I swear every algorithm on every website is actively and purposely worse now. Where you'll be scrolling through vids after searching for something (I was looking at crochet stuff) and SANDWICHED IN THE MIDDLE OF ACTUAL SEARCH RESULTS... YOU KNOW. LIKE THINGS RELEVANT TO THE KEYWORDS I TYPED

are a couple of completely out of left field SHOCK VALUE VIDS. like to intentionally be alarming. drama vids and things you're enticed to click on bc they're upsetting, and deep deep closeups on zits. what the fuck is going on. Sandwiched between videos about GRANNY SQUARES. crack? is it crack we're smoking????

It's honestly so crazy that most women I know who have used hormonal contraception at some point are like yeah I begged my doctor to find an alternative because it made me want to kill myself lol . How can we send people to the moon but not think of a better pregnancy prevention method than pills that make you clinically depressed

#my best friend had a massive ovarian cyst rupture in december and has been struggling with severe depressive episodes since she got her iud #& when she asked her gyn she was like ok just cut out all sugar caffeeine alcohol and take supplements and exercise more #it can't POSSIBLY be the iud. the data does not support that.#well i went on google scholar for literally 10 seconds and found a literature review that concludes the exact opposite. how are you licensed #prescribing women the suicide pill on masse without even telling them about the side effects. how is that legal.

I thought if I came home and immediately got into bed I could salvage something resembling decent sleep before I leave for the airport at 4:30 AM but it turns out that I am still in fact bound by bedtime rules and also being bouyed by excitement at seeing my hometown again so suddenly even just for two days. So I guess I'm here in bed not sleeping.

#Weirdly more efficient to fly back to my old doctor and get these cysts taken out of my head #Chicago Healthcare is... Lacking in my experience. doctor confirmed that 👉 this guy 👈 got pcos and i just got an implant to at the very least get my whacky periods under control and hopefully get them to stop entirely

#i also have thought about how i was cared for today #i go to a free place that has rotating doctors so i didnt see the same one that told me to get a ultrasound of my ovaries + blood test #previous one was a cis woman and she insisted me having multiple cysts on my ovary (that was double in size to the other one) wasnt enough #(for a pcos diagnosis) so she insisted i redo my blood test on the 2nd day of my period #which i didnt realise at the time is dumb as hell cause my periods are so chaotic im not even sure when they start and when they stop #the doc i saw today was a trans doctor (using iel in french! love to see it) and after i explained my situation was like #well theres no point to check your hormones here since we dont have a point of reference #and your ultrasound shows you have multiple cysts in your ovary so thats pcos #then explained to me what that does to your body & all that its not dangerous per say but its good to monitor and take hormones to help #and i said i was already considering the implant to stop my periods and they said that can be arranged today #told me the other alternatives and the risks associated with the implant but tbh my choice was already made #i mean of course idk how much cisness and transness has anything to do with this #but i had seen another cis doctor about my periods being whack when they started being whack #and he did an ultrasound saw nothing and was like “well nothing wrong with you” and that was the end of it #i definitely felt more comfortable and better cared for in the hands of a peer #(also i had to try three pharmacy to get the implant cause the other ones were out of it #walked way more today than planned but good day regardless!)

I have either a cyst (acne) or a swollen lymph node right in front of my ear (like where ur jaw/cheek meets ur ear. Right in front of it) and idk which. If it gets worse I’ll go to the doctor I guess

So my cyst is back and I called my doctor and made an appointment like three weeks out because "it's only the size of a marble right now"

And wouldn't you know, it's tripled in size in that time due to inflammation and whatever other fresh hell is taking place under my skin

This is fucking miserable actually. Bracing myself for another x-hundred dollars in doctor visits (I have insurance but for whatever reason they don't cover this shit 100%) and many uncomfortable conversations with my boss begging to leave early so I can actually see said doctors, and however many weeks of itching and discomfort and drainage that lay ahead of me ✌️

Do not respond to this post that it could be more serious. It's being looked after. However well intended or important you may think it is to say, please just do not encourage my panic to kick on. Thanks for understanding ❤️❤️

lump in my armpit i've ignored for like a year,,,,, getting an ultrasound on friday 🧍

#saw an NP today and at first she was like 'seems like a cyst' and just suggested I go to a derm for an ultrasound and/or biopsy #but then she felt it some more and couldn't tell if it was movable or not and she said 'you're scaring me now girl' GREAT #so she was like 'let's go ahead and do the ultrasound' so that's happening friday #hmmm :))))))#as for why I just ignored it: too busy (lame excuse but it's true) didn't change size and only every now and then was tender #like when putting on deodorant #but oh boy #health anxiety is going up and down #personal
