本日はDavid Arnoldから、イギリスより彼のコラボレーターでもあるMichael Priceをご紹介していきます。

Michael Price(マイケル・プライス)とは、イギリス出身の作曲家・アーティスト。英国サーレイ大学在学中に1990年PRS作曲コンテストで受賞。卒業後の20代前半はコンテンポラリーダンスのための楽曲提供をはじめ、ダンスやアート作品のための作曲や音楽ディレクターに。1996年に、映画音楽の大御所Michael Kamenに招かれ”Event Horizon”のオーケストレーションと打ち込みで参加。以降5年間にわたり、パートナーとして数々の作品に参加。 作曲家として活躍する一方で、ロードオブザリング、ラブアクチュアリー、ブリジットジョーンズなどの作品ではMusic Editorとしても活躍し、2001年にはMPSEゴールデンリールアワーズで受賞も。 2002年からは先述のDavid Arnoldとタッグを組んで、Sherlockをはじめ数々の作品に参加。

また作家として大活躍する一方で、エレクトロニカ・ピアノアーティストとして、2012年にソロ作を発表。ポストクラシカルの世界で期待のアーティストとしての評価も高く、オーケストレーションから、現代音楽、ミニマル、エレクトロニカまで、フィールドレコーディングまで、幅広いジャンルをクロスオーバーするスタイルは、ポストOlafur Arnandとの筆頭に。

本日ご紹介する曲は、彼の2017年のソロ作品「Diary」から、30日間、日にちごとに違うタイトルで奏でていてるなんとも素敵なコンセプトアルバムから、5日目の曲「Splintered Sun」を。機械的なEQではなく、弾く環境がそっと織りなす天然のリバーブが音にそっと寄り添う感じ。すごく好きです。

This year’s live-action version of Beauty and the Beast will be returning to the big screen for a one-week engagement in Los Angeles and New York, Dec. 1, Disney announced Monday.

Director Bill Condon’s remake of the 1991 animated Disney classic stars Emma Watson as Belle, Dan Stevens as the Beast, Luke Evans as Gaston, Kevin Kline as Belle’s father Maurice, and Josh Gad as LeFou. The Beast’s household staff is voiced by Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci, Audra McDonald, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Ian McKellen, and Emma Thompson.

Beauty and the Beast, which will play at the AMC Century City in L.A. and the AMC Empire 25 in New York City, was originally released March 17 and has earned $504 million at the domestic box office, making it, so far, 2017’s highest-grossing film.

In addition to delighting fans in both cities, the release is also part of an awards push for the movie. (Members of AMPAS, BAFTA, ACE, ADG, ASC, CAS, DGA, HFPA, MPEG, MPSE, PGA, WGA, CDG, and VES will be admitted with a guest to screenings at both theaters with valid membership card.)

Em uma ação coordenada pelo Ministério Público Federal em Sergipe (MPF/SE) e o Ministério Público do Estado de Sergipe (MPSE), nesta terça-feira (6), foram interditados três matadouros na região Centro-Sul do estado.

Segundo o MPF, em Itabaianinha, dois abatedouros privados que funcionavam clandestinamente foram interditados. Já em Tobias Barreto, o matadouro municipal está impedido de funcionar.

Irregularidades

De acordo com o MPF, a manutenção e operação dos matadouros interditados era precária. Os prédios interditados em Itabaianinha eram particulares e nenhum dos dois possuía licença ambiental. No abatedouro fechado no Povoado Jardim, os animais eram abatidos com uso choque elétrico para atordoamento e chunchos, prática considerada maus-tratos contra os animais.

Já o matadouro de Tobias Barreto é de propriedade da Prefeitura Municipal. O prédio estava em reformas e já havia recebido melhorias, mas ainda não tinha licença ambiental nem equipamentos básicos para o abate, como a pistola pneumática. No local, foram apreendidas duas marretas e um chuncho, usados no abate dos animais, que configura crime de maus tratos.

Outra irregularidade identificada pelo MP de Sergipe foi em relação aos trabalhadores contratados de forma terceirizada pela Prefeitura de Tobias Barreto para trabalhar no matadouro. De acordo com o Promotor da Comarca do município, Laelson Pontes Filho, já há recomendação do MP para que a prefeitura encerre os contratos com esses trabalhadores.

O promotor de Justiça e diretor do Centro de Apoio Operacional do Meio Ambiente, Carlos Henrique Siqueira Ribeiro, reiterou que, no final de 2017, o procurador Geral de Justiça, José Rony Almeida, enviou recomendação a todos os prefeitos de Sergipe sobre a necessidade de adequação dos matadouros municipais.

Após as interdições, foi realizada uma audiência pública no fórum de Tobias Barreto, com comerciantes, marchantes e representantes das gestões municipais, com o objetivo de esclarecer à população os objetivos da ação e os motivos da interdição.

Na audiência, foram apresentadas as regras que os marchantes e comerciantes deverão seguir, como o abate de animais apenas em frigoríficos certificados e o comércio de carnes refrigeradas e o uso de cepos de inox e serras elétricas para o corte das peças, entre outras.

Para a prefeitura de Tobias Barreto, Ministério Público Federal em Sergipe (MPF/SE) e o Ministério Público do Estado de Sergipe (MPSE) propuseram termos de ajustamento de conduta, com o objetivo de dar destinação diversa aos prédios interditados e de recuperar a área degradada.
