Instagram Outfit Round-Up

It’s Fridayyyyyy! And I’m so pumped. Mostly because I have plans almost all day today which means I will be out of my dust-infested home while the bathroom gets gutted and renovated. Sure, I’ll be coming back to a dust-infested home, but at least I don’t have a jackhammer pounding in my head all day long. Someone mentioned on instagram that next time I renovate something in my house, I should go on a long vacation so I don’t even have to deal with it. Sadly, renovations are F*CKING EXPENSIVE so the whole vacation thing won’t be on list for a while. But I do love that dream – Leave on vacation and come home to a perfect looking space. One day people, one day. Until then, I’ll be walking around with greasy, dusty hair since I can’t shower, wearing clothes that smell like sawdust. I’m so cute.

ANYWHO, let’s get to some outfits this week! Here are some looks I’ve been wearing in the past couple weeks in Denver and Phoenix! Phoenix weather was absolutely perfect while we were there which means I brought self tanner with me and used it as soon as I landed. But guess what? Self tanner expires, especially when you’re trying to use it almost a year later. And you know what color it turns? Green. And since I had got up at 3:30am that morning to fly to Phoenix and had drank some super delicious champagne for Cassy’s birthday…I ALMOST used that green tanner. A part of my brain wondered if it would still turn tan on my skin. Luckily I still had some sense in me and threw it away. All this being said, I found some crappy tanner to rub on my legs before I threw these super comfortable shorts on and headed to dinner. Paperbag shorts seem to be the only shorts that fit me. I think all others should be illegal, for selfish reasons.

Now this is a look I find myself wearing almost every single day most days. I’m not sure if that’s totally healthy but who has time for jeans when joggers are just way easier and quicker to get on? And something you guys have asked for in the past are more affordable outfit pieces and this look definitely delivers. The top is $8, the joggers are $20 and the sneakers are only $25 and they are seriously the most comfortable sneakers you will ever put on! I’ve been wearing them nonstop!

Next up, here’s a look I wore while in Phoenix while sitting in a conference all day. In this conference, they kept making us stand up and do some sort of exercise that’s hot on the east coast right now and pretty much flail around while yelling. The problem with this conference is that women got DRESSED UP, even I was pretty dressed up for a Saturday. But when women dress up, it’s hard to squat then flail your hands up in the air like Gumby. Our dumb clothes don’t work like that. All this to say, I loved this look but it’s not great for physical exercise on a Saturday morning. Surprise surprise. So when the fitness instructor came on stage for the last time, I sprinted to the bathroom to hide. Not my thing. Nor was it for the 40 other people hiding in the bathroom at the same time.

This look didn’t work well for flailing either. Blazers just weren’t made for raising your arms above your head. BUT this is probably my most favorite blazer I’ve ever purchased. I’ve already worn in multiple times since I got it and wore it to the Pink concert the other night, too. Just a heads up if you’re going to the Pink concert – be prepared to sweat then cry. I cried twice in her show. She evokes some emotion and I love her so damn much now. I thought she was great before but now I know she’s the best! Go see her!

I know I said I hate jeans, and I do, but these ones are my go-to whenever I don’t want to wear jeans. Because they ALWAYS FIT. My leg size changes almost weekly and these stretchy jeans work no matter what. And I love them for that. And how damn cute is this purse? It’s a purse that’s ready to go on vacation somewhere warm with a sea breeze. I’m also ready for that. Why do I live in a landlocked state?!

Here’s yet another look I wore in Phoenix when we headed out to dinner with 25 other people. I had some major anxiety about dinner but luckily it was a looooong table so I only had to talk to about 5 people. It’s amazing how my anxiety heightens as I age. But I made it through! I know you were so worried. If you don’t have this sleeveless blazer yet, GET IT! It’s the best and super affordable. And I love it for making a simple look just a tad more classy and sleek! It will be great for spring and summer!

Last but not least, a dress that I have been waiting a couple months to wear. This is my favorite type of summer dress – it tightens around the waist to give you some shape but then flares out around the bum and legs so you feel free and your legs aren’t feeling trapped. This dress is pretty dang affordable and is so flattering!! I wore this dress all day one afternoon in Phoenix before our Uber driver got side swiped and about lost his sh*t on the other driver. Road rage is real people. Look before you merge.
