reading all marvel comics day 3 (but I'm late because I was at work a lot)
Daring Mystery Comics #1
The Fiery Mask - that moment when you're really tall so you learn to engineer zombies via hypnosis and accidentally give a guy superpowers. We're back with origin stories, but I do have to say that the panel organization is sometime incomprehensible
Soldier of Fortune - it's funny that John is just inexplicably by himself behind enemy lines and is somehow skilled enough to just steal a tank and drive out. Also they just ditch him in a war zone after he succeeds in getting Marie to the general???
The Texas Kid - Why is the only plot in westerns that some guy wants other people land??? Come up with something else???
Monako Prince of Magic - Actually kind of an interesting power, having a sort of ghostly double that you can see through. Lots of potential narrative and limitations with that. But also he has too many powers, they kind of just shift the narrative so he has a power for every situation he's in.
Gold Creek - a western concerning land again, but points for having mind controlled horses be a major part of the plot
Flash Foster - Imagine being kidnapped over your fiancé's college football game
Phantom of the Underworld - don't have much to say about this one, nothing felt particularly innovative
Barney Mullen Sea Rover - I'm surprised that this is the first story taking place primarily on boats and battles at sea
