tfw when you assume all your friends will be on the side of the people suffering actual literal genocide. out of like. natural basic human decency.
but then you remember the people suffering genocide are Muslims and you can never be too sure when your people are the ones suffering 💀💀🤣
and then you see the same post calling for ceasefire and also abolition of western terrorist regimes five times in a row on your dash from various mutuals 🥹💙
#this is a positive post btw. not that basic humanity deserves a medal.#but there's so much islamophobia in the world and tumblr users in particular care very little about us muslims so.#i'm actually pleasantly surprised.#ty for not hating your fellow human beings ig#sorry lol i'm a bit pessimistic most of the time. i genuinely do appreciate your support. sometimes it's a little overwhelming actually <3#anyway.#from the river to the sea palestine will be free#palestine#free palestine#gaza#free gaza#israel is a terrorist state#islamophobia#antizionism#colonialism#gaza strip#all that jazz

Russia's opposition to Israel is not at all contradictory with the ongoing war in Ukraine actually. As someone who lives here, I can confidently guess that the opposition comes from Russia being 1. anti-West and 2. antisemitic.
Anti-West thing is pretty self-explanatory. It the West likes something, it's bad, be it colonialism or gay rights.
Russians are also Incredibly antisemitic. Swastikas and jokes about Hitler are commonplace, and anything related to Judaism on the Internet is met with antisemitism and, as I saw several times, photos of a smiling Hitler. Russia Loves priding itself on fighting against Nazi Germany during WWII, but everyone hates Jewish people and, Again, treats symbols of the third Reich as jokes.
There's a bus stop in my town that has a drawing of a simplistic figure stretching its arm out to call a bus, that has been drawn into Hitler, swastika and mustache. They were only scraped off by hand on May 9 (Victory Day) when people remembered that they're supposed to be against this shit.
A common way of saying you don't want to spend money on something is "being a Jew" btw.
So it was no surprise when antisemitism increased drastically since October 7. Just recently a group of people in Dagestan (a republic with a major Muslim population) infiltrated a plane to Israel to harass Jewish people. Russians authorities claim that Ukraine had a part in the organisation of it, of course.
Obviously, I'm not saying that only Jewish people suffer from more hate crimes because of the current events. Both Jewish and Muslim people were widely hated in the rest of the world already, and seeing an oppressed group killing another oppressed group is a great excuse to harass either or both of these groups.
#im also not saying that being against israel is antisemitic but im not gonna write out the complexities of antisemitism.#like yeah be against the ongoing ethnic cleansing of palestinians but maybe dont be so happy about Bad Evil Jews dying will ya#this is barely coherent ramblings i needed to clear my head of. might delete it#also i will say that russians are extremely islamophobic as hell. jokes about arabs being terrorists and rapist and stupid and all that jazz#i live in north caucasus where there's a significant muslim population and man. shits bad.#sorry for only skimming this stuff as opposed to writing it in the post itself im really tired at this point.#cat talks

Absolutely need to tell someone about this idk why it took me so long to figure it out but thanks to my job and having access to an Arabic textbook (In southeast asia where non-muslims dont use Arabic) i am bamboozled and flabberghasted to find out Jamil is the transliteration of beautiful in Arabic
i honestly adore his name because of it!! jamil <33 i can imagine him getting flustered when being called jamil, and it not being his name
"oh, ya jamil (oh, beautiful)~" he pulls his hood down over his face and averts his gaze, "you aren't as sly as you think," he mutters. his face and ears felt so warm all of a sudden.
sometimes i also wish they gave him an arabic or farsi last name too?? hanash means snake in arabic, and i literally know people with that last name.
on that topic, i do wanna mention that snakes being evil are a western concept. islamically, they have been used in various forms of art (such as in hospitals), but they are also depicted as stinging away evil spirits. the islamic tale of adam and hauwa(eve) does not have a snake that tempts them to eat from the tree, so snakes were never evil. islam also advises against killing animals, unless it is in an act of self-defense, such as during ancient times when they were used in assassination.
i could not find the article i read it from, but snakes are also used to symbolize motherhood and the divinity of mothers. the act of shedding skin is like bringing in a new life and all that jazz.
there's also the middle eastern story of shahmaran (i believe her name is 'queen of snakes' in farsi. shah = king, but her name is always translated to 'queen of snakes), a half-snake half-woman. in "one thousand and one nights" or 'alf layla wa layla', shahmaran is not portrayed as bad nor good. in some of the stories, she was respected and people wanted to earn her respect, or she was like an oracle who warned people of danger.
to this day, in kurdish folklore, shahmaran symbolizes good luck, and depictions of her can be found in some homes. even in the stories where she dies, she is more sympathetic.
anyways, i rambled a lot. here's some art of shahmaran by turkish artists, sibel dogan. dogan does a lot of traditional turkish and middle eastern artwork on saatchi art btw

about me ♡
This is what I look like, obviously lol ^^
- my name is Bayyinah (by-ee-nuh) , it means the clear evidence that god does exist. From sura 98, of the Quran
- California native, born and raised 🐻❤️
- I was raised muslim, but chose a different life path for myself and fell in love with spirituality and found my purpose.
- I prioritize self expression and being intentional about everything I say and do. What you see is what you get with me, and I never say anything I don’t mean, I never do anything I don’t feel called to do.
- I love the arts & the process of creation and have always since I was really little.
-I’m a big fan of aesthetics and visual stimuli, and I love Pinterest and organizing all the little pictures.
- my big three are: Sagittarius sun, cancer moon, and Virgo rising.
- both my venus and mars are in scorpio. I’m in love with love. A great deal of my life lessons are learned through my interpersonal relationships.
- I’m very passionate about children, motherhood and the home. My moon is in cancer and I have heavy influences in my life surrounding motherhood, my relationship with my mother, and the dynamics and things I’ve experienced growing up. A large quantity of my work, and my lives purpose has to do with breaking generational curses/trauma, spinning gold out of my experiences, and creating room and creating change for youth.
- I’m on my journey to become a certified and licensed midwife, but I have various career goals and dreams but one of my largest is to open up a school or an educational institution to better suit the needs of children and aid in their health and growth. I believe that schooling and the home are large foundations in the lives of our youth and if I can’t be all of their mothers I can curate an aligned space for them as they spend the rest of their time learning and growing in schools and in the community.
-I love makeup and fashion and the process of putting myself together. I’ve been doing makeup for years and I genuinely enjoy it.
-I’m known for my compassion and empathy and my ability to connect with others.
-my dream is to create and have a better world and I do my part in helping the collective by using my gifts for good, using my heart and my empathy to help heal and create space for others where there wasn’t space for them before.
- I have dyscalculia and struggled with it all my life until I eventually aged out of school and before I moved onto receiving higher education. My mind simply does not process numerical information or processes well. I was either always told that I needed to practice more or that I was simply stupid, neither were the case, but I struggled with a lot insecurity growing up and I always felt like I didn’t really belong in educational settings because of this set back.
- I am extremely nitpicky and specific about what it is that I want and how I like things to be and that’s been a consistent trait within my life, all my life. I’m known for how specific and finely curated my output is into the world. And I am incredibly sensitive about the things I choose for myself and the things that remain and occupy my life.
- I struggled with having an anxious attachment style for a really long time. It took me a long time to understand my worth, understand that I was worth keeping, having, loving, paying attention to. And that my worth wasn’t what I could do for others or how much I could tolerate or how much I could stand beside someone through thick and thin and hell and back.
likes:
- I love writing. Journaling, writing stories, etc. my goal is to write and release a novel of my own soon.
- I love smooth jazz, classical music and frequency music, probably a whole lot more than regular music and non instrumentals. I tend to be a little sensitive to stimuli or can feel very easily overwhelmed. So instrumentals and softer music and sounds are really wonderful to me and I love them.
- I love cooking and baking (but only when I feel like it) I like good food, and I’m sort of a foodie. I would travel all over the place just to taste the world if I could. And I love spicy food and Mexican Candy and dumping loads of chili flakes on my food for no reason.
-I love history, and have stored random historical facts in my brain because I just think it’s so interesting.
- I love period pieces and period romances. Romance films, and horror movies. I consume mostly romantic content on purpose.
- I love the sims
-I love animals, and my favorite animal is a cow. If you look up the spiritual significance of a cow as well I think it’s really beautiful. I also really love my cat. She’s my favorite person.
Dislikes:
- I hate being or feeling misunderstood, it took me a lot of time to learn that I didn’t have to bend over backwards to make people see me for who I was or for my intentions or for my gifts or what I can do. The best I can do is be honest and remain intentional about what I do and hope that those who are meant to hear me, will.
- I hate people who have such deeply rooted hatred or disdain for other people who’ve done nothing but do what makes them happy or live in their truth. I hate homophobic people, racists, bigots, red pill men and misogynist, etc.
- I hate it when people can’t take accountability for their actions, are dishonest or lack self awareness on such a deep level that they make everyone else miserable or have a hard time because they refuse to see themselves or grow. I hate it when people don’t grow. I’ve lost a lot of friends and had to let go of a lot of people who couldn’t do what I could do for them, be in alignment with me, or prioritize their healing, alignment, or growth.
- i hate it when there’s too many sounds playing at once, there are certain sounds and stimuli i just can’t tolerate and won’t.
- I hate it when I have to buy new jeans or pants because finding good pants is hard and I never know if the size I think I am is accurate because some pants brands make their pants differently. And I’ll never know if I’ll have that stupid gap in the back of my pants bc of my waist.
- I hate being super cold. I have anemia and the cold really whoops my ass every time. That’s one fight I just won’t win.
- people not valuing my needs or continuing to do something I said I didn’t like or invalidating me because they can’t fathom the fact that other people have different needs, or that just because you feel some way doesn’t mean someone else shares the same sentiment.
- I hate it when things don’t match or aren’t aesthetically coordinated in some way shape or form. Everything must match.
-I hate it when I can’t find the pen I’ve been obsessed with and I hate mechanical pencils with thick lead.
***
Ok, that’s all lol. ❤️‼️

So I'm a muslim and a lot of the stories in the Quran & the Bible are essentially the same with different names (arabic name vs english name), sorry that this gonna be a vent
The Noah ark's story still doesn't make sense to me because the ecological disaster of a worldwide flood (we already in hell with climate change already) but my parents & brother... They just believe it as it is even after I explain that no, it's an massive ecological disaster and no amount of religious belief logic can convinced me that everyone in that ship can repopulate the earth without a bottleneck in genes in less than 7 generations, not to mention all plants are dead dead from the flood and sea water mixing into the fresh water, even the fishes & sea mammals are probably gonna dip in number fast from getting stranded after the flood disappear or their habitat is destroyed frol hell & back
Also Moses story, my parents believe that Pharaoh is a SINGLE PERSON and not a fucking royal title (yes I managed to get the Ancient Egypt phase)
Oh and back in elementary school, my class and 2 other class got gathered to watch a homemade religious movie to teach us about the sins and virtues and all that jazz, the thing is that the homemade movie also shows a very minimally censored corpse on a hospital bed that has been badly decomposing and calling that what's happen to sinners
Yeah a lot of the stuff you brought up is partially why I was agnostic when I was younger. But I also like to think that part of the Bible is a mix of exaggeration, mythos, and just the effect of the fact that face it, the writers of it likely weren't very well travelled, and while the whole earth couldn't flood, a decent few hundred / thousand miles probably could have.
That religious movie sounds a bit extreme to be showing elementary schoolers though. Sorry you had to see that, it probably would have haunted me for life.
#anyways this will be the only thing i reslly post related to the Bible and only the Bible#it doesnt have strong ties to proship and i dont really wanna talk a whole lot about it here#because flame wars start on proship topics enough#theres no need to bring in something else inflammatory#proshippers against censorship#jackal barks#proship please interact#proshippers please interact#proship positivity#proship#proshipper safe#proshipping#proshipper#anti anti#ask#asks#no stance

Danielle and Armande WLW WIP!
Currently in the early stages of a story called "How Not to Plan a Future" focused on the trials and tribulations as Dani and Armande navigate trying to plan a wedding, nosy aunties, found family, and lesbian baby making.
Dani (Will kill you if you call her Danielle.)
40 years old
2 time Pullitzer Prize winner, already.
Twice divorced to men (and she'll tell you all about it)
Finally quit smoking a couple years ago
No clue how she bagged a gorgeous woman ten years younger than her considering she's already going grey.
Armande (Not De Romanus thank you.)
30 years old
Millionaire art dealer
Obsessed with her ipad and making heinous smoothie concotions to give Dani
Moved her biological mother and family over to America when they asked
Hit on Dani because she liked her hair and the soft butch vibes.
Now full disclosure, I have no idea when this will actually be posted as I would like to have a decent amount of the fic done so I can have some kind of upload schedule but I am very jazzed about the idea!
I hope you enjoy the idea of Dani and Armande frantically trying to cobble together a wedding that somehow includes their muslim, jewish, and catholic beliefs while keeping their families from killing eachother.
(Louis and Lestat will also feature as Lou (they/them) who is a museam curator and well, Lestat (she/her) a well established rock musician.)
Show this post some love if you like the idea??

The last year really disillusioned me with the American "progressives" tbh. Because it's mostly just focused inwards. I've just watched an entire political party and it's supporters scream about freedom and justice and how it's so so so important to fight against fascism, and while doing that they've been actively participating in a genocide of Palestinians and propping up the most openly fascist regime in the modern world.
And honestly, it kinda killed any hopes I had about American left too. Because if you actually look closely, basically the only American leftist who actually give a shit about what America does abroad are the first and second generation immigrants, people who have been fucked by it or whose families are currently being fucked. If you look at the american leftists who'se families have been in the US for several generation, be they white OR black, basically all their concerns are internal. They care about American workers, they care about American queer people, they care about American muslims, they care about American black people. I can so easily see a world were US has a communist revolution, establishes the dictatorship of proletariat, all that jazz, but still keeps raping the global south.
And none of that is even really important because there are so few leftists in America to begin with. The vast majority of Americans are perfectly happy with their country being a global parasite that's sucking the world dry. Unfortunately Death to America is not just an edgy slogan, that's the only solution that could actually save the world.

music recs but its only poc artists:
raleigh ritchie- will never shut up about his music. one of my absolute favourite artists at the moment. definitely recommend it if you're into r&b/pop/sadboy music. do not know which album is my favourite but some songs i'd recommend first: bloodsport '15, aristocrats (especially the music video), say what you mean, never better
nahbo- extremely underrated. not actually sure what the genre is but google says its indie/hip-hop/rap. very dj, artsy, and psychedelic vibe. i think all their music, or at least most, is political songs. my favourite album is ruptured. and songs i'd recommend first: slow down, rocket, hashtag authentic, wrinkle
nina simone- was gonna do artists that aren't super popular but i just absolutely love nina simone, i had to include her. her songs stretch into a variety of genre, but it is mostly jazz/blues- she also mostly covers songs. not sure what my favourite album is. but some songs i'd recommend if you haven't heard them: angel of the morning, suzanne, the desperate ones, feeling good
the muslims- punk band. only recently started listening to them. fav album is probably fuck these fucking fascists. and some songs i'd recommend first: there, their, they're, john mccain's ghost sneaks into the white house and tea bags the president, gentrified chicken, fuck the cistem
d3vilishbri- they only have a few songs but they're absolute bangers. its rock/punk. some songs i'd recommend: alright (/w you will know ali), ur the worst! please let me take you out to dinner, immature
otoboke beaver- punk/rock band. most of their songs are in japanese. my favourite album is itekoma hits. some songs i'd recommend first: what do you mean you have to talk to me at this late date?, datsu . hikage no onna, suki suki darling, i don't want to die alone
lady parts- not a real band, it's a band from the tv series 'we are lady parts' (so so good! watch it if you can!) but the music is so good anyway. so some songs i'd recommend: bashir with the good beard, fish and chips, voldemort under my head scarf, cover of we are the champions
#very open to giving out more recs if anyone wishes. just ask#but i am stopping and posting it now cause i am fucking hungry#music recs#non-marauders post#music

Bilal Sayeed Oliver (August 23, 1979) is a singer, songwriter, and record producer. He is an independent artist, noted for his wide vocal range, work across multiple genres, and intense live performances.
He debuted with his popular R&B single “Soul Sista” in 2000, but turned to playing jazz venues and recording more progressive soul music. He has commercially released four albums to critical success, while his unreleased but leaked second album Love for Sale found wide acclaim among critics and listeners. He was a member of the Soulquarians, an experimental black music collective active from the late 1990s to early 2000s. He has been well received, both nationally and internationally, with an extensive list of collaborations including Kendrick Lamar, Common, Erykah Badu, Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Guru, Kimbra, J Dilla, Robert Glasper, and The Roots.
In August 2020, he wrote and recorded his first EP, Voyage-19, over three days and in collaboration with various musicians in remote sessions, which were streamed live on YouTube. The resulting three-track EP was released digitally the following month, with revenues from its sale and accompanying donations given to the participating artists, many of whom had been struggling financially due to the pandemic.
He was born in Germantown, Philadelphia. He grew up in a religiously mixed household, his mother being Christian and his father Muslim. When he was 11 he became choir director at his mother’s church, and at 14 he formed a group and performed gigs at the Blue Moon Cafe in Philadelphia.
He graduated from the Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts and then attended New York City’s New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music. He frequented several jazz clubs in the city and the Wetlands Preserve nightclub, where he connected with musicians of the Soulquarians collective: the Roots, Common, Erykah Badu, and Mos Def. He frequented jam sessions set up by New School professors and students. #africanhistory365 #africanexcellence

Okay am I the only Gen z who got the messages of hunger games and Percy Jackson?
The pjo books pointed out how the Titan Kronos exploited the shitty system the main 12 Olympians created and the much needed reformation the Greco-Roman pantheon needed in their treatments of lesser gods and demigods
The hunger games pointed out how BOTH sides exploit people like Katniss and was as bloodthirsty the capitol leaders.
Y’all remember how district 13 hides bombs in packages which lead to the death of innocent CHILDREN including Katniss sister prim right
Oh and the revolutionaries were planning on doing another hunger games with capitol kids as revenge.
Almost like revolutionaries are as shitty as the oppressors?
*cough* Killmonger *cough*
I mean PJO and Hunger Games gave as much nuance as they could while being published under Disney Hyperion and Scholastic .
But y’all didn’t get the memos
Oh right right my family issues so that why I got it.
Also another thing, the majority of enemies Percy Jackson and other demigods are monsters and gods going like “Your godly parent did something terrible to me so I’m going to take it out on you!”
Just like how for some goddamn reason, a poor white trailer boy is responsible for the evil shit the pilgrims did
But the Benin and Muslim people are A okay despite being the direct descendants of the Dahomey and
*check wiki*
Hmm, the Kashmir genocide, 9/11, the on going rampant killing of Nigerian Christian children by Muslim extremists
Obviously not all of them, but a lot of Gen z doing understand they have the mentality of VILLAINS rather than good people
Oh and my generation saying Osama Bin Laden was right. As a military brat and if I was heard someone say that in public
I will make the hunchback of Norte dome look like Prince Charming after the face rearranging I would do to those wokies
I never read any of those and only saw the first movies of the series's so I can't comment much on that.
Just like how for some goddamn reason, a poor white trailer boy is responsible for the evil shit the pilgrims did But the Benin and Muslim people are A okay despite being the direct descendants of the Dahomey and *check wiki* Hmm, the Kashmir genocide, 9/11, the on going rampant killing of Nigerian Christian children by Muslim extremists Obviously not all of them, but a lot of Gen z doing understand they have the mentality of VILLAINS rather than good people
With the not all of them, yes you're 100% right it's a oddity we get people online making 30 tweet threads about how black Americans are not a monolith but individuals each one being the sum of their own lived experiences which are different from each others.
And then Simone Biles smashes through the record books again (girl is unreal, just wow) and all of a sudden it's melanin power and all that jazz firing right back up. Or god forbid Tim Scott says something
the root: we don't do the HN shame
Also the root: but......
Not so bad as Atlanta Black Star can be but still. ______________
the people cheering on the various Islamic groups confuse the shit out of me, if they think white Europeans were harsh with them they should look up slavery in the middle east.
there were some bright spots yes, but mostly it was slave labor till you could labor no more and then you get left to die
Last place to make slavery illegal was Mauritania in 1982, it was lip service though since having slaves wasn't actually criminalized till 2007.
Still "bonded" servants there too, fancy name for slave/indentured servant for those that may not know that one.

Out of curiosity, do you have any little tidbits or facts for the protectobots as individuals? Like where they're from or just random headcanons you have? They all look so lovely!
Non-character tidbit: Working in them means me blasting “Baba O’Riley” by The Who for 35277473784 times. It’s the team theme song in my head.
Character tidbits:
- I believe Hotspot/Hassan is First Aid/Fatima’s uncle on her paternal side. Which ups his sense of duty/protectiveness over her even more when they’re on the field (they’re very close).
- Hassan was stationed in San Francisco until he moved across the pond to the UK for a fresh start after the incident which left him with those scars. He climbed the ranks to Fire Battalion Chief of the Dead End, which is how he comes to know of Omar/OP and worked hand-in-hand with Omar to care for the ‘forgotten’ borough. Like Omar, he has many men loyal to him, even when he was fired from his position for refusing to take part in the cover up of several arsons targeting public projects/businesses intended to be destroyed to make way for gentrified condos.
- Hassan is Muslim (converted shortly after his brother/Fatima’s father did).
- Fatima’s father is black and her mother is Omani (She was raised in Oman for her formative years) and not a day goes by that they don’t worry about their little dove out on on dangerous field work! But doves are meant to fly and they can only hope that she comes home to roost safe after every mission (she always calls them after debriefing to let them know she’s alright).
- Fatima holds the Hippocratic Oath sacred to her and will not take a life, even as Ronan/Ratchet has no issue bending it to the situation (they have an understanding that they have different approaches) and shooting anyone who threatens his patients in the face (his parents were good people like First Aid, killed in the line of duty, and he’ll afford the world as much mercy as it affords him and those under his care). But, as she’ll let Pharma know , she can be more flexible about things like, say kneecaps.
- Streetwise/Shamar and Blades/Beltran are from New York, and are bash bros/best friends.
- Streetwise has police academy training but upon graduating, went into private detective work instead (he’ll say he just wanted the skills, not the badge, but he’s also actually seeking out his cousin Jazz, who he had been desperately trying to reunite with). He and Nightbeat work together in a joint private detective agency.
- Groove/Go-Eun moved from Busan to the UK to get away from her family and is the one who’s aloof/initially has a hard time adapting to team life.
- Meanwhile Beltran is rabid and will drop all the bodies for his pack.
- Initially they’re an independent rescue division who work in sync with each other.
- Near the end of the war when facing Unicron however, Rung finds a way to repurpose old Quintesson tech—the same kind used for off-world colony Titans except in a smaller scale—to manipulate their modes of rescue transport and have them form ‘Defensor’, a mini-Titan of sorts which all five of them drive like Jaeger pilots (yes, they need to mind-link!) to safeguard at-risk cities. Defensor, like Caminus and Unicron (formerly Antilla), has a sentient AI formed from different facets of their personalities—Hassan’s integrity, Shamar’s sense of brotherhood, Beltran’s tenacity, Fatima’s kindness and Go-Eun creativity/calm under pressure—and is like a big ol’ Great Pyrenees around them.

Hey, idk if my ask got received, just in case it didn't here's the thing again, have a great day
hey there, fellow lesbian here. Little rant up coming, about a few things on your blog. Please, please, read it all the way through and the article I linked before you call me a Nazi. (I may have German heritage, but we left to the US in the late 1890s, I'm German and Polish American, if you're curious) I put way too much thought into this.
So, I do really like your blog, and I like a lot of other blogs that kinda post the same stuff about Gaza and Israel every once in a while. I don't agree with what Israel is doing. It's abhorrent. But so is the hate *you* guys are spreading. Below: My thoughts and rant. (yeah I commented this like yesterday, but I wanted to make sure you and other could see it, so I shot in an ask.)
Uhm...guys...this isn't the answer. First statements: I'm not Jewish. I'm not Zionist. I'm not Muslim. Raised kinda Christian, like I'm baptized, my family rarely goes to church, and we are very open and affirming. (two pride flags in the sanctuary, open gay members, we do ceremonies, all that jazz)
However i think neither of them are right in the first place. Israel, yes, they're the aggressor. But the way the world has responded is shocking. I don't support Israel's actions. I don't support Palestine. But I scroll through these blogs and the amount of hate towards people who aren't directly involved in the conflict, from people it's lives are not going to affect is crazy! Comparing Zionism to Nazis??? Wtf??? I think y'all don't know what Zionism actually is.
This, is taken from annefrankhouse.com. (https://www.annefrank.org/en/topics/antisemitism/are-all-jews-zionists/#:~:text=Zionism%20is%20about%20the%20pursuit,inhabitants%20of%20Israel%20are%20Jewish.)
"Many Palestinians and supporters of the Palestinian cause no longer distinguish between the words 'Jew', 'Israeli' and 'Zionist'. That is not correct. Most Jews do not live in Israel. Not every inhabitant of Israel is Jewish; there are also many non-Jews living in Israel. And not all Jewish Israelis are 'settlers' who want to conquer more and more Palestinian land. The vast majority of Jews believe that the State of Israel should continue to exist. But many Jews, both living in Israel and elsewhere, are in favour of a Palestinian state alongside Israel as a possible solution to the conflict. To cut a long story short: although many Jews identify with Zionism, there are still many different points of view. That is reason enough not to mix up the words 'Jew', 'Israelis' and 'Zionists'."
so, what is wrong with wanting to have a state, a free state, where your religion is respected and your culture is celebrated? Wouldn't anyone want that? Yes, Israel's done some bad shit, I ain't denying it. But that is NO reason to go full anti-Zionist and anti-Semitic. From reading your posts and such, I get the feeling some people don't know what they're getting into.
Also, stop. Stop calling them Nazis. As much as you may hate acknowledging this, this is how Holocaust denial starts. This is how more people, end up dead. So, before you 'pick a side', do your research. Know what that phrase you're chanting at protest actually means. (some of them mean kill all Jews) And know this; what is happening in Rafah and Gaza is wrong. What is happening around the world is wrong. But by only increasing the hate? You're making it worse. So, please try to voice your concerns and be open about your thoughts, without spreading more hate! Anti-Semitism is already a huge problem in the US. We don't need to be making it worse.
And for the people calling for the dissolution of Israel? Where tf are all those people gonna go? Cause you've made it clear you don't want them, so for many citizens, you'd be creating another massive Human Rights issue.
For the people calling Zionists Nazis? What the ACTUAL FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU? I'm sorry, yes, terrible things are happening. But that does NOT, AND WILL NEVER give you the right to call them Nazis. Six million people. No. Just no. That's near as bad as denying the Holocaust happened.
**YOU MAY NOT LIKE ISRAEL, YOU MAY OPENOY DISAGREE AND PROTEST THEM. BUT THAT DOES NOT GIVE YOU THE RIGHT TI DISGRACE THE DEATHS OF SIX MILLION PEOPLE BY CALLING THEIR DESCENDANTS NAZIS.**
And even if you're taking this from a strategic standpoint, the Israeli army is not using tactics and methods the the Nazis did. They're completely different. So please, I beg of you, think about what you're posting. Don't call people Nazis if they aren't fucking Neo Nazis.
I hope you actually read this. I hope you read the article I sent from annefrankhouse.org. And please, think about what I've said.
Sincerely,
-a concerned Bleh-345.
you are right. no one should be called neo nazis if they aren't nazis. i apologize for the harm i've caused by spreading this narrative around. thank you for taking the time and writing this out. i haven't outright called the jewish people nazis but i will look into my blog and delete any reblogs that even feel like an anti-semitic post. it isn't activism by ignoring the harm caused by the holocaust while advocating for the palestinian people. it's ignorant, inconsiderate, and dumb, to put it bluntly. i am so very sorry for any negative feelings i've caused by my own negligence. (sorry if this seems half-assed, i hope it doesn't come off that way. i am so down to have a further conversation with you though if you'd like.)
