2. The “Thats my suit. My spare suit, from my office” fic because NO WAY was Harvey not obsessed with seeing Mike in his clothes.

Just finished S4 of suits.

The rollercoaster of emotions of Mike proposing to Rachel then Harvey talking to his brother AND then Donna telling Harvey that she is leaving him to work for Louis is just 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹.

Also the "I love you" between Harvey and Donna destroyed me like just get together alreadddyyyy.

the scene where Rachel calls the prison on Mike's first night causes me to physically cringe. She has some of the worst writing in a show with some bangers in that department (see whatever stiff bullshit she says in her next scene), but this hurts my body. She couldn't even read up on the procedures? Like I know this isn't their specialty, but she's acting like he's at a work conference.

Was this scene supposed to create any sympathy for her? She's got baby Karen vibes.

honestly crazy that you are comparing the very real very horrible situation of amber to two fictional characters. maybe step back and revaluate how you engage with media.

the show itself draws parallels to real-life couples, history, and other pieces of media. if you are comfortable watching media without thinking about what it says about the society we live in and have lived in, you're not engaging with it properly.

I’m only on season 2 but am I really supposed to like Harvey?

He’s gonna come in and scream at Louis and trash his office and I am supposed to be on his side?

He’s an asshole. He’s always been an asshole. Especially to Louis. And I get Louis is a jerk too but not on Harvey’s level. Harvey has treated Louis like garbage the entire time (so far) he’s had a couple nice moments. But to go into Louis’s office and act like they were friends and Louis would go to his office to hang out and talk to Donna is absurd. Donna did the same thing earlier in the season when she was like “you were on our team. But now you’re not.”

Both are full of shit. They both treated Louis like trash every single time they spoke to him. Harvey mocked him. Called him pathetic. Donna refused to speak to him. They were never friends or on a team. They only used Louis when they needed him. And that’s fine, but to act later like Louis should have been grateful to them is ridiculous.

i'm on the season two finale i am snorting this shit like drugs it's soooooooo fun.......... every single character is fully bonkers insane if you're not boring about it..... obsessed with literally everyone and harvey like harvey and jessica's protoge thing, harvey and donna's whole situation, harvey and louis's insane bestie rivalry, obviously harvey adopting mike like a stray dog... louis and donna are SOOOO fun too like they're off the walls in exactly the same way, donna and mike being co-spouses... but harvey is amazing bc the show pushes him as like Thee princess babygirl primmadonna rockstar olympian and somehow I'm like yeah totally he is that great. like okay gabriel! i find myself getting really exasperated with most of mike's subplots but not enough that it gets in the way of my enjoyment of the show. love a procedural where everyone talks exactly the same way and the rhythm of the dialogue is so snappy and consistent it becomes Soothing.

i’m home, came back for the weekend to my hometown after a few weeks, to recharge batteries a bit, (to wash my laundry, since we still don’t have a washer at the flat), to breathe the clean air of the countryside for a change, to have a quiet night and a dreamless sleep

because i had a rough week or so, and it got bad in my head, i need to write down a few of the good things,

events:

catch-ups with my friends over the weeks: the boys, anna, jakub, terezie, karolina

5sos concert (12.10) (the best concert ever) (they were absolutely amazing and i’m so glad i impulsively bought the ticket)

signal festival prague (14.10) (so cool, met new people)

louis tomlinson concert (19.10) (he played chicago? oh my god?!) (still not over it) (the best concert ever, emotionally)

things i’ve treated myself with:

ring and earings at vietnamese sapa market (so pretty!)

five new books (i’m supposed to be on a book buying ban, but eh, ehmmm), the picture of dorian gray and selected plays by oscar wilde, diaries and the complete stories by franz kafka, and lastly, on the road by jack kerouac

salmon slices on sale (yummy)

steak tartare (tataráček) and beer at the pub near our flat with my flatmate after a long monday (the czech aesthetic, you wouldn’t get it)

bought me a louis tomlinson merch tshirt at the concert (so cool, my little bro approved)

the phonecall with my little brother, when i helped him fry an onion for meat dumplings and he still buggered it at first, and before he finally managed it, i catched a bus from public laundry, had a 10’ ride, then walked to the flat, and even managed to hang the wet laundry (made my day, truly)

my flatmate kaja, for being my partner in crime, our texts when we’re only in the next room, our late night coffees at the kitchen, and for our understanding for each other because we’re the same mentally ill bitches

Been watching Suits, it’s Very Good

I mostly knew it as “the show that made Meghan Markle famous”, and to be fair, she is great in it

But no one told me about Gina Torres as the managing partner of the law firm, and she absolutely owns that role.

(you might know her as Zoë Washburn in Firefly -- and tbf I’m more into Zoë as a character, but Gina Torres plays an *incredible* Jessica Pearson! Looks amazing, dominates every room she’s in, decisive and respectable leader, somehow I still buy that she has a strong moral code act despite “laywers being dicks to each other” being the entire point of the show, and she’s just as much in the muck as any of them)

And apparently in the later seasons my fave Dulé Hill joins the regular cast!! So yeah lots to love about this show, and I haven’t even talked about the actual story or main characters yet.
