After the evening you met Alexia, you didn’t stay for long in Barcelona. You are engaged for a film on a rather large scale since you play in an American production and for one of the greatest current directors. You are always very careful to study the profiles of people offering you roles, preferring not to play in a promising film rather than finding yourself with someone crooked.

You talked about it at one point during your exchanges with Alexia and she confided in you about all that the Spanish team has experienced in recent years because of the Federation. But that’s just part of the different conversations you’ve had over the last couple of weeks. After talking a few times on Instagram, Alexia asked for your phone number and you continued by messages and sometimes FaceTime.

Sometimes you had to change countries, but you always managed to find a time to exchange news. You must admit that when a break is taking between two takes, you hurry to check your phone to see if you have not received a message from Alexia. Little do you know that she does the same in training, undergoing the teasing of her teammates.

It's after this exchange of messages that you find yourself installed once again in the area reserved for families and VIPs, accompanied by your agent and definitely your best friend. Sofia puts her hand on your knee for the tenth time of the evening to prevent you from making it bounce in all directions. Alexia has informed you that she will not start the game, but will be in after the start of the second half.

Alexia is actually training since the return of the teams on the field and you feel the excitement running through the crowd as you see the captain treading the grass. However, it’s nothing against the clamor that resounds in the crowd when Alexia joins the rest of the team for the first time in many weeks. A big smile illuminates your face, similar to Alexia’s before she focuses on the game.

The match turn to Barca's advantage and you stay after the match when the players start their lap at the end of the game. You spotted Alexia’s mom and sister a few seats away from you but you didn’t have the courage to go and greet them. You didn’t agree on a program after the match, you didn’t want to impose yourself too much and you imagined that Alexia would prefer to celebrate her return to the field with her teammates.

You wink at her when she comes to greet her family and you were about to get up to leave the stadium when she beckons you to approach. You hesitate for a split second but your best friend gently pushes you in the back to join her, which you do timidly.

"Hi" smiled Alexia, placing her hand on yours, which is on the metal of the railing. "Can you wait for me to catch up? I'll be quick"

Your skin is hot where she's touching you and you have to use all of yourself to stay focus on the conversation you're having.

"Don’t you want to celebrate with your friends?" you ask while looking at her with your head tilted to the side.

"Maybe after" Alexia replies with some embarrassment that you have trouble understanding.

"Okay. I’ll wait for you then"

You smile and a big smile is displayed on Alexia’s face, who promises once again not to take long before joining you. So you return to the same lobby as a few days ago, accompanied by your agent and best friend. Like the other day, she goes to get you a glass of champagne and you sit on two stools at the back of the room.

You find yourself blushing stupidly when you cross the look of Eli Putellas and you hurry to half hide behind your best friend who rolls her eyes seeing you do.

True to her promise, Alexia quickly appears in the room, stopping once again at her family who kisses her and exchanges a few words with her. Your eyes meet several times during their exchange and you quickly understand at Alexia's sign of head that she wants to introduce you.

"Don’t forget to breathe, you’re going to pass out" Sofia teases you.

It’s your turn to roll your eyes, but your heart beats a little too fast when the three Putellas arrive at your height. You haven’t seen Alexia in person since you met her and with her wet hair and her bright smile, she’s even more stunning than you remember. However, you try to ignore this by listening to Alexia who make the introductions between you four.

After the greetings and exchanges of rigour, you learn in passing that Alba has seen all of your films, Alba and Eli must leave since they both work the next day.

"I’m glad you came" Alexia smiles after her family left and your best friend went to the bathroom.

"I’m glad I came" you assure her by smiling too.

You silently look at each other for a few seconds and you bite your lip, trying to hold her gaze.

"It’s weird to be in front of you after writing to you for two weeks" you finally confess timidly.

"It's weird for me too, but I'm really happy you came. It's mean a lot to me"

She takes your hand in her and when she sees your eyes going on your intertwined hands, she thinks that it's makes you uncomfortable. But when she try to take her hand back, you squeeze it, offering her a timid smile.

"Thanks for inviting me" you say, looking in her eyes.

She smiles and seems to relax, but Sofia come back at this moment and your hands are not longer in one other.

"So, what are you plan for the next days?" Alexia asks.

"I have some interviews while the film is being edited. After that I have to travel around to make the promotion of it, the film preview... And after all that I'm taking some holidays."

"Where are you going?"

"Barcelona probably" you smirk. "We have all we need here"

Alexia smirk back and keep talking with you for more time, until Mapi and some others girls come to look after Alexia. After greeting you, the blond talks to her friend.

"We're going to the restaurant Ale, you coming?"

"Do you want to come with us?" Alexia asks, turning for looking at you.

"I have to say no for her" Sofia intervenes "Early morning interview tomorrow"

You pout but Alexia smile while nodding, kissing your cheek before leaving.

"Well that went well" Sofia comments, smiling over her drink as you touch your cheek where Alexia's lips where seconds ago.

At the same time, Alexia was sighing before taking a last look at you above her shoulder.

"What is it?" Mapi asks her best friend.

"She's so beautiful. And cute. And sweet. I wish I could talk to her longer."

"So whipped already" Mapi scoffs, drawing a frown from her own girlfriend who asks her to leave Alexia alone.

You were happy, more than that actually, when Alexia says yes to you. But now you are a mess, looking at yourself in the mirror. You don't like your dress for tonight, you don't like your make up or the way your hair are. You always choose your clothes yourself, but tonight you feel like you only made bad choices.

You want to look great for Alexia, hopping that she doesn't regret to appear at your side for tonight. You warned her that there would be journalists and photographers, but it didn’t seem to bother her. You explained to her from beginning to end the way these evenings go, from A to Z, without omitting the slightest detail. You don't want Alexia to be uncomfortable or embarrassed at any time of the evening.

"You're beautiful" Sofia smiles when she entered the room.

You shrug, still looking at you before sighing. She's your friend, of course she will tell you something like this. Before you can answer anything, someone is knocking at the door again and you let Sofia open the door.

"Hola Alexia. Great to see you here" she smiles, before leaving the room.

Alexia’s presence electrifies you and you turn to face her. You let your eyes wrap around her appearance and you almost need to sit down. She’s amazing, obviously. Is there ever a time when that hasn’t been the case? When your eyes stop on her face, you realize that she is smiling softly and you take a few steps in her direction to greet her properly. You’ve been talking non-stop for weeks now, but this is only the third time you can see her in real life.

Your arms naturally find their place around her neck when she takes you in her arms to greet you. Smiling, you extend your embrace, discreetly breathing her smell.

"I missed you" Alexia whispers in your ear

It makes you shiver and you can’t hide the smile on your face.

"I missed you too" you smile softly as you step back a bit to look at her. "You are really beautiful"

"Speak for yourself" Alexia smiles back.

Neither of you has released the other when your eyes cross and you feel your breath become short when you see that her eyes descend on your lips. It’s been a few days since you’ve wondered what it would be like to kiss Alexia, even before your discussions take a little more intimate turn. A little flirty too. You discovered a funny Alexia that makes you appreciate her even more.

When Alexia’s eyes go up on yours, looking for a form of consent, you just smile at her. No words are needed. Your heart accelerates in anticipation as she leans over you, but the door of the room suddenly opens when your lips are only a few millimeters apart.

"Y/N, we have to… Oh, sorry"

You refrain from insulting your colleague (and friend) on the screen when he enters the room suddenly, making you both jump. But your gaze must speak for you since he addresses you an excuse grimace. He looks at Alexia with curiosity, who now stands awkwardly two feets away from you.

"Alexia, this is John, my co-worker" you mumble. "John, this is Alexia"

"Great to finally meet you" John says with a smile, reaching his hand to Alexia before turning to you. "We have to go, the cars are here"

"We are coming"

He smiles again and leave. You turn yourself to Alexia, who was already looking at you.

"He never knocks on the door before entering?"

She looks annoyed and you bite your lower lip.

"I'm sorry"

"Don't be. It's not your fault."

Your eyes meet and she seems to relax a little. You offer her a hesitant hand, relieved to see that she doesn't hesitate for a second to take it.

"Are you ready to go?"

When Alexia nods, you take her with you to the exit the hotel where you prepared yourself. One of the cars supposed to take you to your destination is waiting for you and you let Alexia in before you.

"Thank you for agreeing to come with me. I imagine you must have your quota of ceremonies like this" you tell her while the car started.

"A little" confesses Alexia, shrugging her shoulders, before smiling. "But it’s for me, next time it’s you who will have to accompany me"

"With great pleasure"

A smile appears on your face and you feel your stomach doing a double-flip at the idea of spending extra time with Alexia. Enjoying the intimacy that the car offers you, you put your head on Alexia’s shoulder which intertwines your fingers to put your hands on her lap.

"After that, you have no more obligations right?" asks Alexia after a few seconds of comfortable silence.

"No more for a whole month" you confirm.

You can’t wait to have time for yourself, to sleep in the morning and just have nothing to do. To be able to stay in Barcelona, in your apartment and see your loved ones.

"Will you have time for me?" asked Alexia in a shy voice.

"Obviously" you smile softly as you look up at her.

"If I offered you a date, would you say yes?"

"I would say yes if you asked me, of course"

Your mischievous smile is seen by Alexia, who smiles back at you. This isn't exactly a officially request, but it goes in your way of operating from the beginning. Teasing, lightness and above all no anticipation of anything. No obligation, just the desire to spend time together. And other than by screen interposed for once.

When you arrive, she puts a kiss on your cheek.

"Time to shine, superstar"

You blush violently, which seems to amuse her a lot. The look of reproaches that you throw at her makes her smile, even if she addresses you a small sentence of apology.

"Sorry. But I find the fact that we’re both in the spotlight when we’re socially awkward rather amusing."

She’s absolutely right, and it’s probably one of your biggest commonalities. But it also allows you to better understand the other and you appreciate that very much.

A few minutes later, you are walking on the red carpet, trying to ignore the flashes of the photographers.

"I’ll have to take pictures" you explain to Alexia in a low voice while waiting for John to finish "Normally we take only a few before taking others with our partner, but we will avoid this point"

You cross Alexia’s eyes and quickly realize that something seems to bother her. You ask her with your eyes and you are once again pleasantly surprised at the simplicity with which she seems to be able to confide in you.

"Don’t you want to be seen with me?"

"Yes, of course. But you…"

"I don’t mind. On the contrary."

After looking in her eyes for a few seconds and realizing that she's telling you the truth, you nod with a shy smile. That wasn’t the reason you invited her, after all, you’re not a couple. But you’re glad she wants to pose with you.

After taking some pictures alone, you invite her to join you by raising your hand to her. She takes it quietly, putting a hand in the hollow of your back. And you need all your concentration to stay focused on what’s going on. You look at her and smile back at her, before looking again at the photographs.

When a few extra flashes have burned your retina, you take her hand again to take her with you in the comfort offered by the cinema.

You stop by several journalists to answer more questions, still without releasing Alexia’s hand. She gives you a reassuring smile every time you turn in her direction and ask her how she feels.

After a while, you finally find your seats in one of the first rows of the cinema. At one point you received a drink and you put it on your armrest to turn towards Alexia.

"Are you okay? I know it can be a lot" you apologize, biting your lip.

"You had warned me. I'm alright, don't worry" gently reminds you a smiling Alexia.

You hum for any answer, letting yourself go against the back of your chair.

"And on top of that, a first date at the cinema isn't so unusual" smiles Alexia.

It makes you laugh and when you look at her, her eyes sparkle with malice. In spite of yourself, you think about the missed kiss in the hotel room and when you see Alexia’s look slip on your lips, you know that she thinks about it too.

You really want to kiss her right now, but the director and the producer are suddenly in front of the crowd to thanks people to be here. You don't really listen to what they say, really aware of Alexia's fingers brushing against your arm.

During the film, you can't stop looking at her to see her reactions. You talked to her about the film, but you didn't give her all the details. You loved seeing her smile, laugh or frown.

"Internet is going crazy" Sofia informs you both when the film is over.

You and Alexia followed the others into the reception room where there are petits fours and countryside. You exchanged a few discussions with several people in the field, making sure to always include Alexia in one way or another. Most of your interlocutors obviously know her, she remains a world famous sportswoman.

"Why?" you ask Sofia naively, gently frowning.

"You show up with one of the best players in the world after being officially single for years. Try again" laughs Sofia rolling her eyes.

"Oh" you just blush slightly.

Alexia smirks at you, before taking a sip of her drink. The idea of being seen with Alexia doesn't bother you, you wouldn't have invited her if it had been the case. But you’ll probably never understand people’s interest in other people’s privacy.

"Do you want to get some fresh air?" Alexia suggests pointing to the balcony with a nod.

You nod and follow her quietly. The fresh air from the outside is nice and the fact that the balcony overlooks an inner courtyard that doesn't show you to the rest of the world is just as nice.

"Are you having a good time?" you ask, looking closely at Alexia.

"Very good yes. It would have been difficult otherwise, I am in very good company after all"

You smile softly at her and give yourself control by finishing the glass that you held until now in your hand.

"Can I ask you something?" asked Alexia shortly afterwards.

"Of course" you answer by looking at her curiously.

"Sofia said you were officially single for years"

"Yes?"

"What does she mean by officially? Did you have someone hiding or something like that?"

"Oh... No, not at all. I was really focused on my career and it's always hard to manage a relationship when you are always everywhere in the world"

You shrug, but can't escape the inquisitive looks Alexia sends you.

"So... Hooks up?"

You widen your eyes before shaking your head negatively.

"No. It's not... I mean I'm not into this kind of things" you begin before stopping and looking at Alexia hesitantly "You're going to think I'm weird or something"

"I promise I'm not" Alexia smiles, grabbing your hand.

"I had someone but the distance was hard and we just fall apart. I haven't been with someone since" you mumble, blushing once again. "I... For me, sex and love are coming together"

Alexia is still smiling but you only have to look in her eyes to learn that she's not making fun of you.

"You are the sweetest girl in the world."

You roll your eyes and feel your body shiver when she put a strand of hair behind your ear. Taking advantage that you are alone, you press your face on her hand and gently kiss her wrist. You lost yourself in her eyes once again, studying at length each of Alexia’s facial features. She leans again in your direction and her breath caresses your lips when you hear John’s voice sound behind you again.

"What?!" you snap, turning in his direction.

"I… uh. The producer was looking for you, he wanted to introduce you to a friend of his" "I’m coming" you sigh with annoyance

You don’t listen to his stuttering excuses, preferring to take a deep breath to calm down. Why does the whole world seem determined to stop you from exchanging your first kiss with Alexia?

"I better go" you sigh softly as you turn towards the door.

But, before you can make the slightest step, you feel Alexia’s hand grab your arm and draw you against her. Your eyes cross for a few seconds before her lips are on yours. Her lips blend perfectly with yours and you step on your toes to prolong the kiss. Your arms wrap around her neck and head, trying to be as close to her as possible.

Her hands slide on your back and her whole smell fills you. She's everywhere and you don't know if it's that or the lack of oxygen, but you feel yourself like floating.

"Now you can go if you want" Alexia mumble against your lips, as breathless as you are.

"I'm not sure if I want to" you admit, slightly blushing.

"Do you want to go home?"

Alexia only lets half a second pass before adding something to what she just said, as if she had just realized something.

"I mean… not going back, but you know… I mean, we didn’t really spend time just physically. Well, physically, I mean in front of each other not…"

"Alexia, stop" you smile softly, putting an end to Alexia’s agony.

She seems to be grateful to you because she takes her breath while looking at you, although dancing nervously from one foot to the other.

"Sorry, it was weird" Alexia rolls her eyes.

"It reassures me a little, little things you were out of the socialy awkward category" you smile maliciously before adding "Let's go home."

James asked as he crushed his Up&Go in his hand before trying to throw it-and miss-into the trash bin

‘I don’t fucking know’

Caster replied not looking up from his phone, it was like 8:30 and he didn’t have the energy for James gossip.

‘nah-mate seriously’ he jabbed Caster in the shoulder impatiently, he didn’t answer but put his phone down and looked in the direction that James was pointing to.

it was a girl-she was a golden blonde and light eyed, freckles littered her cheeks and she looked around 5’3-5’5. She was laughing loudly, holding one of her friends hands and Caster noticed that when she smiled two dimples showed and that she had slightly pointer then average canines.

‘Wow a girl-crazy’ he rolled his eyes sarcastically.

James rambled on for a moment about blondes and how the school never got new people-which was definitely not true, they lived in Sydney there was always gonna be new people.

The girl was surrounded by one of the main groups in the school year, this wasn’t an American movie and there wasn’t really a ‘popular’ group but they where some of the friendliest and well known people in the year, Clay, Min-jun, Cindy and Jade circled around her in a weird bubble, Cindy pointed around the school yard showing her random sections and Min-Jun not so subtly gestured to random people and telling her about them.

Sighing Caster turned away from the girl and back to his friend

Dove watched as her friends chatted on the train ride home, she’d known these guys since kindy but it was weird to finally been in the same actual school.

Against his better judgement he spoke

‘wait-uh do you really have to get those…ones?’ she turned around looking at him an eyebrow raised

‘Huh?’ She didn’t say it meanly but it was clear she was on edge

‘the pocky-those are the last two’

‘Well your obviously blind since there’s like a bunch here’ she gestured to the wall behind them

few random hcs i figured i’d share!

Ponyboy grows taller than Darry by maybe 2 inches-he’s always been uber small for his age but by the time he’s 16 he just shoots up in height and is suddenly clumsier than Soda. His appetite also spikes and he gets SO mad because “I just ate why am I hungry again 😡” like bro gets so angry 😭

Darry is actually super good with little kids and babies. He makes faces at babies in the stores to make them laugh and I kinda like to headcanon his second job is a daycare worker or something because he just is super good with little kids and he just loves kids man

Also I saw the one about him having a super contagious laugh and I feel like it’s like that with all three Curtises-it’s not too hard to make Darry laugh surprisingly-if you tell him some dark humor joke he will die laughing-he has South Park humor lol-Soda LOVES dad jokes and puns. I don’t know why but I feel like if you make any sort of pun around him he’s just dying laughing. Pony’s the hardest to make laugh-he probably has teenage boy humor honestly-either that or he likes dry/sarcastic humor. if you manage to make any of them laugh then everyone in the room is laughing

Soda was a thumb sucker as a baby and needed braces as a kid but he pulled it off-he has the most beautiful teeth now though and he gets complimented on his smile a lot

I like to think Mr. Curtis was gigantic, like 6’7’’ and broad like Darry and Mrs. Curtis was pretty tall too-maybe 6’ or so, so all three Curtis brothers end up being pretty tall (Soda is the shortest tho-he doesn’t care tho because his mentality is “my brothers are bigger than me, bigger brothers = more brothers to cuddle” so he’s honestly just happy being the smallest (he’s 5’11’’ or so

Johnny shoots up in height too like Dally was out in the cooler for a few months and he gets out and Johnny is just towering over him like “hey Dal” and Dally’s so angry-

• I love the idea of Pony getting taller but also clumsier, he doesn’t know what to do with all the extra height now 😭 he totally just walks like a baby deer. And omg Darry and Soda can hardly keep up with his appetite when Pony has a growth spurt

• I love that Darry is good with babies, I can so see him being a daycare worker! I feel like when he was younger maybe Two-Bit’s mom would give him a couple dollars if she could afford it to watch his little sister and he was SO good with her. Even as she grows up she loves Darry bc she spent a lot of time at their house when she was little, I hc her to be decently younger than Two-Bit I don’t remember what I’ve said before but I think I ask I hc her to be like 7 or 8?

• I love that all the brothers have different humor, it’s so silly. Darry having dark humor is part of why he and Dally get along so well, they say the craziest shit to each other you can hear them cackling from rooms away

• I think Soda would be adorable with braces 😭😭 he probably had them kinda young like 12-14ish and he took such good care of his teeth because he wanted a beautiful smile when they came off and that’s exactly what he got 😌

• i definitely think everyone in the Curtis family is tall too- Soda definitely ends up being the smallest but he does love it

• Johnny getting taller than Dally 😭 I can so see him shooting up in height and maybe even bulking up a little and Dally is just like what the FUCK

Thats why imma try and give u my Galaxy duo interpretation across seasons, with a happy ending! :]

in last life they made food and would eat together. Pearl would sing silly little improvised songs per usual, Scott was more of a gentle humming kinda guy. The humming could put Pearl to sleep very easily, good at taming dogs, I suppose. + Last Life took place during summer. Warm happy summer, bright sunshine coming in through the windows, swimming by the river, tending to crops together, feeding the birds. Fun comfy summer together with who you love most. (this will be important later on.. /silly)

during double life soulmates shared some physical traits, due to mind fuckery done by the watchers tho, they didn't notice these changes on anyone til they found their own soulmate. Scott and Pearl got their hair ends the color of the other. Pearl tried so hard to cut it off, chopping her hair with an axe, but the teal ends only grew upwards on her new ends. In the end she resorted to "dying" it, with stuff like berries, flowers and animal blood... it sorta did the work and made her happy, but ppl also thought he smelled TERRIBLE and it was another reason to not approach him. + Double Life took place in winter, cold cold winter killing crops and freezing stray animals to death, snow storms forming like a dispute between parties, who once loved one another, now falling appart. The love is still there tho, it is and it always will be. To hate with such passion, you have to love first.

in limited life, while they *said* they were okay with one another and acted friendly while in a group environment, they still had some unresolved issues to cope with. Pearl probably looked down at the coral isles, from the frog tower. Yeah their teammates, neighbors and your mother could tell they were still not normal about eachother, but hey petty pranks and odd looks are better than torturing eachother! They still miss being together, but for both their sakes they gotta wait it out more. I can still recall our last summer, I still see it all. + Limited Life took place in autumn (different year). Autumn, where leaves start dying off, falling off trees. All that dead waste... it leaves the trees, it prepares for change. For once spring comes... they'll grow stronger once again :)

in secret life they finally found peace, forgave eachother mutually, better than they could have ever before. My sister, a flower expert (/hj), assigned them daisies, for they represent new beginnings. They finally get to be happy together, and they can be in different alliances! They have a good time when they do see eachother, no petty pranks for no reason. Scott even went out of his way to remind Pearl she didnt say "I love you" to him, to which Pearl immediately goes to apologize and say "I love you Scooott♡ does it still count?", and I swear I can HEAR him smirk as he goes ".. I'll take it..". People focus a lot on the finale I think. Healing is a process, it has ups and downs, of course Pearl is still hurt over double life, but she doesnt hate Scott. It wasnt just Gem who offered Pearl to join them, Scott very much wanted him with them aswell, and I refuse to think it was just out of "fear". He didn't wanna have to be up against Pearl again, theyd allied again, finally, fixed their issues. Just to be forced to fight again. I think they found peace in the end tho, while the Scar stays alive the other dead people stay around as ghosts, having to wait til the watchers get bored and make another season. I think they made up again after the finale. + afterall, Secret Life took place on spring. New life, a colorful flowery view, beautiful fields. All to share with a new bond, a new beginning. The new spring of an old connection. Beautiful and sweet. Similar to the summer they met.

in real life... I have NO platonic explanation for this, im so sorry but theyre literally a married couple. They ADOPTED A KID!! (Cleo, jokingly)("there you go little Cleo" "thanks mum!") I actually think they probably got engaged after the secret life finale, as ghosts, they spent a LONG time there afterall. Winners Void marriage!! Martyn officiated the wedding, Scar was Pearl's best man (theyre siblings to me but thats unrelated), Grian was their witness, I mean he had no option BUT to wintess this so.. also, during that kiss they shared, there was a spark of light in the void, in that deep darkness, the moon and his stars iluminated all around them. Back to the actual season, they can now joke around the old times no problem, they *can* have other alliances, but theyre back to good old. Like Scott said in secret life, "its destiny". Theyre faithed, way past double life, that was just a physical representation of soulmate bonds, but the connections are still real after, and were real before. I see these two bicker during real life and see a married couple, not one that hates eachother, but they tease eachother and roll their eyes at eachothers stupidity at times. They love eachother so much even with their quirks. + Real Life i'd say takes place in summer once again. Years have passed, and they passed them together. They already had something going on in last life but denied it, they were young and unsure. They've matured and are more sure of who they are and what they want. They have fun, once again, like last time.. walks along the seine, laughing in the rain, our last summer, memories that remain♡

It was really hard to do this rank. To be honest, I like all of Until Dawn's characters, I even like the last character on the list, so:

1. Josh: I hate a lot of the things he says (especially about Ashley and Jessica even if he said them to motivate Chris and anger Mike) and a lot of things he did. But I do think he's a great character because he's the most interesting one to analyse, in my opinion. He's a really nuanced character, and he's really sympathetic. Like in the end you can't help but feel bad for him because you know none of it was his fault, everything is so unfair to him and as someone with younger siblings, I can definitely understand why he'd want revenge. And I could keep going about how he deserved better... Aside from that, he has some really iconic lines and moments. Especially as the psycho, I'm pretty sure I love all of the psycho scenes. Also, Rami Malek's acting is perfect he really made a difference. Josh just brought the drama, and honestly, his reveal made my jaw drop. He's iconic.

2. Chris: so chris is my second favourite because he's just so likeable to me. I feel like he reacted quite well to the events of the night (if you don't make the worst choices), yes he was in denial sometimes but who wouldn't? And he is a bit corny but it was 2015. He's a good friend to Josh and Sam, a good (potentially) boyfriend to Ashley. He has cool lines and he just seems like a cool dude. His monk prank nearly gave me a heart attack so props to him.

3. So Sam is also really likeable. She literally does nothing wrong! She's smart, beautiful, friendly, brave... But that's also a problem. She's too perfect. Not morally grey enough to me. I wish she just reacted more to things. I wish she was meaner to Mike, and I wish she stayed with Mike and Josh in the mines. Her leaving was so random, and it's less interesting than her staying. What I really like about her development is how she seems like she will be way less pacific and friendly after all of this when you see her in the credit scenes. She just seems so changed (understandable). Sadly, we will never see this side of her. I also wish we could see more of the relationship she had with Josh while dealing with the disappearance of his sisters since we know they bonded a lot over this. But hey, we can always imagine!

4. Emily: Yes, I am aware she's really hated, and I actually used to hate her too. But then I analysed her character, and I realised she's not a bad person. Sure, she has an attitude problem, and she uses Matt as a rebound (it doesn't necessarily make her a bad person, it's "just" unhealthy) while treating him badly sometimes (this is something that I hate about her tho); But everytime she got mad it was honestly valid: Hannah trying to get with Mike? Valid. (She did, however, overreact, and the others had no business joining in the prank) Jessica who was supposedly her best friend coming up with an awful prank to pretend she's helping her out, while she actually has a crush on her bf, then dating Mike after 2 of their friends disappeared because of the prank Jessica came up with since "she wanted Mike and Emily to stay happy together"? Valid!!!! Ashley and Mike threatening her with a gun?? Valid af! So yeah she never gets mad for no reason, plus she's a very capable woman and iconic (understand the palm of my hand bitch). The fandom is unfair (and misogynistic let's be honest) towards her.

5. Mike: So Mike is both an asshole and a hero, which kind of makes him interesting to me. Like he has funny moments and reactions, but he did really fucked up stuff. Like pranking his friend who has a crush on him!? It's so cruel for no reason. Potentially kill Emily too. But he can also be quite heroic, like when he runs after Hannah when she's dragging Jess away. Or how he tries to keep everyone together and just get everyone out of here. He has great survival and leadership skills. So I'm pretty mixed on him. I do think he had a bit too much alone screentime (we needed more from Jess and Matt). I do feel like he gets away with a lot of things.

6. Matt: So I really wanna root for the guy you know? Like I want him to get out of his relationship with Emily (even tho she can truly start loving him by the end), I want him to be happy. He's a good guy. And I really like that his character development starts if you stand up to Emily. But he didn't have enough screentime. So I can't rate him higher. I will give him props for traumatising me with his telescope jumpscare.

7. Jessica: So she's an asshole to me. But she's a bimbo and she's just so silly and goofy. I just can't hate her. She also went through a lot on the night, which makes me feel sympathy for her. But I can't rate her higher because 1. She's an asshole towards Hannah and Emily. 2. Not enough screentime.

8. Ashley: I know it's gonna be controversial. I DO like her, but I just don't understand her. She's a super interesting character to analyse. She's so morally grey, but sometimes I have a hard time feeling bad for her. I do think her freaking out was completely normal, tho. I don't understand the people who hate her because of that. I just feel like she rarely feels bad for people. She's a bit egoistic. Her letting Chris die was not fair to me. Yes, of course, it's normal to hate Chris if she shoots her. But he did it because he thought he had no choice. He was under the influence of fear. He would never kill her if he didn't have to. He thought his own life was at risk. But her not opening the door was not under the influence of fear. She did it out of pettiness. She was not risking her life by opening the door. And even if she actually did it because of fear, she would look terrified while Chris is getting killed. But she was just staring. She almost seemed to enjoy it. She also wanted Mike to shoot Emily. It seems like she completely loses control when she's on stressful situations (understandable) and shows no sympathy to others. So, it makes it hard for me to connect with her. I still think she's a good character and very interesting. And she brought cool moments to the game (like letting Chris die was kind of shocking/funny and cool because it's a great butterfly effect). Forgot to mention how her honesty goes down if she shows remorse for the prank which is icky to me 😬

I think it's super amazing that what I've shared about Johanna Hellstrom and her relationship with Dieter thus far in my fics has left enough of an impression that you thought it was canon! Seriously, that's awesome and a huge a compliment. :') As for including Johanna... well, I have some Landstrom WIPs started (not posted) that include her as a main character and focus heavily and her and Dieter's relationship and my headcanons for his background as a whole, which involve her. So I would prefer she not be used by anyone else at this time. Homographs AU (AKA: My 2012 X Rise Crossover)

Just writing down some thoughts about the AU that lives in my head to make me feel better. Full names for the 12 turtles, nicknames for the Rise turtles. 12 April is just April, Rise April is Apes. 12 Casey is Casey, and Rise Casey is Cass. And finally, 12 Splinter is just Splinter while Rise Splinter is Splints.

OK? Got that? Great.

First things first, 2012 and Rise take place in the same universe. There's no dimensional hopping going on here. Yes, this messes with the timeline a lot. Yes, this means there are a lot of kinks I've got to work out. That's why there isn't a fic about it yet. I'm working on it.

THIS ALSO MEANS I'M COMPLETELY IGNORING THE MUTANT APOCALYPSE ARC!!! THAT DOESN'T HAPPEN!!!

Okay so, getting into it during the Kraang Invasion that happened in S2-half of S3 the Rise boys were completely unaware of what was happening.

All they knew was that they were on complete lockdown for a couple of months. They weren't allowed to leave Donnie's lab (the safest place in the lair) much less the Lair. But hey! Apes and her parents lived with them during that time!

Also, because of that experience, Apes' parents know the Rise turtles, and the turtles call them Aunt and Uncle O'Neil!

Cass, although already under the Rise Foot influence, REALLY throws herself into the Foot because of the invasion. The invasion really messed her up.

With the 12 people, post-series they all tried to keep themselves busy.

Leonardo with teaching Beepbop and Rocksteady how to be good guys, helping out Karai and the Mutanimles. Though most of the time he's reading through Splinter's old scrolls.

Raphael also helps out the Mutanimles (tho more than Leonardo) and goes on dates with Mona Lisa (who he eventually marries)

Donatello starts dating both April and Casey (cus fuck the love triangle). He and Casey also start a mechanics shop together (from one of the old Kraang hideouts). Casey is the face of the company, obviously. April helps when she can. Mostly with budgeting and making sure the boys don't go overboard with the repairs. (i.e. try to add weapons to clients' cars)

Michelangelo started learning how to cook properly from Mr. Murakami. He's gotten good enough to actually help out with the restaurant at night.

Also Murakami's restaurant has become a place where all mutants and yokai can come to eat. This is how the 12 people found out about the Hidden City.

The restaurant is also how they met Senor Hueso. He came barging in one day cause he thought they were poaching his customers.

Cassandra is Casey's little sister.

Casey does not go easy on Cass when they play hockey together. He knows she can not only handle it but will be mad if he doesn't give 110% when playing with her.

Cass has only met one of Casey's partners and that's April. She thinks April's nice and can definitely make sure her older brother doesn't die doing something stupid. She still gave her the shovel talk.

Cass knows that Casey has another partner she hasn't met but just thinks Casey is nervous about coming out as poly so she's just waiting on that.

Back to Rise, Donnie caught a glimpse of Tokka when she visited and that inspired Pizzasarus

Apes parents did a LOT of research on turtles after the invasion and that led a LOT of awkward situations. Like trying to feed the turtles mealworms.

Leo eats mealworms from the bag like they're chips. His brothers and Apes think this is disgusting.

After they meet, Leo offers Michaelangelo some mealworms and he tries some and says, "Oh wow, these are much better than earthworms." Leo is disgusted by the aspect of eating earthworms.

Raph was very happy that Leonardo agreed to their sensei, especially because they'd been doing the hero thing for a little bit. (Context: the officially meet during/after Donnie's Gifts)

Shelldon and Metalhead have playdates.

Michaelangelo was the one who made that Ice Cream Kitty statue that Cass breaks in the auction house

Mikey has pulled out his Dr personas on Leonardo many times because he is still a self sacrificing idiot

I'd been meaning to rewatch Utena for a while now, and your video was the motivation I needed to finally jump in again. So I'm only on episode 5, but I wondered if you had any thoughts on the symbolism of the spinning roses? Like when the white rose sort of censors a few shots during Utena's fight in episode 2, or the blue rose that appears in the corner when Miki first sees his sister in episode 5. I've found analysis on roses in RGU in general, but just the cartoon spinning roses feel like they probably have different symbolism than Anthy's rose garden, or any flowers physically in the show.

The spinning roses usually pop up when the show wants you to know something significant is busy happening. The bordered roses are actually less important and tend to only show when a character is introduced or reintroduced or to place importance to that character in some form. (in episode 5 Anthy gets a rose frame when she enters while Touga and Miki are talking).

The rose frame also pops up around Utena pretty regularly when she enters a scene. It appears when she jumps in to save Anthy at the ball, and it appears again around her when she runs over to the other characters from one of the sports fields.

The bordered roses do have meaning, but they're actually less important than the individual spinning roses.

The spinning roses however, pop up when an EVENT is important. And specifically that this event is important even tho it may SEEM unimportant. It indicates there is greater significance here than may seem immediately apparent.

In episode 5 the spinning rose shows up when Kozue is introduced, and rather than getting a frame, she gets a spinning rose. There could be a few reasons for this. Maybe because of the emotional distance between her and Miki or because the EVENT that is going on is what's most important in this scene, more so than being distracted by a character introduction. Basically, the conversation is more important than introducing Kozue formally.

There is an event much later on in the series which seems very unimportant and has no spinning rose, but when one of the characters does something that SEEMS unimportant the spinning rose pops up without the camera changing, indicating the small motion was important.

As for the "censoring" that the spinning rose sometimes does, I am a little unsure why this happens in some duels but not others, since most duels are significant events.

I would need to watch the show and take special note of every duel to compare properly. My GUESS would be the spinning rose, although not actually censoring any violence since there IS no actual violence, might be giving the SUGGESTION of the violence through censoring to communicate to the audience how devastating this particular loss of the duel is to the duelist. Especially since some duels don't seem to cause as much emotional upset as others.

However I am unsure if this is actually the case and would need to do a deep dive to be sure. So that's purely an ass-pull from me.

I also don't know why rarely a rose will pop up without spinning. But I only remember this happening during a flashback, so it might simply be to indicate this is an important event, but it is not happening in the present and is important to the character's past, but doesn't have direct importance to what is happening.

Then again I might be completely off.

The only thing I am confident is the spinning rose is the show clapping its hands and going "HEY! PAY ATTENTION TO THIS!"

Luna knocked on the house door that she was very familiar with, it open a few moments later and she was pulled into a tight hug.

“Hey J,” Luna mumbled into his chest and wrapped her arms around him as well. “Hi Lu,” Jude said as he closed the door and brought the girl into the living room.

“Lu!” Jobe called and ran over to hug her. “Hey lil bro! Missed you” Luna smiled as they did their handshake before Luna was pulled into a hug by the boys’s parents.

Luna talked to Denise and Mark are awhile before they had to go do a few things leaving all the teens in the house home alone.

“Does this mean your coming to watch my game?” Jobe asked. “I sure am! I need to make it up as I haven’t been to one in ages!” Luna replied.

“It’s because you haven’t been here in ages Lu! Oh, congrats on your f1 seat that’s insane!” Jobe added. “I know I haven’t, here now ain’t it? Thank you” Luna smiled.

Jobe soon to get ready for the game, leaving Jude and Luna alone. “Finally, I can actually talk to you alone” Jude said. “Awh, your family just love me that’s why J” Luna giggled.

“I know they do, I’m glad your here Lu” June mumbled and wrapped his arms around her. “I’m happy I am here too, I missed you like crazy” Luna added.

“I missed you too, we need to meet up more often” Jude told her. “That’s going to be hard with the schedule I’ll have now” Luna mumbled.

“We will figure something out” Jude said which made Luna smile.

Luna watched as Jude’s face lit up when he saw that his brother was going to be subbed on. Jude got his phone out to film him before clapping.

“You proud of him?” Luna asked. “Very, I’m so happy that he’s playing for his club too” Jude added. “Wish I had siblings” Luna said.

“Well, Jobe is basically like a brother to you he thinks you as his sister as well” Jude told her. “He really is like a little brother, even tho I’m only a year older than him” Luna giggled.

It was coming to the last few minutes of the game, Jude had got out of him seat and went behind in the row behind and wrapped his arms around Luna.

“I was wondering what you were doing” Luna whispered. “You okay with it?” Jude asked as Luna nodded as she leaned back in his embrace and they carried on watching the end of the game.

When the game did end, Jude and Luna made their way down the dressing rooms to meet up with Jobe. After the brothers had a moment together, Jobe pulled Luna into a tight hug.

“Proud of you lil bro,” Luna said as they did their handshake. “Stop with that nickname, your barely a year older than me” Jobe mumbled.

“I will always be older though!” Luna said with a smile which made Jobe roll his eyes and nudge Luna lightly. Luna ruffled his hair and they started to play fight.

Jude smiled at his brother and best friend. He knew that ever since he introduced Luna to Jobe first they would always get along.

Jude picked up Lunh to stop anything going further than it needed to. “Oh, c’mon why did you have to do that?” Luna pouted. “Don’t want anything to get out of hand” Jude said.

“You guys go ahead, I’ll be out there soon” Jobe said. “Alright, see you in a bit bro” Jude said as Jobe entered the dressing room.

Jude and Luna made their way outside into the car park, Jude picked her up and placed her on the front of the car as he stood between her legs.

“What was that for?” Luna giggled. “Why not?” Jude replied as he placed a hand on her leg which made shivers go up her spine.

They both looked into each other eyes for a bit, until they were cut off my Jobe shooting at them. “Yo! Do that in your own time not in public!” Jobe called.

“Oh shut up, do you want a life home or not?” Luna questioned. “Oh yeah, you drove here forgot about that” Jobe mumbled.

“I did needed, so keep quiet or you will be walking!” Luna said as Jude laughed.
