This interaction has been in my head for a while.

Steve Harrington was pissed. Livid, even.

All he had wanted was an adult beverage after a long ass day at work, which he certainly got. The whiskey sours were fucking great actually. That wasn’t the problem.

The problem was the model of a bartender.

This guy was—Shit.

Tall as hell, and lean, but his arms boasted enough corded muscle that Steve couldn’t help but wonder what the rest of him looked like.

Damn, horny brain.

This guy had a riot of curls stacked on his head in a bun, which had been another nail in the proverbial horny coffin. He had chocolate brown eyes and fucking plush lips that boasted a lip ring. A lip ring.

How was Steve supposed to remain sane under these circumstances.

Robin couldn’t come out tonight so Steve was alone and just—watching this hot ass bartender work. God, he was such a creep. But this guy was so—suave, laughing with patrons, acting like he owns the place—it was some type of dive bar, plastered with tour posters and framed photos and musicians. Guitars hung on the walls.

The guy—Eddie—his name tag read, had on ripped black jeans, tattoos covered his arms and neck—Steve wanted to see where else they were hiding—his nails were painted black and he had on a faded Metallica shirt that sat tight across his lithe frame.

God—he probably did own this place. Steve really just stopped at the first place he could find, on his way back into town from a meeting. Congratulations to him for making a great fucking choice.

Steve was being a creep, watching this guy interact with someone, when he turned his attention on Steve himself. Eddie flashed his a smile—Christ, even his teeth were fucking pretty.

“Can I top you off, sweetheart?” Eddie purrs.

God, you can just top me—Steve thinks. He watches as Eddie quirks an eyes brow, before he schools his expression, flashing Steve a simmering smile.

“Don’t threaten me with a good time, big boy.”

Steve’s eyes go wide. He said that out loud didn’t he.

you thought your life was over when your psycho, end-of-days conspiracy theorist austrian neighbor kidnapped you. the guy barely spoke a word when he shoved you into his fancy, decked out underground bunker. he mumbled something about last minute supplies, locked the door, then left.

you knew the world was over with all the shaking, explosive noises, and how you watched your neighbor literally melt into the ground through the cameras you found. oh well, at least the place is well-stocked. food. booze. a weird CD collection. (there is such a thing as too much yanni.) you’ll eventually run out of supplies and die, maybe go crazy from isolation, but at least you won’t be a chunky puddle of ooze.

three months later, you’re a little weirder and a full on yanni-isseur, but life’s not so bad. you talk to yourself a lot. work out a little. puzzle. again, you could be ooze. fighting for food. running, ew.

then a buff guy with a grown out mohawk finds the hatch. uh oh. he tries to open it for a few hours. shoots it, even. no dice, thank god. you’ve watched creed about a dozen times and know home alone by heart, but you don’t think you could take the guy. he gives up and slinks off. almost steps in the remains of the neighbor.

a couple of days go by, and mohawk returns. but he’s not alone. three other men—big, brawny, and also armed—are with him. and the one that’s only slightly smaller than the austrian has a mean-looking pry bar. you hold your breath, glued to the cameras, and watch the four of them take turns on the hatch.

you think they’re close to giving up, until the one with the scraggly beard tries again.

thunk.

the sound of the hatch practically echoes throughout the bunker.

“think anyone’s down there?”

“only one way to find out.”

Also, totally not me grieving, but what if Ruin fucked up and just managed to turn several trillion people and animatronics into cats instead of collapsing their dimensions.

So, then, after Solar 'dies' Moon is just standing screaming meanwhile newly kitten Solar is pressing his face against Moons legs in confusion because he's tiny and cold on the floor and doesn't know how to move besides wriggling like a worm.

gonna say, something or someone being misogynistic is on its own a good enough reason not to like it or not to spend time with that person. It's not just that misogyny is so normalised that not watching a show or not spending with someone just because of misogyny is treated as not enough of a reason - it's also that as a woman, you are under constant scrutiny and constantly thrown tests to show that you are 'not one of the difficult ones', that you can 'take a joke'.

But 'your friend keeps saying degrading things about women' is a good enough reason not to hang out with that person or not to go to a gathering. 'i read the last book by his author and it was deeply misogynistic' is a good enough reason why you don't want to read things by that author anymore. 'This comedian specifically makes a lot of mean-spirited jokes about women' reason enogh not to watch that or see that show, even if your friends want to go. 'This content creator keeps going on weird tangents about women' reason enough not to watch their stuff or support them.

and it is especially a very good reason not to date someone.
