I have to be honest. I was never an Angel Hare kid. I drew up in England. We didn’t have religion themed cartoons like they do in the US, with the exception of Christmas specials or a random short they might show in an RE class. I didn’t even know what Veggietales was until I was an adult.

….but growing up in (what was) a European country did allow for that wonderful subsection of anime to creep its way in from overseas. So I never knew Angel Hare…but Maho Shojo Nousagi Tenshi was a fleeting memory I’d long believed I’d imagined….

Yes yes this is absolutely inspired by East Patch’s April fools lore drop about the lost Angel Hare anime which is 100% not cannon…but you can’t just sprinkle a magical girl AU into your analogue horror series and not expect I’d go coo coo-bananas over it and want to draw cute Cardcaptor Sakura/Sailor Moon themed fanart of it XD
