I like the subtle world building implications in the differences between the usher foundation and the magnus institute. if the usher foundation and the magnus institute were meant to be direct parallels to each other, then the usher foundation would have been established in like the 1870s in boston or nyc, but no, it's in dc and was founded no earlier that 1955, and that gives me less "old respectable academia" vibes and more "insane reagan era project comissioned to weaponize the supernatural in the cold war that didn't work but was never officially shut down."

i still think the conversation matt, foggy and reyes have in 2.06 is incredibly important for foggy's character development/revealing more of foggy's character. foggy wanted absolutely nothing to do with defending frank and you can tell he was secretly hoping frank would tell them to fuck off based on his reaction when frank chose them to be his lawyers but foggy did not even flinch to back up matt when he decided to pick an argument with reyes, something that he'd usually shy away from/mat matt handle all together. i think it shows that despite everything, he wants the same kind of peace in his environment as matt and at his core he will stand up to bullies should he ever need to; he is not afraid to do it and he will not back down. at their core, matt and foggy are terrifyingly similar just in different ways.

there's this tiktok video where it shows aventurine sounding so surprised that he shrunk when going to that miniature city and someone commented that it sounds like he experienced something new like a little kid .... and i just ripped my hair off 😞😞😞 now imagine you as his s/o letting him experience that he wasnt able to like dancing in the rain, assembling simple furnitures, or even him assisting you bake and letting him frost the cupcakes . there and then you can actually see his childlike wonder and sense of relief bcos he's able to have fun and be free with his loved ones :(((

just imagine all the mundane domestic activities you could do with aventurine, ones that you wouldnt bat an eye at or initially think much of, only to turn to him and see his eyes light up and marvel at the intricacies entailed in baking, becoming immersed in the storyline of various movies/series, marvelling at the sensation of rain against your warmed skins as you laugh and dance and share soft kisses under the rain, displaying muted frustration when certain parts of the furniture dont align only to feel a sense of satisfaction once fully assembled, with him turning to you with sheer excitement at your joint effort...

god you would be so many of his firsts and grow to develop a newfound appreciation for the mundane activities you share with him in moments like these...

unironically i think by 2099 the social Norms vis-à-vis texting have changed to such a point that, like. miguel, for example, tends to specifically type whatever the hell he is thinking and/or trying to say exactly as it is in his brain when he thinks it, and he types/replies insanely fast. one of those ppl who doesn't need to look down at the keyboard no matter what they're typing on. kinda guy who types "lemme check" if u ask what time it is instead of just looking right at the clock first

MJ's breath tickles his ears. He squirms and snakes a hand around her waist. She leans her head on his shoulder as he categorizes his photos.

"You have an awful lot of pictures of me, Pete," she says as he drags and drops another photo of MJ—this time one of their personal photoshoots, a black and white shot of her in the bathtub—into a folder marked MJ then another folder titled FAVORITES.

Peter feels her smile. Drag, drop and repeat. "I'm a photographer," is his way of explanation.

"I don't even think my craziest fans have"—she pauses to read the number—"11,092 pics of me."

Drag, drop, repeat. Peter scoffs. "Well, I'm your number one fan and I have husband privileges."

"Half of your favorites folder is just me, you dork." MJ laughs. "I should catch up to you. Can I do a photoshoot with you?"

He twists so he's facing her. "I can think of much better ways to use my camera than pointing it at me."

"Peter!" she gasps dramatically, but her eyes are bright. "I take it the set would be the bedroom?"

He grins, shoving his laptop back onto the coffee table. Peter tugs her closer until she's on his lap. He leans up to press his lips to her, not kissing, not quite. "Doesn't have to be."

Catching up on the natsuyuu dub finally and honestly the most jarring thing is just how american everyone sounds. which yes I know that's obvious its an american dub but I'm so used to it being Not American that it makes the american accents sound 10x stronger 

the exception to this is nyanko sensei and natori, who both sound like americans trying to sound like posh british people (which works better than you would expect. somehow)
