First ever PWHL finals start today!

But, legitimate problem here, I don't have a team.

For the first round of the playoffs I managed to pick teams to root for with a combination of upsets are funny and choosing the most American goalie. But now that Boston and Minnesota have both won their series I have until five pm to choose who to root for. And I'm stuck.

Upsets are funny: Both of these teams were supposed to lose last round. Minnesota started the season strong and fell off. Boston started weak and finished hot. Minnesota reverse swept the best team in the league, but only after they lost their best forward. Boston's sweep relied on an otherworldly goaltending performance. I'm not sure who the underdog is.

Most American goalie: Maddie Rooney was the team USA starter for our last Olympic gold medal. Aerin Frankel is the current starter for the US national team. Minnesota's backup (Nicole Hensley) is also American while Boston's (Emma Söderberg) is Swedish but if either team uses their backup in this series, something has gone horribly wrong.
