It's a tad sad really, the first morning Daryl's ever gotten to wake up next to someone and he's gifted with this shitty feeling. This person who makes him feel this weird warmth in his belly, a person Daryl enjoys talking to, spending time with and just simply being in his company. It's an odd feeling to navigate, it doesn't necessarily feel great, makes him a bit nauseous actually, this idea he likes being around Dean.

Daryl's never had many friends before but he's certain this feeling he has toward Dean is different then that, sure theirs the sex component but there's this different thing, this kind of intangible essence. Daryl feels like he can taste this essence somehow, whatever this feeling is, this pull toward Dean that's different then a friendship, that makes his belly feel funny, makes him feel safe and nervous all at the same time. It tastes like a cigarette, not great at first but before you know it you want to taste it again, you crave the taste of it and even when you don't have it you can remember how it tasted, how it felt when the nicotine was pulled into your lungs and flooded your system.

That's how it feels when he walks into the bar on a Friday night and Dean's there waiting, feels like that rush of nicotine, flooding through his system, invading his blood stream and travelling from the tips of his toes to the top of his head. It makes him a little nauseous though, the same way a cigarette does when you haven't smoked it in a while, when its been a week and he's only had the ghost of the taste and then he's sitting next to Dean at the bar and his body is flooded with it, overwhelmed with it.

Hi. ☺️ I haven't grown tired of Regan. Not at all. I've been working (here and there) on getting an update out, but time just hasn't been on my side lately. Real life gets crazy sometimes.

Hopefully in the next week or two I can find the time and the inspiration to crank something out. *fingers crossed* Just knowing that somewhere out there, there's still someone thinking about one of my fics, hoping for more, is definitely inspiring and encouraging.

M*A*S*H* and The Walking Dead and more fandoms

Yeah, I’m stuck down a MASH rabbit hole. From season 4 on (never was really a fan of Blake and Trapper, sorry folks). Now watching the season six (or seven?) episode where you see the MASH from someone’s POV.

It just hit me.

MASH with TWD subbed in. Think about it.

Hershel is Colonel Potter.

Glenn could be Radar.

Maggie is certainly Houlihan- or possibly Beth. Michonne, perhaps. Any of the women fit that strong female lead.

BJ is Rick- that strong family man persona. His sidekick, of course, is Shane as Hawkeye. But I can’t really see Hawkeye as Shane- neither can I put Daryl in that role, Merle is defenitely a good Hawkeye though with that mouth. Daryl could be an OK hawkeye, he isn’t outgoing enough. He’d make a great Father Mulcahy, though. Both are very quiet men with a wicked right hook. There’s a lot more than what meets the eye with those two men.

Merle and Abe- they are great for Klinger or Winchester. I mean, strong ego and a streak of manic determination? I know both of them had military training- Abe in Texas and Merle never got past Basic, but they are fantastic characters to use for this.

I’d throw Shane a bone and put him in the role of Frank Burns, perhaps. Or Negan? that part is tricky, since Frank is... well, Frank. A good character to kind of throw under the bus.

And I’m suddenly developing a trash ship interest for Charles. I’ve never shipped him before but.. hmm. He’s a tricky fella to ship. Hmm.

I just love, adore- dissecting shows with such wonderful chemistry with their cast members AND characters. Perhaps, someone can write an AU with TWD as a MASH unit in Korea? I’m open for collaboration or just to shoot the breeze!

I know I will be back with more random rabbit-holing with my various fandoms, but this is where I am at the moment. Enjoying playing in the sandbox that is MASH.

Oh, and I sail Hawkahy. It’s been a blue moon since I’ve seen fics but I just read a great one on A03, go look for it, i think it just completed.

Apart at the Seams - Part 3

A Shane Walsh/Lori Grimes Walking Dead Fanfiction

Summary: This is the third and final part of my Shane x Lori Walking Dead Fanfic. The group has become divisive and has thrown their support behind one of our two leaders, who have major differences in goal and operation. Lori and Shane are getting closer as her marriage to Rick deteriorates. The split in the groups after the farm see them both living life in two very different ways. Enjoy!

Notes: This portion of the story transitions from mostly following show cannon (with some slight additions and changes) and into my own full-fledged story. The post-farm portion of it fits into the space of time between the group leaving the farm and finding the prison. Obviously, this is going to include my major detour from the series into my own creation of where I envision things playing out for Rick, Shane, and Lori. Once again, I do try to stick to more realistic ideas rather than TV show glam. I put one epilogue portion after the main sequential storyline and forgo my second epilogue. Originally, I had planned to write a whole series up to this epilogue portion, but I found I had told the story I wanted to tell. Maybe I’ll fill in the blanks one day. The letters concept is lightly borrowed from the Carl letters in the series to Negan and Rick – which I feel obligated to admit to, but I’m not sure why.
