He ponders the first question for quite a while. Gods, how many stars and galaxies have won his heart over his countless years admiring the cosmos? And he is meant to choose just one constellation, one small set of stars, that he loves above all else?

He hums after a long while. “I cannot choose. I simply cannot. So I shall offer you a rather esoteric, sentimental answer instead:

“Back in college, Ludwig and I would often stargaze from the school’s balcony. Whenever he could successfully drag me away from my studies, at least. Few and far between were those occasions, but— ah, well, that’s another matter.

“Regardless, he once pointed out a small patch of stars to the northwest of the moon, a small belt of dim sparkles that can barely be seen with the naked eye, and he called them to my attention. He said — hah — that their scattering reminded him of my freckles.”

He looks down like a bashful maiden, a hand touching his cheek softly. “I think of that moment whenever I catch a glimpse of those small, dustlike stars. It’s a nice memory. So I’ll say that little constellation of Ludwig’s making is my favourite. Just our secret little stars.”

(… Of course his favourite anything has to do with himself… but let’s not burst his bubble.)
