So... with Marvel, particularly X-23, on the mind a bit lately and wanting to get back into my SMT V: Vengeance playthrough, I kinda got to thinking of what would her role be in an SMT/Marvel Crossover AU. Taking some inspiration from the time she was Captain Universe, maybe she could be a Nahobino? Or maybe she could be someone like Tao or Yoko? Or maybe the Tao-like or Yoko-like role could go to a different character?

I do know if I write something for an SMT/Marvel Crossover AU, I would like to do something with Thor, both versions, where it's something like Eric Masterson is SMT Thor's Knowledge. Or maybe have it be Kevin Masterson, Eric Masterson's son? I also just had the idea while typing this of maybe writing something with Andi Benton, maybe making the Mania Symbiote like Aogami while Andi is the human who bonded. Maybe I will go with that instead, maybe so that I can try writing something with Andi meeting Nico Minoru and Laura and them going on a journey similar to what the Nahobino and company do in SMTV. Or maybe I could go with a combination of these ideas? Have Andi and Laura in roles similar to Tao and Yoko while whoever I make Thor's Knowledge is the protagonist?

Another idea is having Franklin Richards as the protagonist, with Rachel Summers as the one with a kinda similar role to Tao or Yoko. This idea popped in my head when mulling over the many possibilities for an SMT/Marvel Crossover. Franklin has cosmic power in the comics, the ability to create a miniature universe, while Rachel is one of the hosts of the Phoenix Force. Obviously, for this crossover idea, I will depower Franklin a bit, and I will probably try thinking of a mythological being for him to be the Knowledge of.

smt vv thread

more like i wanted to document this a little better than a usual twitter thread. also wanted to spend more time thinking about it.

i bought smtv on launch and started it, got a couple of hours into the first area and got freaking murked by a demon it completely shattered my desire to keep playing. which is really funny but also a testament to the smt way of saving every 2 minute because you never know when you're gonna get owned by a new moon demon.

in any case i went to target today on a journey for something else and smtvv was 20 dollars off so of course i copped it.

i think smtvv has such a strong aesthetic sense. it's peak kaneko except as interpreted by doi, which is insane because i feel like doi is doing kaneko more than kaneko has done. LOL. it's funny and cute especially when you compare smt iv/iva to smt v. i really love the school uniforms.

i was really surprised that they had like four variations on their uniform, including a sailor style and then a more preppy varsity type...i think nahobino's full gakuran with the lilies is so beautiful and i wish that we got a female character with the seifuku version because it's one of my favorite uniforms in the game.

the music in this game is also a lot of ambient noise which i love. lol. i dont know if the overworld stuff will be as strong as smtiv for me music wise but the big important scene music has been so delightful.

the first time i heard smtv stuff was at the concert and i was really floored by the instrumentals so ... i have my hopes.

in any case...

as you know obviously my favorite smt game is smt iv. so that's my baseline for comparing anything i consume re. smt. LMFAO i know the love of nostalgia blinds me but it is my everything.

so i find it really interesting that you're simultaneously painted as loser with no friends in your class but also you know the most popular girls in school. for some reason.

while i was typing this i went to go google what his canon name is and i guess it's kei amemura? which is cute. kei-san...

i'm already ready for the yuzuru/kei yaoi. a good demon hunter x demon set up.

i also think kei in general seems so...detached? there's something about him that's really whatever about the entire ordeal. kind of just being pushed along vs the other members that we've met so far.

also aogami/kei is kind offffff (pleasepleaseplasepleaspelaseplaese) lmfao

one of the things that sucks about smt in general is the inability to like. teleport to ur quest marker. like for sidequests. i grabbed what u needed dont make me go trek all the way over there

ok. finally at the first boss fight (tokyo tower) the minotaur if u will. after this we will see if i continue for the night...

Malfunction

Content: Aogami x MC, fluff, angst?

Author’s Note: This was suppose an NSFW piece, but it ended up being fluff instead because I gave up after like the third paragraph. (That’s what I get for not writing fanfic for like… years. Plus, I still haven’t finish this game, yet here I am writing stuff.) Also, the name I settle on for the MC when writing this was Yuma Nakajima because it sounded cool. I’m sure at some point we will have a canon name for SMT V’s protagonist. When I was writing this, I didn’t want to refer to him as like V or the young man.

Aogami sat in his room in Bethel Japan HQ in deep thought, “I shouldn’t be having feelings like this…” Ever since meeting and fusing with Yuma, he had started to develop feelings of intense love and affection for him. Due to the effects of the Nahobino, he started to feel human emotions such as love. Though that wasn’t a problem for him, it was the feelings of lust that came with it. He can live with his feelings of love as he knew Yuma was happy and his desires were fulfilled, even if his desires were unfulfilled. The wanting of Yuma’s body made him feel he was going against his duty as an agent of Bethel. He was meant to serve humans, not use them for his own personal desires since that’s what the forces of chaos do.

His thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door, “Aogami? Are you here?” Aogami was shocked to know that Yuma was here, he had not been called for any sort of mission or emergency. Aogami got up quickly to answer the door and saw him with his school bag, he figured that Yuma had gone straight here right after school ended, “Aogami, do you have time right?” Aogami thought for a second, had done his maintenance earlier and was on standby until the next mission or demonic attack, “I do young man, come in.” Aogami couldn’t say no to anything Yuma asked if him, the last thing he wanted was to make him upset. Yuma walked in and looked around his room, “Aogami, your room is a lot bigger than I expected and barren. Oh, I didn’t know you slept on a bed, I figured you just always lay in the capsule over there to charge when we’re not fighting.” Aogami replied, “You’re right, most of the time I charge in the capsule. I only have the bed here in case I need someone to do repairs on me. I know humans have decor in their living spaces, I don’t see the point in it.” Yuma nodded, “I see…”

Yuma walked over and sat at the edge of the bed, putting his bag on the floor next to him. Aogami asked, “Young man, what brings you here today?” Yuma looked down at the floor and thought for a second before looking back at Aogami, “I… I wanted to spend some time with you.” Aogami stood there, not really sure what to say. He knew that humans spent time together with people they had relationships with, but he never really thought that Yuma had any sort of attachment to him. When they formed the Nahobino, he saw it as a mutual partnership to protect and aid humanity. Plus, he felt that Yuma would confide better with Dazai or Atsuta since they were not only fellow humans but demon summoners of Bethel and would have better time understanding Yuma feelings due to their experiences in Da’at. After all, he was a demon and robot that wasn’t made to feel what humans feel. He would often ask questions to Yuma in order to get a better grip on human behaviors. He felt at such a loss about what Yuma wanted right now, even with all the time he had spent being fused with him.

“Aogami? Are you ok? You look troubled,” Aogami looked at Yuma, he looked concerned. “Don’t worry young man, I’m fine,” Something stirred in him when he saw Yuma concerned. He decided to not think about his troubles right now, he wouldn’t want to see Yuma in such a worried state or else he might get upset (which is the last time he wanted). Aogami should have known to stay focus on Yuma since he was here, “Young man, how did you want to spend time with me?” Yuma thought for a moment, and then said, “Can you sit next to me?” Aogami went to sit next to Yuma. There was a long awkward silence between, until Yuma scooted up against Aogami and held his hand. Aogami was shocked and confused, yet comforted by this action. Then Yuma leaned his head towards Aogami and closed his eyes. Aogami felt a sense of relief, for the time being his troubles melted away.

Not trying to be rude but... Could you please tag your aogami x nahobino ship art with nahogami tag?

I'm 100% of a "ship and let other ship" type of person but I just ask for tagging appropriately because for some people this ship is disturbing/traumatizing and some people has the nahogami tag blocked for a reason and don't want to see this ship on their dashes

Like I'm said sorry if I'm rude or something or bashing your ship, that wasn't a purpose, I just love you to tag your ship art approprietly so no one would be exposing to triggering content without their consent (unfortunately tumblr keeps promoting your art on other ppl's dashes if someone follow shin megami tensei V tag)
