A grin plastered across his face when Nick finally left to get dressed. Yeah, he knew he looked fucking hot, but seeing it in the other’s reaction, well, it was nice. Not that his ego needed anymore boosting.

He checked his phone. Nick wasn’t gone long, but Trevor was getting impatient. Which might also have to do with the fact that they never had been on a date before. Like ever. As he was about to go to the bedroom and see what was taking him so long, Nick stepped out of the room.

“Fuck.” He raised his eyebrows and his eyes slowly moved over Nick’s body, all dressed up. Involuntarily he licked his lips.

Trevor's reaction was one he very much expected, therefore had no trouble holding the other's gaze when he was pulled flush against his chest by the collar. "Or what?" Nick dared to challenge.

He was very aware he was pushing buttons, reason why he kept doing it in his calm manner which built such a contrast to Trevor's agitated mood. "It's only fair. You can't be the only one calling me Nicky and baby and get away with it." Nick leaned a tad closer to Trevor's face. "You're lucky I'm not using bae in public."

“Or what??” He repeated, his expression showing disbelief at Nick's challenging him. “You really intend to find out, that it?” Trev glared at the other through narrowed eyes. “You know it's fucking different when I call you that.”

When his not-boyfriend had the audacity to not only hold his gaze, but even come closer and just couldn't stop talking back, Trev's fist clenched, twisting the fabric of Nick's shirt in its grip. His mouth pressed into a thin line, his teeth grinding, a vein showing at his temple.

“Don't you dare…” Trev growled.
