First and Foremost Dio wants to be a 'good' dad in that moment he realizes he has children they are His and do not deserve to be raised by anyone but him. As a lawyer this is like, financially makes sense and is fine. Dio would also likely have a whole thing about being better than his own father so hes very hyper aware of not only not being physical to the boys but also the only self aware part of his parenting he would continuously work on is to also not be physically intimidating to his own kids. However this is Dio we are talking about so hes not actually a great parent. I think a major conflict he has to deal with is his own ideal of using his children as a way to push his own legacy and understanding his children as their own individual people. This above ideology would clash the worst with Giorno who would chafe the most under any attempts Dio would make to control him. As the oldest he also is able to be the most combative with Dio. Doesnt matter if hes in a financially secure household and out of Italy, that boy wants to be a gangstar and dammit dad you are not stopping me. The other sons, when it comes to Dio, are much more likely to fall in line. Rikiel and Ungalo are good at following what Dio tells them, Rikiel out of a fear to impress and Ungalo out of simple belief in the hierarchy of the family. Donatello is likely watching the Dio and Giorno fights to determine how its going to shake out, so his alliance between them would likely stay split depending on the situation. For the brothers dynamics, the main thing is that theres likely an unstated understanding that Giorno is the favorite, and that plays into how they interact with one another. Giorno is likely to be the most comforting to Rikiel, who in turn wont necessarily disagree with his dad during an argument but will side with Giorno on most things. Ungalo would be most swayed by material gifts and deals, so he's always siding with Dio and is the most antagonistic to the other brothers. Donatello has major middle child complex and wishes he could be the oldest. I think he and Giorno just have a bunch of philosophical arguments that never resolve because they can never convince the other of their point.
