Rolycoly hybrids always end up with some unusual proportions... Mono can hop and walk on his hind legs, but it can be a bit difficult due to his nubby limbs. He also sometimes miscalculates how much he needs to move over due to a singular eye. He sometimes shows off his back of 'coal' because he thinks it looks like a little jacket! He's somewhat like a little duckling to Buffy, following her around and trying to copy what she does. Pepper waddles on all fours, but can roll up into a little ball of rock and roll around like a Sandshrew! She likes to try and warm up eggs like Charcoal does.

Once again, never let Charcoal name the babies, as he named Mono because. Mono eye. It's at least... a LITTLE more clever...? XD

Honestly I am bad at self reflection when it comes to my own writing. I am a perfectionist, I just try to get it out there without hating it, and it can be a painful process sometimes. When I do think it's working, usually it's to do with how I translate a scene I imagine in my head. I think I can do a good job at leading the 'eye' of the reader where I want it to go, a bit like a camera for a movie. Or at least that's my goal!

As for my oldest OC. Ta-da! You're looking at him. Before I wrote Raum I played in a couple of those rp circles where they hand you a character in a story to play with, and after that, I wrote couple of canons! It's been ten years with Raum now since then. My little old man.

Random Yet Completely Useless Headcanon I Have | accepting but slow RAPID FIRE

The concept of family initially took him quite a while to understand. Blood relations were easy; genes had to be passed on in some way, of course, and sometimes one had siblings, and quite a large family where everyone had many siblings, all related to one another. Family was different. The took reading books that were intended for children, explaining the concept in full in ways that went beyond DNA and even words.

Technically speaking, he does not need caffeine. No SOLDIERs do. There is a burst of chemicals initially with a caffeinated beverage, but it's processed too quickly to be of much use mere moments later. It's the ritual of coffee or tea, the flavor, the sensations, that he enjoys... as long as the office coffee is made relatively correctly.

His thoughts on chocolate confections requires a certain level of friendship/familiarity to unlock. Oh, he's polite enough about things at all times, and he tends to keep the very fact that he greatly enjoys chocolate to himself... but he does have Chocolate Opinions. There might be several rants waiting to spill forth about cocoa percentages and quality and very strong opinions about the very phrase "white chocolate"... but nevermind, nevermind.

His tongue has never found a food that he would consider too spicy to eat, though it would appear that there are indeed limits to what a SOLDIER's stomach can process. That is definitely not a subject he'll discuss, but he does take great joy in the ordering of food which requires some sort of legal signature to acquire.

If he'd ever had the desire or ability to pursue music, he'd likely try a bit of everything for the sheer experience of it, but wind up playing piano. Or, rather, wind up enjoying playing piano. Just not for an audience.

He can hot-wire Shinra vehicles. He's been very careful about making sure no one's watched him demonstrate this skill, but it's easier than it sounds given how the same security flaw is present in damn near all of them.

Experience/how long (months/years?): i've been making up stories and embodying characters who aren't me basically my entire life. i honestly don't know who i'd be without fun pretendy times. in terms of online rp, i've been goin' since i was 13, so almost 20 years at this point. i've been on tumblr since 2011, and before that, i've used forums, chatboxes, online messengers, deviantART notes, i've done it all!

Best experience: a forum rp based on the movie " 9 " by shane acker. met some truly incredible people through that experience ( including my gf with whom i had a beautiful baby! ) and just overall had a great time weaving this big intricate plot together that spanned many months. i miss that level of cooperative plotting and threading, it was really fun and engaging.

RP pet peeves/dealbreakers: admittedly i very rarely unfollow / break a mutual with someone, so my threshold of tolerance is fairly high. i understand everyone has their bad days and that sometimes the only place a person can blow off steam or unwind is in the rpc. that said, i steer clear of people that display a consistent level of callousness, unkindness, or overall rude behavior ooc. i don't care how good a person's writing is, rp is a social hobby and if a person is gonna treat fellow players like shit all the time, nobody owes them interactions. no ooc / ic divide is also a big deal breaker.

Muse preference (fluff, angst or smut?): i find i really enjoy charged interactions, either moments of action or elevated emotion. i love seeing what happens when two muses just talk and share some really interesting chemistry that naturally progresses the plot. of course i love fluff and angst and all, but those kinds of things work best when i'm really invested in the muses earning that moment of sweetness after a lot of struggle or fighting their way through a hard time together. i love smut in theory, but i'm mega shy about writing it with new people. i think the stuff i enjoy in an erotic context is just so deeply personal, it's hard to share casually unless i really trust the other mun and gel with their writing style.

Plots or memes: for sure memes, i'm horrible at plotting out ideas unless i'm super familiar with the other person and their muse. i love brainstorming ideas and seeing where those vibes go, rather than planning out details of what's gonna happen.

Long or short replies: somewhere in - between i'd say. just depends on the rhythm of the scene and what best keeps things moving.

Best time to write: usually when i'm caffeinated and have had a nap. fully restored and ready to shift into Focus Mode babey.

Are you like your muse: while i can def relate to his struggles with intense anxiety and all the incredibly inconvenient ways that it manifests, i'm not a lot like pepp. which has proven to be a fun writing challenge, tbh! i enjoy trying to get into the heads of characters with their own set of morals and beliefs separate of my own, try to understand why they think and act like they do.

what would you like to improve on as a writer? / what do you enjoy the most about creating ocs?

EVERYTHING? is it a good answer? probably not. i guess, a big concern for me is the tone. mostly i think my writing comes across a bit over descriptive and robotic. i don't tend to write a lot of inner emotion, or thoughts, which is holdover from how i spent a lot of time writing scripts, and using that 'show, don't tell' method. i worry it leaves everything a bit cold in the end.

As for creating, I enjoy finding the unique ways that they suffer. I am not joking. I feel like every little guy should have a little problem that he carries around in a little bag on a stick over his shoulder. And when something bad happens he grabs his head and goes NO!! NOT THE PROBLEM™!! I also like giving them something they're obsessed with to balance it out. so when they see it they're like YESS. HAHAHA! YES! It's always either, it's so over or we're so back with me i guess!

||On a scale of 1-10? Probably a good 8.5, because I get anxious talking to new people. And sometimes if a person is very serious like "[Name] Can I ask you something?" that's when I buckle my seatbelt cause it can be a question that'll test our friendship or it's just nothing. Again! I'm not sure exactly why I am like this, but I tend to like jump first thought of "I hope they don't find me annoying/boring". LOL.

Compared to how scared they should be of me? I'm like...About as harmless as a hamster. I'm pretty chill person so even if we don't chat about like....6 months to years even, I still greet you as if you never disappeared. Cause life happens! :DDD I don't find myself intimidating at all but people might say otherwise!
