When they are getting ready for bed + what they are like while sleeping:

-GN reader

-Characters in this one are: Rengoku Kyojuro, Giyu Tomioka, Sanmei Shinazugawa, Obanai Iguro, Tengen Uzui/his wives, Shinobu Kocho, Mitsuri Kanjiro, Muichiro Tokito, Gyomei Himejima

-Obanai’s backstory/scars are in Obanai’s part

Rengoku Kyojuro:

-First of all, he makes sure to fluff up all the pillows before you two go to sleep. The man loves having his pillows fluffed up.

-He makes sure that you have as many plushies and blankets as you want. If you wish for him to make some sort of nest with blankets, pillows and plushies, he will gladly do so.

-Sometimes he forgets to fully open his own hair before sleeping. Ever since a knot formed that had him whining to you, you always made sure that he would open it. Please remind this man every night or he will legit forget.

-His sleeping clothes are pyjamas with small flames on them that Tengen had once given him for his birthday. The shirt is a bit small tho so you better prepare to see a bit of his strong chest.

-He will spoon you or hold you to his chest while you both sleep.

-And boy oh boy, once has his arms around you, there is no escape.

-Like, oh sorry, you were gonna get a glass of water? Prepare to not get away until he wakes up.

-Lots of body heat. Like, his body is really warm and it brings comfort in winter. But it’s all over once summer comes. Then you both just end up all sweaty.

-When he wakes up the next morning and you are prepared to give him an earful of holding you so tight, he looks at you all sleepy and with messy hair and oh lord, the man has no business looking so adorable when he wakes up.

Giyu Tomioka:

-Just like Rengoku, he sometimes forgets to open his hair before sleeping. Except that he doesn’t care too much.

-But you do. So you better annoy him until he  finally opens his hair. He even lets you brush it before bed and it makes him almost fall asleep because you are so gentle and it soothes him a lot.

-Giyu always washes his face before sleeping and one time he jokingly asks him if he wants a bit of your face cream for the night.

-You are not prepared for this man to say yes and close his eyes as he expects you to rub the cream on his face. He looks so calm and peacefully and you are screaming on the inside because how can a man be this cute?!

-As for what he is like when he sleeps, when you first sleep together, you don’t notice it.

-But then one day he falls asleep and you heard this man mumble something you didn’t understand. And then he starts drooling.

-Yes, drooling. It would normally probably disgust you but he is so adorable and you have to hold back a squeak.

-You are definitely the big spoon and he is your personal cuddly fridge.

-Yes, you read that right. Your personal fridge. You have no idea why or how, but his skin is always cool. Sometimes you wonder if it should worry you, but he always shrugs it off, so you figure that he really is okay.

-You secretly go to Shinobu tho to make sure that it really was normal for him.

Sanmei Shinazugawa:

-This man is SOFT.

-Like, everyone always sees his scary side but then he comes into the bedroom and he walks over to kiss you and say that he hopes your day was amazing.

-He then immediately walked to where he has a large terrarium afterward to feed his japanese rhinoceros beetles.

-At first you were scared to sleep in that room because the beetles weren’t that small in their terrarium. Which he had noticed, so he had slowly helped you to get more comfortable around them until you even held one at one point. He had even got anew one and let you name it.

-After he did that, he gets ready for bed. Which is just him sleeping with fresh pants and without a shirt. He will always smirk all smug and teasingly when he catches you staring at his chest.

-“Like what you see, sweetheart?” Is all he says.

-And you have a hard time not turning into a flustered mess every time it happens because his voice is always a bit husky and he always says it right into your ear.

-Once you two are sleeping, with his arms wrapped around you, you soon wake up again.

-This man talks in his sleep. And he kicks.

-One time you tied his legs up before you two slept and he still kicked you in his sleep. Slowly you got used to it tho.

-His sleep talking was never that bad.

-Until one, where you fell asleep after a long day. This man screamed in his sleep and it woke you up.

-You immediately wake him up and give him an earful.

-That was until you saw that he looked a bit upset. So you sigh, give him a kiss and then settle down to sleep again. This talk could wait until the morning.

Obanai Iguro:

-This man hesitated when he first sleeps in a room with you because of the fact that he sleeps without his mask. You have to assure him that it really is okay for you to see his scars and you have to promise him that you will not freak out.

-What makes you hesitate however is when he insists that Kaburamaru sleeps in bed with you two.

-Like, did you just mishear him?

-You ask him and he repeats what he said.

-You refuse that and when you are about to sleep in the living room. But he holds you hand and says that he can let his snake sleep on a pillow instead. Which you agree on as long as the snake doesn’t sleep too close.

-When you two settle down to sleep, he always spoons you with his chest pressed to your back.

-He talks in his sleep, which you do not mind at all.

-But like with Sanemi, one night you wake up to him screaming. You sigh all annoyed  and turn your head to him, ready to wake him up.

-But he is already awake and there are tears running down his face and it breaks your heart as he says your name in a shaky voice.

-You are quick to turn around and pull him close to his chest, asking him what happened. You listen closely as he explains that it had been a nightmare about his past and the scars on his mouth hurt a little bit.

-You comforted him a lot and held him until he calmed down and fell back asleep.

-When he has bad days, you are always the big spoon.

Tengen Uzui and his wives:

-This man is worse than any woman when it comes to prepare to sleep.

-While you and his wives make the bed as comfortable as possible, he puts on different face masks and skin care products. He then brushes his hair and puts many different things in it.

-By the time he is actually done for bed, two hours have passed and his wives and you are usually already asleep, cuddled up to each other while snoring softly.

-It always makes him smile and ask himself just how he got so lucky.

-He manhandles you all until he lays underneath all of you.

-What does he wear while sleeping you ask?

-The answer is underwear only!

-He is mostly sleeping normally. Or so you think. Because all of you wake up in different sleeping positions because you all move around a lot in your sleep.

Shinobu Kocho:

-The first thing she does when getting ready for bed is remove her make up, which is very important to her.

-Then she uses many diffrent skin care products.

-She will always brush her hair before sleeping and put her butterfly hairclip on her bedside table.

-Her blanket is huge and has a butterfly wing print over it, which you find really cute.

-When you say out loud how cute it is, she becomes a bit of a flustered mess. But she tries to keep calm.

-"You okay there, my love?" You ask, which makes her nod, tho her cheeks are a bright red colour.

-When she and you settle down to sleep, she is always the big spoon.

-"Goodnight, my little butterfly."

-While she is sleeping, she is all soft breaths, her expression very relaxed.

Mitsuri Kanroji:

-She uses a lot of skincare products before bed and she forces you to do the same.

-But when you accidently break one of the producst one time, she always does it for you, which you are not complaining about.

-She let's you open her braids after a long day, as she sleeps with open hair only.

-She always showers before bed, so she will sleep with wet hair. You are always scared she will catch a cold that way, but so far it has always been okay.

-She and you switch being the big and the little spoon.

-She insists on being the big spoon when you had a bad day and you are always the big spoon when she had a bad day.

-"Goodnight, my little mochi."

-While sleeping, she will not let you go. And since she is really strong, you will not be able to get up untill she wakes up.

Muichiro Tokito:

-He will insist you brush his hair and put it into a long braid before going to bed.

-He will also bruhs you hair and give you a kiss on your forhead then.

-His bed is full of pillows, blankets and plushies. His blankets have paper planes printed on them.

-He will make you fluff up every pillow he has on his bed, which are a lot.

-He always sleeps with his head on your chest, wanting to hear your heartbeat as it always helps him fall asleep.

-"Goodnight, my angel."

-He moves a lot in his sleep and sometimes he wakes up cuddled up to you with two plushies in his arms.

-He snores in his sleep, but it's really soft and not loud at all. You will only hear it if you listen very closely.

Gyomei Himejima:

-Before going to bed, he carefully put all his beads into a box so he never loses them and finds them easily in the morning.

-He insists on saying goodnight to Genya before sleeping and so do you. He accidently said "Goodnight, dad." to Gyomei once, and you never let him live that down.

-You and him feed all the cats you have in your home and also make sure they have fresh water.

-He always makes sure you are cuddling him when you two settle down to sleep. He only wishes to be clsoe to you while sleeping.

-He gives you a gentle kiss to your forehead as he cuddles you close.

-"Goodnight, my precious treasure."

-He has nightmares more often than not about the day he had lost so many children to a demon. When that happens, you nuzzle his chest and stroke his back until he is calm again. You also say reassuring words.

-He cries in his sleep, so you have to change the pillowcases every morning.

-He snores. And it is not a quiet snore, it's a loud snore.

May I have one where Giyuu saves a 4 year old girl from a demon and thus decides to adopt her? The girl is very quiet, like Tomioka quiet but also very friendly and curious. She hates loud noises due to coming from an abusive home and is often found on Giyuu? Headcanons please

demon slayer hcs: giyuu's adopted daughter

characters: fem!reader x giyuu, the hashira

HOW THEY MEET

giyuu arrives at the location for his mission

it was reported that a lower class family had been turned into demons and were recking havoc on the small town they lived in

at nightfall giyuu approaches the home of the demon family and is greeted by the father and mother

as well as a human child

the two demon parents toy with the child

pushing her to the ground

pulling her hair

but when the father raises a clawed hand to her

giyuu takes the opportunity

before the strike can land on the childs face

the demons heads have already hit the ground

the child stares at the severed heads with a blank look

immediately giyuu is kneeling in front of her to block the line of sight

and he is assessing the damage done to her and asking

"do you have other family?"

the girl stays silent but shakes her head

he stands abruptly causing the child to flinch and his eyes soften

by now the sun has begun to rise and the bodies of the demons are gone

giyuu walks into the house to find anything of necessity for the child

and he is disgusted to see that even though the family had no obvious lack of money

the child was provided NOTHING of importance

feeling a small hand latch onto his haori he looks down

and with a sigh giyuu is carefully picking her up and beginning the walk back his estate

THEIR RELATIONSHIP

several months after the incident a meeting is called with the hashira

before leaving his estate Giyuu receives a letter

taking it from his crow and quickly reading it Giyuu walks to the backyard

sitting there amongst the flowers is the young girl he saved

he walks to her and reaches out a hand to help her up

she takes it, stands, and then motions for him to lean down

he does

and then she plops a flower crown on the top of his head

its messy and its more stems and leaves then flowers but giyuu allows it

together they leave the estate and begin the travel to the butterfly mansion for the meeting

standing outside of the mansion the child digs her heels into the ground due to her nervousness stopping giyuu in his tracks

he kneels to her height taking the makeshift crown from his head and placing it on hers

and then reaches out a hand

she takes it and then he opens the door to the mansion

MEETING THE OTHER SLAYERS

as the door opens and they step into the room hand in hand all heads turn to them

a small women with purple hair and a teasing smile is the first to speak, "you're late Tomioka"

before the other slayers can add to her comment

a man with a gentle voice speaks "he is late because I had a last minute request for him"

he turns to Giyuu

"is she here?"

the other slayers murmur their confusion

Giyuu just gently tugs the hand of the girl and pulls her from behind him with a "she is"

The man introduces himself as the leader of the demon slayer corps and then asks for her to be introduced to the other people in the room before giving a gentle smile and leaving

The slayers go around the room introducing themselves

Tengen, Mitsuri, and Obanai were nice enough

Muichiro was kind but reintroduced himself 3 times because he forgot what was happening

Sanemi was intimidating and angry

Shinobu was also very nice but the girl didn't like how she interacted with her adoptive parent so rudely

and Kyojuro was a bit too loud

soon enough the girl finds herself sitting in the lap of the love hashira having her hair braided while the rest of the hashira are poking fun at Giyuu

the girl sits there silently watching until Sanemi takes it a step too far

"the poor girl probably doesn't even like you! i sure fucking don't. she's probably miserable staying with y-"

"don't be mean to him!"

silence

its the first words she spoken since she walked through the door

running and latching onto Giyuu's leg she glares at Sanemi

"the only person I don't like is you!" before hiding her face in Giyuu's leg

no one says a word

until Tengen bursts out laughing lol

quickly Sanemi becomes the victim of teasing and Giyuu and the child are forgotten

Giyuu kneels down to her and puts a hand on her head

gives her a small smile quick enough so that no one else sees

picks her up and they head back home together

I wrote one about Obanai needing to take like vitamins or meds for his weak immune system earlier but like imagine he has a little tummy ache and feels sick and refuses to eat like anything and all he wants is cuddles but he doesn't let anyone touch him so they place him in the crib surrounded in stuffed animals and blankets but he keeps whining and when Muichiro goes in to check on him, he can hear obanai say something that sounds close to "bubba" so muichiro does what he can for his "baby brother". Cue Tengen and Rengoku coming in a little later to put the other two down for a nap and they see Muichiro sleeping in the crib holding a sleeping Obanai. The two woke up to everyone staring at them and Obanai squeals with a pink face and hides in his big brothers neck. Muichiro has a shit eating grin on his face knowing he's one of the babys faves

THE MIST HASHIRA'S TSUGUKO — platonic muichiro & reader !

synopsis. what is the mist hashira like with a tsuguko? warnings. slight spoilers for muichiro's backstory. kny-typical warnings (violence, death, etc.) notes. STRICTLY PLATONIC. demon slayer!reader. reader uses mist breathing. gn!reader. they/them used. fluff. 1.2k words. wrote this impulsively instead of studying :3

kyojuro ver.

in all honesty, muichiro never planned on taking on a tsuguko. he didn't care too much about finding a successor, and even if he did, there wasn't a single demon slayer in the corps who had what it took to be the next mist hashira. they were all too cowardly, too brash, too loud, or too timid. mist breathing was an art form, and the demon slayers were messy toddlers playing with finger paints. none of them caught his eye.

well. except for one.

he was walking in step with shinobu, on their way to a hashira when the sound of fighting interrupted his cloud-watching. he glanced away for a moment to locate the source of the sound, seeing a lithe figure hacking and slashing across a training dummy with strikes of—was that mist breathing?

this was immediately followed by pestering a thoroughly uninterested shinobu with endless questions—who is that demon slayer? have i met them before? how long have they been here?—until he inevitably forgot all about them. shinobu, however remembered.

she was tending to one of their injuries when she casually mentioned muichiro's sudden interest in their mist breathing.

“tokito seemed impressed with your skills, when he saw you. truthfully, there aren’t many mist breathing users in the corps as of late, which is why we weren’t able to find you a teacher. it seems you’ve been learning plenty on your own, however. who knows, maybe you might end up as his tsuguko!”

the words were an off-handed joke, but they took them seriously nonetheless. all of the demon slayers knew that the mist hashira didn't have or want a tsuguko, but [name] needed a teacher and well... they might as well try, even if it's in vain.

when muichiro got the application, he was puzzled. for starters, he had no memory of who this random demon slayer was, or why they wanted him to be their mentor. a quick refresher from mitsuri—who had been told the entire story over tea with shinobu, and was reading over his shoulder when he got the letter—and he learnt that they were not only a mist breathing user, but one of the most talented demon slayers in the corps.

it didn't take him long to come to his conclusion. most of the demon slayer corps may be useless, but who was he to deny one of the few talented demon slayers the chance to improve upon their skills?

his fellow hashira were surprised by his choice, but he just shrugged away their questions.

“if they're useless, i'll just give up on them. simple as that.”

training with muichiro is... intense. he has very high expectations of his student, which is one of the reasons few demon slayers even consider him as a mentor. they need to be agile enough to dodge a flurry of his attacks, quick enough to land a hit on him, and strong enough to cut through stone.

but to his surprise, they were quick to meet his expectations. in addition, their control over mist breathing was remarkably powerful, even if it paled in comparison to his own. most of their lessons turned from standard swordsmanship—of which they had already underwent plenty of training—to teaching them different techniques to master their skills.

the first time they trained together, he used wooden training swords. every instance after that, he insisted they used their own weapons instead.

“why would we bother with training swords? do you plan on beheading demons with these flimsy things?”

for the first few weeks, he continuously forgot that he even had a tsuguko. he wouldn't show up to their scheduled practices, leaving them waiting for hours, and were met with a blank stare when they finally tracked him down.

once they started training regularly though, they slowly began to cement themself in his memory. he would even make a point to jot down notes in a small journal to keep track of what he thought was important enough to remember about them.

although, much of what he deemed 'important' was rather trivial. some of his notes include: [name] is my tsugoku. they are allergic to [food]. their favourite colour is [colour]. they don't like it when i am late, even if they don't get angry at me. bring them a paper airplane the next time we meet.

how he treats them overall would differ depending on their age. if they were about the same age as him, or even younger, he would have a deep desire to protect them stirring in his gut. he can't quite narrow down the part of him that aches to keep them safe, but when he looks at them he sees a mirror of himself, young and scared and needing someone to shelter them from harm.

god forbid anyone try to give them a hard time for any reason. human or demon, that is his tsuguko and he'll be damned if he let anything happen to them.

on the opposite side of the spectrum, if they happened to be older than him... he would find it endlessly amusing. they try to pull the 'i'm literally older than you' card? well too bad, he's got the 'and yet you're the only one of us who isn't a hashira' card.

he would honestly treat them like an older sibling, if unconsciously. even if he's technically their mentor, he holds a great deal of respect towards them for their strength and bravery, and would look up to them a lot. definitely would try to impress them with his mist breathing.

no matter their age, he is very proud of them. when they go on their first solo mission after becoming his tsuguko and return victorious, he brags to anyone that will listen. someone try to talk about their own mission? he's cutting in with-

“but did you hear about [name]? they actually defeated a demon twice the strength of that one.”

but after muichiro regains his memories... oh boy.

i think they would be the first person he seeks out after he returns from the swordsmith village. he would make a beeline for their room, ignoring everyone else in his path. they're sitting on their bed and startle as he enters, but he just collapses on top of their sheets beside them. no amount of questioning earns them anything more than a mumble as a response. it's clear he's upset, but without knowing why, there is little they can do.

eventually they settle with cautiously pulling him into a hug, and can feel the tension leak out of his body as he melts into the embrace. no words are spoken, but it doesn't take long for him to start to cry.

he mumbles the entire story with his face buried in the front of their clothes, recounting the memories of his past that had returned to him mid-battle. he describes his brother, his parents, his home that is long gone.

even through his tears, they don't let him go, listening while tracing soothing circles across his back.

it's then that he realizes it: he might have lost everyone he loved, but that doesn't mean he doesn't still have a family, of sorts.

even if he never planned on taking on a tsuguko, muichiro is happy with the one he ended up with. and though he isn't the most conventional mentor, they are more than happy with him too.
