Scar DEMANDS Mumbo snuggles when regressed, even when Mumbo istoo little to recipricate. Grian has lots of photos of 5 year old Scar cuddling babyspace Mumbo

I can imagine Mumbo not really being sure what's going on but enjoying the attention. And even if Mumbo isn't hugging back, Scar loves that he can just sit with him and cuddle him as much as he wants.

Mumbo regresses to baby space most of the time, and isn't fussy. He like to be fed bottles while Grian crochettes, or babble whilst Scar is feeding the animals.

He's easy to keep content. The mesmerizing motions of Grian's crocheting easily put Mumbo in that space between falling asleep and awake, and the way Scar replies to his babbling like he's saying real words makes him feel very proud of himself.

The Hermits have been caught off guard many times by how snarky little Mumbo can be.

Iskall and Mumbo spent a lot of time in the rooftop pool at Pacific, with one or both of them regressed for most of it.

Mumbo, a vampire, has yet to find a pacifier that can survive his fangs.

Little Grian thinks Mumbo is the greatest ever, regardless of whether Mumbo's big or small. Absolutely follows him around if it's interesting enough, if it's boring he tries to get Mumbo to do something more interesting. He's just endlessly delighted and fascinated by him for some reason. Little Mumbo is reluctant to be around other people, but Grian likes bringing him with and just holding his hand the whole time. And naturally, in games of pretend, he puts Mumbo in charge.

Mumbo's never really sure to make of Grian's fascination with him. He's certainly flattered, but often struggles to understand why Grian would like him so much. In any case, it's very endearing so see Grian follow him around like a duckling.

Mumbo often struggles to let himself regress fully because he feels like there's a set of rules or standards he's supposed to meet in order to regress "right." This makes regressing feel like it takes tons of extra work.

Mumbo's RSD often prevents him from asking for help when regressed.

Mumbo doesn't like standin when little, he feels too wobbly on his feet (using this projection to complain about how wobbly i am when little. i am already wobbly as is i don't need it amplified thanks !!)

I'd imagine with Mumbo's height, being wobbly can be extra scary.

Mumbo likes to follow people around and ramble to them about redstone while regressed.

if you get mumbo to bounce in anyway when regressed, even just in his arms, he'll immediately calm down. it's very helpful, but unfortunately, it isn't very effective when he does it on his own

Aw, it sounds a little like trying to pet your own hair. Never works as well as when someone else does it.

Just a little headcanon I thought of: Mumbo is the sweetest little guy when he is regressed but will also tend to try to do things on his own before calling another hermit for help

I'm taking the "every season" comment to mean he's a separate being from Zedaph, but if you'd like headcanons where Worm Man and Zedaph are the same person, feel free to let me know and I'll write some :)

-Ever since he learned about age regression, Worm Man knew he wanted to take care of regressors. It just suits him so well as a hero! Protecting them, encouraging them, helping them, it's all things he strives to do for people! So when he learned Mumbo regresses, he immediately offered his care. It took a while for Mumbo to accept, but they're both glad he did.

-Worm Man is a very fun carer. He always has fun ideas for games to play, and makes cleaning up after seem like part of the fun.

-Mumbo thinks Worm Man is the coolest, most heroic person in the world. I mean, come on. He saves stuffies from danger (kidnapping by Grian), he can always find Mumbo's lost fidget toys, and he can banish any monster that tries to come out of the closet or from under the bed. How cool is that?

-Worm Man may not be as well-versed in redstone as his Hermit counterpart Zedaph, but he still knows enough to keep up with Mumbo's rambles. Sometimes Mumbo worries about people finding his rambles annoying, but Worm Man always chimes in to keep him going.

-They actually don't play superheroes all that often. Mumbo isn't especially interested in pretend play and Worm Man doesn't mind taking a break from his hero duties.

-While Worm Man can be very responsible, he's also, well, Worm Man. This has resulted in other Hermits needing to step in from time to time because of situations like Worm Man and Mumbo getting the redstone equivalent of a sugar rush from taste-testing potion ingredients.

-It actually took a little while for them to figure out the communication part. Mumbo has never been very good at asking for things, and Worm Man has never been very good at guessing. It took Worm Man sitting Mumbo down and asking very explicitly to be told what he needs for them to get on track. But now they're rapidly improving by the day. Mumbo is getting used to asking for things, and Worm Man is getting good at recognizing Mumbo's needs before he asks.

Mumbo cries a lot while regressed. Not necessarily because he's upset, but as a response to any strong emotion.
