Elejah.. but make it a brother-sister kind of relationship where Elena has the role of the younger sister that can’t stand to be 50 feet near Elijah because she feels the need urge to punch him every 30 seconds and she insults him every so often, and him being the most insufferable brother ever and takes the insult with his own sarcastic response.

But, Elijah is so very protective of Elena and would do anything to keep her safe and would kill anyone that has caused her any kind of physical/emotional pain. And Elena would go to Elijah whenever she needs to feel some kind of emotional support because she knows that he will listen and can relate on some sort of level. She in return is overly protective over Elijah and would always find a way to save his ass from getting himself killed.

This is how I picture their relationship to be if they’re strictly friends and it’s purely familial love between them.

just came across „questions for fic writers“ and I’m loving the questions! I really have to pace myself here: would love to read your answers to 1, 3, 7, 10.

(was this post a sign to read the bamf!elena fic of yours I’ve bookmarked forever ago & still love the premise of 🤔)

(I mean if you want read it I would not at all oppose it 😁 (I really am proud of my angry bamf!elena fic, it's ongoing but fuck if I haven't ended up stuffing it full of all my TVD issues and how I'd like to fix them (the story actually also includes caroline's road to healing, bamf!bonnie, revenge against the salvatores, elejah with pining, bit of klaroline, rebekah getting friends and perhaps moooore *cough*bonnie*cough*)).

But as for the actual questions.

1. What fic of yours would you recommend to someone who had never read any of your work? (In other words, what do you think is the best introduction to your fics?)

Well that obviously depends on what kind of fandoms a particular person enjoys but... I guess as something that would work as an introduction to my writing style and figuring out if it's something that is to the reader's taste? It should probably be one of my 5+1 type fics.

Because they're longer you'd get a proper read but because it's basically a small series of related short scenes you'd also see if you'd be interested in my shorter one shots (I have wayyy more fics that are 300 to 1500 words than the longer stories).

But to narrow it down to one story.

5 Times The Doctor Talked About River Song With Graham (+1 Time The Fam Finally Met Her)

The title is pretty self-explanatory I think. But basically Graham finds the Doctor's wedding ring and it opens up the way for the Doctor to actually talk about her wife.

And the fic contains both angst and fluff (both of which I tend to juggle on equal basis), grief and some bonding between two widowed people. And outsider POV on the romance (also something I've done a few times).

3. What are some tropes or details that you think are very characteristic of your fics?

Oh boy. I think I tend to write with a very deep focus into the emotional and mental space of the character. I tend to focus a lot on describing how a character feels during the scene.

Okay, so as an example from that bamf!elena fic.

One thing, one thing. Just one thing, so that she could take another breath and not have it scorch her lungs to ash.

It was like trying to build a sandcastle during high tide. She didn’t have anything to use that wouldn’t wash her away spinning into the next wave of awful flashbacks.

Nothing. Nothing except-

She’d been free. Freed from a conscience she couldn’t afford to give up again. Free from the grief she’d never actually wanted to abandon, not until the choice was taken from her. But also free from the two brothers that had been taking choices away from her from the moment they’d come to town.

And she didn’t want to give that freedom up. She wouldn’t. Not ever again.

She gasped in a deep, cleansing breath free of pain, - just one moment of utter clarity - and moved before either Stefan or Damon expected it. One of them too intent on coaching her through her returning humanity, the other with his arms holding her in place and his head within easy reach, neither of them saw her coming before it was too late and they’d already joined her first boyfriend on the ground with their necks in the same state as his.

Then she staggered in place. Feeling the starvation that had been inflicted on her these past few weeks as the Salvatore brothers tried to get their Elena back.

Her eyes strayed toward Damon again without her consent and she felt a moment of reignited terror at the tug within her, the encroaching pull to not hurt him. She could still feel it. Weaker than she remembered, frayed copper wire instead of hard steel cuffs, but still there. The sire bond wasn’t gone. Not entirely.

“No,” she choked out and after only a momentary stop to take back her ring, was running toward the one place that might hold the information that could sever that last piece of chain. Because she couldn’t live with it in place, she’d rather go back to burning alive.

Other than this focus on the inner dialogue of the character from whose point I'm writing.

I write a lot of pining. A lot of angst that's mixed with comedy. And fluff that's mixed with comedy. And fluff that's mixed with angst.

Also. I guess I have a particular weakness for fix-it fics maybe? And I think my best stories are probably the ones that involve at least some gen elements that twine through the romance stuff.

7. Any worldbuilding you’re particularly proud of?

Well, I mostly tend to write canon universe/canon divergence stories which don't include all that much world building on my part. But there is one AU fic I'm rather proud of.

Royal Marriage Agreements and Cursed Princesses and Dragons Oh My!

It's my 'feminist fairy tale Clizzy with a touch of Malec' fic. Where Izzy's a princess who's supposed to marry against her wishes and instead goes 'fuck that' to go wake up the cursed to sleep princess and get out of it. I enjoyed coming up with some fun world stuff for that one (Magnus is the dragon btw).

10. How do you decide what to write?

Hell if I know.

My writing habits are made out of pure chaos. But stuff usually starts out with a concept or a scene.

Stuff like: what if Elena's sire bond didn't get broken but she wants it gone and what if Elena actually found out what Damon did to Caroline?; what if Henry found the ring before Hook could propose and stole it to buy his moms some time to figure their stuff out because clearly Emma and his mom are in love?; what if Kate got badly injured and Alice brought her to Mary still dressed as Batwoman? (I wrote this before Mary found out in canon); what if I go through six seasons worth of times Bellamy tried to stop being in love with Clarke while failing miserably and then gave them their freaking happy ending?; what if I tear out my own heart by writing through Monica's POV all the times she and her mom talked about Auntie Carol and what if I also add some matchmaking parent trap at the end there?

After that. There's one of two ways it could go. Either I come up with the dialogue and then add the inner monologue and description of scene around that OR I do the inner voice first and then build the dialogue around that.

And then I forget everything I ever knew about writing until new 'what if' arises and I write and rewrite stuff till out comes something I don't entirely hate.

I normally don’t post these sort of things, but a friend from high school’s poor cat is in a bad way and my high school friend doesn’t have the money to get her beloved pet the medical care she needs ($500 for an ultrasound), after just getting back to work after six months of being out if work.

This hits close to home since not long ago one of my cats were in a bad way and had to stay at the vet hospital for a couple of days. He’s fine now, thankfully. I was able to fund my cat’s care fortunately, but I understand that not everyone can. It’s expensive!

so you're a self-identified "elejah's whore" (relatable lol) but how do you feel about elijah/katherine? personally i like elejah better but i think s4 did have some good kathlijah scenes? even tho i haven't finished s4 yet and kath hasn't shown up yet so idk

tbh I’m not a huge fan of them. Like I appreciate them in flashbacks because I think what happened the first time Klaus tried to break his curse is really important for Klaus, Elijah and Katherine as characters. But I felt like their season four plotline was very random and ooc for them both.

I’ve spoken before on my feelings for Katherine (shortly: iconic in a lot of ways but pathetic in more) and that’s not really her fault more tvd’s writing and the stefanafication of her character, but I never really felt like she had any real care or love for Elijah. Nor did he imo, outside of when she was human. I do think his relationship with her is interesting, mostly because it exposes a lot of his flaws as a character and a man (*dramatic thunder*). The way he views her leaving and saving her own life as an unforgivable betrayal compared to how he views Elena’s attempts to protect herself and her family as a forgivable and completely understandable betrayal is pretty interesting.

But idk overall I think s4 could have done without them, like it gave us my pride and joy American Gothic- so I do appreciate them for that. But the fallback just felt like a very random blip for both characters. Since s5 goes on to captain the ‘Katherine is a simp for st*fan’ ship, and The Originals states pretty severely that Elijah never loved Katherine at all. (Daniel I think has also said this a few times which is kinda funny). I might like them more if their story was told a little more coherently, but it’s tvd so that unfortunately wasn’t the case lmao.

the vampire diaries for the second ask game

favorite male character: uhm, all the male characters were super shitty tbh, even klaus, who yes is a sycophant but also my favorite hybrid and the love of my life. i'll say klaus i guess but he was pretty fucked up on tvd. if not him then tyler.

favorite female character: CAROLINE!! my one true love honestly. she's so self made and resourceful and independent, but also super flawed in a way that felt v realistic and relatable which inspired a connection between me and her.

least favorite character: damon 100%. he's the absolute worst he probably crawled out of hell and not in a cute way like klaus.

prettiest character: liv parker, i loved her curly hair so much. also caroline and bonnie obvs, and anna and elena. and katherine. pretty much every female character on tvd.

funniest character: stefan or klaus, probably. stefan has a really dry and oddly self-deprecating humor, and klaus is an absolute brat which i find hilarious and v endearing.

favorite season: haven't finished s2 yet but i like it better than s1.

favorite episode: i don't think i have one tbh.

favorite romantic ship: oh, i have so many idek where to start. elejah, forwood, steroline, or klaroline (even bamon if i'm in a good mood)

favorite family ship: elena/jeremy or elena/jenna

favorite friend ship: bonnie/elena/caroline

worst ship: dullena, klaus/elena (although it's a guilty pleasure hate pairing for me but it def won't amount to anything else.... ever)

Another snippet from my original female character and Elijah story. 10 years had past since she witnessed his death and her pain never lessened. It grew worse every time she came to pay her respects. She often wished to have died with him , maybe in death she’d be at peace or feel nothing at least. She sobbed,tears poured down her cheeks.

“Elijah ... mi amor porque me duele tanto , porque no puedo olvidarte . Te extraño tanto”. Her hand clutched her heart again. “Daría todo por verte una vez mas” she felt an unwelcome familiar presence.

“You’d give anything to see him again huh”? Y/N turned and looked into the eyes of her twin sister Daliera. “What are you doing in here ? “Can you let me mourn in peace”?She spat clearly upset . “Sister must you always be like that with your own blood”?, “Besides you knew the price you’d payed when you decided to meddle in the affairs of humans let alone fall in love with the abomination that was Elijah Mikaelson and his wretched family”. Daliera said in disgust.

“He was NOT an abomination”she shouted furious the wind had picked up a bit , “Dont speak of his name , I know what you did to me , to him ,you cursed us . Me forever to be in his shadow and him to have his true love by his side and never be able to recognize it , to suffer with others that would never really truly love him”.

“Well I think I went easy on him dont you think”? Daliera smiled wickedly. Y/N’s hand was fast and swift as it made contact with her sisters cheek. “Keep that forked tongue inside your mouth , dont make me forget that we are related, it doesn’t bode well for you sister”, she threatened.

“You! Threatening me”Daliera laughed. “Seriously you ... who’s never hurt a fly on purpose”.

“Sister you forget that my side is darker than yours , that Im the worst of what we are and that the only anchor that I held onto was the man I loved”. Y/N body shook. “When he died my control shattered and now I struggle everyday to keep it a bay. So please goad me , I beg of you this planet needs a global cleansing , Ive been iching to let loose for eons”.

“Ohhh Im shaking in my boots”Daliera chuckled

“Why are you here”? Y/N coiled ready to strike.

“Direct to the point I see”Daliera bit her lip playfully.

“Please be quick your presence angers me and that group of people over there Y/N pointed to a family of tourists “looks eager to meet their maker”.

“That’s dark sister even for you”. To which Y/N shrugged her shoulders in response. Daliera could see that Y/N was at her wits end, she was treading on dangerous waters having endure so much thanks to her malingering and jealousy.

“You’d give anything to see your beloved Elijah again , yes”? She asked while circling Y/N.

“Yes”she quietly answered trying to keep calm, this was a trap she could feel it. Daliera was sick like that, playing with her emotions.

“Would you do whatever it takes to bring him back” ? Because if that’s the case, I can tell you where he is and the means to procure him”

That was it Y/Ns eyes changed colors , her hand went for her sisters neck. “That is impossible, you try to insult my intelligence again and I swear to you ... sister you will spend a 100 lifetimes putting yourself back together”.

“There is nothing impossible for us Y/N you of all people should know that”.

“We don’t meddle with the dead! but I’ll humor you ,Whats the catch? Daliera” Y/N asked annoyed yet her interest had been peeked.

“You will need a witch , a powerful one”.

“There is no witch powerful enough to take me wherever he is . So you are waisting your time here” .

“Let me tell you something in the proper english lingo ,Fuck off and leave me in peace” , “I’m not interested in your charade”.Y/N turned to leave.

“What about Hope”? Daliera suggested . Y/N stopped suddenly , her sisters audacity knew no bounds. ‘How dare she’?!

“Do not bring Hope into this .She’s been through so much as it is . She lost her mother , her father , her uncle and she almost died at the hands of the hollow. She’s at peace living her life and I will not bother her with something that will not work”.

“She’s the child of your own imaginings , she belongs to you , make her”.

“Never”! Y/N quickly answered “Now you may think because of the dark power I posses I am like you manipulative and vindictive , that I bend everything and every one to my will , you are wrong . I’ve never been like that nor I choose to be”.

“How boring” Daliera rolled her eyes. “Any way Hope is the way to see your beloved again , I just wanted to let you know”.

“What do you gain from this information Daliera ? What do you want from me”?

“Nothing sister I just wish to make amens ... for all I’ve done” Daliera lowered her head in sign of defeat.

“Make amens”?! Y/N eyes blazed in fury “Make amens” !! Daliera was pushed into an alley wall hard , she was paralyzed, she couldn’t move or speak.

“There is nothing you can say to undo what’ve done to me , to Elijah , to my family because they were my real family . You on the other hand with your feigned innocence are a bitch who couldn’t stand me being loved by one of the most wonderful beings that had ever existed” . “The Niklaus to my Elijah but unlike him , I do not shared love for you in the slightest”.

“So sister this is my gift to you with all the darkness I carry here is my wish” she grabbed her sister chin forcefully... “I wish for you”Y/N whispered softly “to be cursed to roam alone and unloved for all of your miserable existence”.

“Y/N you cannot do this!! , please don’t do this”!! Daliera’s tears cascaded down her cheeks.

“It is so because I desire it and it wont be undone. Goodbye” Y/N took a step back and turned walking away.

“Y/N it will work!! Please” Daliera screamed . “Dont leave me like this” ,Whatever it takes!!!

Y/N kept walking , her dark power flowing to her body , now she knew where she was heading of to next Mystic Falls ... “Whatever it takes”

H: How would you describe your writing style?

Abnormal but also authentic? If that makes sense and doesn’t sound ridiculously pretentious lmao. I think my style, particularly in plastic crown and what did you bury? is a bit eclectic and chaotic at times. But the disorder of it is pretty true to how my mind works so I think its honest in that regard. 

I don’t know, I’m a slut for imagery, especially if its a bit out there. I worry sometimes it feels like I’m just making random relations for the sake of drama but the vibes are always there for me when I write it lmao. I feel like when it comes to metaphors I try and balance between romantic and odd.

K:  Do you have guilty pleasures in fic (reading or writing)?

Reading: Not really tropes so much as guilty pleasure pairings... I’m down bad for Bamon fanfiction- I hate that man with my whole soul but their chemistry was insane. (plus I feel like they’re the best pairing I’ve found for Bonnie centred fic. If anyone has any other recs for Bonnie fics that’d be great)

But if we are talking tropes - I usually despise dark!fic but that mostly comes from the fact that I feel not enough is done to make up for the often heinous acts that one half of the ship commits in the early chapters, so I will put myself through alot if a fic has the male love interest like.... properly groveling lmao. Like I want this man throwing up and crying on his knees just a whole mess of guilt. Which probably isn’t a good desire but after reading so many “Female character is abused, assaulted etc and then made to take equal blame/accept literally the most batshit apology in the world” or some other sorta vibe fics I think I deserve the therapy lmao.

(also disclaimer: I don’t think anyone would actually care but I don’t have any one fic in mind regarding the aforementioned ‘dark!fics’ - I’ve been reading fanfic since I was like 11 so there’s probably hundreds of fics I’ve read that would fit this criteria. spuffy fandom how you doing lmao??) 

As far as writing goes, nothing so far. But if I somehow end up writing an Elijah grovel fic (heaven forbid tho I definitely wouldn’t rule it out) you can count that lmao. 

U: Is there a pairing you would like to write, but haven’t tried yet.

BEKLENA !!! I feel like this might be kinda obvious to anybody who's read plastic crown but I have such an intense adoration for this pairing that has a tendency to bleed into my elejah works. I really wanna give this pairing its own space in its own fic at some point because I really think there's a lot there.

In that same vein, I wanna do some stuff with bonlena. I've got a few ideas around but I just really love them and think that they're very misunderstood in fandom.

YES! I’m continually amazed by the fact that literally anyone even reads the fics I post let alone comments on them. Especially PC since it’s essential just me venting all my tvd related trauma lmao. I only started writing fic a few moths ago and fully expected nobody to say a word so to recieve such in depth and encouraging feedback has been absolutely amazing.

5. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

none yet- might update this answer if I ever post one that does but tbh I’m kinda a pussy so it’s unlikely. 

6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?

INYD ig? since it’s the only one I’ve actually finished and imo does have an undeniably happy (if open ended) ending. I can promise that Plastic Crown will aswell when I finally get around to finishing it.

I haven't but I won’t rule it out. If I did it would likely be something way too niche/ self-indulgent and nobody would read it but thats fair.

8. Have you ever received hate on a fic?

not yet but I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if a disgruntled salvatore brother stan left one considering I absolutely annihilate them in pretty much all my fics. or if I ever get around to writing for dair, the chck/blair fandom does not know how to act in my experience. (just for the record I have zero issue with people that like the salvatore brothers, they’re hot i get it, it just aint me lmao)

9. Do you write smut? If so what kind?

Yes! I haven’t posted it yet but my upcoming fics and future pc chapters both have smut. (considering upping pc to explicit actually)

not that famous, doubt I will be lmao

no but if anyone did I think my heart would literally explode

no and I doubt I will, my writing style is very messy and.. not unique per se just fucking weird ao I don’t think it’d work.

13. What’s your all time favorite ship?

my number one is probably Elejah, I started shipping them casually as a crackship in 2020 and it just sorta spiralled and now they own my whole ass. There’s just something about both their characters that works on this really base, fundamental level that I don’t think any other tvd ships did. Elijah also represents this sorta... opportunity for autonomy to Elena that I genuinely don’t think any other character did. 

I think he has this sorta unconditional respect for her that I find really interesting. Because it can be argued that the salvatore brothers respected Elena sometime, but that respect and kindness came with very clear conditions for her behaviour and feelings (specifically just that she.. not be like Katherine. and any time she stepped even remotely outside that box any respect or kindness from them would completely disappear.) So the way we see Elijah continually show this odd, twisted, respectful affection for her even under insane conditions where Elena has not only stepped outside that “morally perfect, madonna” box but is actively working against him and his family is really refreshing. My favourite example of this is the last time we see them interact in American Gothic. The way the show makes it look like Elijah is going to hurt Elena to save Katherine, threatening the salvatores over the phone, only to reveal her just chilling next to him. And then while she’s on her no humanity shit, basically bullying this 1000 yr old man, he’s just kinda.. humouring her and lowkey flirting. like

“I remember reading that in a letter once.”

“Well the writer sounds positively gifted. I’m sure he meant what he wrote.” with that little fucking smirk and he’s just looking at her kindly. Even when she has no humanity and is completely devoid of all the virtues other characters define her and value her on. idk I just fuck with it.

They’re also hot. 

I also really love dair, cheleanor, whouffle, tenrose, vandermarin and haleb (been thinking of writing a mona, caleb, hannah poly fic but I’m literally the only person who wants that)

14. What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

none yet... but there’ll probably be many lets be honest.

15. What are your writing strengths?

I have very strong opinions about like character and areas of it that I think have been neglected by canon. And I think I’m able to communicate them and talk about them in a way people find pretty interesting. I think the fact that all the fics I write are like major passion projects is quite helpful, because so far I always feel pretty fulfilled writing them alone, so the responses, while abasolutely amazing, aren’t necessary for my motivation as a whole.

16. What are your writing weaknesses?

PLOT. A drawback of the whole “character study” thing is that I start there and kinda intent to find the plot as I go. which is harder than I thought. 

is it not enough to just have character breakdowns and vibes? 

17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

I respect anyone that tries but it’s unlikely I ever will.

Author’s Commentary: I just wanted to say that I changed the summary a bit to be more related to the plot of the story. I do that often when I first start a fic, so that’s why it’s different than before. Also, yes, I’m posting the next installment, despite having just posted the first one yesterday! I’m actually five almost six chapters in instead of four, like I stated yesterday, and I don’t want to sit on these finished chapters for long or else I’ll never get around to posting them.
