The platonic urge to shove Nico towards Clarisse and make them friends because imo children of Hell and War should stick together and terrorize the world just to cope.

I miss the old PJO fandom. Ever since the show came out everyone has been so toxic. I honestly don’t even wanna interact with the fandom anymore cause everyone is so damn mean. Stop cancelling everyone and freaking out about fancasts. Kind PJO fans moot me! This is a safe space!

Things different pjoverse characters had done/had happen to them, with little to no context:
Piper mistook Clarrise for a guy and thought ‘he’ was trying to hit on Drew(she’s 12).
Annabeth and Percy were laughing hysterically over it for 10 minutes straight before they could explain anything to her.
Clarrise and Will stole baby Chuck on multiple occasions.
Clarrise is a token ‘responsible adult in the eyes of most mortal parents of younger demigods.
Mortals with no connection to the supernatural look at her like she’s about to molest their kids and brutally murder their families.
All of the Argo || crew jump up in their seats whenever they hear Clarrise yelling at someone.
Percy and Annabeth did the same thing when they heard Coach Hedge yelling for the first time.
Will, Drew and Clarrise occasionally have true crime watching parties.
In the Myth!Ares AU, Aphrodite has kidnapped Clarrise, as she puts it ‘to bond’.
After that they ended up in jail.
Drew called Piper ‘Silena’ once, the same way you’d call someone ‘dad’ or ‘mom’ accidentally, she didn’t speak to her for a week and just cried because she couldn’t forgive herself for replacing her sister.
Clarrise’s smirk is - chin up, look down at you and smile while curling the sides of her mouth down
Drew’s smirk is - chin down, look up at you, grin and wrinkle her nose.
(I have no idea why you need this info, it’s just how i picture their dynamic.)
Ares and Athena cabins have an archive of everything they know about everyone at camp, that they use for planning of capture the flag.
They have a separate archive for hunters of Artemis.
Percy and Clarrise train together a lot. Percy says it’s because he wants to beat her up.
In actuality it’s because at this point Clarrise is the only person who can beat Percy in combat. And they’re the only people, they can train with, using their full range of abilities and power.
Clarrise threw what remained of her helmet into the attic of the Big House after the battle of Manhattan, she now wears none or on rare occasions takes one that belonged to Silena.
Silena’s helmet is covered with ornaments that she scratched onto it and filled in with silver.
Drew and Clarrise both say ‘don’t be mean’ whenever they hear the other talking to someone they have a tendency to be mean to.
Both of them picked that habit up from Silena.
Will once asked Clarrise and Drew to be ‘more ally’
Those two got offended that they ‘have to tone down their gay’
Will just wanted to introduce them to Nico, and needed them to look less judgmental so he wouldn’t think they’re homophonic.
Piper lashed out at Drew for doing something mean, while in Drew’s eyes it was her attempt to create a better relationship with her

Stupid Crush (Nico di Angelo x Son of Poseidon)
This was something that suddenly came to mind and I couldn't help myself :) Hope you enjoy it.
Summary: It wasn't just the fact that Nico had to reveal his crush on Percy in front of Cupid, but when your boyfriend, the twin brother of said boy, was also in attendance, Nico's life was destroyed.
tags: Nico confesses his crush on Percy, however he's dating you, reader is Percy's twin brother, things get angsty 😈
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nico’s heart pounded in his chest as Cupid’s mocking voice echoed around them, his magic coiling around Nico's soul like a noose. Jason stood on one side, his blue eyes wide with concern, while you—Percy’s twin brother and Nico’s boyfriend—were on the other. Cupid’s voice dripped with cruel amusement, cutting through the silence like a knife. "The truth, Nico di Angelo. Tell them who once held your heart."
Nico’s throat closed up, his worst nightmare unraveling before his eyes. This was the moment he had fought so hard to avoid—the truth he had buried deep within himself, even from you. But there was no escape now. Cupid’s magic tightened, pulling the confession from his lips like a venomous secret. "I
" Nico’s voice cracked, his fists trembling as he clenched them at his sides. "Percy Jackson."
The air in the room shifted. Your breath hitched, but Nico couldn’t bring himself to look at you. He knew what he would see—shock, hurt, betrayal, the crumbling of the trust you'd built together. The pain he’d been dreading. "What?" Your voice came out in a cold, broken whisper.
Nico swallowed hard, staring at the floor. "It was before I met you, before Percy got with Annabeth. I thought—" He stopped, the words turning to ash in his mouth.
But you could read between the lines. Now everything made sense, how Nico easily allowed you to befriend him; you weren't special, just a boy who shared the same face as someone Nico loved. Loves. "So, let me get this straight. You're only with me because my brother didn't return your feelings? Am I just your consolation prize?"
Nico’s head snapped up, panic swelling in his chest. "No! No, it’s not like that!"
Your eyes narrowed, fury replacing the initial shock. "Really?" you spat, taking a step toward him. "Because from where I’m standing, it sounds like you settled for me when you couldn’t have Percy."
Nico’s voice wavered as he pleaded, desperate to make you understand. "I didn’t settle! I chose you because I love you. That crush
it was stupid. It doesn’t mean anything anymore!"
But Cupid’s laughter echoed again, cruel and jagged like shattered glass. "Ah, but old feelings never truly die, do they, son of Hades?" The god’s voice teased, his presence hanging over them like a storm. "You can hide it, bury it, but the truth always has a way of surfacing." Nico had never wanted to strike down a god as much as he did now. "Now that the truth is out," Cupid continued, his mocking tone fading as his presence disappeared, "I'll leave you to deal with the consequences."
Silence fell, but the weight of Cupid’s words lingered like a blade pressed against Nico’s throat.
"You played me." Your voice, thick with unshed tears, barely above a whisper but laced with so much pain that it felt like a physical blow. "You say you love me, but if Percy hadn't chosen Annabeth
if he had even shown the slightest interest in you, would you still have ended up with me?"
Nico froze, the question like a dagger to his chest. He wanted to deny it, to say that nothing would have changed the way he felt about you. Perhaps your friendship did arise from some misguided crush on Percy, but as time progressed, Nico fell in love with you. You. But even then it took time for him to distance who you and Percy were, sometimes it even stunned him how much you were alike, so if Percy did magically return his feelings, would Nico fall for you? His silence seemed to confirm your suspicions as your expression hardened.
"That’s what I thought."
Jason stepped forward, trying to break the tension. "Guys, come on. Maybe we should—"
"Stay out of it!" You snapped, your voice sharp enough to make him flinch. Jason took a step back, helplessly looking between you both, understanding that this was something beyond his control.
Nico reached out, desperate to grab your hand, to stop you from slipping further away, but you recoiled. "Don’t." Your voice was quiet but firm, the finality in that one word shattering the last bit of hope Nico had. "Just
don’t."
Nico could only watch as you turned away, disappearing into the shadows. Jason hesitated for a moment before following after you, leaving Nico alone in the cold, empty chamber, the weight of what he had just lost settling deep in his bones.
When the three of you returned to the Argo II, the change in atmosphere was immediate. Gone was your usual bright demeanor, replaced by hollow eyes and the kind of blank expression that spoke of barely contained pain. Nico, too, was different. His usual quiet presence had shifted into something darker—his shoulders slumped under the weight of regret, his face pale as if he were just moments away from breaking.
The others exchanged worried glances but said nothing as you silently headed toward your cabin. The slam of the door reverberated through the ship, causing everyone to flinch, even Nico, whose eyes lingered on the door as if willing it to open and for everything to go back to how it had been. But it wouldn’t.
Hazel was the first to break the silence. "What happened?" she asked, her voice soft, her gaze fixed on Nico. When he didn’t respond, avoiding her eyes, she looked to Jason, who merely shook his head, pity etched across his features. "Nico," Hazel pressed gently, her worry growing. "You can talk to us."
But Nico didn’t answer. Instead, he stepped back, letting the shadows around him rise, and within moments, he was gone—leaving the others standing in silence.
Days had passed, but to Nico, each one felt like an eternity. Every hour that dragged on without your voice, without your gaze meeting his, was a torment he hadn’t anticipated. The coldness that had settled between you was suffocating. Whenever Nico approached, even just to be in the same room, you’d find some excuse to leave. He could sense it, the way you tensed whenever he was nearby, the way you averted your gaze, as if looking at him was too painful. And that hurt more than anything—knowing he was the cause of it.
The others noticed the growing distance between you two. The worried glances exchanged over meals, the whispers behind his back. Jason and Hazel, in particular, kept trying to reach out, but Nico had shut himself off. What could he say? How could he explain the rift when the mere thought of it made his chest ache? Even Leo, who usually cracked jokes at the dinner table, had grown more subdued, as if the tension in the air had smothered his usual cheer.
Nico couldn’t bear it anymore. He had to fix this—he had to at least try. He couldn’t stand the silence, the void that had replaced the closeness they once shared. So, one night, when the Argo II drifted quietly through the sky and everyone had retreated to their cabins, Nico ventured out onto the deck. The night was cool, the stars twinkling above like distant, indifferent observers to his misery. But that wasn’t what caught his eye.
You were there—alone, standing at the edge of the ship, staring out into the horizon. For a moment, Nico just watched you, his heart aching at how much he missed simply being near you. He could almost imagine everything was fine—that you were waiting for him, that you’d smile when he approached, kiss his forehead, and mention how he needed to take better care of himself.
Gathering his courage, Nico stepped forward, his footsteps soft against the deck. "Can we talk?"
You stiffened at his voice, but didn’t turn around. For a few agonizing moments, there was nothing but silence. Then, with a sigh, you spoke, your voice devoid of the warmth Nico so desperately missed. "I don’t know what there is left to say."
Nico’s heart sank, but he pressed on. "Please, just let me explain."
At that, you turned to face him, and Nico saw the exhaustion in your eyes. The sleepless nights, the weight of betrayal, all of it etched into your features. "Explain what, Nico?" Your voice was calm, but there was an edge to it, a coldness that made his chest tighten. "That you were in love with my brother? That you settled for me? That I wasn't your first choice? Do you think words are going to fix this?"
"No," Nico whispered, stepping closer, his voice strained with the weight of everything he wanted to say. "No, I don’t think words can fix it. But I never meant to hurt you. I—" He paused, swallowing hard, trying to find the right words. "It was a crush. A stupid, meaningless crush. I didn’t choose you because of Percy. I chose you because of you."
Your eyes flickered with something—anger, hurt, betrayal—but you didn’t waver. "Then why didn’t you deny it when I asked you? Why didn’t you just say that nothing could have changed how you felt about me? Why did you hesitate?"
Nico opened his mouth, but the words wouldn’t come. He hadn’t known what to say back then, and even now, he was at a loss. How could he explain that moment of doubt without sounding like the worst kind of person?
"You see?" You shook your head, your expression hardening. "You couldn’t. You couldn’t tell me that I wasn’t just second best. But, do you know what hurts the most? It’s not just that you had feelings for Percy. It’s that a god had to force you to tell the truth. If Cupid hadn’t intervened
how long would you have strung me along? How long would I have been in the dark while you carried this secret? Were you ever going to tell me?"
"Iïżœïżœ" Nico started, his voice faltering. "I didn’t mean to hide it from you. I didn’t want you to get hurt. It was just a crush. Something stupid. And I thought I’d gotten over it, I swear." He took a step closer, his eyes pleading with you to understand. "I grew a crush on Percy when we were younger—when I first came to camp. He was the hero. Brave, kind...everything I wasn’t. And I thought, maybe if I could be near him, maybe I’d feel like I belonged."
Nico’s hands clenched into fists at his sides as he remembered those days, the confusion, the hope, and the loneliness that had followed. "But it wasn’t real. Not like what I feel for you. Percy was this
this idea in my head, someone I admired from afar. But you—" His voice broke, his eyes locking onto yours with desperation. "You were real. You saw me for who I am, all the broken parts, and still cared. What I feel for you isn’t some crush or fantasy. It’s love. I love you."
You shook your head, your face twisted with both anger and pain. "But how am I supposed to believe that, Nico? After everything? How do I know you aren’t still lying to yourself or to me? You say it’s love, but how do I trust that?"
Nico felt like the ground was crumbling beneath him. He couldn’t lose you—he couldn’t. "I’m not lying," he insisted. "I swear it. On the River Styx, on my mother, on Bianca—on everything I hold dear—I love you. I don’t care about Percy anymore. What I had for him was nothing compared to what I feel for you."
The solemn weight of Nico’s oath filled the air, the magic of the River Styx sealing his words, making them unbreakable. The sky seemed to darken for a moment, a rumble of thunder far in the distance, confirming the binding nature of his vow.
But you didn’t flinch, didn’t waver. Your eyes, once filled with love, now only reflected the deep wounds left behind. "Maybe you believe that, Nico," you said softly, but the coldness in your voice made it clear that something between you had shifted, something that could never be undone. "But I can’t anymore. I can’t keep going, wondering if I’ll ever fully have your heart. Because that shadow—the one you said lingered over you—it’ll always be there, won’t it?"
Nico’s breath hitched, the weight of your words crushing him. He wanted to scream, to beg, to prove that you were wrong. That there was no shadow, no lingering doubt in his heart. But his silence, that hesitation back in Cupid’s lair, had already broken something vital between you. And now, no matter what he swore on, no matter how much he begged, you didn’t believe him anymore.
Tears pricked at Nico’s eyes as he realized that he was losing you, that you had already made up your mind. "Please
" he whispered, his voice barely audible. "Please don’t go."
You looked at him for a long, painful moment, and Nico thought—hoped—that maybe there was still a chance. But then, you shook your head, and turned away, leaving him standing there, the solemn weight of his oath ringing hollow in the night air. Nico felt the cold wind biting at his skin, but it was nothing compared to the emptiness that had settled deep within him as he watched you walk away. Alone, once again.

Imagine being Percy In last Olympian.
His partner in crime gets blown up and he lives but other guy doesn’t.
He finds out he’s destined to die painfully (or he thinks he is).
One of his closest friends calls him a coward
He trust some kid and then he gets turned into hades (hades. The same guy who sent a fury or all THREE after him and kidnapped his mother to use as a bargaining chip when he was twelve.) and then hes locked in a cell. He gets panicked and attacks the kid. (And also take care of him later and keep him out of danger.)
He gets forced to become a war general and leader at the rotting old age of 15, almost sixteen.
His best friend/crush gets stabbed for him and he blames himself.
There’s a traitor.
The traitor dies infront of him, the gf of the guy who died before.
He has to fight a war for the three days leading up to his birthday.
He has to fight Kronos.
He has to watch as the first person to truly welcome him to camp stabs himself and dies infront of him just mere seconds after he turns sixteen.
Sweet sixteen I guess.

When Percy and Annabeth inevitably get married, who’s going to be part of who’s entourage?
Obviously Tyson and Grover are going to be in Percy’s (when Percy asked Grover to be his best man ((satyr?)) Grover cried for days)
Thalia would be Annabeth’s maid of honor, and happily take up the role of disrupting Hera’s interferences
Piper was thrilled when Annabeth asked her to be a bridesmaid. Most people expect Aphrodite kids to love wedding planning but Piper knew Annabeth had been planning this ever since the underwater kiss and had everything under control. She also was on standby to talk through any nerves
Everyone is unofficially introduced to the Norse side of the family as Magnus is one of the bridesmen
In a surprising turn of events Clarisse is one of Percy’s groomsmaids. She partners up with Thalia on anti-Hera patrols
Estelle is the flower girl
Leo made their rings from celestial bronze. Diamonds matching the other’s eyes are set in the rings
Mrs. O’Leary is the ring bearer, who had to be escorted by Nico last minute because she kept shadow-traveling away during the rehearsal
Percy asked Frank and Hazel but as they were still praetors they couldn't both leave Camp Jupiter. Hazel sent Frank with a generous wedding gift
Veterans of the Athena cabin who grew up with Annabeth volunteer to make sure everything goes smoothly. They know how important this is to Annabeth and will do whatever it takes to make the wedding happen
Jason would have officiated it :'( in his stead they asked Chiron

The list of richest 7+Nico,Reyna,Grover and whoever else I decide to include
(Before and after the series ends, basically post toa vs 20 years after toa)
((Jason isn’t dead fuck you))
1.Nico/Hazel they’re literally the children of the god of riches, they have a card that has literal infinite money
2. Rachel her dad is like Uber rich
3. Will/Piper they are children of famous people (wait is Naomi canonically famous I can’t remember)
4. Reyna she’s the general of an army and one of the highest ranking officials of new Rome(yes Jason isn’t on here for a reason
5. Frank, not much to say other than he is a soldier but his family is just below upper class if I remember right
6. Percy/clarisse they’re middle class citizens not much else to say
7. Annabeth she doesn’t have any parents but she gets paid by Chiron every now and then and she’s smart enough to swindle some money from random mortals
8. Grover he has no need for money and he’s also a eco rights activist he thinks money is plant torture or smth idk but he’s higher than thalia because he uses money whenever he’s hiding to find demigods and/or is on a quest
9. Thalia same reasons as Grover except she doesn’t go on quests so she doesn’t need money at all
10. Jason. He was abandoned at the age of 2, he then joined the army at the age of 6 or smth then became a general but he was probably tricked into thinking that he doesn’t earn any money and any money that he gets on quests should be given to the senate, “because a general should only care for others you are a weapon not a human” or some bullshit
20 years after
The number 1 spot is the same with Nico and Hazel being the richest, they are however joined by Will and Frank as being their significant others
2. Rachel isn’t here and neither is Piper so this spot now gets to go to Jason and Leo, Leo probably had a major tech company and Jason is the highest ranking official in New Rome while also probably getting many gifts from lesser gods
3. Reyna is in the hunters now so this spot goes to Percy and Clarisse now joined by annabeth and whoever you headcanon to be with Clarisse for the same reasons as before
Then in number 4 we have Grover with the same reasoning as before
Then in the final spot is Thalia also for the same reasons as before

Clarrise teaches the survival class and Nico is her frequent teaching partner. As in: he is the monster the kids need to beat.
This is due to:
1/ He can summon skeletons for an against-numbers fight.
2/ He is a monster himself
3/ and for that Clarrise wants all the opportunities to fight him. She’s competitive, okay?!

Nico does hear talk of a Son of neptune in the Roman camp but can never pin down the rumors, much less the name of the kid.

something I tend to forget a lot when reading PJO/HoO is that quests are not destined to succeed. After seeing Percy and his friends succeed quest after quest I kind of forget sometimes that failure is a possibility in Fate's eyes. These are the most powerful demigods of the century, of course they are going to succeed. But Luke failed his quest, Clarisse came đŸ€ this close to failing her quest and succeeded because of Percy and his friends' help. Michael Varus failed, though it wasn't HIS quest and that had a lot to do with it. We saw with Luke and Michael Varus what happens when a demigod fails a quest, it's tragic, it hits the camps hard. I almost want to see more of that yk?

hello, are you still doing requests?
if so, could i have some sibling headcanons of nico with a hades kiddo that's really peppy and into colorful things and people find it hard to believe they're siblings at first because their personalities are polar opposites of each other?
thankyou!
Heya, I'm still doing requests but I have so many so it might take a while to get an answer, feel free to request something else though! This kind of went off track but oh well <3
Tumblr media
Don't take it to heart---Nico/opposite aesthetics sibling!reader
»»————- ★ ————-««
-The minute you skipped up to the porch of the Hades Cabin with your stripey rainbow leg warmers and a tote bag with a stupid pun about a show with something called ‘carebears’, Nico winced.
-He’d need sunglasses if he had to keep looking at you, but he didn’t really want to borrow the big yellow star ones on the end of your nose, so maybe that was a bad idea. Your first interaction went a bit like this:
You: “Heya, you're the emo kid, right? I’m new! So, where’s our cabin?”
Nico: “Uh
you're supposed to go that way.”
You: “No, that’s the Iris cabin, at least that’s what Chiron said. I’m your new sibling, by the way. Chiron said we have one in Rome too!
Nico: I- well, yes, I- we do.
You: Are they as grumpy looking as you?
-Needless to say you got off to a great start. Nico proceeded to dump your bags on one of the beds, which has a zebra print doona matching one of your headbands, and then left immediately. You shrugged it off, obviously, and started stacking your things on the coffin shaped bookshelves. You ignored the candle that was supposed to smell like ‘the souls of the damned’, and put your own flowery one next to it.
-You found out you loved arts and crafts, where you made friendship bracelets with Lacy, as well as pegasi riding. You saw Nico once, and he waved awkwardly, but went back to the small child he was glaring at quickly. You quickly became attached to a creamy coloured mare called macaroni as well, but Butch wouldn’t let her sleep in your cabin. He did take a friendship bracelet, though. And he let you weave daisy chains into macaroni’s mane and tail, so you liked him.
-You had brought a musty old record player with you after finding out that there was no wifi, but you had to pause ‘Washing Machine Heart’ [by Mitski, of course] when Nico came trudging into the now bright cabin. You’d opened all the curtains and taken the spiders that fell from them outside, dumping them in the bushes behind the Athena cabin.
-Nico stared at the squishmellows on your bed and then the dreamcatcher by one of the windows, and the row of brightly coloured converse with striped laces lined up by his three different pairs of black Doc Martens.
-He shrugged his jacket off and went straight into the bathroom, leaving a little trail of muddy footsteps along the heart shaped rug you’d put down.
-He was just adjusting to a roommate, you told yourself. It wasn’t anything to do with you personally. You hadn’t done anything wrong, maybe you should just give him a bit of space. That was a good idea. Leave him alone for a bit until he was used to you, and don’t take it to heart.
»»————- ★ ————-««
-You took it to heart.
»»————- ★ ————-««
-Months had passed, and you were thankful for the Ipad Piper [she was so nice, and she let you borrow her Olivia Rodrigo records] lent you so you could facetime the family and friends you had left behind occasionally. They had seemed to adjust to you not being there anymore, now that you knew you were a child of Hades, the outside world was too dangerous to risk. You tried not to take that to heart either.
-Macaroni was getting used to the beaded bridle you’d made her, but you were still training her to get used to flying around while you used your new weapons.
-Nyssa had helped you make them, able to actually craft a design after glancing at you scribbled drawing with glitter gel pens that you really had worked hard on. Now you had a sparkly belt with three attachments, that you could click in your spray cans too. The cans were filled with different coloured paint, only the base liquid was melted down celestial bronze flakes, so when you fought a monster, which you were still learning to do, it would seep into their eyes and turn them blind, or crack through their skin and dissolve them. You loved the spray cans.
-Drew had warmed up to you as well, and you were even invited to Barbie premier night in Cabin ten. You got to wear your sparkly leg warmers and the cropped leather jacket in a light shade of pink.
-You were making your way to the arts and crafts center with a box of clay and little paint brushes in your arms to run the pottery class [you’d been elected as head of arts and crafts pretty quickly, shared with Elsa, one of the Athena kids who specialize in weaving and sewed the cutest pajama pants] when you bumped into Nico.
-Literally.
-The box may have been a few heads taller than you, so it wasn’t really your fault, but Nico still snapped at you.
-You gathered up the little tubs of paint from the grass and apologized quickly, your chest tight with anxiety. You hurried away after that, ignoring your brother as he tried to explain he hadn’t realized it was you when he hissed curse words Drew had started teaching Harley and Lacy.
-The class went well, the scrunchies Elsa was making her girlfriend for her birthday went along well, and a few more kids than usual showed up, taking lumps of clay from the tray and working it into figures on their tables. You were making beads that you’d string onto a bracelet for Nyssa, because she always broke the plastic ones with hammers and drills accidentally.
-You thought back to your interaction with Nico and regretted it dearly. Maybe if you’d just heard him out or even apologized and blamed yourself, he might’ve come to your class to see your works, or sat with you at dinner, or even just waved from across the infirmary when you went to get panadol for your headaches.
-You knew you got them from straining your eyes to read and draw in the dim cabin, but whenever you opened the curtains or switched on your blue lamp with a cloudy pattern that you hadn’t got to use yet, Nico cleared out completely.
-It wasn’t your fault, you reminded yourself, you were just
 too different.
-People started filing out after putting their creations to the side, you complimented each of their idea’s even though you felt like getting some Ben and Jerry’s from the camp shop and curling up in bed to watch ‘10 Things I Hate About You’ again.
-The beads for Nyssa were nearly done, so you went to find a container to pop them in.
-When you got back, they had been ground into the bench until the delicate tracing of different things Nyssa likes were just shapeless brown blobs. An Ares kid, Grey, was standing with their arms crossed and a smirk on their face, which was mostly obscured by a nose that had been broken too many times.
-You stared down at the squashed clay and felt your eyes prickle with tears.
-Grey jeered at you, calling you things you’d rather not hear again, because they only made the tears fall. You rubbed your nose and smoothed the front of your tye-dyed camp shirt flat. Grey called after you, something about being a ‘rainbow prissy’. You stumbled out of the center.
-Nico wasn’t in your cabin when you slammed the door behind you, thankfully, and you hopped into bed, kicking your yellow converse off and pulling the doona over your head so you didn’t have to look at the skull filled walls around you.
-It was so dark, it was so dark and shadowy and there were bones you were too scared to ask about their origins lining the mirror in the bathroom you kept seeing things behind you in. Your crocheted blanket that used to sit across the black doona cover had been folded up a while ago and placed back in your suitcase, along with a few of the more multicolored posters and the fruity scented candles that seemed to annoy your half brother.
-You rubbed your eyes with your sleeves and held your hand over your mouth so Nico wouldn’t hear crying when he would eventually come back a few hours later, late enough that you could pretend to be asleep.

-The infirmary was busy with bleeding and laughing demigods when you wandered in looking for some panadol. Your headache was making it hard to think straight, but whenever you cried too much you got one, so you knew what to do by now.
-Will waved from over from where he was pulling a ruler, a stapler, and a glue stick out of the stomach of an Iris kid who was giggling the entire time, coughing up glitter. He grimaced when a chunk of glue hit his face. You waved back and turned the corner, heading to the rooms at the back where Austin would be. He usually had the panadol.
-Someone groaned in the corner, and you spotted Grey.
-They looked like a soggy bag of a human, their mauled nose the only definable shape. You couldn’t pull your eyes away from the grotesque demigod blob.
-Austin shuffled up behind you with a grimace, passing over a few pills and a glass of water without looking away. You gulped them down quickly as Grey let out another moan and rolled a bit on their hospital bed. Austin told you that he’d been spotted on the floor of the Arts and crafts center.
-Apparently, every few minutes one of his bones would disappear.
-It was only a few fingers at the start, then most of his ribs couldn’t be found and there was something wrong with his mouth, which Austin found out meant his jaw had decided to not be there.
-A screechy sound came from the front of the infirmary, and you both looked to the door, which Clarrise was dragging Nico through, holding him up by the back of his jacket. He pummeled at the chunky daughter of Ares, but couldn’t get out of her grip. Clarrise glared around at the staring demigods and snarled, “why is this little shit de-boning Grey?”
-You didn’t know who yelled ‘that’s what she said’ from across the room.
-”Because they deserve it.” Nico hissed a bit like a cat, glaring up at Clarisse with narrowed brown eyes underneath his floppy hair.
-Will ran up to the pair, brushing glitter off his gloved hands onto his scrubs instead. He folded his arms and stared Clarrise down until she finally let go of Nico, who dropped to the ground and then sprung back up, wrinkling his nose at the daughter of Ares, who just stuck her tongue back out at him.
-Will pinched his nose, “Clarisse, more people come in here because of you then Nico, so you don’t get to talk. Nico, just fix them, they’re too annoying to be kept in here.”
-”But people deserved to be punched by me,” Clarrise argued with a scoff.
-”And Grey deserves to lose their bones!” Nico shot back, glaring up at Clarisse and balling his fists, “they stepped on my siblings clay stuff!”

-You yawned and stretched your arms out above your head, then blinked up at the roof with bleary eyes. The skulls were gone, now it was just black concrete. You rolled over a moment later and stuffed your head back into your pillow, pulling your crocheted blanket back over your head.
-There was a ‘shing’ sound as curtains were yanked open, and you just sunk further into your comfy bed, ignoring the bright beams of early morning sunshine that streamed in and lit up the dark cabin. It made the rainbow rug in the center of the cabin even brighter, and you groaned loudly in protest. “Whaddaya even doing up so early? Go back to bed you vampire!”
-”It’s only six am?”
-”You’re more of a psychopath then I thought before,” you muttered, but made sure you were loud enough that your brother could hear you as he padded round the cabin getting changed and ready for his much too early start to the day.
-Nico huffed and the bathroom door shut as he completely ignored the hairbrush you’d given him to passive aggressively deal with his scruffy black hair. “Leo forgot the code to the safe in the big house that he changed when he was hiding those icey poles from Piper.”
-”And how are you supposed to help him remember?”
-Nico’s boots were loud on the floorboards as he trotted over. He kissed you on the forehead gently, “oh I’m not, I’m gonna go watch him suffer the consequences with Jason.”

I'm so glad I got over myself and just accepted that I'm a multi shipper. When I first joined fandom spaces I clung to only shipping one character in one specific ship and nothing else. (I was fine with other people multi shipping but me personally had to pick one for whatever reason cause my brains weird).
But now? Fuck it. I love Percabeth and they're my favorite couple to write for- However, Jercy with wingman Annabeth? Absolutely. Poly Amorous Annabeth dating both Percy and Piper because she has two hands? Definitely. Pipabeth with besties Percy and Annabeth?Absofuckinglutley. Pipabeth and Jercy in the same universe? Yes yes yes.
Do I think Percy was in love with Annabeth from a young age? Yes I do, but he was also head over heels for both Charles and Luke. In the same vain- Annabeth had a crush on Percy since she was twelve but that didn't stop Silena from being her bisexual awakening.
I absolutely adore AroAce Leo Valdez, however I will always ship Valgrace, especially when it involves Piper meddling to set them up. I love (fanon) Solangelo but Valdangelo is so heartbreakingly wholesome I can't help but love it. And don't even get me started on Jasico- more often than not I imagine them as siblings however I do love their romantic ship too. Nico and Leo are great with a lot of characters but I also like them just being single besties who gossip about all the relationship drama while they play video games.
Clarrise x Chris and Silena x Charles are my favorite canon side couples but I love Ruegard so fuck it, they're all polyamorous and dating each other. Clarrise and Charles spoil the fuck out of Chris and Silena and Chris and Silena treat Charles and Clarrise with the love they deserve.
Fandom gives me a menu of characters and I will mix and match how I please. And that's enough of my rambling, goodbye.
