I love how that person who was like "oh ew a Zionist" also has reblogged posts about not being antisemitic and buying into antisemitic conspiracies while ALSO like.
Reblogging posts about how Israel is a uniquely evil "colonial scar" and how Israel is "murdering children" and like. Literally straight up antisemtic shit.
Leveling criticism at Israel that positions it as a unique evil among all other countries and doing literal blood libel (IE, Israel murders Palestiaian babies in a way no other nation kills children) is FUCKING ANTISEMITIC. Israel is JUST A COUNTRY. It is JUST another nation, doing the shitty stuff that other nations do. And if you find yourself railing against Israel EXTRA hard right now, or ever, in ways that you do NOT rail against other shitty countries that do shitty things (and, I can't believe I have to say this, if you find yourself saying that the kidnap, rape, torture, and murder of any civilian ever is justified because "uwu this radical extremist group is freedom fighters"!) then you're a fucking antisemitic, racist bigot.
Like. It blows me away how so many people don't seem to see that Israel, the Jewish state (whether you agree with how it is run or not, whether you agree with how it came to be or not) gets SO MUCH MORE SHIT than other comparable shitty countries... Come on.
Because the alternative is that you DO see it. That you DO agree with all of those things that are STEEPED in age-old antisemitic conspiracy. And you agree.

If this is true (and, unfortunately, it looks like it is), it means the world has witnessed another crime of Putin and his regime.
I wish Alexey would live to see Putin in the international criminal court...

its very sad how the 8th of march is not being taken seriously in russia. maybe in other countries too but im not gonna speak on that. its a "holiday" of "femininity, flowers and spring". you give your mom and grandma yellow mimosa flowers, read them a poem and celebrate what was mentioned above. i dont think most russians who celebrate it even know where the "holiday" came from or what it actually means.
have a nice day;3
that's so stupid. I mean I don't hate flowers or anything, and I think that it's a nice gesture if your boss or your boyfriend or your son gives you flowers. the problem is that they don't care to change anything for women in politics. Like in Russia, where 2017 there was a law that decriminalised many forms of domestic abuse:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
and now look at what the Russian government answered:
Tumblr media
they have literally an MRA government. but from the Russian women I know, most of them are extremely independent and choose to not have kids, which is why the birth rate keeps dropping lol
Tumblr media
(on this sign, it says: "instead of flowers - respect")
I don't speak too much on this blog about my support for Ukraine and my disdain for Putin, but I just want to reiterate that the right-wing anti-democratic warmongering dictatorship in Russia is probably one of the worst for women in the entirety of Europe. I hope the birth rate in Russia keeps dropping to zero, until there is no one Putin can recruit into his stupid war anymore lol

hero of our time.

ALEXEI NAVALNY
By now, many will have heard the devastating, unbelievable news of Alexei Navalny's reported death in a Russian prison. Navalny's wife, Yulia Navalnaya, says that she awaits confirmation of these claims.
If this news is confirmed then several things are necessary:
1)- Vladimir Putin bears sole responsibility for Navalny's presumed death
2)- The presumed death of Alexei Navalny is premeditated murder, following on from the confirmed murder attempt in August 2020
3)- In response, Russia must never be welcomed back into the international circle until Putin is removed from power
4)- Putin's international arrest warrant must be extended to include systematic assassination of Russian dissidents
5)- All of the Russians involved in this presumed crime must be sanctioned and blocked from entering as many countries as possible
6)- The international community must launch a comprehensive investigation into the deaths of all Russian politicians and other dissidents going back to 1998 and present their findings to the International Criminal Court
7)- The international community must demand medical records to substantiate Russia's "investigation" into Navalny's presumed death
8)- The international community must continue to investigate and expose the domestic crimes of Putin's regime, including the domestic terror attack of August 2020, when Putin tried to murder Navalny with the banned chemical agent Novichok
9)- Putin must be designated as an international terrorist
If this news is confirmed, nobody can doubt that the Russian regime has a state program of assassination used against its own citizens. Each and every one of these murders is a crime against humanity. Putin must never be allowed to rest again. He must face maximum pressure from all quarters and renewed investigations into the previous murders of Russian dissidents.
I give sincere condolences to Navalny's wife, Yulia Navalnaya, his children, Daria and Zahar, his parents, friends, and his loyal supporters who have continued his work during his unjustified imprisonment.
It is Russians like Navalny who have spoken out against Russia's slide into tyranny, terrorism, and moral disgrace. Putin is the worst stain on Russian history since Stalin. He will get the punishment that is coming to him for this and for his many other crimes, including his ongoing crimes against Ukraine.
Please share this post in support and memory of Alexei Anatolyevich Navalny, the bravest Russian of the last decade.

Alexei Anatolyevich Navalny (4 June 1976 – 16 February 2024)
Mr Navalny was a Russian opposition leader, lawyer, anti-corruption activist, and political prisoner.
He organised anti-government demonstrations and ran for office to advocate reforms against corruption in Russia and against Dictator Vladimir Putin and his government.
Mr Navalny was founder of the Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK). He was recognised by Amnesty International as a prisoner of conscience, and was awarded the Sakharov Prize for his work on human rights.
Through his social media channels, Mr Navalny and his team published material about corruption in Russia, organised political demonstrations and promoted his campaigns. In a 2011 radio interview, he described Russia's ruling party, United Russia, as a "party of crooks and thieves", which became a popular epithet.
Mr Navalny and the FBK have published investigations detailing alleged corruption by high-ranking Russian officials and their associates. He twice received a suspended sentence for embezzlement, in 2013 and 2014. Both criminal cases were widely considered politically motivated and intended to bar him from running in future elections. He ran in the 2013 Moscow mayoral election and came in second with 27% of the vote but was barred from running in the 2018 presidential election.
In August 2020, Mr Navalny was hospitalised in serious condition after being poisoned with a Novichok nerve agent. He was medically evacuated to Berlin and discharged a month later. He accused Putin of being responsible for his poisoning, and an investigation implicated agents from the Federal Security Service.
In January 2021, Mr Navalny returned to Russia and was immediately detained on accusations of violating parole conditions while he was hospitalised in Germany. Following his arrest, mass protests were held across Russia. In February 2021, his suspended sentence was replaced with a prison sentence of over 2+1⁄2 years' detention, and his organisations were later designated as extremist and liquidated.
In March 2022, Mr Navalny was sentenced to an additional nine years in prison after being found guilty of embezzlement and contempt of court in a new trial described as a sham by Amnesty International; his appeal was rejected and in June, he was transferred to a high-security prison.
In August 2023, Mr Navalny was sentenced to an additional 19 years in prison on extremism charges.
In December 2023, Navalny went missing from prison for almost three weeks. He re-emerged in an Arctic Circle corrective colony in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
On 16 February 2024, the Russian prison service reported that Mr Navalny had died at the age of 47. His death sparked protests, both in Russia and in various other countries. Accusations against the Russian authorities in connection with his death have been made by many Western governments and international organisations.
Rest in Power !

A wannabee Dictator, brightly endorsing another murderous Dictator - who has invaded neighbouring nations, slaughtering their men, women and children!!!
Yet great swathes of US citizens support this wholeheartedly. If this generation had lived in the 1930s & 40s, Adolf Hitler would have visited USA to great parades of love and joy.
The plot has officially been lost.

Alexei Navalny has died. If you're not familiar with the man, you should take the time to become so. He was commitment and bravery personified and he deserves to be remembered.
I know this was expected; there was no way a murderous POS like Putin would allow him to live. But it's still devastating. He was one of the few people I truly admired. Our world has so few people who are true heroes, and now it feels a little darker (as if it isn't dark enough) knowing he is gone.
To the people of Russia, my heart goes out to you. It seems there are so many good people who are living under the tyranny of monsters. People forget that PEOPLE in a nation are not their corrupt, evil leaders.
This truly breaks my heart. My faith in this world ever becoming a better place diminishes daily.
May he rest in peace. 😢

Another day, another Russian war crime. This time Putin killed a two-month old baby and injured his mother.
The baby's body was pulled out of the rubble of the three-storey building in the village of Zolochiv, said Kharkiv regional governor Oleh Synehubov. Two other women were hurt when Russia fired two S-300 missiles, he said, hitting the hotel and nearby buildings. Attacks on the Kharkiv region have intensified since the end of 2023. Zolochiv is only 20km (12 miles) from the Russian border and too close for Ukraine's air defences to offer sufficient cover. The S-300s that hit the hotel in the early hours of Tuesday were originally produced as surface-to-air missiles for Russia's air defences, but they have been adapted to hit Ukrainian targets on the ground. They are seen as cheaper than more accurate cruise missiles.
So Russia is running low on cruise missiles and is forced to substitute S-300s which were originally meant to his targets in the air.
Putin may be low on cruise missiles but one of his top US cheerleaders is in Moscow to pay homage to him.
Tucker Carlson reminds me of those US pro-Hitler commentators who would use their radio shows in the 1930s to extol the virtues of fascism.
Tucker is supposed to interview Putin but he isn't waiting for the interview to spread lies about the US news media. CNN's Abby Phillip does an effortless debunking of Tucker Carlson's Kremlin bullshit and then speaks with Russia specialist Julia Ioffe.
youtube
There's an entire ecosystem of far right mendacity which includes Putin, sex offender Donald Trump, Tucker Carlson, Speaker "MAGA Mike" Johnson, and various Congressional toadies like Marjorie Traitor Greene. They are united in their hatred of democracy and will tell any lie to damage it.
