Adventures of Aaravos (Roleplay Status)

Below is the list of people I’m roleplaying with, Anonymous and Users. For anyone curious about each storyline, I’ve written a summary under the status.

Summary: A little girl visits Aaravos at his mirror where they have a curious conversation.

Summary: When a strange (somewhat deranged, Aaravos thinks) woman barges into Viren’s dungeon room, Aaravos finds himself freed by her through dumb luck and repays the crazy woman by helping her to track down two Startouch children she’s looking for.

Lilit-Replied

Summary: The Startouch prisoner finds himself visited by a Moonshadow elf named Lilit, who offers to free him. Seizing this chance, he accepts their help and finds they have more in common than he first thought the longer he spends with them.

Summary: An introduction. Feral, a fox-girl creature of some kind, sneaks into the dungeon room Viren keeps Aaravos’ mirror. There they have a chat which started a game of questions that never really ends…not that he minds. He doesn’t mind the company when she pops in once in a while after this first meeting, after all.

The Archmage’s Apprentice-Replied

Summary: An alternate universe where Aaravos doesn’t commit the crimes that lead to his imprisonment. He arrives at Katolis Castle one day after the quest of the Dragon Egg is complete, offering his services since he’s learned what the child king wants to do and wishes to help him in his goal. In the process, Aaravos takes Fallon (other user’s OC), the adoptive sister of Callum and Ezran, under his wing as his apprentice when she expresses interest. It does help she is also a Startouch elf, of course. At least, he hopes it will.

Summary: Lady Kendra Corbyn is a Dark Mage who specializes in apothecary branches of her craft. For years she has been enduring unwanted advances from Lord Lilan, a fellow aristocrat whom she despises for many reasons (including his inability to accept ‘no’ as an answer.)

One day Kendra receives an unusual and curious gift from Lord Lilan (likely with the purpose of annoying or upsetting her…) It turns out to be a long, ornate mirror with runic symbols along the gold frame. Where Lord Lilan purchased it from, she doesn’t know. That no longer becomes her greatest concern, however, when she discovers the mirror’s own secret…when it lights up to reveal a library and an elf inside.

Moonlighttinkered:

An alternate universe/storyline where Aaravos is freed by Ethari (the muse of the other blog) and to repay him, Aaravos helps Ethari free Runaan (and Rayla’s parents) from the coins. In the process they develop feelings for each other (but Ethari is still with Runaan as well) that will eventually lead to a new development in Ethari’s existing relationship (AKA, Ethari is poly, Runaan agrees to it after some convincing, but makes it clear at the time he wants no part in what Ethari does with Aaravos.)

The RPs under “An Unusual Visitor” are future event (mostly) Slice of Life moments after Runaan as well as Rayla’s parents are back and Aaravos is living in the Silvergrove with Ethari and Runaan as an “honorary Moonshadow” while waiting for Queen Zubeia to decide whether or not to pardon his past crimes, with Ethari playing attorney for him.

An Unusual Visitor-Replied (links still under construction)

Summary: The main storyline, summed up above.

Stabbed in the Back-Complete

Summary: That moment someone you thought you could trust tries to (literally) stab you in the back... (Context: Takes place during “An Unusual Visitor” after Ethari uses Dark Magic to free Runaan from the coin. He tries to attack Aaravos with a knife as a result of the side effects from using it.)

Arc 1: A New Start

After Ethari freed Xadia’s most ancient and mysterious threat, as well as the three Moonshadow elves thought to be deserters or dead respectively (Rayla’s parents and Runaan) it’s time to finally go home to the Silvergrove. Understandably, the others don’t warm up to Aaravos too quickly, but over time he earns his place in his new home. Even Runaan starts to view him as a friend eventually.

It’s a new start for Aaravos as he adapts to living in a quiet village and experiencing a domestic relationship with the elf that made it all possible. Not that he minds any of that really.

Simple Days-Complete

Summary: One rainy day Aaravos sits with Ethari in his workshop where they spend some quality time together.

Magic or Madness-Complete

Summary: Ethari comes to Aaravos asking for his help with illusion magic. Aaravos happily agrees.

Quiet Cuddles, Moonlit Puddles-Complete

Summary: Ethari is missing Runaan who left for a solo assassin mission, so goes to Aaravos for company, which is in the form of sleepy morning cuddles.

La Tomat-Complete

Summary: In which Aaravos assists Ethari in cooking dinner one night.

Sick Moonlight-Discontinued

Summary: Ethari is sick and Runaan asks Aaravos to look after him (Ethari) while Runaan is teaching the assassin trainees. This is a new experience for the Startouch, but he takes it in stride…mostly.

Quiet Nights, Troubled Sights-Complete

Summary: Runaan is still haunted by the aftereffect of the month he was in the coin but has been keeping it quiet from Ethari. When Ethari leaves for a supply run, Runaan caves and seeks out the one person around that also has experienced the torture of that forced isolation, though even longer than he has. He gets more than he ever expected from this decision.

Sleeping Starlight-Complete

Summary: The night Aaravos joins Ethari and Runaan in their bed for the first time.

La Tomat part 2-Complete

Summary: One rainy day Aaravos is home alone. It’s almost dinner time and neither of his housemates have returned yet so he decides to cook for them that night.

(Branching-Timeline) Break Out-Complete

Summary: Ethari has been captured by humans for unknown (but likely sinister) reasons...which is how Aaravos and Runaan find him when they arrive to rescue him.

(Branching-Timeline) Sold Moonlight-Replied

Summary: Ethari is late returning home from a supply run, so Aaravos and Runaan go out to look for him. They soon discover things are more serious than first believed... (Warning: Possibly sensitive content)

Curing Boredom (NSFW)-Complete

Summary: Ethari comes to Aaravos expressing he’s bored...and perhaps feeling needy in a special way. Aaravos gladly provides a cure for his “problem”.

On the Road Again-Complete

Summary: After a year of waiting, Aaravos finally receives his final verdict from Queen Zubeia...and is more than eager to take advantage of the new freedom he has been given when he gets it. In the form of tagging along on a Supply Run to Raven’s Roost that turns out more eventful than any of them bargained for.

Arc 2: Home Again

Ethari has been freed and the trio are home at last again, but things are not back to the way they were entirely. The events of their trip to Raven’s Roost have left everyone shaken, and scars run deep in Ethari, especially, as he tries to move on. He is not alone, at least. As Runaan and Aaravos do what they can to help him.

In the process, new feelings are finally addressed, and new members are added to the odd family in the form of six small kittens and the gradually permanent residence of Aaravos’ Starider, Andromeda. Oh, and Aaravos finally gets some help with his own untreated trauma from both before and after his three century long imprisonment as well.

Magic or Madness 2-Complete

Summary: Ethari attempts to cast spells again for the first time after the journey back from Raven’s Roost. He realizes that it will be much harder this time after all that happened to him...even with Aaravos’ help.

Midnight Terrors-Complete

Summary: After being freed from the coin he was imprisoned in, Ethari is still haunted by those weeks he was in there. One night, when it’s only him and Aaravos in the quiet tree home, a trip to the bathroom turns out more eventful than he meant it to. (AKA Ethari has a freak out from ptsd, Aaravos takes care of him)

Secrets Unspoken-Complete

summary: The caterpillar starts broadcasting Aaravos talking to himself while drunk. Ethari hears and learns a few things from this.

A Box of Kittens-Complete

Summary: One day Aaravos brings home a box of kittens. Kittens from the West of the continent.

A New Pillow-Complete

Summary: A soft moment where Aaravos uses Ethari’s lap as a pillow. Ethari doesn’t mind.

Pawdon the Interruption-Complete

Summary: Starlight and Sunspot devise a plan to steal the night’s dinner.

Trying Something New-Complete

Summary: Ethari and Aaravos try something different in the bedroom. (It isn’t as kinky as that sounds)

An Unpleasant Trip-Complete

Summary: Ethari trips down the stairs and Aaravos sets the break for him.

Summary: Ever since Raven’s Roost, Aaravos has wondered about something. That something leads to him performing a little experiment that turns into a sort of game...toward Runaan.

Sick Starlight-Complete

Summary: Runaan finds the great archmage in a most unflattering state indeed. Bedridden with a horrible illness. Some awkward TLC and bonding occurs.

NSFW: An Uncommon Discovery-Complete

Summary: Runaan discovers something surprising about the commonly in control, unshakable Aaravos. Following this, they decide to try something new in the bedroom as a result. (Warning: Very NSFW)

A Different Kind of Healing-

Summary: Aaravos goes to see Runaan’s ‘mental healer’ at last. Learning things about his past, his present, and his future through his sessions with her… (AKA: Aaravos finally goes to therapy.)

The Turn Point of Polaris-Complete

Summary: Aaravos wakes up heavily drugged and bound in chains, with only a vague recollection of what occurred beforehand. It soon becomes more clear to him when he then comes face-to-face with the once-High Mage then King of Katolis, Viren. A man he was fated to meet, one way or another...and the very same man that tortured and imprisoned his beloved Daw Alqamar only a year ago.

Aaravos now has a decision to make...one that will have very big consequences on his freedom, his loved ones, and Xadia as a whole...

Arc 3: The Lost Year

After Viren’s final defeat and Aaravos’ punishment is shared willingly by his family (Ethari, Runaan, Astil, and the newest member: Claudia), the five find ways to pass the time.

From another attempt to hit Aaravos with a sleep spell to exploring the large space they occupy, with new discoveries and path changes along the way...this will be quite the experience for everyone.

Magic or Madness 3: Moon and Stars-link coming soon

Summary: It was thought that only Aaravos was able to master a source other than that of his race...but that turns out not to be true when Ethari displays some very un-Moonshadow behaviors and choice making.

Giving In-Complete

Summary: It’s been three months or so since the group settled in the new prison space. Runaan has stubbornly avoided Aaravos, and the other has returned this habit in response. Finally, one gives in and confronts the other...possibly ending this tension between them to return to some normalcy. At least within the prison space they all share.

Act 4: A New Home

After the year in the new mirror is up, the five occupants are let out and Aaravos goes with Ethari and Runaan to Katolis, where King Ezran, in thanks for their part in taking down Viren (even Aaravos’ to an extent) gave them a new house to start fresh in.

Now they adapt to life in a human village, and the new challenges and discoveries that come with it.

What starts as a possible plan for escape turns into something deeper as he proceeds to befriend his new companion. Filling not only the silence, but his loneliness as well in the process.

A Surprise in the Forest-Replied

Summary: On their travels, Aaravos and Isla come across a child alone in the woods. After saving him from freezing to death, they agree to care for him, if only temporarily as they look for his family. In the process, Aaravos isn’t sure how to feel about his new role...will he be able to go through with this to the end?

Summary: After being somehow targeted and effected by the mysterious power of a grey, faceless entity...Aaravos finds himself an unwilling (at least at the start) hybrid elf for a couple of days. Isla suggests they make the most of it while they can...resulting in some high-flying shenanigans.

Summary: After Peccantum freed Aaravos from his three century prison, the two Startouch elves began their journey West to the Human Kingdoms. There they hope to start a new life where Peccantum can practice his Dark Magic without threat of execution or worse. This journey is not without obstacles, however, as they find out. For one, Peccantum is now a marked man, and there are those actively looking for both outcast Startouch elves… Will they reach the Boarder before their pursuers can reach them?
