okay here's my big tank plan after doing a bunch of research this morning:

a small school of cherry barbs, between 6 and 9. a small school of harlequin rasboras, 6 total. either a dwarf or a honey gourami as a "statement fish". pom pom crabs, 2-3, depending on whether i can get them in town or if i have to order them from aquatic arts. probably some netrite snails for algae. sand substrate, probably still with fake plants.

I know it’s probably a pest snail but I have a soft spot for snails and I couldn’t kill him. I’m hoping she’ll leave him alone after a bit. Or he can hide from her.

What tank makes can you have for a betta in a 5 gallon tank? He’s not aggressive as I already have one netrite snail with him and he doesn’t even pay attention to it. Can I put in some more nerite snails or cherry shrimp?

From everything I’ve heard, it seems like it’s best to only have one Nerite for a 5G. However, yes, you can do some cherry shrimp, as long as you have lots of cover for them since they can become snacks for bettas.

Update: Jonathan has decided he doesn’t like snails, so he now enjoys attacking the Netrites when they’re not looking

This snail just showed up in my aquarium. He's flat on one side, almost see through Amber colored with speckles and definitely not my netrite or mystery snail. Does anyone know what he is?

Go given my best go at counting, I have 13-14 guppy fry. I’m super pumped, that means I don’t have to cull any of them before they reach adulthood! My 20g is currently extremely under stocked, I have seven guppies, five cherry shrimp and one netrite snail in there so this round of babies can just grow up and get released back into the main tank.
