Emerl dashed and weaved through the treeline, moving through the brush and trying to avoid detection. Unfortunately, he hadn't counted on seeing a squad of badniks in his way.

"Gaaah! Stupid Eggman robots! Out of my way!" He cries out. With some swift kicks and slashes from his claws, the badniks are sent flying...right past the shuttle that was approaching. He then dashes forward, not realizing the shuttle was nearby. "Stupid, unfun, and persistent Eggbots! Really went downhill after Gamma and Phi, you know?!" He shouts.

"What does this button do?" *pushes a button on Neo Emerl's chest*

*a spring-loaded boxing glove pops out of Neo Emerl's chest and punches the anon right in the face!*

"...Ya know, I did not know I even had that. Makes sense though, I gotta a lotta of boxing glove based abilities."

*a small lizard mobian child nervously approaches the three coolest people around: Surge, Kit, and Neo Emerl* "U-Um, excuse me? C-Can I have all of your autographs?" *the small child holds out a pen and paper towards them*

"Umm...I suppose so?" He says. He...never knew he had fans. He thought that was all Surge. But he takes the pen and paper, giving them their signature. It was proper, and a bit simple.

"Ah, sure! No problem!" Emerl wasn't gonna question it. Anons were unique people. He just signs with his signature. It was sharp, and in straight lines.

"Hehe! No problem! Always happy to give a fan what they want!" She says, and signs an autograph too. It was quick, and zappy in its design.

The shield was indeed cracking open. But, Surge was seeing something was looking off about Emerl. His holo red eyes were beginning to turn blue. And a narrow slit had formed in the center of his head.

"HEHEHEHE! You're really good at this!" He says, his normal words being slowly overpowered by the ancient language that carried alongside them. He then reaches through the cracks forming in the shield, to try and pull Surge through it. The electric dome didn't seem to be affecting him now.

Surge and Kit stop when the shots were fired. Surge looked pissed and annoyed. "Oh for the love of fucking- we don't have time for this! Look, not friend, but not foe! Gotta knock sense into the stupid robot ahead! His energy is reaching a threshold if not stopped, will overload him, and make his systems go haywire!" She shouts, getting pissed.

"Surge, it's getting worse!" Kit says, panic rising in his voice. He's got a device out showing Emerl on there, with various statistics that are essentially off the charts.

Emerl's robotic calculations were shut off. They were getting in the way, as his natural senses, as he finds them, were the only way forward. Then he sees the dome beginning to build, and dodges back before it comes at him.

"Hahahaha! Oh man, almost got me there! I can't believe how fun this is!" He says, before forming a Dark Shield around him. With it, he charges through the energy dome, to slam into Surge at high speeds.

Whisper meanwhile would see...Surge and Kit, running towards the field?

"KIT! HOW'S HIS ENERGY READINGS LOOK!?" Surge shouts to the fennec.

"NOT GOOD! THEY'RE ALL OVER THE PLACE! HE'S GETTING DANGEROUSLY CLOSE TO OVERLOAD MODE!" Kit shouts back. With that, they both begin double timing it, pushing themselves to go even faster

"Hahahaha! Oh man, almost got me there! I can't believe how fun this is!" He says, before forming a Dark Shield around him. With it, he charges through the energy dome, to slam into Surge at high speeds.

"Oh that is so freaking cool!" He exclaims, getting excited again. His Light Speed Attack, even mixed with Chaos Dash, wouldn't be quick enough. But...wait, that's it! He does the charge up of Light Speed Attack, but also adding in that green ring of energy from before. With that, his body was bursting with energy, electricity crackling off. It was damaging him though. "Hehehe! Let's do this Surge!" He says, before he dashes at her, his speed on equal level to hers, trying to throw a punch at her.

Emerl rolls his holographic eyes. "You decided that arbitrarily, without taking Surge's input into account. Not only that, but firing attacks into the middle of a fray doesn't really show anything but reckless abandon. You're clearly not as good of a leader as you're posturing yourself as." He says, waving her off. He then turns to face Surge, ignoring Tangle in the middle.

"Just so you know, if this knocks you out, I ain't apologizing." He says, his hand glowing with Chaos Energy. With that, he zips around Tangle, and behind Surge, and then brings his hand down with powerful force. Enough to slam her into the ground even without the Chaos Energy boost.

The smoke didn't really bother Emerl, he could see through it fine. Though he did see Lanolin go flying. What a dummy, did she seriously think that that was gonna stop either of them?

"Ugh, hold on, let me clear this smoke, because SOMEONE decided firing a rocket at us was gonna do something!" He yells before using his multiple jet engines to blow all the smoke away. It also lets him get an unimpeded look at Surge. "Hey, Surge, you still up and at 'em?" He asks her. He decides to get a reading on her energy levels, one of the perks of his new body.

Afterwards, he lands, and then flicks his hand. Suddenly a boxing glove on a spring appears out of nowhere to give Surge a sucker punch!

The holographic eyes just showed utter confusion. Old egg base? He remembers nothing of the sort in his databanks. Damnit, the one downside to overwriting the old Metal Sonic was the loss of his data. Though, surely Surge and Kit wouldn't have helped if this was true...what was going on?

No time to ponder that though, as Surge is rushing in to fight. He dashes at her as well, only he becomes intangible, as he uses that minor variant of Chaos Control he learned from Shadow. With that, he then tries to hit her in the back with a burst of chaos from his hand, just like Shadow.

"Alright, fine. If we're gonna fight...at least it'll be fun to see how much battle data I've retained!" He says, sounding excited instead of arrogant. Something wasn't right about this Metal, though whether Surge cared was another matter.
