This is so very true. Every time I hear someone say they edit while they write, I cringe. Sooner or later, they're going to run into trouble. . Writing and editing take two different sides of the brain. And it's really difficult, once editing, to kick the creative side back on. . Plus, there's the emotional aspect of constantly criticizing your work. It's like looking in the mirror and telling yourself that what you create isn't good enough.
