Revan (M/F/NB) — The Heir

They’re ruthless to all the people that dare oppose Elyria. With a stoic mask that no one could ever hope to read, a tendency to cut deeper than any blade with their words alone, and a propensity for bloodshed; Revan was exactly the Heir their father— King Tylan— had wanted for Elyria.

Of course, Revan was also the only person to ever treat you like an actual human within the castle. Even when you had been warned to stay away from the unstoppable force that was the Crown Heir, you couldn’t help but be caught in the brilliant light that was their spirit.

They are tall (6’5”/1.95 m) with dark black hair, signature of the Raven House, with ice green eyes. Pale skin offset by the dark clothing that adorns their muscular physique. Revan is 28.

Seren (M/F/NB) — The Warrior

A survivor like yourself, but the haunted look in their eyes tell any that look upon them that they had been in the domain of Hell for much longer than you. Seren isn’t a person you’d normally be close with, but you can’t say that you mind having them by your side. Loyal to a fault, without rhyme or reason, Seren would gladly take an arrow for you without thinking twice.

You’re not sure if you’ll ever learn why Seren had been conscripted into the Army, but all you do know is that it probably has something to do with the scars that littered their body.

They are of medium height (5’8”/1.72 m) with dark bronze skin and shimmering hazel eyes. Auburn hair falls around their face in a mess of curls— usually pulled back— and their deceptively strong body is hidden behind simple tunics. Seren is 26.

Auryn (M/F/NB) — The Old Flame

If things had been different— if you hadn’t left when and how you did— you would probably be married to the gentle soul that was the Spy Master’s child. Auryn had been in your life ever since you both were children; after they had stumbled into the stable looking for a quiet place to read.

It seems the years, while being kind in terms of their elegance and beauty, have caused them to close off the world of wonder they used to speak of. A guarded, almost jaded, look etched within their gaze.

They are tall (5’11”/1.8 m) with olive toned skin and sapphire blue eyes. Honey blonde hair is lighter than you remember, but just as beautiful. Their lithe form hidden behind various cloaks and robes. Auryn is 27.

I have started reading Harrow the Ninth... Still in the first 100 pages and I'm already like "honestly Cytherea did you a favour getting Palamedes to blow himself up if that's the resurrection beast maths you're gonna give us, Mr Emperor, who I do not just because you are a space emperor ofc"

"Okay so... I read to page 80 yesterday whilst travelling and i have some Thoughts: Specifically about the ressurection beasts and the bad maths on like... two different counts? There were nine revanants, they've killed five, but he only says three remain. And then he lists the ones theyve killed and it's only... three? So there's three unaccounted for. Now the killing five might not be a lie because Im very suspect of his comments about ressurection so I'm wondering if the Body in the tomb is the host to one of those reverants. I'm also suspicious about the Emperor himself being one of them. And the third.... fuck it given how the body has yellow eyes and Gideon did too and she *mysteriously survived something that killed everyone else* as a child and now Harrow and Ianthe have done something fucky to Harrow's brain to make Harrow forget Gideon survived all that shit... HM!!!! Like I half wonder if the ressurection beasts persue to emperor and lyctors is because 1) he is also one and 2) they're like... mini beasts, since it seems like they'd be absorbing the reverent of their cavaliers? idk. this is where my brain is currently rattling

also because harrow has a letter for if her eyes change colour - presumably to a yellow - i have a feeling it's gonna be something she needs to not let the emperor find out if it happens cos like... gideon's eyes have already been reinforced as not a ninth-house colour and the book is taking great pains to make sure we realise the Body and her have yellow irises so!!! hm!!!!"

NB: knowing that slow death doesn't make a revenant does put away the theory that Gideon or Harrow could be full of dead-kid revenant - it does make sense on two counts why Harrows dear ol' mum and dad did that slow with all this new mechanics info.... I'm sure I'll change my mind lol

Summary: Carth questions Revan about their connection to Darth Malak

“What is Malak to you, exactly?” Carth asks as he sets their coordinates for the Star Forge under Revan’s direction.

It comes out of his mouth like a shot, and he almost regrets it, but the question is one that’s been bothering him since their escape from the Leviathan. He needs to know. Needs to be sure that when push comes to shove, Revan isn’t going to let Malak live for old time’s sake.

Revan gives him a look he can’t decipher - nothing new there - and sighs deeply instead of firing one of their usual snappy retorts. “Are you sure you want me to answer that?”

“I wouldn’t have asked if I didn’t,” he says with a touch of petulance, then quickly adds, “but if you really don’t want to talk about it I’ll leave you alone.”

Revan’s unnerving golden eyes flash a critical look his way, maybe assessing how serious he really is. Apparently serious enough, because their gaze is suddenly far away and they seem much, much older, as if the weight of the universe rests on their shoulders.

In a way, a quiet voice in Carth’s head reminds him, it does.

“Alek was everything to me,” they finally admit. Carth isn’t nearly as surprised as he’d hoped to be. “He is everything to me. We made and unmade one another in a thousand different ways and I-- I’ll kill him when the time comes because the galaxy needs him to die, but…”

“But what?” Carth isn’t sure why he keeps prodding, knows he would hate it if the situation were reversed, but something in him has to be sure.

Revan’s mouth opens and closes around empty air. They turn away.

And just like that he has his answer.

Their unspoken words hang in the cockpit long after they’ve left, turning around and around and around again in Carth’s head.

But it will kill me, too.

It doesn’t comfort him like he thought it would.

Can we talk about this? Now I don’t know the pub side of this because I only have one toon that can do this with the story order. But I find this line fascinating especially when it’s said by a sith. In fact I’m surprised by this statement and it the response from Krovos is vauge and more mission oriented.

Now at first I thought it was just a throw away reference to Revan at first especially considering the most recent news with kotor. But thinking in it deeper It’s not.

We know that the Jedi have had many temples at a time, Courasaunt being the most used through the centuries. Courasaunt was the main archive the main teaching point, the hub for all Jedi activity. Any other temples or enclaves were satellites with the exception of tython in the couple instances it’s been used.

And in KOTOR II we learn that the enclave was indeed one of these satellites. Combined with the information in this flashpoint, I think that Dantooine was a rehabilitation center.

Now why would that line be put in if it was a rehabilitation center. Well a couple reasons, one the only information the sith may have about the dantooine enclave is what was gained through Revan. Revan had a skewed point of view, they (yes they don’t fight me) were forcibly wiped of their memory through the force, and whatever was left was heavily altered to prevent them from realizing who they were. Two, it’s possible that Revan was not the only former Jedi taken and processed in a similar way, now of course likely not to the same extent because they would not know as much as Revan had.

And the fandom tends to lump sith as one group who have no morals and tend to go too far and slaughter millions, but you do have to think that’s not every sith nor does this necessarily apply to the species culture. As a mostly force sensitive culture and one that ostracizes non-force sensitives you have to assume that there are rules. And with this line you could assume that using the force on purpose to mess with ones mind in ways that will damage the mind ie; erasing memories, altering memories is unacceptable. Now this could be a subset of pure bloods, or an old rule but it’s still interesting to think about.
