About the lando rumours, theres also been rumours about him currently taking legal action... which good for him if people spread lies about me with girls i'd be pissed too (seeing as no media outlets have pushed the story out and not a single bit of 'proof' was shared my guess is that those lando rumours are false)

The big issue we as fans need to be wary off, with any driver, is that a bunch of people like spreading fake rumours. Think of: Daniel and Heidi breakup rumours. Charles cheating rumours, Pierres cheating rumours, and a whole lot more. Those people that keep making up these rumours need to find a better thing to do with their time

I mean, I did say they were most likely fake 💁🏼‍♀️ the thing is there isn’t any one on the planet that doesn’t get a little thrill out of gossip. If people claim they don’t, they’re lying.

The difference is and the problem as you said, is when people (usually fans/fangirls) start taking a rumour as truth and fail to be able to see the “sources” aren’t credible. You can hear a rumour and have a little laugh about it without being offended (especially for celebrities!) For example I heard a rumour that my ex got circumcised (through his boys telling my girls and they told me) when he literally had a glorious dick (he had a separate procedure done). It’s a pinch of salt moment that has no impact on him. In my opinion, most rumours about Lando seem to roll off his back. If he is taking legal action then as you said good but I also think the only reason these rumours gain traction is because his fans are too obsessive over him - again, my opinion!

Now specifically, in my post I was joking that if he were to do that to me (choke me and asked if I liked it) I would be turned on by it because I happen to like that. Me. I do. Not anyone else. I didn’t say he did or he didn’t actually do that, I’m claiming it as a hypothetical situation. I am not to blame for other people starting a rumour that gained traction because of a lot of his own fans. Secondly, saying that he needs a lovehoney account is also a joke. Tbh, most guys that age should also invest in some “toys” and I don’t see why that would even be an offensive rumour 😂 good on him for considering making sure the girl is satisfied (from what I have seen there’s little context to that specific rumour either)

I’d like to also add that let’s take another potentially dangerous and/or career damaging rumour. There’s been a hell of a lot of rumours of Paul Mescal ditching his one night stands in parks by running away from them. Can the implication he doesn’t value women be drawn here? Yes. Could that be damaging? Yes. Are people getting angry about it or keeping it light hearted? No and yes! Is he probably aware of the rumour? Most likely.

To me this issue is literally about the “fandom” that has been cultivated around Lando (and other F1 drivers) and fully displays the negative impact of “fangirls” in sport in general

I also wish his fans would realise he is a 24/25 year old who has sex and no doubt masterbates. Hes not some cutesy little innocent boy 😂😂

hey this isn’t aimed at anyone in particular but I’m saying it for the record here: if I tell you no, please stop messaging me about fundraisers and mutual aid.

I get enough messages that it’s impossible for me to keep up without devoting at least half an hour each day, when I’m not even on tumblr that long most days. Me having a boundary about this isn’t a moral failing, it’s a lifeboat for me on my own blog.

In my personal life I’m already advocating and donating literally as much as I can spare. This is not me not caring, it’s just me not willing to interact with that on the one place I go online to not interact with irl news and world events for the most part.

I cannot be upset all the time. I cannot be upset everywhere. I cannot use all my emotional and mental energy fielding my own upset from ongoing events. My options are to hold boundaries about this or stop coming online at all.

I’m all for sharing information and signal boosting to reasonable extents, but the scale of it this year is so large and so enduring that it is literally not possible to for me to participate on every account I have. I’ve previously shared links to Gaza eSIM donations and a major hub of verified Go Fund Mes here and elsewhere online. We, the online humans, know how to look those things up ourselves by now. There are many, many people choosing to do advocacy work, and right now, I can’t be one of them.

If you’re extremely upset when I tell you I can’t share/donate right now about a Gaza family or personal fundraiser you ask me to share here, just unfollow and block me. That’s what those buttons are for. Protect your own emotions and energy and get me off your feed instead of staying upset and continuing to engage with online people or content that upsets you.

When adapting this chapter into an episode Toei did not explain nor demonstrate to us what the fuck that spike was (instead they gave us Sables #378545), so we're no closer to finding out what kinda new moves Crocodile might have up his sleeve, whether that really was a Haki-infused sand spike or what

But when I was checking the melting point of sand out of curiosity (to figure out if Crocodile has a fighting chance against Akainu, which in theory he does because Akainu isn't hot enough to melt sand (in theory)), I was reminded of the fact that sand is mostly made of silica

Or, in other words, quartz. Sand is, on average, made of crystal. Of course, sand is also made of other things and other minerals (not just quartz), but if we wanted to assume Croc's DF is made of one element and one element alone, then let's just assume it's 100% silica, right

And now I can't help but to wonder now though

Could Crocodile have learned a new technique where he somehow compresses and hardens his sand so much it can turn into large, solid crystals? Or more specifically, sharp pointy stabby weapons to murder people with? 'Cause. How fucking cool would that be

I’m bored out of my skull of the tabloid rumors, everyone’s just saying the same thing. Nothing is happening. I’m trying to find a way to parse this but like:

Make up culture is bad because of how capitalism has twisted appearance to be a basis of worth and social value. However, humans have been putting stuff on their skin since our ancestors started losing hair (maybe even before?) and ornamentation does have significant historic cultural value outside of modern late-capitalism induced self loathing.

Like. Make-up is not a thing in my immediate family. My mother and older sister? Nothing. My little sister is going to be so lucky to grow up in a space where she won’t have any expectation or support for make-up culture. I know make-up culture a shitty phenomenon; I know it steals time and money and self-worth from people at its worst and at its best feeds back into an appearance based cultural hierarchy.

But. But. There is such a rich and vibrant history to cosmetics outside of what is sold to reinforce that inevitably toxic culture. So many forms of art in face paint and more permanent and interesting body modification! There’s history and traceable evolving styles and intentions! And it fucking sucks that it’s been so corrupted to the point of no longer reflecting it’s original intent of being creative and unique and interesting!

Sometimes it just sounds like ‘don’t have tattoos don’t you know those annoying punks and degenerates have those?’ has just been repackaged as ‘don’t wear make-up don’t you know those annoying preps and conformists do that?’ Like I get what you’re trying to say but there is nuance to these conversations and willfully ignoring that nuance makes you sound ridiculous at best and outright hostile to any deviation from your standards at worst.

How old is Lucas really? I saw someone say that he is actually 17 years old because he fell asleep at that age and I am pretty sure that is not true 💀

I've been meaning to write a post about this but never got around to doing it. TL;DR: We don't know! So any specific answer anyone gives is only speculation and not canon.

In the novel, Lucas goes to live with the old Wizard of the Black Tower when he was a teenager (I believe around 15 years old), but in the manhwa he was clearly way, way younger. After an unspecified period of time, his teacher gets married and has a child, his wife and child die (presumably) from old age, and then he kills himself in front of Lucas (as he was depressed because he didn't age with them because of his mana). Lucas tells Athy that his teacher lived for 1.200 years, but we don't know at which point Lucas met the man, so that information is irrelevant for our purposes. The novel also states that Lucas lived long enough for his younger brother to get old (while Lucas didn't, again, because of the mana) and have a daughter (fun fact: Lucas saved her as she was very sick and his brother asked him to do so). There's also the fact that Lucas tells the World Tree that he has known him for "several hundred years" when he was looking for its fruits.

We don't know how much time passed between the death of Lucas' teacher and him meeting Aeternitas, but it was long enough for Lucas to become a very respected figure as the new Wizard of the Black Tower. Not long after refusing to take Aeternitas as his student, he decided to take a depression nap that would last for literal centuries. It was never stated how old Lucas was at this point, but I think he was definitely not 17.

We also don't know how much time passed between Aeternitas' rule and the events of WMMAP (and just for how long did Lucas sleep). Athy does say he is an old emperor, and there are history books written about him, but that doesn't give us any concrete answer.

Lastly, the royal wizards in the novel call Lucas "a couple of hundred years old".

How old is Lucas? We have no way to tell. I also want to address that this is the nature of all magic users in WMMAP's canon, as Lucas himself tells Athy that she will live for hundreds of years too, so while obviously uncommon, powerful magicians in the canon setting are supposed to live that long. Should we also count the years Lucas slept as being part of his age? Physically, yes, but not unlike Athy, Lucas' physical and mental ages are very different matters. There's also the fact that the manhwa clearly has a different timeline than the novel: In the manhwa, Lucas met his teacher as a child, and he killed himself while Lucas was still a child (or at least looked like one). So how much of the novel's canon information we can apply to the manhwa's setting is also debatable.

So, the only answer I can give is: Lucas canonically is "a couple of hundred years old". There are way too many unclear variables to consider, so anything more specific than that isn't supported by canon information.

That been said, Lucas told Athy he made himself look "around the same age as her", so from a physical point of view, and for anyone that doesn't know his true identity, he is "the same age" as Athy.

Do not submit my OCs to character rating blogs, especially fmk/"bed, wed, behead" style blogs without running the idea by me first, and if I say "no" then accept that "no" and don't just do it anyway.

In fact, don't do this sort of thing with anyone's OCs without their express permission. Yes, even if they're your close friend. Yes, even if they're a very well-known artist.

People's OCs are often very personal to them, and if someone outright says they're not comfortable with someone who didn't make them taking them and throwing them to the wilds like this, it's a complete lack of respect for the person's boundaries. Just don't.
