I was born with four powers. There have been some rare occurrences where that has happened before, but there has never been a witch or wizard that has had all of their powers connected. They’ve had different powers. Mine are all connected through the mind. Most jinxes are seen as bad luck in the magical community. In history, Jinxes have been known to wipe out their villages, covens, and their own families. Jinxes are feared and usually the coven that the young witch or wizard belongs to kills off the jinx.” Emily explained.
“Because your powers are linked does that make you more dangerous?” Isaac asked.
“Yes.” Emily answered.
“I hope you don’t mind me asking, but why weren’t you killed?” Isaac asked.
“My brother wasn’t born a wizard, but he grew up to be an emissary. He asked his pack to take me in and care for me. The Alpha promised to take care of me, but if I were to go psychotic and kill his pack not only would I be killed, but so would my brother.” Emily explained.
“Your brother had that much faith in you?” Boyd asked.
“My brother was a very loyal person.” Emily said.
“Was?” Isaac asked.
“Unfortunately, my brother couldn’t control me nor my powers. I killed half of the pack before my brother could stop me. He took me away from the pack, changed my identity, gave me a handful of money, and then he told me to run. So I did all the way here to London.” Emily told them.
“Where are you from originally?” Erica asked.
“The south and that’s all I care to say about that.” Emily said.
“Wait, you’re the jinx that took out the Sullivan pack about a decade ago?” Derek asked suddenly.
Emily paled.
“Derek.” Erica hissed.
Derek’s eyes widened. “I’m sorry, Emily.”
“It’s fine. I can’t always keep running from my past.” Emily sighed.
“What powers do you have?” Erica asked her to change the subject.
“My first power that my parents discovered was telekinesis. As I grew older we realized that I was answering questions or finishing other people's thoughts without hearing them. Thus leading to discovering that I have telepathy. Not long after that, I started having dreams, no nightmares, and these images came true.” Emily explained.
“Precognition?” Boyd asked.
Emily nodded. “After that, my last power was discovered. It’s a power that I refuse to use. I can use mind control.”
“Cool!” Isaac blurted.
Boyd thumped him on the back of the head.
“It’s not cool. It can be very dangerous.” Emily said.
“Is that how you had a feeling that we’d be coming?” Derek asked.
“Scott’s persistent phone calls triggered the dreams. When I told Jackson of a tall, dark, brooding Alpha coming for us he knew that it was you. He also knew that something horrible must be going on in Beacon Hills if you’re coming to London for him.” Emily explained.
A storm began outside. Emily sighed, flicked her hand, and the curtains closed themselves. She dropped down into a chair and rubbed at her head.
“Are you alright?” Derek asked.
“Yes, it’s been awhile since I’ve been around so many people. Trying to keep my head out of your thoughts can be quite tiring. It’s been a long time since I’ve had to do that.” Emily answered.
“Oh.” Derek said.
“Can you hear what I’m thinking?” Isaac asked.
“You’re not saying anything, but you are thinking about a pretty brunette that’s a hunter.” Emily said.
“Yeah, that’s my girlfriend, Allison.” Isaac grinned.
The front door opened, Jackson stumbled in loaded down with bags of food.
“Emily, if you’re so wrong about Derek coming and I went out into that storm for nothing,” Jackson paused when he saw everyone in the living room.
“I told you our guests were coming today.” Emily said.
“Alright, alright, I have to stop trying to say that your visions are wrong.” Jackson sighed.
Emily smiled. “You’re never going to be able to out guess me.”
“Damn you and your magical brain.” Jackson sighed.
“Now you know how I feel when you use your wolfy-senses on me.” Emily replied.
“Alright, you got me.” Jackson said putting the food on the counter.
“Jackson, it’s good to see you.” Derek said.
“Derek.” Jackson curtly replied, shaking his Alpha’s hand.
“I hope you guys are hungry. It was my idea to get dinner. Jackson tends to forget his manners.” Emily said.
“It smells great.” Erica smiled.
“It’s Indian food. I hope you guys like it.” Emily stated.
“Never had it.” The three betas said in unison.
“Well come on up to the bar and take a seat. I’ll get you started.” Emily said leading the wolves into the kitchen leaving Jackson alone with his Alpha.
“Why don’t you try the Neer Dosa and the Chicken Curry first.” Emily said.
“How exactly do we eat this?” Boyd asked.
“Take a piece of the naan bread and then just pick up a chunk of the curry.” Emily said.
The betas watched her tear a piece of the naan bread and pinch a chunk of the curry inside it. She shoved it into her mouth and smiled happily. The betas glanced at one another before quickly following suit.
“Whoa, this is really good.” Isaac commented around a mouthful of food.
“Here try the Rogan josh with the naan bread.” Emily said, pulling out another container.
The betas continued to dig into the food as Emily pulled it out and explained what it was. She left the betas to the food when she saw Jackson keep staring at her. She could hear Jackson literally internally screaming for her to come and join him. Emily wiped her hands cleaned and then moved to join Jackson on the couch with Derek.
“It’s bad isn’t it?” Emily asked as she sat down.
“My home,” Jackson paused. “Beacon Hills is under attack.”
“What do you need from us?” Emily asked Derek.
“Beacon Hills is my home Emily. It has always been my family and my pack’s home. I can’t lose it. Especially now.” Derek explained.
“Why?” Emily asked him.
“I just found my sister again. I want to keep her around. I want her to be able to come home and I can’t do that if I lose our territory.” Derek told them.
“What does a pack war have to do with me? I mean I know why you’re here for Jackson. He is your beta, but I’m not pack, especially your pack.” Emily pointed out.
“Well technically you are my pack.” Derek said with a shrug of his shoulders.
“We’re not married or anything, Derek. Emily can’t be pack.” Jackson replied.
“She’s different to you isn’t she? I mean from anybody else you dated.” Derek said.
“Yes. She’s the perfect girl for me.” Jackson answered sheepishly.
“Is she your anchor? Calm your wolf?” Derek asked.
“Yes.” Jackson said.
“When you first met her did she smell incredible? Make your heart skip a beat? Did your wolf want to claw its way out of your skin?” Derek asked.
“How did you know that?” Jackson asked with wide eyes.
“Because I know that feeling.” Derek told him.
“What does that mean?” Jackson asked.
“It’s rare nowadays for a werewolf to find it’s mate. The whole mate thing is old school especially back in the day when it really was just wolves finding their mates, but a strong enough werewolf can find it’s one true mate.” Derek explained.
Emily looked over to Jackson. He looked up at her, leaned in, and pressed a soft kiss to her forehead.
“I’m glad to know there’s an explanation for all of this.” Jackson said.
“It makes sense. The first day Jackson met me he told me he wanted to run away and get married.” Emily said.
Jackson reddened. Derek smiled. Emily laced her hand with Jackson.
“If you two are serious about this, one day as your Alpha I’d be happy to help you through the mating ceremony.” Derek said.
Jackson nodded. “I like the sound of that, but first it sounds like we need to save Beacon Hills first.”
“Emily, everyone back home knows nothing of you. Peter’s going to know that you’re powerful, but he’s not going to know how. If he finds out about your telekinesis I’d be fine with that, but all of your other powers I’d like to keep those hidden for as long as possible.” Derek said.
“I’ve had dreams, Derek. Of your Beacon Hills, the packs, and the boy you love.” Emily said quietly.
The betas stopped eating and turned to look at their Alpha. Derek stared at Emily with wide eyes.
“How did your pack split into two?” Emily asked him.
“Scott’s a true Alpha.” Derek answered weakly.
“Derek, I’ve done some horrible things in my life. I’ve taken lives. Many lives and I have sworn to never do that again, but my dreams all lead to even more horrible things if I don’t help. If you truly are accepting of me into your pack for my good and my bad then I will do whatever it is necessary to help you.” Emily told him.
Derek reached forward and grabbed Emily’s hand in his. He gave it a slight squeeze. Emily looked up from their joined hands and up to the Alpha. His eyes were glowing bright red. Emily could see the other betas slowly making their way over to their Alpha. Erica reached them first. She touched Emily’s leg, Boyd was standing behind Jackson with his hand on Jackson’s shoulder, and Isaac stood behind his Alpha with a hand resting on his back.
“This pack is your pack. We protect those who are family and you’re our family.” Derek told her.
Emily nodded. She looked over to Jackson who squeezed her other hand letting her know that it was going to be okay.
“Then you now officially have a jinx as part of your pack.” Emily whispered.
“Thank you.” Derek said.
Emily gave him a curt nod.
“I know there is supposed to be a big showdown tomorrow night with all of the packs, right? So everyone can see who belongs to whose pack.” Emily said.
“Yes, we’re supposed to meet in the preserve at midnight.” Derek answered.
“Then you and your betas need to fly out tonight. Jackson and I have some loose ends to tie up here and we’ll take the first flight out in the morning. We’ll be there in time to back you up.” Emily said.
“I can leave Boyd here with you.” Derek said standing.
“No, Derek, you’re going to need all of your pack with you. Plus, we’re going to have to throw Scott off our trail. I promise we’ll be there tomorrow night.” Jackson said.
Derek nodded. Everyone quickly said their goodbyes. Emily left Jackson with the pack to clean up the dinner mess. Jackson closed the door, leaned up against it, and let out a small sigh. He pushed away from the door and trudged over to the kitchen to help Emily clean up. The pair picked at the food and ate as they cleaned up.
“Emily?” Jackson said.
Emily turned away from the fridge to look at her boyfriend.
“When you turn eighteen,” Jackson began.
“Which is in six months.” Emily reminded him.
Jackson smiled. “I’m putting a ring on that finger and I’m gonna wife the crap out of you.”
Emily’s heart sped up as she stared at her boyfriend. She could hear his thoughts rushing through his mind. He was serious about this.
“Your father would freak out if we got married at eighteen.” Emily told him.
“Are you telling me no?” Jackson asked her.
“Absolutely not, Jackson. If I could marry you now, I would.” Emily told him.
Jackson smiled at her. “Don’t worry about my dad. Now that I’m eighteen I have a nice insurance policy and heritance from my birth parents that my dad can’t touch.”
“I will be attending college before I pop any kids out for you. Just an fyi.” Emily told him.
Jackson laughed.
“Both of us will have our degrees before any babies. I promise.” Jackson said as he swooped in to wrap his arms around Emily.
Jackson kissed Emily. Emily wrapped her arms around Jackson’s neck as he picked her up. Emily crinkled her nose as Jackson spun her around several times.
“Play later, pack now. We have to get things settled before we go.” Emily said.
“Right, you call the school and leave a convincing message why we’ll be gone the last week. I’m going to pay the next few months of rent ahead of time along with the bills.” Jackson said.
“I’ll also leave a prerecorded message for your mother to get once we’re actually out of the country.” Emily added.
“Then start packing. I’ll get us on the first flight out in the morning.” Jackson said.
The pair broke apart. Emily grabbed her cell phone and called the school. Using her best distinguished voice to sound like Mrs. Whittemore, Emily left a message excusing Jackson and Emily from school to attend a cruise for their graduation gift. When that message was over, Emily recorded a message for Mrs. Whittemore personally. She knew that the woman wouldn’t understand the truth, so Emily lied about the pair heading back to Emily’s hometown to see her family for graduation. She set the recording to send at eight am on the dot.
Emily could hear Jackson on the phone setting up their bills to be automatically paid. She slipped into the bedroom and pulled out their two suitcases. Emily quickly made work of her closet and dresser. She knew it was warm in California so she packed her lighter clothes. She tossed in some jeans and hoodies just in case. Emily dug out her old spell book and hid that within her suitcase in case they needed it.
She was just grabbing her bathroom necessities when Jackson came to join her in their bedroom. He began shoving clothes into his own suitcase. Once Emily’s suitcase was filled she zipped it up and then concentrated on her backpack. She packed her charger, her current book, her glasses and contact case. Emily threw in a few snacks, she knew that Jackson’s wolf hunger wouldn’t be sated with nasty airplane food for their long flight. She tucked her wallet and sunglasses into her backpack. Jackson was just finishing up himself when his cell phone began ringing.
“I’m not going to be able to lie to Scott, Emily.” Jackson said.
“I can.” Emily said.
“You don’t like using your mind control.” Jackson said.
“I know, but we can’t have Scott knowing that we’re coming.” Emily said.
Jackson sighed, then nodded, and handed his phone over to Emily.
“Hello.” Emily answered.
“Is Jackson there?” Scott asked.
“This isn’t Jackson Whittemore’s number. Please stop calling.” Emily said.
“Are you sure?” Scott asked.
Emily concentrated on Scott’s voice so she could send her thoughts into his.
“Sorry. I must have the wrong number.” Scott said.
“That’s alright. Have a good night.” Emily said before hanging up.
“That’s super creepy, but super hot at the same time.” Jackson said.
Emily rolled her eyes.
“Shut up.”
Jackson smirked.
“Come on, let’s go and have one last meal together.” Jackson said.
“We’re not going to have any more alone time are we?” Emily asked.
“Nope, the joys of the pack life.” Jackson said.
Emily forced a smile as they grabbed their luggage. They headed down to the parking garage where Jackson left Emily at the entrance so he could pull up his SUV. Once the vehicle was packed, the pair headed to their favorite diner to have one last quiet meal together. They were heading out on the three am flight. It was going to be an eleven hour flight. Which would give the couple enough time to drive to Beacon Hills, catch a quick catnap, and plan with their pack before meeting up with the other packs.
Jackson reached across the booth to lace his hand with Emily’s.
“Everything is going to be okay.” Jackson.
Emily nodded, but she was afraid of the visions that would come once she touched foot in Beacon Hills.
Deucalion and his Alphas reached the preserve first. Ennis stood to his left and Kali was to his right. Aiden and Ethan stood behind him watching the rest of the area for the other packs. Deucalion could hear somebody coming from the east. Deucalion grinned as he saw the familiar face walk forward.
Peter Hale stepped through the woods and into the preserve. He was flanked by his pack. His daughter Malia the werecoyote. Kate Argent, the new turned Hunter is now a werejaguar. Theo a born werewolf, with Peter’s made wolves he apprehended during his short time as Alpha. Owen and Sydney were twins and they stood at the back of the pack with the other made wolves Oz and Adam.
Scott ‘The True Alpha’ McCall came next with his rather large pack. His girlfriend, Kira Yukimura, the fox stood to his left. The banshee, Lydia, stood to his right. Liam, Scott’s little pup that he made himself, was joined by Allison and Chris Argent. Melissa, Scott’s mother stood with Sheriff Stilinski and Brett another new beta to his pack. Danny, the pack’s human, stood with the new pack human, Mason. Deucalion could sense a little animosity in the air of Scott’s pack as Stiles moved through the pack to join Scott and Kira up in front.
Finally, from the North came the Hale pack. It was smaller than what Deucalion had expected, but he was impressed to see that Derek had built himself a pack. His old family’s emissary, Deaton stood just behind Derek. Boyd and Isaac his first and second in command stood on either side of him. Erica stood next to Boyd and Derek’s sister Cora flanked Isaac’s side. The new deputy in town who turned out to be a phoenix stood in the back with the pack’s very own fish out of water little mermaid, Jenn.
“Derek, you should just take your pathetic excuse for a pack and run now. We won’t laugh as you tuck tail and run.” Peter taunted.
Derek just smiled at his uncle. “I think you should be the one to tuck tail and run, Peter.”
“Is that a threat boy?” Peter snarled.
“It’s whatever you take it as, Peter.” Derek said.
Everyone froze as sound came from the west. Two shadows could be seen walking through the maze of trees. Eyes widened in realization as Jackson stepped into the middle of the preserve with a brunette clinging to his hands.
“My, my, what do we have here?” Deucalion asked.
“Sorry, we’re late. We got a little distracted.” Jackson apologized.
The brunette slammed her foot down onto Jackson’s. He let out a small growl as he looked back at her to glare.
“Jackson, my boy, are you up for grabs?” Peter asked, he was practically drooling over the thought.
“You and I have a lot of unfinished business, Peter. So don’t even think about it.” Jackson said.
“Jackson,” Lydia whispered.
Jackson set his cold gaze up on his ex-girlfriend and Scott McCall.
“How did you know to come?” Scott asked. “We’ve been trying to reach you.”
“My Alpha came for me.” Jackson simply answered.
All eyes turned towards Derek who was still standing there smiling.
“Jackson, you’ve brought power with you.” Deucalion said as he licked at his bottom lip.
“It’s not power for you.” Jackson told him.
“It is if I take it.” Deucalion said nodding towards Kali.
Just as Emily’s dream had predicted, Kali came flying at them. Emily shoved Jackson out of the way, lifted her hand up, catching Kali mid flight. There were several gasps as Kali just hung in the air. Jackson straightened himself to look back at Emily. Her eyes were already fading to black as they do when her magic comes over.
“Back. Off.” Emily hissed sending the Alpha flying backwards and into a tree.
“How in the world did you find yourself a telekinesis?” Deucalion asked.
Jackson dragged Emily over to their pack. They ignored Deucalion’s question. The pair stood with Derek and they looked amongst the other three packs.
“This is Hale territory. Always has been and always will be. We are joining together as a whole to stop all of you.” Jackson snarled.
“You think your pathetic little pack can stop us?” Peter asked with a laugh.
Derek smirked. “You have no idea who you’re messing with.”
“Scatter.” Emily snarled suddenly.
“What?” Isaac asked.
Emily shoved the smaller brunette down. “Scatter!”
As Derek and the rest of his pack moved out of the way bullets started to rain down. Emily was hit in the shoulder as she pushed the girl out of the way. Emily swore as she tore the bullet out of her shoulder. It was packed with wolfsbane, it wasn’t going to hurt her, but the rest of the pack could be hurt. Emily quickly stood and could see Peter’s pack shooting at the other packs. Emily left the girl by a tree before running out into the middle of the preserve.
Emily swiped her right hand across in front of her sending the twins crashing into a tree. She flicked at Peter and his daughter smashing them into each other. It took Emily only a few more minutes to wipe out all of Peter’s pack. They lay scattered on the ground groaning in pain.
“You weren’t kidding about him not fighting fair.” Emily stated as Derek came to stand next to her.
“I’m so damn happy we have Emily in our pack.” Isaac said as he helped Cora to her feet.
The other two packs were helping each other to their own feet and checking their wounds. Jackson limped over to Emily and sagged against her. Emily tried catching Jackson, but he was too heavy and dragged Emily down with him.
“You’re hurt!” Emily exclaimed.
“It could have been a lot worse if it weren’t for you.” Deaton said, coming to check on Jackson’s wound.
“Derek, we need to get out of here and regroup.” Cora said.
Derek nodded.
“Boyd can you carry, Jackson?” Derek asked.
“I can walk, plus he needs to get Reyes out of here.” Jackson snarled.
Without looking at the other packs, Derek led his wounded pack out of the preserve. Emily left Jackson with Deaton and Derek to go over to the other brunette.
“You okay?” Emily asked.
“Yes, wolfsbane can’t hurt me, but the bullets sure would have.” The girl said.
“Good, now let’s get out of here.” Emily said.
“So are you like a witch?” She asked.
“Something like that.” Emily replied.
“I’m glad you’re not a wolf. I was beginning to feel outnumbered.” She said.
“What are you exactly?” Emily asked.
“Well I’m Jenn, but I’m a mermaid.” Jenn said.
“It’s been awhile since I’ve talked with a mermaid.” Emily replied.
“You know mermaids?” Jenn asked.
“Several of them.” Emily replied.
“Maybe you can help me find my birth parents.” Jenn suggested.
“Yeah, maybe.” Emily choked out.
“Awesome.” Jenn grinned before she hobbled off to catch up with the Deputy.
Another vision had come to mind and now that she met Jenn, Emily wasn’t quite sure if she was going to be able to tell Jenn the truth.
“Come on Em,” Erica hissed as Boyd pushed her into the vehicle.
“Coming.” Emily said as she waited for Jackson to slide in first.
“That could have been worse.” Derek told her. “So thank you.”
Emily nodded. “Of course, we’re pack now.”
Derek smiled and climbed into the driver's seat.
The rest of the pack quickly divided up between the vehicles and headed back towards Derek’s loft. They were going to stitch each other up and then start coming up with the next plan. Now that Emily got a feel for all of the packs she knew this was going to be much harder than she had anticipated and Emily feared the worst.
