Finding telephone booths in the most remote and strange places has never ceased to surprise me. You may think that this is not so strange, but in my book it is,specially when things do appear out of place and in the case of telephone booths continue to work even though the people is gone and nature has taken over.We often ignore things like flickering fluorescent lights,or a ringing telephone on a booth in a small abandoned village. The most curious case observing a ghost walking into an abandoned telephone booth and disappearing. Whenever I travel the countryside I ask for the location of the nearest booth.Urban legends often tell stories that we believe to be just pure fiction but even in them there’s a grain of truth .One evening parked on an abandoned gas station with a telephone booth next to it,shaken violently without anyone inside, in another instance in a different town a telephone booth completely engulfed in flames next to a cornfield on a closer inspection the power line completely cut off.Isolated incidents do happen everywhere but when a region is explored a pattern is revealed.Well, I’m sure you have stories of your own you will recall after reading this. You see our reality is constantly being changed, distorted by these events, and we are simply witnessing them without intervening. For those curious enough this is in my opinion food for thought.Words by Sergio GuymanProust.

The Cameragirl || snc
Tumblr media
You've been Sam and Colby's cameragirl for some time now. Usually, nothing too crazy happened to you in most investigations, but this time...
warnings: paranormal activity, reader getting attacked, near death experience, strangling(?), cursing, angst?
a/n: took a bit of inspo after watching the boys' video of the asylum, but nothing exactly like it. just the fact that the place is an asylum

As they were making their iconic intro and explaining what this new place was about, you made sure to have a sturdy pulse whilst filming them.
"Today, it's just me, Sam and our lovely cameragirl, Y/n." Colby said, letting you shift the camera towards your face and smile at it.
"Hello there." You said, making sure your face was extremely close to the camera, merely because it has become your way of introducing yourself.
"And since it's only us today like the good old days, we decided to make something fun. ALL of us." Sam explained to the camera and smirked, looking directly at you.
You batted your eyes, looking at them while they kept on smiling menancingly at you. "This wasn't a part of the contract." You said, gaining a laugh from both of them.
You zoomed onto his face and began talking with this soft, almost narrative voice. A voice you very well knew they enjoyed. "What is this oh so fun idea you seem to be hyping about, mr. Golbach?"
"Why thank you for asking." Sam nodded slightly, moving his attention towards the camera. "The three of us are gonna do a little challenge tonight." He clapped his hands together as you began unzooming the camera, putting Colby back on frame.
"That's right, we're going to walk alone, lights out throughout some of the most haunted corridors from this place." Colby continued. "The owners of this place told us it gets freaky when people are alone, so we thought this might get us some good activity."
"We have some cameras with nightvision but we're not gonna see shit." Sam added, "After a while, we all should find our way back to the main lobby."
"So stay until the end to see how that's gonna turn out." Colby says, getting close to the camera before covering it with his hand, making you stop the recording for the cut.
"That was pretty good." You said, looking at the video slightly.
"You're still good with the challenge, right?" Sam asked, looking at you. You scoffed.
"Please. I wouldn't have come if I wasn't sure about it. Remember you told me about it before the video?"
"I know, I know. Just making sure, you know how I am." He laughs. "Wouldn't want you to do something you're not comfortable with."
"You're saying that like we haven't known eachother for how long?"
He chuckles. "You're right. I'm sorry."
"Alright, so since we're all settled, should we start right away?" Colby chimed in, looking at both of you.
"Not yet. This place has some good cinematic potential, lemme cook first." You said, looking around with your flashlight.
"Aight, we'll let you do your thing, I'll go ahead and look for the equipment." Colby said.
"Oh, shoot. I forgot to ask the owners about something." Sam said, taking out his phone.
"Go out with Colby, I'll be here waiting." You said, fixing back your camera to start recording.
"Alone?" They both asked, looking at eachother and then at you.
"I do my best work alone, gentlemen. You know that." You begin walking towards the shadiest corridor you've seen in your life, without even looking back.
"Oh wow. Fearless. She's trying to do the challenge before us." Colby laughed.
"Alright, I'll be super quick. If anything happens, just yell. As loud as you can." Sam said, smiling.
"Copy that." You laughed.
In the blink of an eye, you were left alone. You were used to these type of things, so it didn't bother you much. You've somehow become numb to all of this paranormal adventuring.
And that was one of the main reasons why you liked to take control of the camera, since you were able to keep your cool in stressful situations, making it easier for the viewers later on.
Plus, you didn't know how to act on camera and they were the professionals... allegedly.
Whenever something odd happened, you made sure to try and record as much as you could, in the best angles possible. You liked to joke around and call yourself a professional in your craft, although sometimes it wasn't even a joke.
You were passionate about it. The videos and the ghosts, it was only natural to try and do more, risk yourself to do something more interesting and outgoing.
That's a piece of yourself they loved about you. You were simply a perfect match in their combo.
As you began to do your cinematic, you began to have shivers. A sudden draft of air passing through you, as if a window suddenly opened.
Looking around, there was no possible way of that happening. You were in the middle of the corridor, absolutely no chance of an air draft simply passing through so randomly.
You thought it might've been a bit odd, but nothing you haven't felt before anyways. While you kept on making some videos, an eerie feeling of someone watching crossed over your spine.
The sensation of a presence slowly getting closer to you behind your back.
Almost feeling the heat of another person behind you, towering over you.
Hurriedly looking back, you were met with Sam's hand almost touching your shoulder. He stopped midway, knowing he got caught trying to scare you. "You bitch." You spit out, making him laugh.
"Damn it!" He said mid laugher. "I was so quiet this time, how do you always seem to know?"
"I can feel you lurking closer, you stalker." You looked away from his gaze, trying to ignore the thoughts of his pretty face. You began walking back to where he came from, meeting Colby in the process.
"I'm not a stalker, if anything, I'm protecting."
"Quietly from the shadows, sounds like a stalker to me, but you do you." You smiled softly, looking at the confused Colby.
"I left for a second, what did I miss?"
"Stalker behavior, nothing else." You said, putting your camera up again and ready to record.
Colby shook his head from side to side, already being on your side of the story without even asking further questions. "I can't believe you brother."
"Wha- it wasn't-..." Sam sighed, defeated. He knew you were joking, so he wasn't going to win anyways.
You laughed and pointed the camera at them. "Ready when you are." They nodded and you began to record.
"So as you can see, in our hands we have some devices that we'll scatter throughout this first room. If you've been here before, you'll probably be familiar, but if you haven't, these are basically some motion censor devices that will let us know if something walks infront of it." Colby explained, turning one of the devices on and showing to the camera how it worked.
As they organized everything, the REM-POD immediately began beeping. "Oh, shit. That's the rem pod." Sam said, stopping on its tracks. "That was the temperature dropping."
You made sure the camera caught that as you got closer to it. "Oh fuck. I was feeling a bit cold since we got here." Colby added. "Alright. I think we're ready."
"Okay. If there's any spirit around that would like to communicate with us, we would like for you to use any of these devices we've put up for you." Sam started, as you made sure to get far enough from everything for the shot.
"You can touch these lights on the floor, or maybe this device I have on my hand." Colby continued, pointing towards the EMF reader. "We mean no harm, we'd just like to talk to someone."
A couple of seconds passed, looking around, waiting for something to happen.
"Maybe they don't want..." Sam began, before getting interrupted by the REM-POD beeping, making you hurriedly move your camera angle. "Oop. Nevermind. Thank you very much. Can you do that again if you're here with us? To let us know it wasn't something else?"
Silence filled the room for a while, before the device started to beep once again.
Excited, they began asking questions to this entity, expecting for it to be somewhat intelligent enough to give answers back.
Luckily, it was. It seemed to be someone that died inside the asylum, a woman. Curious about the story of this woman, they kept on asking questions. Some of them being answered, others being completely ignored.
Asides from the constant beep from their device, you heard a knock coming from one of the corridors. Quickly looking around, they stopped talking. "What?" Colby asked.
"Heard something." You whispered. The room went silent, followed by what sounded like footsteps getting closer. You turn the camera back at them and their faces were shocked.
"Holy fuck." Sam whispered.
"That was like... thumps. We're the only ones here, right?" Colby asked him.
"Yeah, we're supposed to be." Sam says, walking towards the place they heard the sound, quietly. You followed close behind. "Hello?"
Nothing. They kept on looking around, searching and at the same time waiting for something else to happen. "There's no one here." Colby says. "But that was clear as day."
"Super clear, the camera must've have heard that, for sure." Sam said, looking at you as you nodded. "That was crazy."
"Yeah, let's try something else but closer to this area, maybe it's more active." Colby said, and all of you nodded.
A couple of minutes later, and you were all set up. This time around, they turned on a spirit box to try and communicate better.
The idea was to first use it as normal, then for Colby to do the Estes Method.
And so, the spirits began to talk.
"What's this." It spat out. Colby and Sam looked at eachother, smiling.
"Hello, this is a spirit box, you can use it to communicate with us. Would you mind telling us who you are?" Sam said, looking around.
"Hello?"
"Hi, hello." Colby responded. "Who are we talking to."
"I'm scared."
"Scared? Scared of what?" Colby asked, furrowing his eyebrows whilst looking at the camera.
"Behind you."
They quickly looked behind them. "Oh, fuck. I hate that." Colby said, as you smiled at their gestures.
It quickly faded away when you felt the familiar presence of someone behind you.
Heart racing, you looked around for a second, but there was nothing there. It didn't mean the feeling went away, though.
"Monster. Care..." It seemed the audio cut before finishing the whole word.
"Monster... care?" Sam asked, confused.
"Or maybe it meant careful? Like, careful of the monster?" Colby questioned.
"It would make sense. What monster are you talking about? Is it harming you? Are you scared of this monster... or... person?"
It took a while before responding. Last thing it said, before a screech filled the radio was... "Run."
Quickly, they turned it off. They looked at eachother. "That was terrifying." Colby said. Sam nodded and sighed.
"Let's try and look around for some other place. This doesn't feel safe." Sam said and everyone agreed.
For the past hour of recording, moving around and joking here and there, you felt a bit uncomfortable. Usually, you weren't the type to get scared over the paranormal, but this place felt more eerie than usual.
You heartbeat has been increasing slowly, as well as a slight pain in your chest that quickly faded. You felt watched.
There was a point where you even felt slightly touched, quickly warning the boys about it.
Due to this, they almost discarted the idea completely, thinking you might be getting targeted, scared that it might do something to you. It took you a couple of minutes of convincing them to keep on recording before the conversation was dismissed.
You tried to brush it all off, as 'something you've felt before', but deep down you were really anxious about it. Perhaps it made you feel better to think about it being just the nerves.
But you weren't the type of person to feel these nerves for no reason.
"Hey, you good?" Colby touched your shoulder and whispered to you, noticing you seemed a bit weird. "You seem out of it today."
"Yeah, I'm good. I was just zoning out."
"Yeah, I noticed." He chuckled, looking into your eyes. "You sure you're okay though?" He raised an eyebrow, seemingly concerned. "You don't look well."
"What? Do I look like a ghost to you?" You asked, smiling, which quickly made him show that gorgeous smile you loved.
"More like you've seen one." You shook your head.
"I'm fine. I've just seen some shadows running in the corners of my eye, but nothing too big to point out."
He batted his eyes. "You've what?"
"Calm down, you know I see those things all the time. It's nothing new." Half of it was true. The other half, well... there was a chance you might've seen a whole figure standing close to a doorframe, but you felt your imagination was tricking you too much tonight, so you didn't say anything.
You weren't a psychic or a medium or something close to it anyways. If anything, you'd probably consider it more like a hallucination due to the constant lack of sleep you've been having lately.
"I know, I know, but still. You could tell us about it, you know? Maybe we all see the same thing you do and since you don't point it out, we don't notice."
You rolled your eyes playfully. You were about to say something, but a breeze passed through your ear, a soft whisper saying "Come play."
You jumped, covering your ear and walking closer to Colby. "Shit." You whispered.
Confused, he held your shoulders. "What? What? You heard something?" His worry was enough for Sam to stop setting the cameras up and walk closer.
"What happened?" He asked. You looked around where you were standing.
"Did you guys not hear that?" You asked, the shook their heads. "I heard something like... right next to me." When you said that, Sam began recording once again.
"Alright, so... apparently Y/n just heard something right next to her." He began explaining to the camera, pointing it at you.
"It was like a whisper, it.. uh... it just said 'come play', like, the creepiest shit you can say. I even felt the air on my ear, that shit made me jump." You tried laughing about it to not let the mood down, but it wasn't working much.
"Although I really want to, maybe we shouldn't do the challenge." Colby said, looking at Sam straight in the eyes, genuinely worried.
"Guys. Come on. Don't back down when we're this close." You said. "We're basically done for tonight, this is the last thing we're doing and we're out, right?"
"...yeah." Sam whispered. "Let's..." He sighed. "Let's do it. Just like she said, we walk through the corridor and come back straight away."
Althought skeptical, Colby nodded. "Fine. Let's hurry up then. The quicker we begin, the quicker we're leaving this place."
And so, everyone held their cameras and said their goodbyes. The three of you went through your respective corridors and began walking, alone, with no light.
"Alright guys. I'm not good at, like, talking to the camera but I'll try." You sighed, pointing the camera at your face while slowly walking the dark corridor.
"Honestly? I'm usually not as creeped out when we come to places like this, but this one is like... up there. It's giving me the chills, making me paranoid, I feel like I'm... seeing thing. Or maybe I'm just sleep deprived. That's... that's also an option now that I think about it."
Looking around with the camera, although it's absolutely useless, you started feeling out of breath. Almost as if the air didn't reach your lungs anymore. "It feels... hard to breathe." You took a deep inhale and shakily exhaled.
You gulped, your throat suddenly feeling dry as the lack of oxygen was evident.
"I'm just gonna walk... faster. I wanna get this over with..." And so, you did. But the further away you got, the worse it all felt. You felt your vision starting to get blurry although you could barely see anything.
You paused as your vision began to get used to the darkness.
At the end of the corridor, what you could shape out like a human figure was standing there. Seemingly the same one you barely saw before.
This time, it didn't seem to go away.
You were also alone.
Unable to breathe.
You don't know when it started, but you were unable to breathe properly. You choked, trying to regain yourself from the feeling.
Your neck feeling tight, your stomach hurting at the sudden feeling.
Putting your hands on your neck, you coulnd't feel anything that would make you feel this way. You started to get worried.
You felt as if you were being choked. You tried to scream, but all that you could spat out from your lips was a soft, quiet, 'help'.
Trying to turn around and walk back, you saw the figure again and got scared, falling towards the floor. You coughed for air, sucking back as much as you could but being unable to.
Leaving the camera behind, you tried to crawl back to where you came from, but the lack of circulation on your body failed you as you coulnd't handle it anymore.
Your body falling on the floor, the camera seemingly recording your movements come to a halt.
Your eyes closing, leaving you unconscious.
It didn't take long before Sam and Colby got back to the lobby. Waiting for you, something seemed off.
They knew the corridor wasn't as long as theirs. You should've been the first one out by that logic. They've been waiting long enough and they were starting to get worried.
Even though the concept of the challenge was to be alone in the darkness, the idea of you being in trouble was too much to bare.
Heck, even if you were pranking them, the anxiety of you not coming back on time was driving them insane, they were ready for a scare if it had to come to that.
But the scare they were expecting wasn't the one they got.
Minutes of walking and calling out your name came to a stop when they saw you on the floor.
Hurriedly, they ran towards you and fell to the floor, yelling out your name. "This isn't funny, Y/n!" Sam yelled, moving your body, only to notice how cold you felt. His heart sank.
"Y/n, come on!" Colby said, putting himself on the other side, looking at Sam. The color from his face was gone when he felt her body. Colby, worried, touched your body and understood why he looked that way. "Oh, fuck. Fuck!"
Throwing the camera to the side, Colby quickly checked your pulse. "Sam. Call 911. This is serious." You still had a pulse, but you weren't breathing. First thing that came to his mind was CPR.
While Sam began to call, Colby was trying as hard as he could to help out. He began doing mouth to mouth, trying to bring some oxygen back to your lungs.
Tears streaming down both of their faces. Colby started making compressions to your chest, while Sam was talking to the 911 dispatcher and using the flashlight to illuminate Colby.
Luckily, they weren't too late. You began to cough and moved to the side to spit out some saliva. You breathed heavily and both of the guys sighed in relief.
As you tried to catch your breath, they softly held you up in place while your color came back to you. You blinked a couple of times, adjusting your view to your surroundings.
When you looked at them, they hugged you tight. "Fuck..." Sam whispered. "Let's get the fuck out of here right now." He held you softly and helped you out, as Colby grabbed all of the cameras.
It was hard for you to walk. It felt as if a ton of weight was keeping you from even standing up. It felt as if your limbs went numb, the lack of oxygen probably acting up.
Sam noticed, and didn't hesitate on holding you up and putting you on his back so that you could rest. They began walking as fast as they could, reassuring you that you will be fine.
You were focused on getting your breath back while listening to them scream at the spirits.
"You are not allowed to follow us home." Listening to Colby talk like this, while taking all of the equipment made you feel light. You started moving your arms and made sure to hold onto Sam, closing your eyes.
"You'll be okay. We're leaving." Sam reassured you, waiting for Colby to grab everything and get out of there in a rush.
After the police arrived and handed you an oxygen mask, you started feeling much better. You had some marks on your neck, like some hands were just squishing the air out of you.
Your body... at first, you could even see your veins pop out of your legs because of your lack of color. The poor circulation that ran through your body for a couple of minutes really drove your body to its limit somehow.
It took you a while to be able to stand on your two feet again, but before the police left you could walk on your own just fine. Sam and Colby however still managed to help you out.
"Let's head back home." Sam whispered to you. You nodded slightly and tried to walk on your own, only to be held up by Colby.
"Don't force yourself right now. You need some rest." He said, taking you back to the car. Your face having a rush of blood because of the gesture.
"I... I can walk."
"Let us do this. Please. It's too much already that you fainted right when we weren't with you." Sam said, looking at you, your heart racing at the look of his blue eyes upon you. You gulped.
"...f..fine." You said, resting your head on Colby's chest, making him smile.

The sky started to darken, mirroring my negative mood. I sighed, feeling fatigue slowly start to take over my body.
Turning my black car's driving wheel, I drove into the 'Crescent Hotel" parking lot. I sighed, stepping out of the car and opening the trunk.
I grabbed an outfit, and shoved it into a bag before grabbing my purse and locking the car up.
I glanced up at the balcony of a room, seeing a dark figure stare at me intensely. My eyes widened and I felt goosebumps form on my skin.
The night was dark and cold, forcing a shiver make its way up my spine. I crossed my arms over my chest, as I shivered in my white dress. I approached the hotel doors, and quickly made my way inside, protecting myself from the cold misty air that surrounded me.
I walked in, feeling a heavy amount of energy fall onto my shoulders. I frowned deeply, before spotting an adorable black cat seated on the couch. I walked up to it and pet its soft fur, feeling my heart become warm. A smile grew on my face as I temporarily forgot about the dark, sad and longing feeling that lingered in the air, before walking up to the front desk.
"Hi, can I get a room for one night, please?" I offered a kind smile to the lady seated behind the counter. She returned the smile, and handed me a room key. 'Room 201'
"You'll be staying at room 201. That'll be 130$." My eyes widened at the price, but I was desperate for sleep. I opened my purse and grabbed my wallet, pulling out 150$.
"Keep the change." I smiled, collecting my stuff before heading up the spiraled stairs.
I was walking down a hallway, when I heard a faint "Damn baby! Back it up on over here, if ya will." In an accent. I turned around, fear gripping onto my chest. There was nobody there. I was completely alone. I frowned deeply, before rushing back to the stairs.
It took me a while, but I finally made it to my hotel room. I sighed happily, despite the feeling of sadness surrounding me.
I noticed a brunette boy leaving hotel room 202 and I smiled kindly at him. He returned the smile, as my eyes wandered to the camera located in his left hand. I tilted my head and raised a brow a little bit.
"Oh. I'm sorry." He laughed. "I'm a youtuber. Me and my friends are recording a video."
I was still confused. "What's so special about this place?" I looked around. I acknowledged the negative and sad energy around me, but shrugged it off.
"You don't know?" He asked me curiously.
"Know what?" I was a lot more confused now.
"This hotel is haunted." My eyes widened. it makes sense now. The figure on the balcony and the sad energy around here. No wonder.
"That makes sense." I shrugged, rubbing my hands up and down my arms.
"Why? Did you see something?" He asked me, concern swirling behind his blue eyes.
"Yeah I saw a figure on a balcony, but i just thought it was a person. Though it was creepy enough to give me goosebumps. It also feels sad. And angry here. Like there some sort of longing feeling. I also got catcalled by something that wasn't there. " I explained, giggling a bit at the end.
"Do you mind if i record you explaining that? If not that's alright. But it would be great to let the fans know."
"Sure, Mr. Popular." I smirked teasingly. He rolled his eyes playfully and turned on the camera and angled it at me.
"Okay so tell us what happened again...?" He trailed, searching for something.
"Y/n." I smiled.
"Okay so tell us what happened, Y/n."
"Soo, when I arrived here, I had no clue it was haunted until this handsome stranger told me." I smiled and winked jokingly. "But before I came in here, I saw a figure standing on a balcony and it was just.... staring at me. It gave me goosebumps. And after that, the second I stepped foot into the hotel the energy surrounding me felt, sad. Like previous people here were longing for something. And a bit of anger was hidden beneath the longing and sadness. I also got catcalled, but when I turned around I was alone. Whatever happened here must've been pretty bad." I explained for a second time but in more detail. "I still don't know what happened here, I just know that it's haunted."
I smiled at the boy behind the camera. "I'm colby, by the way." He mirrored my smile.
"Thanks for letting me know what I was getting myself into, Colby." I giggled as he put the camera down.
"Yeah, Sure." He laughed, his deep voice sending butterflies to my stomach. Heat rises to my cheek before he continued. "If you need anything me and my friend, Sam, will be in here. And maybe our other two friends. You're also welcome to join us, we're gonna be ghost hunting."
"Yeah, I'll consider it." I smiled kindly once more. "Thanks, Colby."
"No problem." he waved, returning the smile before walking down the hall. I opened my hotel room, rushing in and throwing my bag on my bed.
I sighed happily, finally being able to sleep. I couldn't shake the feeling of being watched, and I shivered a bit before trying to push the thought to the back of my mind.
I changed out of my white dress, and replaced it for pajama bottoms and a long sleeve shirt with holes for my thumbs.
I put fresh socks on before turning out the light and quickly hopping into the big bed.
I saw something in the corner, just before fatigue took over my body.
--
'Wake up' A females voice whispered in my ear.
I shot out of bed quickly, my eyes wide. Sweat dripped down the side of my head as I looked around my room. "Hello??" I said out loud. No response.
I shrugged it off as my imagination, and tried to fall back asleep.
I rubbed my eyes, tiredly sitting up.
“Why do I keep waking up.” I whispered to myself, picking up a clock that rested on a nightstand to the left of me.
“3:33.” I read out loud. “Isn’t that an Angel number?”
I shrugged it off, before I heard a mumbling. My head shot up and stared into the darkness that lie before me.
I squinted, trying to see into the black fog. I saw a figure. Staring at me. Menacingly. My eyes widened as I froze in fear.
A faint “What do you want?” Tore from my parted lips.
It didn’t respond, to nobody’s surprise, yet still stood there.
I sat in the king sized bed, slowly building up to courage to make a run for it.
When the courage was built, I leapt out of bed and ran for the door, only to be flung away from it.
I hit the wall, with a loud ‘thud,’ before landing on the floor.
Tears welled up in my eyes after I groaned in pain. My back was definitely gonna be bruised.
I crawled for the door as fast as I could, but got violently dragged by an invisible force. I dragged my nails against the carpet.
Once it let me go I quickly rushed to stand up but got aggressively pushed against the wall. The side of my face slammed into the wall, as an unbearable pain shot through my cheek at the violent contact. A Bible flew through the air and hit me in the face. Blood dripped down my nose as I cried in pain. I heard loud knocking on my door and my eyes widened.
“Y/n!? Are you okay?!” A familiar voice shouted.
I tried to get to the door but cried out when a sharp, stinging pain shot through my back.
I sobbed, feeling myself get dragged once more before the entity let go. I jumped up and ran to the door, flinging it open. I was met with four concerned faces, three of them being un-familiar.
I sobbed into my hands, as the traumatic event played over and over in my head.
“What the fuck happened?!” Colby asked.
“Are you okay?!” The blonde boy next to him asked.
“Th-there was something in there!!” I cried out as a blonde girl rubbed my back comfortingly.
“Come to our room for a second. We’ll help you and you can tell us everything.” A black haired girl said, her brows furrowed in worry.
I nodded, following the two girls as the two boys checked my hotel room for anyone.
We entered their hotel room and I sat down on the red sofa.
The blonde girl brought back a tissue and a cold water bottle.
I used the tissue for my nose, after giving a small thanks. I placed the water bottle on the huge bruise on my cheek.
“I’m kris.”
“Celina. And the other boys are Sam and Colby.” Celina said.
“Th-thank you guys.. so much.” You smiled gratefully.
“What happened?” Sam asked.
“I-I don’t know… there was this thing and it-it threw me around like I was a fucking rag doll.” I joked a bit, before wincing from the pain radiating on my back.
“I-I think it scratched my back.” I added. Colby came over to me and asked if he could raise my shirt. I nodded and turned around while he lifted it up.
Though I couldn’t see, they all had wide eyes and opened mouths.
“Holy shit!” Sam exclaimed. “Y/n do you mind if I record this?” He asked kindly, okay with either answer.
“You can, I don’t mind, it just hurts really bad.” I said in a pained voice. “Colby can you take a picture of it and show me?” I asked softly.
He said yes before snapping a picture of it. I stared at the picture in shock, a giant bruise on my side and three, long, bloody scratch marks starting from my upper back and ending right before the waistband of my shorts.
“Holy shit” i mimicked sam just as he started recording my injuries. I turned around and showed the rest.
“Do you wanna stay in our room for the rest of the night?” Colby offered.
“Yes please.” I said, a pleading look lingered in my eyes. “I don’t wanna go back into that room.” Tears welled up in my eyes as Celina and Kris both side-hugged me.
“It’s ok, Y/n you don’t have to.” Kris said, her brows furrowed.
“You’re safe with us. Especially the boys cause they’re a lot stronger than us.” Celina joked, attempting to lighten the mood. I laughed a long, wiping my tears.
“Thanks guys.” I said gratefully.
“Anytime.” The group postponed further exploration of the building so they could make sure I was alright.
Celina and Kris called it a night, heading to their own room to sleep or try to contact anything.
I started to get sleepy while Colby was treating my wounds. “I’m tired.” I admitted.
“I’m almost done, just try to stay up for one more minute.” He applied ointment to the scratches and ice to the bruises.
I was definitely gonna tell the hotel about this in the morning. Even though some people wouldn’t believe me, it was worth a shot.
Once Colby was done in informed me of it and I crawled under the sheets and lied in the middle of the bed.
Sam and Colby lied on either side of me, and yet I still unconsciously cuddled closer to Colby.
“Goodnight.” I sighed, feeling safe with the two boys I had only just met.
“Goodnight, Y/n.”
The end.

Introduction!!
Yandere Ghost x Reader
CW// Suicidal Thoughts, Paranormal Activity, Murder Mention
My other yand OC Maddox was a hit with ya’ll so here’s a short introduction of a new oc!! Hope you like him as much as I do. This is gonna be very boring because it’s an introduction but I’ll make a oneshot right after this one!!
Masterlist!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“This key unlocks every door in the manor. Except the door to the attic for some reason, but there’s nothing of importance up there. Apparently it’s just some old junk the first owner left.” The agent said with a tight lipped smile. Her matte red lipstick was as bright as a stop sign.
Taking the key from her hand you’re surprised to feel how heavy it is. “Thank you.” You mutter.
“All the legalities are settled so she’s all yours. I recommend blasting that ivy off the side wall of the house though. The roots can mess up the brick.” The agent adds.
“Alright, I appreciate the tip.” You say and shut the door in her face, leaving you alone in your new home.
Maria was a total pain in the ass, like all people who work with selling things. Oh and for the record, you like the ivy that grows on the side of your new home. Makes it look pretty and natural. Anyways, her being gone was like a breath of fresh air. All was good now that you finally had a place to call home.
Your Grandfather died and in the will he left you his summer home in Italy. It was a grand manor that was located on a hilltop surrounded by forrest. It was perfect for your hermit self. Never in your life would you imagine leaving the states to come live in Italy but here you were. After all the manor was handed to you on a silver platter, the offer would be foolish to refuse.
There was nothing for you in the states. Your life was miserable, draining, and filled with nothing but painful repetition. Being worked like a machine and stepped on like a doormat. Having a horrid and overly possessive ex boyfriend who was a serial cheater didn’t help either. You were so close to ending your miserable existence until a woman named Maria gave you a call.
And now you were here, standing in the foyer of your new home. Some work would need to be done. Floors needed polishing, corners dusting, windows wiping. Maybe you should make a checklist?
"This is gonna be a long day.." You think to yourself.
Tumblr media
"There she is again. She must be the new owner." I think to myself as I watch the young woman clean the floor.
The past owner, Lorenzo, must have passed away and put the ownership of the manor into this girl's hands. It has been a while since I’ve seen the old man. But did he have to put my home in the hands of some uncultured American? I find this terribly irresponsible of him, I mean look at her!
She's using a bleach based product on the hardwood! Lorenzo was a good owner of the Verona manor. He hired staff to keep it well maintained and he rarely ever visited. But this girl... she's an utter buffoon. Before she can torture the hardwood any longer I swiftly hover behind her and move the bottle a few feet away from her while she isn't looking.
"Huh?" When she reaches for the bottle she finds it has moved away. I snicker at her confused reaction.
"It was just right here..."
She reaches over and grabs it again but before she does I kick it, sending it flying across the foyer and hitting the front door.
“Any minute now she’ll run away screaming, she won’t even look back.” I think to myself with a devious grin.
But when I hover in front of her I only see an annoyed expression on her face.
“Uhm… Did I do something wrong?” She says.
I freeze, is she not afraid? Why was she talking as if she were talking to someone? Can she see me?
“I asked if I did something to upset you.”
And then her eyes move up and look right into mine. For the first time in centuries I feel as if I have ignited, that I am alive and that my heart once again beats like all other human beings.
“You… Can you see me?” I ask hesitantly, afraid that if I may speak too loudly she’ll scamper away like a mouse.
Her soft lips part slightly as she nods.
Tumblr media
He told me his name was Dante Verona. He was the original owner of the Verona manor and he comes from an Italian royal family. But he was assassinated centuries ago in this very manor during a masquerade party. So I assume that his spirit is trapped here. He was wearing an intricate black, red, and white Venetian mask that hid his face. He wore matching black and red noble attire and his hair was a curly dark chocolate brown that went down to his neck.
Overall he was a total mystery. His entire existence was perplexing to me. Yes I do believe in the paranormal but never would I think I’d meet a real life ghost.
“I assume your grand father is Lorenzo? Has he passed on?” Dante asks, cutting through the thick silence.
I blink a few times, maybe if I blink hard enough he’ll disappear and that’ll confirm that this was all just my imagination. So I blink, but Dante’s translucent self is still hovering in front of me. The blank expression of his mask makes me slightly uneasy. I couldn’t get a read on the guy at all.
Coughing, I finally answer, “Uhm yeah… He was my grand father. He left me this manor in his will. And he didn’t mention any ghosts or anything like that.” I add.
“Lorenzo couldn’t see me. You’re the first to see me actually.” Dante says. His voice sounded smooth but the mask muffled it slightly. But he also sounded like he was in pain. I wonder how long he’s been here, trapped in this manor.
“So this whole time you were all alone?”
“Yes.” He softly replies. “Just me. Only my spirit is here.”
“That must be hard.” I say, but not in a pitying sounding way. The last thing he wants is pity probably.
Dante hovers away and I follow him into the living room. Looking up I see him hover up to the chandelier. He looks down at me, I can see his dark green irises through the black holes of the mask.
“Every day is hard. God has cursed me, rejected my entry into the heavens.” His voice cracks. "My death occurred in the very room we are in."
I look around the oriental room we are in. It has been modernized over the years, but I can imagine how it looked in his century. The masked party people, music, drinks, lies and deception. All of it in the room we are in but centuries before.
"My killer has not been found but I know they are long dead. Knowing that they burn in hell brings me peace. And I have learned to accept that I am to remain here.”
Then he rambles on about his life story. The tragedies he lived through, the friends he made and lost, wars and battles faced, and lovers went and gone. But I don't mind that this conversation is one sided. He has had no one to talk to for centuries so he deserves a listener.
"I apologize my lady. I have droned on for far too long. It's impolite..." Dante says in a dejected tone. But I reassure him.
"Y-You're okay! I understand. You haven't had someone to talk to in a long time I imagine. Besides, I found your life story very interesting."
Dante hovers down to where I'm sat on the couch. He also sits beside me. Leaning in close he tilts his masked face to the side as he comes closer to mine. I move away slightly; his body emits an eerie chill.
"Tell me about you. What is your name?" He asks, his eyes twinkle with an emotion unknown to me.
"I'm Y/n L/n. I originally lived in the United States, but I moved here as you know." I mutter. I've never been one to talk a lot anyways.
Dante looks me up and down. His fingers reach out causing me to flinch back, but he goes to touch the fabric of my black dress rather than my skin. To my surprise his fingers can touch the fabric, they don’t phase through it.
"Why do you wear black? Are you a widow? Has your husband passed on?" He asks softly.
I feel myself giggle slightly and he looks up at me with probably a confused expression.
"I've never been married silly, I'm only 23 years old.”
Dante’s emerald eyes widen. “23 and unmarried? Has the societal norm changed? Because my sister was married off to her husband when she was 16.”
I cringe physically. “Oooh yeah, lots of things have changed. But also I’m wearing black because it’s just my style. It’s called goth, it’s a music based style. I can tell you about it sometime.”
Dante looks at me like I’ve grown three heads. I can see it in his eyes.
“Ahem- Anyways. Why do you wear that mask?” I ask.
Dante breaks the eye contact and looks down at the side. “It does not come off. No matter how hard I try to remove it, it only stays. I cannot remove the clothing either.”
I nod. “Is it because it was the last thing you wore before you died?”
He nods in return.
“I assume so.”
He moves closer to me ever so slightly. His gloved hands caress my h/c locks of hair and then he brushes his fingers across my cheeks and jawline.
“What are you doing?” I ask breathlessly.
Dante’s hooded eyes shine with an emotion I cannot read. But I feel like my life from this day forward will never be the same. Can the living and the dead co exist?
Dante Verona. Will we be able to share the same roof?

finally working on the ghost hunter au that i started a few months ago (?), but i did a complete rehaul on the concept
INFODUMP:
(okok, english isn't my first language and i'll probably edit out grammar mistakes when i'll find them, so please bare with me lol)
Initially, Aubrey and Kel meet as internet pen-pals, both share an interest in horror and all things creepy (tho aubrey prefers the creepy but cute stuff). While Aubrey is more of a casual fan, Kel is a full on enjoyer of anything and everything that's spooky: horror movies, creepy stories, and especially the ghost stuff.
Kel would always share to Aubrey about his fantasies of being a professional ghost hunter and maybe having a tv show all about his and Aubrey's adventures in the paranormal world.
Aubrey and Kel both live in the big city, tho Aubrey often visits Faraway as that's where her mother resides. She would often meet up a friend of her's named Basil: a shy guy who's really interested photography and everything related to plants. While hanging out with the flower boy, Aubrey would frequently do Basil's hair and makeup, later on he picks up some neat beauty tips from her that allowed him to explore his style. The visits to Faraway wouldn't last long, only being there for the weekends and holidays before she'd have to go back to her dad in the city.
Eventually Kel and Aubrey make a blog for Ghost hunting. Their content on there is amateur at best, but they gain a loyal following of other ghost enthusiasts, and non enthusiast, mostly just people who really enjoy kel and aubrey's friendship dynamic and their banter.
In their endevours, they would earn a loyal hater, who goes by "The Maverick" who would nickpick any and all instances of paranormal activity. Although sounding pompous and theatrical, he always finds reasonable proof to debunk all their findings.
Skip a few years, Back in faraway basil has to deal with the grief of his grandmother's passing, he would often stay at the graveyard just to mourn. The graveyard in faraway was infamous for having an unknown being living there, no one knowing if it's human and harmless or something paranormal and dangerous. No one has ever been able to get photo evidence of the entity, so they are more often percieved as an urban legend.
One foggy evening, Basil was back at the graveyard, doing his usual mourning session, when something sat besides him on a bench. Eyes full of tears, he didn't dare to face the person, so he continued with what he was doing. Eventually the person(?) starts asking questions to get Basil to vent to him and maybe calm him down and it works. Felling a little bit better Basil faces the person to see a guy his age in a very strange outfit. Once he got a better look at him, he jumped off the bench realising it's the fabled ghost boy of the graveyard. He runs away, but notes the fact that guy he talked to was very nice...
After that, he starts believing in a life after death, and his grief lessens knowing that possibly his grandmother is in a better place
Basil finds out about Aubrey and Kel making a ghost blog, there the two would film themselves searching through abandoned areas to find ghosts... or something, anything really. While they never found anything scary, they had a very good duo dynamic and Basil became somewhat of a fan of theirs. Basil noticed the poor video quality due to it being recorded on a crappy phone (android lol) and it inspired him to purchase a video camera.
When Aubrey visits Faraway again, he offers his cameraman services to her and she agrees. She introduces Basil to Kel and they all hit it off.
One day, when Aubrey and Kel are feeling hopeless of their Ghost Hunting adventure, Basil tells them the time he met a ghost in the graveyard back in faraway. They both take his word for it.
They get Hero to drive them to faraway, Hero who is a Uni dropout, he really doesn't have anything better to do besides taking up odd jobs to pay rent. He has saved a lot of money throughout the years of being uni-free and working at basically every retail job in the city, so the though of having a road-trip didn't bother him.
Once they are at the town of faraway, Hero hands them a packed lunch, and the gang is off to find a ghost! Being in the graveyard, things felt fruitless, not a lot of things were happening besides the fog that started to form. Kel got tired and started reaching for his bag to get the sandwich that Hero packed him. But there was a problem... there were no sandwiches to be found in his bag... Suddently his eyes meet the figure of the faraway ghost boy who was snacking on a BLT...
Kel alerts his friends to come grab some footage of the ghoul right in front of him, but an issue arose... the video camera wasn't working and couldn't get Sunny in the shot without the device glitching out.
The ghoulish boy named Sunny sees how restless, but persistent the ghost hunter crew was, he found their antics humorous at best, but once the big brother Hero comes to check up on them is when Sunny is on full guard
He summons chains from under the ground, binding the 4 visitors in place. Aproching them again he threatens to suck all the life out of them. They start pleading for their life and a idea accured...
Sunny gave them an offer to help him find his long lost sister...He is unsure if she's still alive or not, but he still feels the presence on her in the living world through the Something chained to his foot. In return he would spare their life and let them film him for their ghost blog. The gang agrees to his offer and just so they don't double cross sunny, he lays a curse on them that if they leave him behind on purpose, they would have their souls taken away from their bodies, turning them into lifeless husks.
AND SO THAT'S HOW THEIR ADVENTURE STARTS! they have this sorta mystery gang adventure going on, traveling across the US to find Mari while also having wacky high-jinxs and sunny allerting the others of ghostly presences in the area for Aubrey, Kel and Basil's ghost hunting blog content, just so they would get enough blog donations to keep traveling!

alright fuck this I’m making a TIMELINE. and a FACT SHEET. it will not be in order. Nor will it actually track dates really. Mostly it’s going to contain the seeds of my theories. I’m red stringing this Shit via tumblr post on mobile.
TIMELINE:
Magnus Institute fire: 1999
Windows NT 4.0 (the Windows NT that was the commercial predecessor to Windows 95) was released to retail in 1996 (with the final version released in 2001) so Freddy has been creeping around the web since around the time the Institute burned down
Jon, Martin, and probable Jonah Norris, Chester, and Augustus started actively reading roughly 1/30 statements entries out loud ~a year ago, according to Alice
Statements Entries so far are dated to May 2022, and it’s implied that Freddy collects them more or less as they appear, so as far as rough estimates for when tmp is set, it’s nowish, or just a bit earlier than now (similar to how tma was)
My kingdom for an ARG player who can hook me up with the founding date of the OIAR and the dates on those Magnus Institute records, just cuz I’m curious
SHIT WE KNOW:
Jonah Magnus exist(s/ed) in SOME form in this world, and built an institution designed to research the paranormal. That institution burned down and cleared of all records. Unclear exactly when the clearing happened.
The voices in the computer are the same as Martin Blackwood’s and Jonathan Sims’s
The OIAR has a department (this one) dedicated entirely to sorting weird shit scraped from online with an obsessive specificity
Everyone who works in this department wasn’t forced to be here and isn’t forced to stay, but all of them do have something that guided them to this position and is keeping them here
There is supernatural shit happening here in this world right now
Annabelle Cane said that the rift under Hilltop Road was a rift in reality - time, space, dimensions
She also said that the Fears would be following the voices that were woven into the web made of the tapes
In the TMA-verse, the Fears had a penchant for spreading themselves around via books (and then someone stupid idiot motherfucking dusty ass book collecting rat old bastard avatar of the whore biggest clown in the circus cowboy— starting slapping a label on em
SHIT THAT IS STILL A ???:
Did the fears exist in this world for an extended period of time, or have they only recently appeared? All the dates we have for statements entries are recent, but there was at the very least some FUCKED UP SHIT happening before the jmart+Jimmy Magma squad popped up
Did Robert Smirk build batshit crazy buildings and also a panopticon under London?
Was Magnus fear-aligned? Was the Institute? Or was it just a place for fucked up research?
Are there alternate-reality versions of any beloved TMA recurring cast members running about?
Was the og TMA world the place where the Fears started? Or had they already spread?
How far have they made it at this point? Is this the first new world post-archives-crew? Or are we several down the chain?
COLLECTION OF FACTS INTO BATSHIT THEORIES:
The Fears have been Updated for the Twentieth (not twenty-first, rip to Colin) Century and now they have infused themselves into computer systems via Jon’s tapes letting them encode themselves in a new and fun way (I am not 100% sure how tapes work besides magnets somehow, but I DO know that early computers used them for data tracking, which makes enough dream-logic sense for me) and are thus able to hack themselves into forum posts and also spy on the whole world via one (1) government computer system
Panopticon screenshot happened in March 2021. First two statements are May 2022. Alice said the voices started showing up about a year ago. So even if the Fears were already here, JMart are here now once more to lend their voices to the verbal record of Fear
Speaking of the Fears already being here. If the Rift was also for Time, I’m sure the Web could have figured out a way to drag the Squad back along the timeline while somehow leaving jmart behind
OIAR is EITHER. The Fears (Web specifically) preparing a perfect funnel-spider web trap for JMart when they did show up (oh voices? tapes? telling fear stories? here you go motherfuckers) or someone’s Leitner/Smirk/Magnus-ass attempt to wrangle all the trauma under one roof. Either way I’m p sure it is Web-ish-aligned, if the Fears even exist in this world in the way we’re used to seeing them
If we’ve got two grown up paranormal guinea pigs, AND a bouchard running around, and all of them are here because of Some Sort Of Reason, and are Still Here Even Though They Could Leave, I assume everyone else is too. I wonder if they all have some tie to this world’s Institute, or if they’ve all had encounters, or were selected based on their compatibility with the OIAR’s aims
Speaking of which
WHAT IS THE OIAR? Cuz this part of it is clearly kinda similar to the Archives in terms of collecting and sorting statements. Is there more of it? What do those people do? Do they use these sorted entries somehow? Also why tf do they have do work overnight????

I have come up with my Relativity!Falls AU!
Ok, so, I came up with this today at the last period at school so it might be a bit messy, but pls bear with me.
So let me tell ya!😈
Ok, so Mabel and Dipper's lives were fairly normal back in the 60's. Like, sure, their parents got a divorce when they were 13 and lived in a broken home but they still loved eachother and their love only grew stronger when their parents broke up, their will to stay together strengthening. Their parents still cared about them dearly despite the breakup, so everything was not as bad.
Dipper wanted to go to university to study science and Mabel wanted to go to a fashion school and be a fashion designer! People already loved her sweaters so it only seemed fitting.
Dipper got a scholarship after his project got approved by scientists. It was going to be the first time of the twins being apart, and although sad, they knew they could do it. A year later Mabel left home as well to go to her desired fashion school.
After university Dipper gained an interest in the supernatural and he decided to investigate, he even started recording himself searching and finding these paranormal creatures. He kept the videos in a cassette, hoping one day he could show the world and maybe, just maybe, he would get his own show. He started to keep a journal, the cover being blue/silver with a silver pine tree in the middle. After a while Dipper realized that the most sights of paranormal activities happened at a place he had never heard of before, a small town called Gravity Falls. He built a house there and a basement underneath to find more paranormal creatures.
There, he learned about this demon called Bill Cipher from a cave writing near the town, and said demon visited him in his dreams after saying the incantation written. He flattered him for his smarts and said that his unusual birthmark on his forehead made him look like a freak, but in a good way! And although Dipper felt flattered, he didn't trust him all that much, because why would a demon want to talk to him of all people??? Also , come on, that was a DEMON. He had seen enough movies to know whether to trust a demon or not. (Mister Anxiety and Overthinking everyone lol)
Bill kept pestering him about building a portal that leads to other dimensions, and after a LOT of thinking Dipper decided to build it, believing it would be a big step in the world of science.
He decided to ask for help from the richest woman in town whose family found it, a brilliant (and admittedly attractive) mechanic, Pacifica Northwest.
They spent a long while building the portal together, and once it was ready they decided to test it on a dummy, only Pacifica was accidentally pulled in with it. Dipper managed to get her out, but when he did, she seemed... Paranoid. She started screaming at him and demanding to dismantle the portal, only Dipper didn't listen to her, too stubborn to admit it wasn't a good idea now that he had done so much. Pacifica quit right after.
After that he didn't know what to do and as a last resort he sent a postcard to his sister, asking her to come over.
Now the twins had kept in contact, but Dipper tried not to mention the portal to Mabel, just saying he was working on a project that could possibly change the world.
When Mabel got the postcard (she was back at California) she decided, sure, why not? It would only take a couple of months, maybe at most a year, and then she would be back to her small business.
When she arrived at Gravity Falls Dipper explained to her about the portal and the otherworldly creatures. He told her that his last assistant quit, leaving out some very important details.
Mabel was ecstatic to be a part of dangerous scientific experiments, spending some time with her brother after 10 years of phonecalls and postcards, and possibly meeting a unicorn!
They started writing a journal together, that had a purple cover and a purple pine tree with a shooting star at the top (Dipper said it looked like a Christmas tree. Mabel just found it funny) and they wrote about every other creature they discovered and their progress on the portal.
But as time passed by, Mabel started to notice that... Maybe Dipper was hiding something. But no, he would never hide anything from her! They're siblings, they share everything! But she had a weird feeling that the portal might be for something more instead of just "scientific advancements" and he regularly seemed to meditate. Dipper??? Trying to clear his mind??? Yeah, right! She began writing her own journal (which was more like a scrapbook tbh) where she wrote down her thoughts, her suspicions about her brother, and also had a bunch of photos of the creatures they found, clothes she made and their time together. It was pink/gold with a dark pink shooting star on it (and thus the three journals were created).
One day Mabel accidentally came across Dipper's journal and she had a look at it. That was when she found out the real reason why Pacifica left the project and she also found out about Bill Cipher.
She confronted Dipper about this and they had a huge fight over it. Mabel accidentally pushed Dipper and he burned the back of his shoulder with a symbol. Because of that the portal was accidentally opened and Mabel was sucked into it. Dipper tried multiple times to get it to work again and bring her back but it was severely damaged and nothing worked. After a while he gave up and he decided to dismantle it.
Bill was not happy about this and he kept hunting Dipper in his dream and also possessing his body and at some point he finally got a metal plate inserted into his mind so Bill wouldn't possess him anymore.
Oh also by the way Pacifica created the memory gun and kept erasing her own memory and created the Society of the Blind Eye and yeah, she lost her mind, yk.
Dipper kept trying to reach out to Pacifica but since she lost her mind nothing could happen so he would just visit her from time to time but she would always be in her own mind, being the crazy old hug of the town or "old hag Northwest", and also because she was crazy now the Northwests kicked her out of the Northwest Mansion and she's been living in the junkyard ever since.
Dipper is forced to fake Mabel's death to "excuse" her disappearance. A lot of people came to the funeral.
He hides the two journals (he doesn't know Mabel wrote one of her own) so that no one would find them and rebuild the portal again.
Anyway, Dipper turns his home into a museum for the supernatural to get money where he has fake miniatures of the creatures he found but of course always people would think they're fake but they mostly go there just for fun. It's called "The Home of Mysteries".
Many years pass by until he gets a call that hey, you're gonna babysit your twin nephews this summer! Yey...
Well, anyway, his nephews. Stanford (Ford) and Stanley (Stan) Pines.
On their first day the twins discover a pink scrapbook underneath a wooden floorboard. They see photos of their Grunkle Dipper but much younger, and a woman that looks almost just like him. Ford was quick to inform Dipper about this, but Stan stopped him and told him it would be a good way to learn more about their weird relative.
Well, that's what I have so far. I might draw something based on this, can't promise anything though. Oh well, I'll see! Sorry it's so big!

“I’ll be honest, Mina, I don’t think Doja is the vibe for rolling up to a haunted house.”
“Passenger seat gets AUX, Sero, so you’re just gonna have to deal with it.”
“Why the fuck does the driver not get AUX–”
“Because your music has an even worse vibe than Mina’s, Bakubro.”
“Tch, whatever. Just be glad I’m driving your dumbasses or else you’d be stuck with Denki’s passive ass in the driver’s seat.”
“I am a safe driver! Safer than Bakugo at least…”
“OI–” The car erupts into chaos as Bakugo tries to blast Denki, who was sitting directly behind the driver’s seat while Mina throws herself over the wheel to avoid veering into oncoming traffic. Denki screams in terror, reaching across Jiro for Kirishima, who was trying to push back Bakugo’s sparking hand. You put your head in your hands as Sero starts viciously kicking Denki’s seat from the third row. Why Sero thought it would be a good idea to send a TikTok about the most haunted places in the country to the group chat suggesting a visit to one right outside the city, you had no idea. What perplexes you, even more, is that Bakugo had been the first one to agree, followed by you and Kirishima, then Mina and Jiro, and finally a reluctant Denki.
“Bakugo! The parking lot!” Jiro screams from the middle row. In between his pleas for Bakugo’s mercy, Denki yells out final directions.
“You have to turn right now!” Bakugo throws the wheel to the side and swerves a violent right turn, hurtling Sero into your shoulder. Sero rights himself and takes in the surrounding modern-looking office complex with confusion.
“That was the wrong exit!”
“No fucking shit! Denki, you said to turn right!”
“I meant left right at that moment, dude!”
“YOU-”
“Bakubro, remember your morals!”
Ten minutes later, after several more attempts at homicide by Bakugo’s hands, you were standing at the steps of the ancient-looking house as the tour guide introduced the history of the hauntings to your group and others unfortunate enough to have booked a tour at the same time.
“You guys scared?” Mina whispers to you, linking her elbow to yours with a smile.
Jiro scoffed from your other side, and you shook your head in agreement. “As if,” you reply, straining to listen to the guide’s instructions.
“Take care, dear visitors, for certain things may go BUMP,” he says, stamping his cane on the porch and making Denki yelp. “And beware of the spirits of the family that are determined to make visitors acknowledge them, skeptical or not.” The guide points his cane at Kirishima, who runs a hand through his hair, chuckling nervously. The guide stares into Kirishima’s eyes for a few moments more and then abruptly turns around to open the doors, causing snickers among your friends.
“Enter, dear visitors, if you dare.”
The guide leads the group through the foyer, the kitchen, the living area, and the upstairs bedrooms. The house was filled with beautifully ornate furniture and well-preserved artifacts from centuries past caked with layers of dust.
Not that your friends cared about all that.
Sero had his phone out, recording from the moment you had stepped through the entryway and insistent upon catching paranormal activity. You took photos of Mina and Jiro posing next to the portraits of the Ladies of the House, their eyebrows drawn together and eyelids droopy to match the paintings’ solemn expressions. Bakugo, surprisingly, was fascinated by the grim history of the house and would shush your group if they started getting too loud that he couldn’t hear the guide. Kirishima stuck close to Bakugo and Denki, jokingly commenting on whether the actions of the men in the house were manly or not to hide his unease.
The tour ended at the head of the house’s office before exiting out the backyard gate, and your friends lingered to take a photo in an antique full-body mirror. The temperature seemed to have dropped significantly, and Sero’s phone battery drained immediately after taking the mirror photo.
“Man… I swear this thing had, like, 80% power when we got here.” He knocked his hand a few times against the edge of the phone to no avail, the no-battery symbol flashing mockingly at him.
“Maybe it’s ‘cause you were recording unnecessary shit this entire time. Coulda just asked me for a fuckin’ summary afterward.”
You laughed at Bakugo’s commitment to the tour. “You’re just grumpy that we dragged you into a group mirror photo, Kats.”
“Alright, now that my hands are free, do you think that if I drew a pentagram on the floor that I’d summon a demon?” Sero waggled his eyebrows and Jiro scoffed at his casual reference to getting possessed.
“Maybe if you sat on it. Or laid on it, like that tall guy on YouTube.”
“Nah, man, I don’t mess around with that shit. Don’t be trying that stuff if I’m near you.”
“Do you actually believe in ghosts? That’s why you’re scared of them?”
“Not scared… just not interested in getting my body taken over. It’d suck big time.”
“Mina, what the fuck are you looking at that’s so funny?” The pink-haired hero was pointing to a small, faded image of one of the family’s sons that had died of some disease.
“Ha, look at this guy that looks like Bakugo, Jiro. Jiro?” Mina’s voice trails off, looking back at Jiro, who was tensely staring at the ceiling of the house. Her eyes track the perimeter of where the office walls meet the ceiling, face taut with concentration. The others don’t notice until she quietly sticks one of her earphone jacks into the ceiling and gasps, a hand flying up to cover her mouth.
Bakugo’s focus shoots to Jiro, immediately on alert. “Yo, Ears, are you good?”
“There are… footsteps. Upstairs. Sounds like two people walking around.”
Kirishima loses a little bit of color on his face. “That could be just another tour, right?”
“No, no, no. The guide said we were on the last tour of the night.” Mina’s eyes are wide with concern and she puts out her hands as if to calm down the escalating fear of the group. “What if it’s the guy that I said looked like Katsuki?” Bakugo snarls, on the verge of biting Mina’s pointing finger off.
“Okay, no, it’s probably cleaning people.” Kirishima glances at the exit door leading to the outside, but you all seem to be frozen where you stand.
Sero’s eyes sparkle from behind his dead phone camera. “Yeah, ghost cleaning people.” Chills run down your spine, and you shiver at the dropping temperature. Kirishima opens his mouth to counter Sero’s suggestion but is cut off by Bakugo’s harsh tone.
“Stop it, Denki,” he suddenly snaps.
Denki’s face twists in confusion. “My bad?”
“Dude, I said stop it.”
“I’m not doing anything!”
Scowling at Denki, Bakugo points aggressively to the ceiling light that had started flickering after Jiro’s gasp.
“That’s…not me…”
“Guys? You see that, right?”
You turn towards Kirishima, who has moved to the doorway of the office that leads to the rest of the house. His eyes are the size of pool balls and his face is completely devoid of color. As you carefully gather around the doorway of the office to see what he’s looking at, pure horror courses through your entire body as you take in two pairs of eyes peering back at your friends from the top of the stairs. They were undeniably eyes, and you stare at them until one of them blinks and they both start to descend the stairs.
Right towards your friends.
Your group explodes into unbelievably loud shrieks of horror and shouted expletives as you high-tail it out the door, Kirishima having just enough sense to knock down Bakugo’s hand before he fires a shot at the stairs and gets you all sued for property damage.
Days later, Sero frames a copy of the mirror photo you all had taken in the office, and upon closer inspection of the photo, you discover two figures standing in the doorway behind you and your smiling friends.

In Good Hands?
Author's note: This is my attempt to write a ghost story, inspired by some of the amazing artwork out there featuring ghost hands. Also, I can't find a way to naturally explain what Yann looks like in the story, but as I'm writing to him, I'm picturing him as something akin to John Krasinski. Very tall and unconventionally handsome but with a killer bod underneath his scruffy clothes. Hope that helps?
--------------------------------------------------
Day One
As part of my dissertation on paranormal activity in domestic properties I’ve searched the internet and found the most haunted airbnb that I could find. This is my diary to document my experiences whilst I live here for 3 months. It might be helpful at this stage to list some of the reported sightings that I have come across so far. Then that might give us some helpful data, post study
1) Several reports of items moved around the house. Mostly furniture and food items found in unusual places
2) Numerous accounts of noises and banging, often around meal times
3) Sightings of ‘ghost hands’ in several places on the property. These are mainly visual sightings with a few vague physical encounters. Interestingly all the people who encountered the hands touching them didn’t want to elaborate.
4) One person reported feeling uncomfortable when undressing, as if they were being watched
An unusual observation is that so far, all witnesses are male. Normally, the majority of spectral anomalies that are reported are from female witnesses so this is something to ponder as we go forward.
I have set up my equipment around the house with several cameras and heat detectors. I will endeavour to report on a daily basis
Day Two
Nothing so far. I did wake up in the night to a banging but then discovered a cat had gotten into the property and wanted letting out.
Day Three.
Again, no actual sightings and no recorded 'feelings' around the house. There have been none of the sensors going off and no recordings on the equipment. The only unusual thing so far was two pizza deliveries to the house that I didn’t actually order. I expect that to be the neighbourhood kids having a laugh. They were paid for though?
Day Four
I’m not sure how to report this but in the spirit of scientific advancement I will forgo my own embarrassment.
After eating two large pizzas yesterday I woke up in the night needing to go to the bathroom to relieve myself. Stumbling through the house naked in the dark I found the toilet and proceeded to use the facility. The light wasn’t working and so I used the light on my phone to find the paper. I was a little sleepy and disoriented but in hindsight I think someone, or something, handed me the paper. It wasn’t hanging on the wall  anyway and I think it was actually held out for me. I didn’t really notice this at the time but as I was wiping myself clean I stood up to flush and felt a hand grab my left ass cheek and squeeze it firmly.
I’m not ashamed to say that I ran pretty quickly from the bathroom. It wasn’t till I got to my room that I thought to check the cameras. I was now fully awake and checked everything but with no luck. The camera facing the bathroom was also powered down. I think I need to get the batteries checked.
Once I calmed down I recorded my findings and headed back to sleep. A promising start
Day Five
It's been an interesting day. Pizzas have been arriving pretty much every hour alongside grocery orders. None of which I’m ordering. I’m starting to wonder whether they are more than just pranks. There is a phone in the house and when I pressed the redial button it connected me to the same pizza place. They were pretty busy and refused to give out order details for data protection purposes, but they guy did ask if I was having some sort of party.
I’ve been grazing on the pizzas all day. (An important piece of data for later) It was later on in the evening when I was setting up some more equipment and I hadn’t quite realised how much pizza I’d eaten until I felt my belt digging into my lower belly. I’m pretty naturally toned and so it was noticeable. (I’m recording this factually for the study but please understand that’s not a brag)
As I stood up I realised how bloated my stomach was and so I stretched and went to take my belt off. When my hand went to my belt it brushed past another hand also holding my belt. I slowly moved my hands away and looked down. A fairly large male hand was resting on the belt buckle. As I watched, it undid the buckle for me and slid the belt out of the loops and landed on the floor. The hand reached back round, undid my button and then moved up to my lower abdomen where it rested on my belly for a few seconds before dissipating into the air. I physically felt the hand on my skin and it was cool but felt very corporeal.
No more encounters that day.
Day Six
Despite my efforts I have had no more encounters today and no more pizza orders.
Day Seven
For the sake of the research I endeavoured to repeat day five’s conditions. I had stashed the pizza in the fridge and so tried to eat the same amount I ate on that day. The results were the same and my stomach was yet again visibly distended. I waited for a while in the same room with my belt dowe up and no further encounters. After an hour I decided to call it a night and head off to bed. I was a little surprised to find several pizza boxes in my bed when I got there. There was no sign of the hand and I hadn’t heard any movement. I placed the pizza on the floor and got ready for bed. Still no sightings. I set up an extra camera to track any activity and turned the lights off. Almost immediately I felt rapid movement in the bed and turned the light back on to find all the pizza boxes back on my bed.
I moved them back to the floor and turned the lights off and yet again they arrived back in my bed. This repeated four more times until the final time when not only did the pizza end up in my bed but one slice found its way into my mouth. I turned the lights back on and found the hand resting on the pizza slice. I took a bite and began to swallow. The hand then waited patiently for me to chew and swallow and then proceeded to feed me the rest of the slice. It paused briefly in the air before yet again dissipating.
I am left wondering if this apparition is trying to feed me up? I felt no malice towards me and no sense of anger or unrest. Perhaps I need to allow it to do what it wants and see where we get?
Day Eight
Throughout the day, the hand appeared to me several times. Usually during meal times and when I have been in any state of undress. It made no attempt to feed me but did bring me sauces and a few times put additional food on my plate. The hand has not shown up on the cameras but you can definitely see the objects it’s moving. I’m not sure if that will be enough proof though as it does look like I’ve edited it myself. One thing of note is that It tried to help me clean myself in the shower and if I’m being completely objective it actually just sort of felt me up. It was as if it was pretending to help but in actual fact was touching my ass and stomach area. Its touch was gentle but inquisitive? I felt as though I was being explored by something benevolent.
Day Nine
More of the same today. The hand is getting bolder. Touching me more and bringing me more food throughout the day. I’ve been eating as much of it as I can to appease it but honestly it’s a lot of food. I’m struggling to eat it all. After dinner I was pretty much maxed out and crashed on a sofa. I left my belt to see if the hand would undo it for me and lo and behold it did. This time after undoing my belt and top button it slid up my shirt underneath and began to massage my belly for me. I have to say, for the record, that it was actually very pleasant. I can usually eat a lot but I’d lost track of how much I’d had that day and my normally flat stomach had quite a curve to it. The massage lasted for a good 20 mins and I think I had actually nodded off.
I awoke with a start to find the hand was joined by a second. The left hand, also male. I wasn’t surprised to see both of them had food. I opened my mouth to see what would happen and the sandwich the right hand was holding was pushed in straight away. It was a little firmer than last time and more insistent but I obediently chewed and swallowed. I think the massage actually helped and I'm a little embarrassed to admit that I was a little hungry!
The left hand brought me a hotdog and began alternating offerings. Not long after, both the sandwich, and hotdog were gone. I waited to see what would happen next. The right hand continued to rub my distended stomach and the left hand appeared with a large pitcher of beer. I would guess maybe four pints worth. I was a little taken aback but the jug lurched towards me and pressed to my lips. I didn’t really have a choice but to swallow as the liquid began to flow. I kept swallowing whilst the other hand continued to massage my expanding stomach. I settled into a pace with no let up from the hand pouring the beer. I was beginning to feel totally maxed again as the foamy beer kept coming. I tried to move the hand but it wasn’t budging. I had no choice but to swallow until the beer was gone. The pitcher fell to the floor and the second hand joined its twin in massaging my bloated stomach. They had at this point pulled my shirt up revealing my distended gut. They were firm but gentle and I can’t lie, it felt really good. As I lay there I couldn’t help but feel safe. Like I was in good hands (if you’ll pardon the pun)
The attention lasted for a good half hour and again, in the interests of recording all the detail, I think they actually got rid of all my gas. The beer and food combo made me belch a lot and the hands seemed to be getting them up. Even giving my stomach a little tap after a good burp. And then just like that they were gone. Leaving me like a beached tourist after a buffet.
I have several questions around the intentions of the hands and why they are so set on feeding me? Is this something that others have experienced? There was no mention of this in the reports I have. Maybe I should contact some of the people who have stayed here and ask some specific questions. I’ll have to word them carefully?
I will have to do this in the morning as I can’t quite think straight whilst I’m this full.
Day Ten
After the events of the previous evening I slept in until midday. I wasn’t disturbed in the night but I awoke to the smell of coffee and pastries. Heading downstairs I discovered a set table with the hands poised on the back of the chair. After sitting down I attempted to eat the offering but the right hand gently held me back whilst the left proceeded to feed me the croissants. I didn’t think I could be hungry after last night but I managed to eat everything I was given. The hands then disappeared.
Throughout the day at regular intervals they would appear and continue where they left off. A brunch of poached eggs and avocado, lunchtime sandwiches. Afternoon tea and a main meal of steak and chips. The meals they present are hearty and as the day wore on I struggled more and more with the portions. The hands remain gentle yet firm, I haven’t resisted them yet but I’m not sure what would happen if I did. For now I will oblige as what I am recording is unprecedented in this field. I am yet to capture them on film but I am seeing interesting readings in the infrared spectrum. I need to keep tweaking but I wonder if this data will help me modify a camera to get some footage.
Heading to bed I half expected more food but as I lay on my bed, my distended belly loudly digesting my feast, the hands appeared one final time to explore my body. The previous encounters had been purely massages of my abdomen or a cheeky squeeze of my ass, but this time the hands started there but quickly covered the rest of my body over. I’m not sure if they are turning into a sexual encounter or not. They have not touched any private areas but the intention of the massage definitely felt more intrusive. I have to admit that I was beginning to feel quite aroused during the whole experience.
Day Eleven
More of the same today. The hands fed me an even larger breakfast of pancakes, brunch, lunch and two afternoon meals. I wasn’t sure my stomach could take any more when I discovered my evening meal. I walked into the kitchen to find the dining table was filled with what looked like a meal for four! A whole roast chicken dinner was laid out on the table with all the trimmings. I felt a little sick just looking at it. My gut was still packed full from the whole day's feeding sessions. I hesitated at the door, wondering what to do when the hands appeared behind me and gently pushed me forward toward the banquet. They weren’t aggressive but I definitely didn’t have a choice but to move. When I reached the chair the hands pushed down on my shoulders and indicated to me to sit. They set about unbuttoning my shirt and removing my belt, which I allowed. The left hand began to massage my stomach, which I also allowed. (They are very good at massaging my stomach when it feels super stuffed and full). I decided to resist slightly to see what would happen. I spoke to the hands to tell them politely that I wasn’t really hungry this evening after all the food they had already given me. This didn’t deter them in any way as the right hand pulled off a chicken leg and brought it to my mouth. I shook my head and politely declined. The leg stayed in front of my face. We waited for a little while in a bit of a standoff. It was even more unexpected then, that the left hand then reached round to my side and began tickling me. It was so out of the blue that I opened my mouth to laugh out loud. At that point the chicken leg made it straight into my mouth. I bit off a mouthful and laughed, I submitted to their feeding yet again. This time the hands were much more persistent and felt even more attentive. As I ate, they paused to give more belly rubs, and would move me when I slouched or needed to belch. At one point they even tipped my forward and rubbed my back to help me belch which also made me laugh.
I was so busy trying to keep track of what they were doing that I didn’t notice I had eaten the whole meal. The moment of realisation was as I saw the hands withdraw and I saw all the plates were empty. I looked down at my stomach and saw how distended I was. It was as if I had swallowed half a basketball. In fact that’s inaccurate. It felt more like half a bowling ball.
The hands seemed very happy with what they had accomplished and did a small clap as I tentatively gave my own stomach a quick explore. The fullness at that point hit me and I felt incredibly uncomfortable. I tried to stand up but they stopped me. I began to protest but soon found my mouth full with beer. The pitcher from the previous evening had been brought back out and they were pouring it down my throat. I had no choice but to swallow or choke but the pressure of the beer in my stomach was increasingly difficult to handle. I tried to push it out of the way but the hands kept on pouring. As the pitcher was finished I coughed and sputtered and pushed one more time and the now empty glass jug flew across the room and shattered against the wall. The hands immediately began to make me stand and I began to worry that they were angry but I was yet to feel that from them. They helped me get to my room and almost laid me down on the bed.
As I lay there they began to undress me. Pulling my trousers down and taking my already open shirt off my back. I lay there bloated and aching only in my underwear and socks. The hands began again exploring my tightly packed abdomen. Tracing the curve of its distended rise and gently massaging some of the aches out. I closed my eyes and let them continue. At some point I must have drifted off to sleep but when I awoke the following morning I was in the same position but totally naked. My stomach had gone down some from the previous evening but I was still pretty distended.
From a scientific viewpoint I am incredibly excited about the results I’m getting. An encounter like this has never been fully documented. I feel like Davies exploring the Antarctic for the first time. This will be groundbreaking research into the paranormal and may even get me a full residential post.
But from a human perspective I am totally baffled as to what is happening. Ghost hands have taken a shine to me and are regularly and consistently stuffing me full of food and giving me sensual massages. What the actual fuck is going on. And I’m being totally honest with myself, they are actually starting to feel really good? I'm finding myself looking forward to encounters with the hands. I sense they are intrigued by me and that they are also enjoying this as much as I am. There seems no mal-intent and nothing malignant about what’s happening. From a purely detached perspective, I need to understand if my feelings are mine or if the hands have some sort of supernatural ability to manipulate my emotions. I have to admit, it all feels very real though.
Day Fifteen
As I write this, I’m finding it incredibly hard to sit upright, I'm so full. After the enjoyable but intense feeding session on day eleven I have been subjected to something a little more intriguing and a little more sinister.
The hands didn’t really bother me at all for the whole day on day eleven. The occasional appearance where they would just touch me but no food and nothing sustained. I was beginning to wonder if they were done with me. As dusk approached I was busy setting up some equipment in the kitchen, as I was starting to wonder where the food was coming from and I wanted to see if they were actually cooking it themselves when the light all went off suddenly. I found my phone and turned on the torch and tried to find my way to the  fuse box. As I stumbled in the darkness down into the cellar I felt the now familiar hands on the base of my back, guiding me down. They clearly wanted me to go somewhere and they were pushing me a little harder than I was expecting.
When I reached the cellar I found lights already on. The fuses obviously hadn’t blown, but the hands had done something else. I could smell food in the air and instantly felt my saliva glands begin to water. As I turned the corner I saw they had set a lazy-boy in the middle of the floor and there were two tables full of food laid out. And when I say full of food I mean a full banquet for a few dozen people. A whole thanksgiving meal was laid out including a whole turkey and hams and pies aplenty. I felt strangely worried and also very hungry. Guided by the hands I sat in the chair and waited to see what would happen. I suddenly remembered that I had not set up cameras there yet and went to stand to go get some, but the hands came thumping down on my shoulders, forcing me to sit. They were not keen on me leaving. This also didn’t feel as playful as before and I felt a little nervous that there was no way I would be able to eat all this food? (How wrong I was)
The hands began removing my t-shirt, which was something they had done before. Unbuckling my belt was next as they pulled my trousers off, folding them neatly and placing them amusingly to the side. They began to explore my body gently but firmly. As they did so I began to see that I’d put on a little timber in the past few weeks. My normally flat stomach was a little more puffy than usual. It had been blown out and bloated for a few days and it was only now that I hadn't eaten for a few hours that I could see its newly acquired pounds. The hands had definitely noticed as they both mainly stayed around that area, clearly enjoying themselves.
I lay there (enjoying the attention if I’m honest) until abruptly they stopped and I felt the hands lifting up my arms above my head. This was new and I should probably have been more suspicious of this than I was. I wasn’t aware of what they were doing until I heard a click and looked up to see they had placed handcuffs on my wrists which were attached to a rope tied to the ceiling. As I struggled to free myself, I heard two more clicks as my ankles were also cuffed to the bottom of the lazy boy. I wasn’t stretched out but there was no way I was going anywhere and that’s when the food started coming and let me tell you it did not stop.
I completely lost track of time down there, suffice to say the hands were determined to get every last mouthful of food into me. They would take it in turns pushing fistfuls of pie and meat and roasted vegetables into my mouth. I wouldn’t say they were increasingly aggressive, but they were very insistent. At the beginning, I would be given a bite of something and allowed to chew and swallow but the next bite would come straight away. The pressure in my stomach would increase and increase until I thought I would burst and then they would pause, returning to the belly rubs and massages. I would eventually fall asleep only to be woken a few hours later for the next round of feeding. More and more food pushed into my mouth until I couldn't take any more. This pattern continued for what I now know was 3 days. That’s how long it took me to eat the whole banquet. And I tell you that every last mouthful was fed to me. Not a crumb was wasted.
I am now fully aware that I was under some sort of supernatural influence here. My stomach is way bigger than humanly possible. It's gone from a basketball size when full to to a pregnant looking beer gut. Perfectly round and tight and engorged. There is no physical way a person would be able to eat the amount of food they have packed in me, even at the rate they fed me over the past few days. Also, at no point did I attempt to spit the food out or refuse, I simply gave in and let them stuff me.
I will at some point try to document exactly what I ate and how it happened but for now this is all I can manage. If I think of how much food is currently inside me I begin to feel quite nauseous. If I can manage to get to my feet, my belly now starts straight under my ribs and sticks out at least a foot before curving underneath my belly button and tapering in at my v line. It's as tight as a drum and warm to the touch and as I breathe only my chest goes in and out. I don't think I have ever seen anything like this.
In addition, I should note that the massages became a lot more personal in nature. Again for science I admit that as my stomach was filled, so too were other parts of my anatomy. A state of arousal which the hands most definitely noticed. As they massaged my food baby they also began to massage other engorged parts of my body. To climax. Being totally frank, these have been the most intense orgasms I have ever experienced in my life. The climax started as normal but as it built it spread up the bottom of my distended stomach giving me a whole body experience like nothing I have experienced. It seems that a supernaturally full abdomen is capable of a belly wide orgasm. I need to ask one of my female friends if that’s what a female orgasm feels like.
I am beginning to feel like I need to leave the house at this point. The experiment has already brought me a huge amount of data and I’m worried if I stay I will end up even larger. I am worried to think what they are going to try and pack in me next. I should have weighed myself before the past experience but alas I only have my memory of my weight beforehand. I can’t imagine how my body will digest this amount of food and what will happen to my already bloated stomach after the next day or so.
As I wrote that last sentence the hands have come back. They are currently resting on my belly shelf and I feel they are pretty pleased with themselves. I’m going to see what happens next but for now I’m turning off my laptop.

Steddie paranormal investigator modern day au
I watched Buzzfeed Unsolved and this happened. Sorry?
Eddie's got his phone up, focused on Steve as he drives. "We should hunt ghosts, Stevie."
"What?" Steve says. He's being safe and concentrating on the traffic in front of him, not on Eddie's latest TikTok antics.
"Paranormal Investigation! It would be fun."
"Absolutely not."
"We're doing it."
"Eddie. No."
"Steeeeeeve, c'mon! It's like you've trained your whole life for this."
Steve looks at the camera then, hazel eyes serious. "Yes, and I've retired from active duty."
Eddie pouts until Steve rolls his eyes.
👻 Investigation 1 👻
Steve has one hand in his jacket pocket, the other holding his phone at it records his surroundings. "Hey, ghosts. Feel like talking?"
"Really? That's all, Harrington? You promised you'd act like you care."
"This is me caring! What else do you want, Munson?"
"Care with enthusiasm."
"Please enlighten me on how to do that." Steve keeps his voice even and deadpan, giving his head a pigeon-like tilt.
Eddie bounds forward, a bright and real smile lighting his face. "Hey, ghosts!! I'm Eddie. This is my best friend, Steve. We're here because we wanted to talk to you. Maybe you can start by introducing yourselves?"
Steve glares. "How is that different from what I did."
"How--Steve you--oh my god. You didn't even introduce yourself!"
"To the ghosts?"
"I thought you were raised to be polite."
"Yeah, to people, dude."
"Ghosts are people!"
Steve snickers, eyes glistening, and Eddie slaps at his bicep.
"Don't hit me," Steve says. He knocks Eddie away with his hip.
"Well, don't nudge me." He elbows Steve in the ribs.
There's just a flash of blinding smile from Steve before he launches himself at Eddie, full blown slap fight erupting between them. They giggle and shriek, and then Steve pins Eddie's hands together. They're breathless, panting and flushed, hair mussed.
"Is this respectful to the ghosts, Munson?"
"You started it," Eddie sicks his lower lip out. Steve tosses his head back and laughs, misses how Eddie's eyes linger, drink him in.
👻 Investigation 7 👻
Steve walks into frame, holding his phone as he records. "Hey, hi. My name's Steve, and this is my buddy, Eddie. We're here to chat, if you feel like it."
"Yeah, we just want to learn about you. See what you're doing. Did you die here?"
"Is that respectful?" Steve hisses.
"Shut-up," Eddie hisses back. They momentarily get distracted shoving one another.
"If you're around, let us know," Steve says. "There's this rocking chair here, could you maybe move it for us?"
"Yeah, and hey," Eddie fiddles with the flashlight in his hands. "I'm gonna set this flashlight right here on the ground, and if you can't move the chair, why not turn this flashlight off for us, okay?"
He leans down to put the light on the floor, his phone camera capturing a few seconds of Steve watching him, a little smile on his face. A beat passes and Eddie's movements slip Steve out of frame. There's a shrieking scream and Steve shouts, "EDDIE?" followed by the skittering clank of things being dropped onto the concrete floor.
The view changes to a static shot, from a camera set up behind them. It shows Eddie bend down, setting the flashlight in front of him, before he screams. He leaps--fully leaving the ground--into Steve's arms. Steve catches him easily, dropping his phone, so he can brace Eddie against his chest in a bridal carry. Eddie's arms wrap around Steve's neck, his face buried against the other man's collar.
Steve laughs. "You okay, Eds?"
Eddie responds, but it's not picked up by the mics. It makes Steve laugh harder. "There was a rat, huh? I think I can take a rat."
"Don't make fun of me," Eddie grumbles. He peels his head off Steve's shoulder and the camera just catches the corner of his flushed face and his bashful grin.
"I would never," Steve shakes his head. "You good to get down now?"
Their gazes meet for a few long seconds. "Definitely," but Eddie's voice shakes.
Steve puts his friend on his feet, but takes a second to push some of Eddie's hair behind his ear. "You okay?'
"Yeah, yeah, it was nothing."
"You sure?"
Eddie scowls. "I knew it!"
"Knew what?"
"You're making fun of me!"
"I am not!"
They miss the chair rocking on its own behind them.
👻 Investigation 15 👻
Steve digs through a backpack before spreading a sleeping bag over the scratched wood floors. Eddie films on his phone.
"Okay, Stevie, this is the first investigation where we're staying over night. How you feeling?"
"Fine," he responds. He doesn't look away from his task.
"Fine? We're staying overnight, where there are ghosts, and you're fine!?"
"Well, sure, Eds. I've faced worse than ghosts before."
"How are you not freaking out right now?"
Steve turns to the camera, a tiny smile on his face. "Because I'm not freaked out?"
"Ugh!" Eddie flails his hands which makes the image shift and blur. "It's like you don't even believe in this shit."
"You know that I do." Steve takes a few steps forward, reaching out to grab Eddie's elbow. "It's just that. They're ghosts, you know? They can't hurt us. Not really. And you know I'll protect you."
The angle changes to a static shot from behind Steve, giving full view of the soft and adoring way Eddie watches the other man.
👻 Investigation 15 ~ 2:03-3:45am 👻
The camera shows Steve and Eddie in their respective sleeping bags, both snoring. A time lapse captures the way they shift and shuffle in their sleep, until they're curled against each other on the floor.
It also captures the distant sound of an unintelligible voice and something clank in another room. Eddie flails, twisting and turning.
"Steve?" He says. "Steve!" He pushes out of the sleeping bag. "What the fuck was that?"
Steve sits up, his hair standing on end around his head. "Eds? What's wrong?"
"You didn't hear that?" Eddie's eyes are wide and panicked.
"No. What was it?"
"I heard like, voices or some shit. Maybe something falling over?"
Steve squirms out of his sleeping bag, grabbing a flashlight and starting recording on his phone.
"What are you doing?" Eddie grabs Steve's forearm.
"Investigating?"
"Aren't you--"
Steve cups Eddies cheek. "No, babe, I'm not scared. Let's go look, yeah?"
Steve walks out of frame, and Eddie stands frozen, until he slowly lifts a hand to trace where Steve touched against face. "Babe?" he whispers
👻 Investigation 22 👻
"Well, we're staying the night again." Steve says. "How'd you feel about the last time, Eds?"
"At least we're investigating a hotel and get a bed. Last time was terrible," Eddie frowns. "You were so calm."
"So, it wasn't terrible because we spent the night on the floor in a haunted place, but because I wasn't scared?"
"Pretty much."
"Shouldn't it be a good thing that I'm brave and strong and protective?"
Eddie gags. "Gross, man."
"What? Look at these muscles--I could take a ghost out." Steve flexes.
"You're not allowed to fistfight the ghosts, we've talked about this."
"Aw, c'mon, you don't think I can take a ghost?"
"Absolutely not, Stevie. You've never won a single fight."
Steve's mouth drops. "Excuse me. I've won at least one of them"
"Not a great track record."
"This is cruel. You're being cruel to me. After I've saved you from rats and from ghosts and from--"
"Yeah, yeah, my hero. C'mon, let's get moving."
Eddie's being sarcastic, but Steve's face still flushes a bright pink.
👻 Investigation 22 ~ 1:45-2:17am 👻
They fall asleep with the EVP still between them. Like before, the distance between their bodies closes as time passes until Steve is tucked close around Eddie, his arm draped over Eddie's waist.
It's sweet, peaceful until Steve starts to twitch. The mics pick up unintelligible murmuring until it becomes something close to short yelps and bitten off screams. Steve whimpers a long, heartbreaking sound and his body starts to shake, his hands grasping at his own face.
Eddie snuffles, is quiet for a second, before he realizes something is wrong. He twists to Steve, grabbing his shoulders. "Stevie, baby, oh my god, what's wrong. Steve!"
The other man wakes with a heaving gasp, flailing and shouting Eddie's name.
"I'm here. I'm right here." Eddie rests his hands against Steve's face, but pulls back, looking at his hands with wide eyes. "Why are you bloody, sweetheart?"
"What?" Steve reaches up, gingerly touching his cheeks. "What the fuck," Steve hisses. "What the fuck."
A flashlight flicks on, illuminating the long but shallow scratches across Steve's left cheek. "Jesus, baby. What happened?"
"I--" Steve is trembling hard enough his voice shakes. "I thought I was dreaming? I heard this voice and then this shape walked towards me from the bathroom." Steve points. "He--it reached for me, and I knew I shouldn't let him touch me, so I fought, but--" He's shaking too hard to continue.
"It's okay," Eddie 's voice is soft. "It's alright, sweetheart. It's over, yeah? I won't let anything bad happen to you, promise."
"I thought--Eddie, I thought--"
"I know, I know, sweetheart. It wasn't, though. We're okay."
"I'm scared, Eds," is barely heard through the mic.
"It's okay. I got you, yeah? I'll always have you."
Eddie starts singing something, soft soft, so only the melody catches, still too faint to make out. He holds Steve tight, cards fingers through his hair until the shaking stops.
"Not so brave now, huh?" Steve asks, giving a little wet chuckle.
"Baby, you are the bravest person I know. This doesn't change that. Not for an instant."
"Liar." Steve presses his face harder against Eddie's neck.
"To you? Never."
They sit in silence a little longer before Steve moves. Eddie caresses the man's face, lets his thumbs graze over his cheekbones. He knows affection is spilling out of him, overflowing, swallowing everything, but there's nothing Eddie can do about it anymore.
"Eddie?" Steve asks.
They close the lingering distance between them on some unspoken mutual agreement, lips slotting together like they'd been doing this for years and hadn't condemned themselves to a lifetime of quiet yearning.
Steve brushes his tongue against Eddie's mouth, and Eddie lets him in, their tongues meeting in a wet tangle. They kiss and kiss and kiss, lost to the moment, cameras and ghosts and the world forgotten for each other.
They part, staying close enough to share air. "Hey, Eds?"
"Yeah, sweetheart?"
"I have a huge crush on you."
Eddie's nose wrinkles before he erupts in a sweet laugh. "Well, thank god for that. I'm fucking gone on you, baby."
"Yeah?" Steve whispers now.
"You're sort of everything, Steve Harrington."
"Fuck," Steve buries his face into Eddie's neck. "Is now the time to say that I think you're it for me? Cause--"
He doesn't get the rest of the words out, the force of Eddie's kiss sending his mind to outer space.
When they pull apart again, Steve quietly says, "thank you, ghosts," and Eddie giggles.

I have a question for those of you with ADHD and medicated for it. For reference, I was diagnosed at age 36, and began medication at age 40.
Now, for the weird thing. Until a few months ago, I used to enjoy scary movies. This year, my interest in them has gradually faded. What scary movies I enjoy has been getting narrower and narrower. Now it's some Stephen King films (Doctor Sleep), stuff inspired by real events (a haunting in connecticut), and films made to look like live recorded documentaries (Paranormal Activity). Gory stuff has never been on the menu because I end up loudly emptying the contents of my stomach. I like stuff that gets in your head, but doesn't leave you fucked up (you could not pay me enough to watch Child's Play, and I'm never watching Final Destination again).
I tried watching some new things, but wither found them genuinely upsetting, or I simply lost interest. Horror and scary films no longer have the impact they once did. In fact, I now crave more story than anything else. Before meds, I almost needed scary films because my brain would get so bored my mental health would tank. I can't explain it well, but those with ADHD may understand what I mean.
So, my question is this: have any of y'all with medicated ADHD noticed something like this?
I think this is happening because my brain isn't craving the novelty and excitement the films used to bring. The medication has been amazing, making my head quiet, helping me perform tasks and stay on task, and I'm calm. If you've experienced similar since taking meds for your ADHD, feel free to chime in with what changed for you with regards to losing interest in something like a specific genre of films/shows/music/books. I know one person who, prior to starting medication, couldn't stand listening to thr same album more than twice. It stopped being interesting. Then he started meds, and will listen to the same album five or six times in a day. He no longer craves the novelty of New and Fresh Now Now Now.
If you hapoen to be a doctor who specializes in ADHD, feel free to chime on.
I'm not sad about this, nor upset. Just...baffled.

"I'm looking for a formula. So far I only got an approximate one." "You're trying to synthesize an analog of fire breath and the philosopher's stone at the same time!?! Alone?! Right here?!" Granger averts her gaze to her toes and grates her lower lip with her teeth. "'Damn, let's pretend you didn't hear that, shall we? I really just want my purse". "Purse? No, wait, we're not done with the last topic yet." "There's nothing particularly scary about it." "Why don't I believe you?" "Stupid prejudice?" "Common sense. What about your purse?" "It's by the cauldron, and that's between the centrifuge and the activated matrix for recording paranormal activity." "Why don't-” Draco tries to remain calm.“ Can you say that again, why can't you just go out and get her?” Granger once again shrugs and then squints warily at the wall behind her. “Who is‘red riding hood’, Granger? "A ghost,” she covers her eyes, touches her forehead, and says tiredly, ‘It's ’Red Riding Hood's mom.' The ghost of Jinny Bingham, a sixteenth century witch, a member of the Order of Red Riding Hoods. More accurately, well..." "What else?" “How can I put it? “Just tell it like it really is." "This is her severed head." Loud pause. "You're telling me that ghost head is flying around this house right now, looking for you to-" "I'm not sure she really wants to kill me."

Persona Analog Horror Ideas
Because I like to mix my hobbies.
The recordings of a Sumaru person who doesn't know a demon sneaked into their house and has been living there for some time now. Think of a mix between Paranormal Activity and the Mandela Catalogue.
A person feeling fatigued and unsettled every time they wake up until they somehow discover they are awake sometime after 12:59 PM but before 1 AM. Turns out they have been experiencing (and forgetting) the Dark Hour every night. Not that they know what that is. Due to the lack of electronics during the Dark Hour, the person has to rely on notes and shitty equipment to record their experiences.
A student whose number of classmates reduces as they become afflicted with Apathy Syndrome. Its only implied it has to do with the approaching full moon.
A government tape from the late 90s detailing what to do in the case of a demon outbreak and how to cover it up. Mix in the "secret" Anti-Devil State Defense Law for extra flavor.
A news reporter from the 80s initially begins investigating St. Hermelin due to the mysterious deaths of female students across the years. This leads them to the Snow Queen Mask.
Dumb teenagers sneak into the abandoned Morimoto Sanitarium before its teared down. They don't know that demons and ghosts lingered there way after the end of the Rumor Curse.
An entire series focusing on the human experiments that the NWO and the Kirijo Group did.

alright…. i went and saw snc's movie.
here are my thoughts
ABSOLUTE SPOILERS AHEAD
i'm gonna separate this into two main parts - the plot and my feelings.
THE PLOT
part 1: snc and nate go to ranch to look for skinwalkers/aliens/crypted, since all three have been sighted at this one ranch. it is claimed that a billionaire owned the land before the current owners, and spent ten years trying to find out what paranormal pull the land had. eventually, said billionaire, named bigalow, fucked around with something that pissed off the spirit of a shaman and it scared him away, so much so he does not talk about or come back to this place ever.
snc interview a psychic/ghost hunter that has been on their channel before, becky vickers. she tells them about the land, and they end up telling her that they plan on doing a blood ritual. they plan to give their blood to the land on a sacred area/believed portal so that the shaman can protect them, guide them, ect. she tells them that's a stupid idea. then she says to them "off camera", which is completely still in the movie lol, that sam needs to be careful. bc while colby is safe/worked thru whatever was blocking him, sam hasn't. there is something that sam is holding back/keeping to himself that puts him in danger, and he needs to let that go. she also says it's dumb for them to do the blood ritual and she suggests against it.
they do the blood ritual.
as snc and nate search the land, they start off in some rooms in a hotel that they are staying at on property, one of which is where bigalow saw the shaman. they have a rempod, nate does the estes method, they get some interesting words said back to them. one of which is "chimes". colby goes out to search for chimes near by. when he does, the video he was recording has no audio (somehow it did not record audio and this was on his phone). he finds chimes, in tandem with that, nate gets the word "run". colby alleges to hear a scream off in the distance (which mind you they are in the middle of no where) so he runs back to the room where nate and sam are. as they are talking about it, the rempod goes off a bunch. one of the last words they get on the estes method is "preserver"
part 2: the next day they interview the archeologist on cite that explains the different artifacts they have found throughout the land. in particular, this long knife-like blade that must have been used as an offering of some sort bc it's too long to be used as a spear/arrowhead. he talks to them about specific areas on the land, particularly the shaman cave and sacred circle. he explained that shamans were trying to connect to the spirit realm or possibly other dimensions altogether via alter states of consciousness. and it's believed that bigalow was trying to see what the shamans were doing, but thru modern means, and most likely pissed something off that caused him to flee.
in particular, they say that bigalow was doing too much, searching too hard and pushing the limits, and thus that's why he was scared off. keep this in mind for later.
the archeologist then says that bigalow was disturbing the land, and then snc and nate ask if they should do that to get the shaman's attention. he says that's one way of getting it to pay attention to you, and then it cuts to them blowing the land up a bit.
at night, snc and nate go the settlers cabin, which is from the 1800s and was home to the craw family. they use the onvoy and they ask the spirits about skinwalkers and the shaman. when they bring up the shaman's name, the (assumed) craw family stops speaking even tho before they were very talkative. the boys come to the conclusion that the poltergeist activity the craw family experience was most likely from the shaman.
the boys regroup and try to figure out a better way to understand everything. bc of the evidence they have gotten before, they believe that everything is connected (since that is what has been coming thru via the estes method), so they figure the best way to get more evidence is to do a ritual a shaman would do - which really just amounts to them lighting candles inside the cave and nate playing guitar, and doing the estes method again - but i'm getting ahead of myself.
part 3: they travel to the sacred circle and bring out *sigh* the writing planchette, along with the blade that was found in the land via the archeologist. they end up getting an infinity sign after being spooked by the static device they have going off (which shouldn't happen since there's no electricity that high up/no service at all). they believe it is whatever they are talking to/the shaman's way of explaining that again, everything is all connected and time means nothing bc everything is happening all at once. also when this happens, colby gets a lot of shortness of breath, anxiety all of sudden. nate meditates for a bit while they use the flashlight to continue talking. they end up being told that the land is haunted by aliens, skinwalkers, and ghosts. then they ask if they should continue this convo in the shaman cave, they get a yes, and then they go.
while in the cave, nate plays guitar and snc set up candles all over. colby goes under in the estes method, sam feels wind come from inside the cave. colby (via the estes method) tells him to go over there, sam squats down, and then jumps back up bc he felt as if he was gonna be touched - not that he was, but that he felt the instinct to get up bc he thought it was gonna happen. the shaman speaks and says that it's there to educate and to teach respect, most likely, to the boys.
nate asks the very valid question of "what are our intentions here anyway" to which sam responds that they are purely here to understand the difference between this side (the physical) and the other side (paranormal). to which immediately after saying that colby replies with "connected". they ask how is everything, the aliens, ghosts, and skinwalkers, connected. colby eventually replies with "same". they mention is this area, the cave, a portal, colby says "here".
as sam ponders whether or not the shamans were actually contacting the other side or actually going to the other side, colby says "danger", nate and sam jump back and take colby out of the estes method bc they heard behind them something running up to them from right outside the cave. they weren't sure if it was a person or an animal. eventually once they chill out, colby goes back under. sam ends up asking the shaman why they do rituals like this for 1000s of years on this land, going back and forth between worlds. colby replies with "mine". then "everything", then "home". sam then says "everything here is your home and you want to protect it?", colby immediately responds with "yes". sam (and colby) clarify that the shamans were using the spirits to help protect their land. sam continues to ask "but what about all the aliens, skinwalkers, ghosts - are they all yours too?" then colby responds with "one". nate then says "he wants us to unsee the division. ghosts, skinwalkers, humans, shamans, all of it. we all exist in the same place at the same time" and colby replies with "finally". once out of the estes method, colby ends up being told what he said and he said it sounds like the unified theory of paranormal.
snc and nate finish off the blood ritual, and then there is some truly terrible acting at the end with a voiceover of snc talking about how they knew they had to leave there and that this opens up so many doors and colby has the truly heinous line of "*sigh* but why am i scared?" lol
okay….. that is what happens in the movie, roughly. let's get into how i feel about all of this.
MY FEELINGS
so, the main question i feel many will ask is: is it worth going to see?
and that's a complicated answer. i think the movie overall was really interesting to watch. it was an odd sensation, but i mean that in the nicest way possible, to see snc on the big screen. snc have always, weirdly, been my little secret. most ppl i interact with daily don't know i'm a fan of them. so to be in a room with other snc fans, some of which might be even bigger fans than me, watching something by them was really cool and odd at the same time lol
is the movie worth paying to watch? that depends on how you feel about snc and their content. bc this wasn't much different than anything else on their channel. but i will say if this had been a vid on their channel, it would be my favorite of this past year. so it's definitely their best content as of recent date. but is it worth paying $15 for (not taking in food and drink/getting to the cinema)… i think so. bc it's a whole experience. so if you can afford it, do so. but if you can't, don't think you're missing out on much either.
i enjoyed my time watching the movie, and i don't personally think i've wasted my money paying to see this. god knows i've spent my money on much worse content and random shit, so this is the least of my concerns truly.
also the rumors are true - they do in fact use a fuckton of ai. like way more than i expected. and while i don't love that they did that, i honestly don't care enough to be upset. i feel like there are more important things to worry about tbh. but in case that's a point of contention for you, imma letting you know now.
the overall vibe i got from the movie was very hippy dippy, and sam his philosophical ass was at an all time high, so if that's not exactly what you like watching… maybe skip out on this movie.
a post i made the day i saw this movie said: my main take away is that sam would literally summon the devil, lucifer himself, if it meant proving the afterlife was real or that the paranormal does exist. but he won’t admit that out loud. and what i mean by that is that it became very clear in this movie, and probably on accident, that there is a similarity between bigalow and sam. that they both keep pushing and pushing and pushing to find answers instead of accepting what is in front of them, and that gets them put into danger. and i think that's what the ghost hunter/psychic was referring to.
i've talked about it before on here but sam has a tendency to always jump to the worse conclusion. it's not a ghost, it's a demon. it's not a friendly spirit, it's a trickster trying to hurt them. he always does shit like this. and i think this ties to him seeking out "the truth", whatever that may be in his mind. he wants definitive proof that the afterlife exists. and i think for a while he had that with the conjuring/cody and satori. but i think he's come around to the idea that maybe they were fake or lied to him or tricked him, even if he will never admit this out loud. and now that desperation is at an all time high. and look, idk what this deep feeling comes from. is it bc he wants to be the person that truly knows what happens behind the curtain? is it to have the title as The Ghosthunter? is it just not enough alone to him to have faith and after years of searching that maybe everything they have done is enough proof on it's own? idk. i think his search is selfish in it's own way, and while i don't think it's wrong to want that answer, i think what's worrisome is how far he might go to find it. which is why i say i think he would summon the devil if he thought it would be proof enough.
but the thing is, once you knock on a door, you can't unknock. and not only that, but he doesn't protect himself. and i'm not even talking about believing in god, i'm saying he does nothing to cleanse himself. he does nothing to get out of that headspace after being in it. and i think that alone, whether you believe in evil or not, is gonna ruin him eventually. he's gonna push himself too far in pursuit of an answer he may not want to hear. and not only that, i think he will push everyone away to find it, sadly. including colby.
i also personally think that the reason for this desperate search for an afterlife not only comes from wanting to know the answer, but bc of his "purpose". he wants to feel important; we all do. and i think in his mind it's like this, either a - he doesn't feel like he's gonna reach this said purpose on this plain of existence and thus if there is an afterlife, he might have it there instead and all of this can be a little less burdensome. b - he wants to be the one to prove the afterlife exists and have that be his purpose so if he doesn't find it, he's lost at life. or c (which is related to b) - if there isn't an afterlife at all, then all of this was for nothing and he needs to find something else to both fill his time and be his purpose otherwise he wasted his potential.
i'm not saying that i agree with any of these, but i think that one of these is the reason he does all of this. or maybe not lol
overall i think i would rate this movie like a 3.8/5 stars. it would honestly be a 4 if it wasn't for the ai bc at one point, it was just a bit much lol but i think the movie itself was interesting enough, i felt entertained thru out, and again - if this had been on their channel it would be their best video this year.
if yall have seen it, let me know your thoughts !
